Captain Titanite

Red stumbled as she walloped him, and then slammed his elbow into her, rushing into her space until he was too close for the kicks, and in full-on boxing range. s**t. She did not want to go full on hand-to-hand with him, even in a relatively pleasant combat situation. "I would resent being called a stray," Titanite told them with a laugh, "but I rather firmly resemble the remark."

He'd gotten in her face, however, and she took full advantage of the situation, leaning in to plant a firm kiss (and a brief, playful lick) to the tip of his nose before spinning away. Call her a stray, would he? "Pass the kiss on to the beautiful Meteora for me, Red." she peered at his face, grinning. "You're starting to match your nickname."

Wagging her fingers at Meteora, she told the lovely woman, "Cats were like gods, in the old days of my people. The Mau. We had gods- Mafdet, and her lion head; Bast, Maahes, Tefnut, Sekhmet. I would leave the cats alone. No such promises on the guests." Meteora winked, and Titanite laughed. "I will definitely come back to chat with you," she promised, "no matter what my handlers choose to piss."

Stepping back, Titanite decided to make her exit- however brief. "Calm your face, Red. I will be back soon enough, and we can entertain your girl again. I cannot make up for a s**t date, but I can give you a workout to remember, at least." a bawdy wink, a pause. "Or at least some bruises." Twisting, she took off with her magical speed, leaping up, and over, and vanishing towards the Green zone.

"W-aw-... jeeze!" Kairatos jerked back in surprise as the quick, unexpected peck on the nose turned into an equally quick, even less anticipated -lick-, wiping away saliva with the back of his hand and sputtering as Titanite retreated in obvious amusement.

He didn't bother trying to chase her down, wiping the back of his nose again just to be sure, and shot Meteora a sidelong look, trying to suggest silence though he knew there was no force on earth that would hold back sarcasm whose time had come.

"Well that was fun.... Wanna pick the next match up?" There was still nonsense going on, a rogue youma... and that was just within relative spitting distance.

"I mean that was fun but..." He danced on his feet slightly, trying to indicate that he was feeling good and ready to go, and to dismiss any arguments she might have over his weaker points.

General Lecuite

As Stibnite pointed out the blue haired Officer, Lecuite recognized her and frowned. "You go on ahead - call me if you need me... That's one of the ones I'm hoping to recruit."

Well - at least bring back into the fold.

Thankfully they were close enough to him that he didn't need to teleport, instead, choosing to simply leap down and rush toward the whiteclad page with his spear held low and a small displeased look on his face.'

"Well, Knight - if you're going to try and poach those weaker than yourself - I shall do the same!"

Then he brought the blade of his spear up in a flash, aiming it for the female page's midsection - his face clinical and cold as he did so. "Such a shame - I'd hate to waste the potential..."

Haüyne, Super Corrupted of Execution

All those cartoons about marching stars after being hit by an anvil were totall accurate. Haüyne's face snapped to the side with the elbow planting a shiner all along the side, and sparkly white chysanthemum stars bloomed around what resolved into the captain from earlier totally gettin' tag-teamed across the way after a hot second. Dizzying or not, The Machine immediately turned attention to that loafer eternal long enough to yell, "DO YOU NEED AN INVITATION?? HELP THE CAPTAIN! ATTACK SPARKLE PANTS! SOMETHING!"

Hurrrrrrrrryyyyyyyy uuuuuuuuuuup- There wasn't time to say anything witty at the enemy engaged. Fingers traced down the red wrist daggers in unison- "By The Axe!"

The weapon formed and was launched with a spray of magical blood.

HP: 149 / 170
DMG: Magic - Strikes 1 target for 40 damage.
Normal Effect Summary. The axe makes moderate wounds where it cuts. It is corporeal enough to actually remove someone else's body part- severe damage is only allowable by other player's consent and preference. Otherwise it just inflicts deep lacerations.

Eternal Corrupt Chrysocolla of Moods

There was sound and rattle from around the corner, a General leaping into action against a Page and a Knight -- and she felt a little better about it, so Chrysocolla trailed Leucite, silently leaping behind him, circling around behind Kairatos. "So chivalrous," she said quietly, at Leucite's comment; but at the same time she dove for the Knight in red, jeweled fist out, dancing back almost immediately after she made contact. It wasn't a hard hit - she was still shaky from her earlier panic attack, still wobbly, but the stones on the back of her glove were hard-cut jewels and they scraped cruel against his neck with the speed of it.

She said nothing more, then.

(She hadn't looked, even once, at Haüyne even when they yelled; in fact, Chrysocolla made no sign she'd heard them or she'd seen Kerberos fight back at all. As far as she was concerned -- there was nobody there, not at that stairwell, nobody in shining white. Nobody at all.)

