Odd and Fermata hit the ground about two feet apart, both groaning from the pain of the sudden, unexpected attack and immediately began scrambling for the next room, hoping for some kind of salvation from another such blindside.

Fermata. frustrated with Goodra's antics by now, shot it in the stomach with an Energy Ball. The Dragon didn't even flinch at it, brushing it off and returning the attack in kind with a Body Slam, hurling itself into the air with a downward slam of it's tail. The attempted belly flop wouldn't result in any actual damage since it missed, barely. But it did leave it open to a counterattack from a Leaf Blade.

It was a bit slow to hit, primarily due to the goop slowing Fermata's movements but he managed, swinging a glowing green blade at the Dragon. It didn't knock it out but it did cause it to roll over and get back up. Goodra didn't react, though. Fermata decided to follow the attack with another one he'd figured out. Instead of using the Grass-type moves he was depending on, he flew up toward the Dragon's face and began to scratch violently with his talon's coated in Ghostly energy. The Shadow Claw did far more damage than Leaf Blade had and actually surprised Goodra, breaking it's concentration and successfully knocking it out before it could complete it's Bide attack.

Both heaving a sigh of relief, Odd and Fermata, believing themselves free from it, were caught off guard a second time as Golurk stormed into the room, throwing a tantrum. In all it's stomping and thrashing, it knocked them out of the room and down the hall once more.

As Odd opened the door, a bright flash of light erupted from the other side, blinding him momentarily and leaving Fermata stumbling around, utterly confused. "Ya...I'm just gonna haul you around until that wears off...." He told the owl as he picked him up. "Oof! You weigh a lot more than you used to!" The channeler grunted, surprised by how much more Fermata weighed as a Dartrix than he had as a Rowlet.

As he started to head through the door, guess who should make an appearance other than Golurk once again. This, time, however, Odd was expecting it and managed to brace for it, tanking the hit fairly well when the behemoth appeared and lashed out with it's Earth Power. It still hurt quite a bit, though.

When he got back up, he found the Silver Key he'd purchased before sitting at his feet. Picking it up and rushing off, he found himself before a door unlike any other he'd seen so far. The difference? This on had a keyhole. When he tried to open it, it proved to be locked. Using the key in his hand, he found that it worked to unlock the door. Stepping through, he found himself in the shop once again.

Upon entering the next chamber, at last, Odd found himself standing atop a high pillar, far up off the ground. "This looks bad....." He groaned, trying to hold onto Fermata, the owl's confused struggling making it difficult to do so.

"Saaaaaal!" And that's where the intimidating presence was coming from. Even in his confused stupor, Fermata knew to be wary of this threat.

Salamence finally launched itself into the air, slicing through the air toward Fermata with a roar, fire licking at it's fangs. "Salaaaaa!"

"Dart!" Fermata flew up into the air and filled his claws with ghostly energy. He'd learned from Goodra that his Grass-type moves weren't going to do much good. Slashing at the Dragon with Shadow Claw, he was hit and slammed to the ground by Salamence's Double-Edge, the dragon-type taking very little damage from it. Turning back on the owl, it spit flames at the bird via Flamethrower.

"Fermata, Pluck!" Odd called. The owl didn't like that idea very much, thinking it would get him way to close to Salamence for comfort but what else could he do right now? His only ranges moves were Grass-type. So he went with it and swooped around the roaring flames, drawing in close and jabbing his beak into the base of one of Salamance's wings. That seemed to do something and the dragon roared in pain, landing for a moment to examine the damage. As soon as it did, Fermata shot an Energy Ball into the Dragon's rear to get it's attention, succeeding as the irritated beast turned it's attention back to him.

"Trick!" The Dartrix exclaimed, leaping up and slashing at the winged leviathan's face with Shadow Claw. Critical Hit! The Dragon Pokemon roared and recoiled from the slashing talons but it didn't stop the attack. Fermata pressed the advantage while he had it, taking another shot and slashing at the Dragon-type again. Salamence refused to back down, despite the beating it was being handed, surprisingly enough, and let loose a mighty roar, it's voice amplified by it's draconian energy. The Hyper Voice was cut short as Salamence took a deep breath.

"This doesn't look good...." Odd didn't recognize that attack by sight but he'd heard the stories. "I think it's gonna use Draco Meteor. Look out!" Fermata didn't need telling twice but he had a better idea. End the battle here and now! While Salamence stored up the energy it needed, which would only take a few seconds, the Dartrix fired Energy Ball bullets into the beast's face. Behind the veil of smoke they made upon exploding, Fermata rushed in and delivered repeated Leaf Blade and Shadow Claw attacks. He didn't think it was doing anything at first but when Salamence went to release it's attack, it simply spit a small plume of smoke and collapsed.

"Holy crap. You actually managed to beat it without getting hurt any worse?" Odd asked, utterly shocked at this point. He hadn't expected that in the slightest with Salamence having the clear type advantage as well as size and obvious experience. Plus one for Tenacity?

Another room full of doors? Odd shrugged and picked a door, opening it up to see what happened. What did he have to lose at this point? He was already beaten and bruised from that damned Golurk stalking him like crazy and Fermata, the poor guy, was running on empty, he was sure.
