¤ Androk Tasiai ¤ Location : The Abyssal Sea Company : Surtr... Feelings : Neutral... ...When my blades fail me...
Androk sighed softly to herself, quickly adjusting her blades back into their proper place before idly brushing blood from herself. Cyclops and ogres always had such thick and nasty blood. "Should be thankful enough over saving his life." she pointed out glaring in the beasts general direction with her signature swords for eyes. And there was the signature little mark of Surtr that she was all too familiar with. Saved his life a bunch in the past and she'd had the unfortunate instance of allowing him to perform the spell on herself to keep his hide safe in a previous skirmish. Always felt so weird to have another being materialize from a specific point on your person.
The display was brutish and to the point. "I'm still convinced you have absolutely no idea what is really here. It seems like we are going off brothel rumor now." she barked as she made her way to some trees to begin snapping and cracking apart for camping supplies. "Had to shut that mouth somehow. Not my fault you enjoy the stuff." she retorted before following in tow with the two, no particular order besides her leaning more towards the rear of the company to ensure he didn't lead them into traps she couldn't escape from.
She had no reply besides a nod when he mentioned camp, her bundle of supplies slung over her shoulder as they continued. Rushing water soon boomed in the distance, her focus shifting around them once more as they drew closer to it. Sure enough an ample place to camp came into view just under the rushing water, the alcove easily accessible and manipulative for them. She threw the bundle down and without a word marched back out into the dense woods, minutes passing before a hellish like squeal cut through the white nose of the area. Then after a few more minutes passed the sound of heavy footfalls and dragging sounded just before Androk slipped through the treeline nearby.
A bloody and deceased boar that rivaled the Cyclops early was mostly on her shoulder, the hind part scrapping behind her before she tossed it a few feet from the camp, blades effortless as she gutted and flayed the creature for its meat. Within an hour she had provisions for a small troop and a large hide she'd fashioned into that similar to a bed rest. Leatherwork was one of her previous working experiences she held onto for such an occasion. She'd leave the cooking to Surtr.

As she doubted him once more Surtr sighed softly. "Would you like to know what I'm here for? I'll tell you if you'd like. This one won't tell a soul anyway so I don't mind letting you in on the prize." Surtr said casting a glance to Androk he didn't care if she knew. She knew most everything else about him might as well ad this on to the rest. Once they reach camp he let out a rather relaxed sigh quite happy to be able to rest for a bit. The crow on his shoulder immediately left flying up to a tree and perching itself happily atop a branch. The satyr looked to the water and back to Surtr, the mage gave a slight nod and off the creature went jumping in to wash the dried blood from it still shivering a bit from the adrenaline of what had occurred earlier. Surtr watched Androk go back into the woods and he chuckled to himself. This elf didn't know how to switch off, something Surtr intended to change... in due time. As the squeal came from the woods the Satyr leapt from the water huddling up against Surtrs back. The mage casually brushed the creature off before shaking his head. "That's our dinner. No need to be scared. Besides you're my map, no harm will come to you so long as you uphold your end." Surtr said watching the satyr sit down and nod to itself seemingly happy to have bodyguards if only for the moment. As Androk came out of the woods Surtr let out a soft chuckle impressed with her haul and at the same time in no way surprised. As she cleaned the meat and prepared it Surtr assembled the proper spit so that it could be cooked. Once Androk had finished prep Surtr chuckled softly reaching into his robes and pulling out some salts and seasonings dusting the pieces of meat thoroughly before lighting a fire and beginning the process of cooking. "Quite a fine husband you'd make...." Surtr said subtly hinting that the current roles of each sex were switched. With Androk doing the hunting and cleaning while Surtr was the one cooking. He figured the jab would make the elf smile but who knew some times. She could be quite the wild card when she wanted to be. After around thirty minutes of cooking all was prepared. Being able to manipulate Fire had it's perks. Surtr could grill meat far more efficiently. The aroma and sizzled of the meat caused the mages stomach to grumble obviously ready to begin eating. "Ready..." He said dulling the fire down so that any who wished could come and grab some food. Surtr ripped off a good piece and tossed it to the Satyr allowing him to eat. Keeping the guide feeling safe and happy was definitely important. He awaited for Androk to begin eating knowing such chivalrous behavior wouldn't get him any points but he would do it nonetheless. He was in a good mood after all and showing Androk respect had never lead him in trouble before.

Androk glanced to Surtr as he seemed to take a small grain of her criticism to heart. She wouldn't admit it outright but she was taking a bit of the frustration out on him for the long journey and turn of events. In any way she didn't think too hard on it since he hadn't told her what it was he really needed from here besides a mage scroll of sorts. Or maybe he had and she'd forgotten? She pushed the thoughts back as she went about her business with the boar. His comment on the husband part caused a small shift in her face, not a smile but something close to a twitch in the direction.
"If you say so." she mumbled before throwing the boar pelt over the wide area, adjusting it a little to better suite the entire parties seating area before setting herself down to clean off her blades slowly. When the food was finished cooking and she noticed a chunk fly to the guide she set her blades aside, lifting herself to her feet and walking over to take her portion. "Smells good." she mentioned, giving Surtr a small nod before making her way back to her spot to sit down, a few silent moments passing before she sunk her teeth into the meal.
Silence but not due to any reason other than to enjoy the meal to its fullest. She never took a meal for granted after all she'd been through in the past. Once they'd enjoyed and finished their meal she brushed her hands across her leggings, giving Surtr an approving nod. "Well done. Rivaled the taverns meat for sure." she commented before giving herself a small look over. Bloodied as usual. She gave a slight huff before once more lifting to her feet, stepping away from the camp and over towards the pool of water the falls naturally created.
It was over that time she removed a few articles of clothes, mostly outer shell that was overly covered in blood, and began to wash them off, making sure to avoid as much blood in the water as she could while also washing her face and hair of the now dried cyclops filth. She'd save a full immerse dip until the other two were sound asleep. Not out of any reason other than wanting to avoid any unwanted eyes. And she didn't want to give Surtr any more ammo in his arsenal of tricks he'd be attempting if he was willing to. They had a goal and for now surface would suffice until the night approached.