Apparently the string of surprises and the painful scrape of jeweled fingers across his neck left Kairatos in no particular mood to deal with a corrupt senshi, when he'd rather be turning his attention to the General, because rather than wasting time on a verbal reply, he snarled in a burst of fury and turned enough to swing an backhand with his bracer at the corrupt senshi of moods.

He didn't have time for this broken doll bullshit when a general was trying to impale Meteora.

Sinope; DMS of Slyness

There was so. Much. Drama.

A couple of Order who appeared to be lovers (Kairatos & Meteora) fighting alongside each other to face the trio of Negaverse agents, one of which was a Captain (Titanite). Corrupt senshi (Chrysocolla & Haüyne) bickering a bit with one another, and then with him, both telling him in no uncertain terms that if he wasn't with them, he was against them and he should leave if he wasn't going to make himself useful to the Negaverse. The mention that they weren't a zoo exhibit to be gawked at and the insult of being called a 'Mirror Witch' just served to spice things up.

Yes, there was much drama to be spectated here, and Sinope loved every moment of said drama - right up until he discovered the youma that seemed dead set on gnawing his face off. Maybe the Corrupt Senshi hadn't bothered to attack with more than words, but it seemed someone had. Or, at least, not concerned themselves with trying to call off their youma minions.

In truth, Sinope didn't expect help. He was a neutral party and while he generally expected to be treated as such, he was also vaguely surprised that the Order couple hadn't attacked him along with the Negas on the mere principle that he, too, was of Chaos. Of course they didn't do anything to get the youma off him either, but again, he hadn't really expected them to. They had enough of their own problems to deal with to worry about an individual whose loyalties were unclear. That was how Sinope thought it should have been, too - each person for themselves and their own. If you wasted your time going around trying to help anyone and everyone, nothing would get done and the one who ended up suffering the most would be you.

That philosophy didn't really help him in his current situation, though. The fact of the matter was, as wonderful a perch as the rowhouses were to see the fights taking place over yonder, if the rowhouses themselves became a battleground, it wasn't worth it to him to stick around. It was already far busier than he'd anticipated it to be and Sinope was too close to the fighting for comfort.

He contemplated whether or not he owed the Knight - of Mars? - for having wiped out the first youma, because the Dark Mirror senshi would not stand to leave debts unpaid because he hated in being in others' debts. However, he managed to reason that the Knight had simply been saving himself and his girlfriend, and as he hadn't bothered touching the second youma who had made Sinope his own personal target, it seemed fair to say that Kairatos hadn't and wasn't about to intervene for the teenager's sake. Which, again, Sinope could respect.

The Dark Mirror soldier had just come for the show, though; to watch from the sidelines, not to be an involuntarily active participant smack dab in the middle of it. If that was what he had to deal with for this vantage point, he could find somewhere else to watch everything from. Sinope didn't like to be told what to do, so he might have stayed just to spite the Corrupt senshi who had told him to scram - maybe to yell things at them, distract them, and otherwise cause general mischief for them while they were busy fighting their Order enemies - but he wasn't sticking around if he had to deal with being attacked.

Just as he'd managed to finally wrestle the nuisance of a youma off him (which was no easy task for someone as scrawny and as adverse to physical, brute force as Sinope), the red head caught sight of a Negaverse Captain (Stibnite) teleporting from view. That lady had the right idea. It was time to blow this popsicle stand before he got hurt any worse than he already was. Maybe he could come back later when it was less crowded.

Sticking his tongue out at the powered beings still going at each other, Sinope turned on his heel and started heading northward in great bounds toward the offices and pizza place located there. What he wouldn't have done for a slice of pizza just then.

Hvergelmir Knight of the Cosmos

Nothing about this situation made Hvergelmir at all comfortable with the notion of leaving Kerberos behind and continuing onward. If she stayed, perhaps she could use Eikthyrnir to teleport him away to safety if things turned rough . . . or perhaps, with her inability to fight, she'd simply be a danger to herself and a risk to him. And there was still the matter of the tangle of combatants a few streets away . . .

But Kerberos was staying behind to help ensure she'd be able to move onward, and she shouldn't squander that. Besides, he was an eternal sailor soldier, and combat seasoned by long years in the Negaverse and familiarity with their methods. It was not a decision she liked -- but as Hvergelmir pried the grill open on a large HVAC duct and hauled herself up inside it, she told herself that there were probably going to be no decisions she fully liked here.

She'd chosen her path on arrival. She'd stick to it.

Hvergelmir powered down to Laney to avoid her energy signature betraying her as she moved through the ventilation ductwork toward the main source of the action.

Eternal Corrupt Chrysocolla of Moods

Chrysocolla cried out in pain, reeling backwards from the backhand, and she turned in fear to hear Hvergelmir's voice ring from the rooftops and Schorl call -

and she was gone before Kairatos could blink, nothing left to mark her passing but a scrap of fabric from where her back had slid against the wall too hard.

