Makidzuki The only thing that bugs me is when people say that anime is actually a brainwashing tool the Japanese use so that we will bomb our own country (US). *snort* That's so great. That's like this one time a guy told me that the reason anime characters had such big eyes was because they're making fun of Americans. I cracked up. And then lectured him for like fifteen minutes on Osamu Tezuka. (Please excuse me if I messed up his name. It seems like I always get it wrong, and it's 9:45 PM. I'm tired.)

Not sure who else may have heard about this but I saw an article today about a Korn fan that got the crap beat out of them in Atlanta during the Family Values Tour concert.
I have heard through a few different sources that Korn fans can be very brutal and rumors that have been making me even more wary about going is that said fandom is going to be jumping the Dir en Grey fans. Going to the concert I'm going to, I'm definately going to be watching my back. I think it's a damn shame we have to be wary about going to concerts because of assholes like that.
Call me paranoid, but with all the stuff I hear on the news about Cleveland I don't want to take my chances. (this goes for any big city really) I'd rather be safe than sorry.

You mean a Diru fan? That's terrible... But I don't ******** care. I'm going to go see Dir en grey anyway. I figure that maybe the guys have enough respect to not hit girls, but if other girls start something... I won't hesitate to defend myself. It's those kind of people I really dislike. Why can't they just tolerate other peoples' musical preferences? -.-;; Personally, I don't care for Korn, but I'm not gonna beat the s**t out of someone just because they like them. Hell, even if it were the other way around and I was there for Korn and not Diru, I wouldn't beat someone up for liking a band I didn't.

The news was a day or two old and I don't think they join the tour until sometime this month But the fact that it happened is disgusting, and the fact that the rumors are going around about our fandom being targeted is just plain stupid People need to grow up Oh, I see. On the last day of school I asked my teacher to play some songs that I brought, so I explained to the class that I was about to play MYV and this is what happened..
Class: -dead quiet-
SingHojoSing: I'm going to play a MYV song =D
random person: -only person in the class talking- eww.... Miyavi sucks.
SinghojoSing: ..... Um... Rude, thank you. >> -plays anyway-
Then.
Amus: Miyavi's a good guitar player though..
SHS: =D!!! -happy to see he's looking on the bright side-
~few hours later~
Amus: -goes up to SHS- Miyavi SUCKS!
SHS: .........Okay, everyone has different opinions.
I don't mind that people have different opinions on artists, but I thought that was really rude when that girl just said outloud "ew, he sucks.." and when Amus when up to me and said MYV sucks hours after I played his music, and then went on talking about "Good" musicians like Orange Range and Asian Kong Fu Generation.
;-; It hurts my feelings too.

I know people like that, it royally infuriates me.
There's this one kid I used to be good friends with but he started being an idiot and now we're fighting. He insists that Diru is "A bunch of stupid crossdressers" and he won't even take the time to listen to me when I say they dropped the VK look --years-- ago, stop judging a band by their looks and grow the f*** up. I don't bash on -his- music choice, he doesn't have the right to say anything about mine.
He insists he's more mature then me.... If acting like a three-year-old is mature, then I guess he is
Stupid people like that agitate me to no end, but sadly this world is full of them and we just have to suck it up and move on.

so, i was at school, playing on my lap top, when a classmate of mine came over to see what i was doing. well, we started talking and my screensaver activated, and it's all pictures of jrockers. he kept asking me who "she" was, and when i explained to him that all the "she's" were actually he's, he gave me this evil look, and then told everyone in the class that i liked crossdressers. well, since i knew trying to correct him would do no good, i just went back to work. and i guess that validated it in everyone's mind that i'm a freak and now no one in the class talks to me. stoopid intolerant people

You're lucky.
I know I'm gonna get it in high school and I dread it with how it was taken in Middle School, but I'm going to decorate my binder and sing and ignore everyone else. We have this International Night thing at the HS where people egt educated abotu different cutures and sometimes people do native dance acts on stage or whatever, i'm hoping to sing a j-rock song this year if i can get it okayed, among about 3 or 4 other languages.

That must have really sucked. People need to grow up, this is bullshit. I mean, music may be my life but I don't see why it should limit us from being treated the same as anyone else.

i get it all the time from my boyfriend, and his friends...but the thing that i hate is when people make fun of the japanese language.....(like my boyfriend will go like this"oogie oogiey yo hie so....") i hate that, cause they just make weird words up that sound close.... mad scream
