Sherry nodded. "That's true. I mean, there was no sign on him in the mirror, so maybe he's gone." She looked at Jason. "You don't feel him or anything, do you?" Sherry realized she had no idea how these things worked. "Where were you when he was here? Just in mirrors?"

"N-no, not at all." It was strange. Jason didn't feel his presence at all, although he couldn't exactly 'feel' the other 'Jasons' he had been before. He just figured they existed somewhere inside of him, or where just strange dreams. "I couldn't say where he is, though hopefully nowhere." "I was..." He stopped. "I'm..honesty not sure myself. It was like I was me, but I couldn't control a thing I did or say. Yet sometimes I felt like I was watching from behind a mirror. That's the best I can describe it." It wasn't a pleasant feeling. He sighed. "F-for a while...I felt horrible, worried that was what Zanthvos felt all the time. Like he was just a spectator and unable to do a thing but watch from my head. J-just a prisoner..."

"Nowhere is a good place for him," Sherry said with a frown. Her look softened. "That sounds horrid." No wonder he'd been so distressed in the mirror. Being there and knowing what was going on, but unable to do anything about it. Just watching. Helpless. It was a feeling Sherry knew and hated, too. She gave his hand another squeeze. "Zanthvos? Is he your weapon?" She could feel Armagnac stirring at the thought.

He nodded. "Y-yeah. It was...And y-yeah, Zanth is my weapon. He's..." Jason looked away from Sherry, not wanting to meet her gaze. "He's gone now. I can't feel him. N-not permanently...at least I don't think. H-he's tired from...healing all the damage. It took a lot out of him, I can tell..." His hand clutched at the blankets, just covering his abdomen.

Sherry tilted her head in worry. "I'm sure it's not permanent. You're right he's probably just tired," Sherry agreed with a nod. She knew weapons did that. It was when they didn't come back you had to worry. A dead weapon meant a dead hunter. "He'll be back soon, I'm sure." She opened her mouth to say something else, then closed it again. Jason had said he'd been the cause of this. Yet if it was bad enough that he couldn't hear his weapon, heck that he was still in bed, then it had been bad. "What happened? How bad-" As soon as the words left her mouth Sherry was kicking herself; she looked away. "Sorry. You don't have to say." She was watching his hand grasp at the blankets. He was clearly upset, and here she was asking insensitive questions. Good job, Sherry.

There it came, that dreaded question. Jason skin grew pale as he contemplated telling her. Revealing just how bad things got to this wonderful young woman who was so happy and care free. He already put her through hell, what would happen if he told her he had tried to... "...." He couldn't do it. He didn't want to tell her what happened. How could he when just trying to comprehend his own actions was hard enough. "..S-sorry." He hung his head, eyes shut tightly. "I c-can't tell you right now..."

Sherry berated herself as she saw his reaction to her question. That was probably the worst thing she could have said, honestly. "No," she said, shaking her head. "Don't be sorry. I'm sorry for asking. It's not my place, and it doesn't matter." She paused and shifted in her seat. "All that matters is you are here, and you'll be okay." Another pause. "I'm really glad I know that wasn't you before. I think that matters, too." She wasn't lying at all, but she was trying to make up for pressing him. "You'll be okay, your weapon will be okay, and we know the truth. That's what's important."

"N-no it's fine" Jason held up his hands, palms facing outward to try and calm her down. "Y-you don't have to beat yourself up. Y-you didn't say anything wrong, i-it's just I'm not ready to talk about it. T-that's all." "Y-yeah, It's a g-good thing you know. H-he was just a fake version for me, so none of that horrible stuff he said is t-true. N-now i'm here. I j-just have to wait for my weapon to recover, get t-things sorted out and everything w-will be okay..." Oh god she hoped so. Then Jason looked ill. "H-hey...H-have you seen Solia around? D-do you know if she's okay?"

"Okay," she nodded. She still felt bad for pressing it. He'd never have to tell her, but she didn't say that. It didn't seem like the best time. "Right." Things would be okay. People would understand, Jason would be fine, and things would be right as ever. Things would be fine. Sherry was sure of that. One way or another things would be okay. She was more than willing to vouch about what she'd seen in the mirror to anyone that needed to hear it. She was just about to say so when Jason asked a very important question. "Solia? No, I haven't seen her lately. I," Sherry paused to think, "I haven't heard anything bad, so I'm guessing she's okay." Sherry knew Solia, but she hadn't spoken to her in ages. She hoped she was okay. "When did you last see her? Do I need to go ask about her?" She'd track down someone who knew something if she had to.

"I h-hope so." Jason had been so out of it the past few days, images blurry and nonsensical, he couldn't tell if she had been by his bedside or not. She must of been so worried, and he could only hope she hadn't realized what had transpired. "It was a f-few days ago I think." It was hard to remember exact times and days. "I can't remember whats happened while I've been here. I j-just want to know if she's okay, or if she's worried." He wanted to reassure her that he was fine. Physically at least.

Sherry pursed her lips. "I'm sure she's worried, either way. You're in the infirmary, if she wasn't worried I'd be surprised." She was trying to put humor in her tone. "I could," she began, then thought better of it. "Do you have your phone? You could message her, maybe?"

"O-of course." He knew she'd be worried, which had him worried because she was worried and then it just ended up into a huge worry spiral. "Ah! Of course." He'd completely forgotten about it. Jason glanced to his bedside where his phone had been placed, grabbed it, and started sending texts with themes 'I'm OK' 'Don't worry' 'plz don't worry' 'i'm not ded' 'r u ok' 'do you need hugs' "I hope these are okay..." he mumbled, sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "God I hope she's okay..."

Sherry watched as Jason began to send a message (or many - she wasn't reading over his shoulder because that was rude). She had to smile at how much he was typing though. "I'm sure they're fine," she said, holding up her hands in a it's all okay motion. "She'll be happy to hear from you. I'm sure she's okay, just worried." Anyone in her position would be, honestly. "Worry is a normal reaction, so don't stress about that. Just think about how happy she'll be to hear from you." She glanced around the room again. She was starting to think that Solia should be here instead of her. Or well, anyone that Jason knew better than Sherry did. "Is there anyone else you want me to try and find for you? Also, if you feel tired and want to rest let me know." Just in case she was bothering him.

Anyone else? Well, there were people he wanted to talk to and try explain what happened, but he felt he would need a FEAR shield first because he was pretty sure they would want to beat him up first. "N-not at the moment, thank you." He just hoped Ace and Joy were okay. Kai and Melvin he was sure were okay but, well. he was extremely nervous to approach them just yet. "I-i'm okay, y-you can stay as long as you want." It was nice talking to someone, and he didn't want to chase her off.

"Okay," a quiet nod. Now might not be the best time for a string of visitors anyway. Rest was important at times like this. She nodded again. "Okay, but be sure and let me know if you change your mind about that." She would sit here for at least a bit longer, Jason. Sherry paused, trying to think of something good to talk about. "You know, I didn't get the chance to tell you, I don't think," she knew she'd thought it but she didn't think she'd said it, "but you were really good on that last Sahara mission. Thanks for jumping in and helping out with the rescue."
