"Some people were born on earth to be sent to hell." ░░Cameron Harth░░ Hell Hound It had been about a week since Cammy had arrived in Washington and she already hated the city. It was crowded, loud and the people here but her on edge more then ever. Most likely because Providence was located here and there had been many rumours about that place. All Cammy knew is if she stayed out of fight and her powers didn't act she should be fine. Though there was one thing Cammy liked about this city and that was the coffee. Cammy and traveled all over America but the coffee here she liked the best. Mostly because it reminded her of home when she was a child. Making her way to a near by cafe by her hotel she entered to busy little cafe. The young woman hesitated a little if she should even bother ordering a coffee from how busy it was. In the end though, Cammy went in line and managed to order her drink after repeating herself a couple times do to the fact she spoke in such a soft and quiet voice. Once her drink was in her hand she got out of the busy cafe as soon as possible and sat at a empty table that was right outside the cafe. Most people stayed inside the cafe as it was cold outside but Cammy didn't mind the cold. She rather sit outside alone then be inside a crowded place. Pulling her phone and earphones out of her jacket she put on her headphones to try to drown out the city noise on focuss on the music and the strong smell of her coffee with cream and maybe a little to much sugar.

"As a girl I wanted to be just like those heroes in the books.Someone who fought for what was right and protect people who couldn't protect themselves." Lexi Darksilver Halo
“I have no desire for Jayson to live. I just didn't want you to kill him in the Providence lobby mere minutes after Alvin called you a murderer. Especially when security seemed content to leave him be.” She explained to him. While he had a only a few vocal opponents, she didn't want them have anything more to hold against Mathis than they already did. A little situational awareness on his part was needed. Of course that involved him caring what the people of Providence thought in the first place. Lexi couldn't help but give a slightly amused half smile as he demanded to know why she was really there in that familiar monotone. Somethings never changed. “I've already told you. I'm here to apologize. Perhaps see how you are doing after the events at the meeting. I don't want anything from you.” Well that wasn't totally true. There were a lot of things she wanted from Mathis. For him to believe her about his past. For him to not think their entire relationship was nothing but a job.

However, due to the snow outside, she opted for a long brown coat and a scarf over her usual clothing, and had a hood pulled snugly over her hair. Her boots crunched through the layer of snow on the sidewalk as she made her way towards her favorite little coffee shop. It was quite busy on this particular day, and the line went almost to the door. As she stood there, she contemplated the fact that the high school's winter break would be over soon. She still had to grade the student's final projects from before break, and her deadline was closing in. Finally, the line died down and she had reached the counter. She ordered her coffee -- a 16oz americano with an extra shot of espresso and piled with whipped cream. She waited at the other end of the counter until she had the warm cup in her hands, and then turned to exit the building.
On her way out the door, she paused as one of the belt loops on her jacket caught on the door handle. She fiddled with it for a moment, slipping the loop back off, and then turned to keep going. Ainsley didn't realize, however, that there was an outdoor table right beside her. Nor did she realize anyone would be sitting outside at it. She bumped into the edge of the table, tilting it slightly and spilling her own coffee, as well as the coffee of the lavender-haired girl that was seated there. Ainsley turned back quickly holding up her hands in apology. "I'm so sorry! Are you alright? Did it spill on you?" She asked with genuine concern, setting her own cup down on the table to survey the mess she had made. "Here, hold on. Let me go get some napkins." The blonde offered, hurrying back inside to grab some out of the basket, and then returned to the table. She began to lay the napkins out across the mess on the table, hoping they would soak it up. She looked over at the other girl's cup, her coffee mostly empty after that. "Can I buy you a new one?" She asked, feeling terrible that the girl's mostly full cup was now all over the table and the snow around it. ↳ooc: ...

Mathis Mathews
"If we worry about where we kill our enemies we will never succeed. When an opportunity presents itself, take it." Mathis said thoughtlessly before moving to another topic she had brought up, probably unintentionally. "Alvin? He's the one with the long hair and cane right? What do you know about him? What can he do?" Mathis didn't care enough to do his own research. A mistake on his part. "And as to my own health, I am fine. I didn't expect to come back here and have everyone forget that I killed their friends."

"Some people were born on earth to be sent to hell." ░░Cameron Harth░░ Hell Hound The young skittish woman closed her eyes and tried to relax as much as possible. She had her coffee, her music and she was alone outside to enjoy it all instead being in a crowded cafe. Cammy would only go into a cafe if it was not busy or if she had a real craving for a good cup of coffee and today it was one of those days. She nuzzled herself into her over size jacket to keep herself warm. Her mind wondered off as she tried to relax and distract herself from all the noises and smells around her. She thought about where she may travel to next and how she would make money to travel or have some place to stay. In the summer it was easier for her to travel as she could sleep outside if she didn't have the money for a hotel but that wasn't really a option in the winter. She was just starting to relax but that was soon shattered. The sound of something hitting the table made her eyes open wide as she saw a blonde woman had bumped into the table, making her spill her own drink along with spilling Cammys drink as well. Just as sudden as the blonde hand bumped into the table, startled Cammy had jumped out of her seat and almost tripped over her seat from how fast she stood up and stepped away. Looking at the now coloured snow she slowly took out her headphones and looked at the blonde who was now apologizing and asking if she was alright. " Uh..." She looked down at her jeans and jacket to see if any of the coffee got on her, which it did but only a little on her shoes. Before Cammy could to try to see say anything more the woman ran back into the stood. Looking back at the table she moved her now almost empty coffee cup out of the way before pulling out a couple crumple napkins out of her pocket and trying to clean up what she could. When the blonde came back with more napkins and started to lay them out on the table Cammy moved away a little so that there was a good amount of space between them. " A-Ah no its fine." The lavender haired girl said as she rubbed the coffee off her shoe with some snow.

