"Yeah you drunken git, you demanded to wear it." Al said while unraveling it to show his shorter black hair underneath. His bangs were at least three times as long as the rest of his hair, which was actually clean for once. "There, you've seen it sober. Now can you stop bringing it up?"
"I wear my scarf a normal amount and it's not like I see you without yours that often," he mentally noted Melvin's current lack of one.

The fact that Melvin also wasn't wearing any sweaters or khakis was also a thing to note. He also wasn't wearing his googles at all.
"I have my reasons." He grumbled. One being the tattoo on his neck.
Turning over to his side, he stared at them a moment, and narrowed his eyes a bit trying to recall that night. What the hell would he wear Al's scarf?
Dismissing it as not at all important, he propped his head in one hand. "So, didn't you guys want DvDs or something? I can't remember everything from last night. Ya know, before my life ended and all. Thanks for that by the way."

"Most of us have our scarves on a lot of the time," Noah felt compelled to point out. It was the uniform, after all.
At the question, he looked away, the fading blush reappearing.

"Oh s**t yeah!" Al immediately lit up, all else forgotten under the heel of childish excitement. He'd almost completely forgotten. "You got something to play it on, right Noah?"

"You two are adorable in that annoyingly naive kinda way." He said, pushing up off the bed and moving to what had appeared to be a large, black chest with silver studs for clothes.
Twisting the code in, he popped open the chest and moved several smaller bags of silk and velvet and elegant, metal cases down to the side. As he moved things around, there were glimpses of neatly bundled ropes in different colors and material being moved to one side of the chest. "Magazines or DVDs?" He asked, the sounds of rattling chains could be heard as Melvin moved something within the chest.
"Also, before you ask, the DVDs are sterilized. I'm particular." He informed them.

On one hand, the glimpses of things made Noah curious. On the other, that was really just kind of too much information. He was not going to try to look. "Um. My laptop can play DVDs," he said. He wasn't going to address either the adorable or annoying c omments.

Al too ignored the adorable and annoying remark as neither one was a compliment. Unlike Noah, he came up behind Melvin to peek curiously. "What's that?" He pointed at nothing in particular as Melvin shifted through the contents.

Melvin was busy neatly rearranging things gently out of the way when he heard Al ask him a question.
"Hmm? Oh that's just a double ended -WHATAREYOUDOINGOVERHERE?!!!"
He hurled his weight to slam the chest as he turned a bright shade of red. It was one thing to talk but to have someone just looking into a display of your intimate interest was something else entirely.

Al chuckled at the flustered response he'd gotten and asked a follow up without skipping a beat. "What's it for?"

He pressed down on the chest as he debated that explaination. "Both people use it."
That's all that Al would get.
Narrowing his eyes at Al, he slowly opened the chest again. "Just...watch some DVDs and you'll know more. I'm not about to pull out everything I have to let you poke at my personal life."
Reaching down, he pulled out a set of DVDs, an accumulation ranging from his time on the island, through Rin, and into his time with Lawr.
"Some of these purchases were just stuff I was curious about. Don't read too much into them." He sorted through them and held out a DVD. "This one will answer your previous question." He then walked over and held out the stack to Noah. "Pick which ones you want to borrow unless you guys are gonna take the whole thing for now. I don't care. Life is hell anyways."

Noah flushed brighter red, if that was possible, and silently picked out a few DVDs; he wasn't taking Melvin up on the idea of the whole stack, because that seemed kind of rude, and anyway he wasn't sure if Melvin meant that. "Um, thank you," he said, subdued.

Al took the video Melvin handed him and read the title out loud, "Tits of Fury 4?"
"What happened to one, two, and three?" He was just being a s**t for the sake of being a s**t. Honestly, he hoped to at the very least bring a little something different to Melvin's day, other than apparently sleeping all day with heavy metal blaring.
He followed Melvin and curiously watched Noah's choices before combing through the offerings a second time, picking out a few racier titles of specific subjects.
"And these. I'd take them all but, I think you're full of it about not needing any." Especially now without other inspiration. He thought the last bit to himself.

"The other ones weren't that good." He mumbled as he closed the chest again and sat on it.
"I am not exactly in any mood for anything, Al. I wouldn't offer if I wasn't serious. I'm a bit annoyed you would think people just get right back at things so quickly. I spent years with Lawr. Don't make it sound I'm just gonna bang one off now that he isn't around. I'm not ******** overjoyed right now."
He watched them sort through the titles one by one. Thinking better of it, he got up and went to a closet and fished out a bag he used for shopping and held it out for them to use. "I doubt you want to walk around with an armful of porn. Here. You can take this for now."

Noah accepted the bag and put the DVDs into it. It was a thoughtful gesture. "Thank you," he said again. He hesitated a moment, then, "We don't mean to be, um, weird about it. We just were worried about you ... I mean, maybe we don't know you so well but we just. We wanted you to know we were concerned. Is all."

Al tucked the remaining DVDs in the bag while Noah was holding it. "Yeah, you're a smart man and s**t. Losing you would be a huge loss all around. M'just no good at this sort of thing. I'm no professional, but a professional could really help. There's no shame in doing whatever you need to to get your life back."
He straightened the DVDs to sit in the bag better and offered his hand to take them, figuring carrying them through the dorms might make Noah more anxious than he already was.
"The offer of help anyway we can always stands."