Eternal Sailor Kerberos of Asphodel

It was too tight a space to fight in comfortably, Kerberos knew, but he would just have to make due with what he had. Unfortunately, that meant that when magic came flying at him,t here wasn't much room to dodge - and so all he could do was take it, and it hurt, a shot to the chest, opening a wound that began to bleed sluggishly.

Later. He'd deal with it later. It hurt, but he was still standing, and that was the important thing. He brought up a fist and swing for the solar plexus, considering potential escape routes so he could catch up with Hvergelmir and get to the center of the action.

He just had to get this Corrupt off him -- a difficult, but not impossible, task.

Meteora, Page of Cosmos

Holy cow...that had been way to close for anyone's comfort. In the last second, Met had been able to drop back and landed on her behind, her scarf sliding out from her hand as she tried not to hit her head. She blinked several times before processing the large man standing before her and the spear passed just where she had been standing.

For the first time since she became a knight, fear flashed across Meteora's face. It was a cold realization of what was out there. Every agent she had ever met had been...kind? It made her wonder silently what the others were talking about from time to time.

This man though gazed at her with no compassion, no care. He had one focus...to kill her...

"Uh...Kai..." She mumbled, having not even noticed the senshi come and leave.

"GO!"

Battle, where things tended to be reduced to short burst thoughts and stimuli, wasn't the time to be eloquent, and he needed his focus on Leucite. And keeping him from hurting Meteora. He needed to buy her time to get away, hell to give her enough time to say her oath and go to her wonder if that was what it took...

He lashed out with the net, as hard as he could, though Leucite was no youma, hit him like he was hoping the weights would lock the net to him and tear his head off, or like he'd keep trying till something came off, and prayed to at least knock the General off balance long enough to give Meteora a window.

"Don't turn your back on ME!" He added, furiously. Pay attention to him, not Meteora. He could handle this.

The others were gathering around the central chaos, he was loosely aware of that, but right now he was going to have to count on other knights and other senshi to disarm that trap. He had personal concerns.

(Rolling to hit Leuc, ignoring Chrysocolla's retreat.)

Haüyne, Super Corrupted of Execution

Warning bells went off in thought, the feelings of ambient chaos from other presences having noticeably lessened- the captain gone. The eternal doubly useless and gone. Haüyne growled inarticulate noises that didn't need words. No doubt that jerk scarpered. WHAT A USELESS SACK. Leaving...someone here general? Against two and me with this and the other knight escaped somewhere.

Was it possible to report a higher up for being useless? Probably not. Unless a higher higher up noticed, it was probably just tagged insubordination. DISTRACTION-

Cough and a stumble back a few steps. Haüyne wheezed, coughed again, then sprung in for a retaliatory chomp.

General Lecuite

If Leucite heard the call he chose to ignore it, instead focusing on the Knight now as the Page skittered away from his swing. A shame that - he'd of at least liked to have bled her a little - stained the dress at least but he'd have to settle for her skittering back like a frightened child. Maybe it would teach her not to take the Negaverse so lightly.

The Knight though - was going to be a problem. The net was weighted enough that the anchors hurt, didn't quite tangle him up though, so he turned his cold - emotionless face to Kairatos and with a small nod of his head said.

"Well, I suppose I shall have to take care that I do not."

Bringing the bottom of his spear up, he made a hard jab to the man's chest, hoping to push him back to just out of range of his net so he could bring the pointed end of his spear back to bear.

Eternal Sailor Kerberos of Asphodel

there was a bright flare of light, not far away - far enough thaKerberos wasn't blinded, but close enough to attract his attention.

He knew that light. He knew that magic.

Hvergelmir.

Things had to be dangerous if she was willing to use her magic; it was a brilliant beacon, and it would draw plenty of attention, and that would only make this more complex. So if she was sending it up, she needed help, and he had to get out of this and get to her.

It was unfortunate, then, that he was paying so little attention, because he felt teeth sink into his forearm and he yelped.

"What the <********>" he said, disbelieving -- but he grit his teeth and brought his hand up. "Asphodel's Regret!" He declared, and he blew, and he hoped the magic would serve as a functional distraction to buy him enough time to start running for wherever Hvergelmir was.

HP: 130/200
ATK: 15
DEF: 5
DMG:

Quote:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Asphodel's Regret!
Sailor Kerberos cups his hands in front of his face and says the name of his attack, then blows. Asphodel petals fly out of his hands towards one target within eight feet of him. The target begins to feel a deeper, stronger regret, as well as a feeling of clinging hopelessness, though the apparent "reason" will vary from person to person, and may be something they wouldn't normally regret at all. The effect is the same no matter the target's rank. This effect lasts for 30 seconds. Sailor Kerberos can use this twice per battle.

BATTLE EFFECT: Target receives accuracy -2 for 3 posts.