『 Ȼɑɼɱεɳ Ϣɼɩʈε 』 “I just ask that you treat her with as much kindness as you can and remember that whatever her actions she is innocent in all of this. She needs help and she needs to be separated from Mathis.” Ironic for someone on medication to control her hallucinations to say, but at least Carmen knew she had problems and were working on them. Speaking of her hallucinations, she noticed a few insects in the room. More than a few, but she knew this café was clean, so she chalked it up to all being in her mind. “How many people do you think we need? Though dangerous, he is just one man.” She asked Alvin. Between her illusions and his transmutation she figured they could take him. Then she saw Alvin turn one of the bugs into a crystal and realized it wasn’t in her mind at all. “There are a couple bugs on your shirt.” She pointed out. “And on the floor.” ✨ What if a dream was reality and reality was a dream? Lexi knew this was a topic they would never fully agree on. Not anymore. Besides she had come to apologize, not fight with him on morality and perception. So she didn’t answer that statement and moved onto Alvin. “Alvin is the overly emotional one with the long hair and the cane.” She confirmed. “Despite his behaviour during the meeting, I wouldn’t underestimate him. He’ll come after you with a plan and he does intent to come after you. Likely he’s already contacted Carmen to find out what she knows about you. His power is transmutation, with the notable weakness that he cannot transmute human flesh.” Some of it came from what she had seen in his aura, others from his file. Unlike Mathis, she had taken an interest in Alvin after the meeting mostly because of what she had seen in him. She had also tried to warn Mathis, but it seemed he hadn’t listened to her given he didn’t even know Alvin’s power. “You seemed quiet angry and frustrated.” Lexi wasn’t sure if she had any right to push the topic and make such a comment. Cold and detached Mathis she could handle. Mathis shouting and slamming his fist on a table disturbed her.

Mathis Mathews
"Transmutation? That's problematic. I suppose I can't just kill him. not while he is loyal to Providence." Mathis spoke his thoughts out loud as they entered his mind. Something he often found himself doing these days. He didn't know why but he struggled to keep thoughts in his head during times like this where millions of things ran through his mind. "Let him come, I am working with Providence, there is nothing he can do to me. Unfortunately that works both ways. I don't care what he thinks, or what the lunatic thinks. If they attack me, I'll kill them. but I won't go out of my way to do so." Then she brought up his frustration and he sighed. "I knew people wouldn't like me. I knew that there would be some opposition. But I didn't think that it would be so open. I worked with Providence, then the Dominion, and now Providence again. Why is that such an issue? Sure I killed people but we are at war. If it wasn't me, it would have been someone else and at least I make it quick. Most of the people I knew in the Dominion prefer to make it hurt."

It appeared that the coffee had only splattered her shoes, and she was able to wipe it off with some ease. The girl stepped back awkwardly, putting far more distance than necessary between the two of them. She seemed quite thrown off by the whole event, which only made Ainsley feel worse. "Come on, it isn't a problem, really! I just wasn't watching out." She insisted, trying to push the frightened girl just a bit. Ainsley opened the door to the cafe again, the line that had been there when she had first arrived had died down quite a bit, and there was only one other person standing at the counter. "See? There's not even a line! It'll be quick!" She urged, trying to make amends for her carelessness. She didn't want to be responsible for ruining the girl's day, and she knew how important a cup of coffee could be. Besides, people paid a lot of money for coffee these days, and she didn't want to have wasted this girl's money. ↳ooc: ...

( LOCATION ) xA cafe in D.C. tab ( FEELS ) x Terrified. tab ( WEARING ) xOver-sized hoodie and sweatpants. A backpack with her costume and gear in it.They're gonna kill someone. Laura thought. Why? What had he done? Were they gonna kill her if they found out she had heard? All these thoughts were rushing through her mind. That was until the man turned the fly into a crystal. She felt it just disappear off the radar. Like it was there one second, then didn't exist the second. Panicking, Laura had the bugs under her clothes swarm out and cover her. After a few seconds, she could've been anyone. Identifying her would be impossible. Laura didn't have a plan, but she'd already been compromised. She'd talk her way out of it, if possible, but now every bug was within combat distance. Millions of fliers, most with some form of bite or sting. The ones strong enough carried spiders or less mobile, but equally useful, bugs. If things got violent, she'd be ready. As she stood up, bugs rushed into the room from every available entrance, and formed humanoid figures that she quickly melded into, masking her true location. From any else's perspective, it'd look as if the figures came from nothing. Bugs began swarming the room, finding a spot that wasn't bug filled would be almost impossible at this point. Hundreds of bugs began crawling over the two deviants across the cafe from her, attempting to make their presence obvious. When she spoke she used the bugs around the room to amplify her voice. It sounded like she was talking from every corner of the shop. "Planning someone's death at a coffee shop? That's just... that's just dumb."

"Some people were born on earth to be sent to hell." ░░Cameron Harth░░ Hell Hound Once the Cammy had gotten the coffee off of her shoes with the snow she was ready to leave but the blonde insisted that she buy her a cup of coffee. " Really it's fine, don't worry about it." She said, looking off to the side as she shoved her phone and headphones back into her jacket pocket. It was an accident and Cammy was not mad or upset about it at all. If anything she felt as the one who was the bother for the blonde. Shoving her hands into her pocket, the young woman turned around and took a couple steps before the blonde once again insisted on buying her a new cup of coffee. Cammy stopped and looked into the coffee shop through the window to see that there no line at the counter. Letting out a sigh she turned around to face the blonde now at the door. " Just a small coffee...Cream and extra sugar."