A Just War As she replied Surtr smirked softly to himself. It was a very compelling argument and she didn't deny it. Surtr was not going to push it for now. He figured her help was a pretty big boost and he needed it so he would leave her be. As she complimented the food Surtr nodded softly and began eating himself. Then there was a nice long silence. It was the pleasant kind of silence where everyone was enjoying their food and relaxing. Surtr himself scarfed his meal down intending to eat as quickly as possible so he could be prepared for any surprises if they lurked. As she complimented it again Surtr smiled looking to her and dipping his head showing he appreciated the compliment. "That's high praise coming from Androk." Surtr said softly enjoying the praise and happy to take it in. The Satyr had fallen asleep already likely drained from the days events. Surtr did not mind he didn't enjoy baby sitting so he was happy to be free of such worries. As Androk got up and went to the waters edge Surtr sighed before slipping from his coat and removing his pants so that all that remained was his undergarments. He walked past her and into the water not even giving her a glance as he did. He continued to walk until submerged allowing a few moments of silence and peace as the waters cool grasp engulfed and surrounded him. Soon the water surface broke slowly and Surtr rose from it. "You could always join....." Surtr said softly with a smirk and coy tone. He was being sarcastic of course but in case She agreed Surtr was ready. "Assuming you say no if you'd like privacy all you have to do is ask me to not look.... The only time I want to look upon you is when you want me to." Surtr said with a smile having a moment of genuine intentions. A moment of weakness perhaps, whatever it was this was certainly unlike Surtr and would in all likelihood catch Androk off guard.

Androk shrugged her shoulders a little at the mention of the high praise coming from her. She didn't see that much stock in it other than a simple observation to his cooking skills. As she was finishing up her washing the half dressed Surtr walked past her, her gaze locked forward as a flat line for her lips once more dawned her face, seemingly giving her usual facial reaction to the entire event.
"I suppose you are correct in that thought. Did you check for Sirens in wait below." she blurted out as she remained still, eyes glancing about and over to the now sleeping saytr before letting a sigh escape. Without a word she did the same as he had, her skin tight undersuit making a small ruffle to reveal her own undergarments, stepping into the water without much of a reaction or response to him. "While I'd like to believe that, you could still see through the eyes of your friend. Who is, currently about the treeline." she stated before she went about washing the majority of her attire.
Her scar riddled body was easy to see now, the suit she dawned now evidently more than just something to she wore for battle intent. Although that was a major reason it did well for her appearance, dragon teeth, claw slashes, blade stabs and what appeared to be multiple damaged flesh from what one could guess was spell focused. She rung her hair out, no real reason for speech as she continued, washing herself clean from the Cyclops and boar blood. "So what can we expect in that cave." she asked between dips into the water, hair resting nicely as the evening began to set in. She didn't leave much in terms of conversation apart from the goal.

"I did not check. I am not worried about them here. The water is so shallow I could evaporate it all. It's on the way out that has me worried..." Surtr mentioned with reference to the ocean. There would be no way for him to get rid of that and if they got him down deep enough he would certainly die. As she entered the water Surtrs eyes watched her intently taking in her physique. "Why are you so beautiful?" He asked his words for a moment not laced with playful teasing or anything. He was serious. Though within seconds that shifted as he moved by her so he could lay in the water against the waters edge. As she made the comment about the crow Surtr rose standing now so that his waist up was out of the water. He took steps toward her his face now serious. He didn't stop until he was only a few inches from her his gaze was harsh and strong uncharacteristic as it looked her dead in the eyes. "If anyone would know the resolve of my word it should be you...." Surtr whispered to her obviously a bit insulted by what she had just said. It was obvious he meant what he said earlier and by her suggesting such a sneaky thing it had put him off. "Likely a demon.... a very powerful female demon who is extremely good at killing men.... Like me" Surtr said taking a few steps back through the water giving her space back. "I could make the water hot if you'd like to soak. I'll be getting out soon so it'll be all yours...." Surtr said letting out a soft sigh before dunking himself under the water for a few more moments. The water near him would bubble while he was under it boiling a bit for a few seconds before returning to normal. Surtr broke the surface afterwards and allowed a deep long sigh to escape his lips. Perhaps a moment of self loathing perhaps just exhaustion.

Androk didn't give a reply to his comment, knowing full well her overall appearance and such when compared to other elves. She paused and shook her head a little. "Because that's how the water compliments the scarring." she finally managed before she heard him shift and move his way over to her, eyes now similar to how she glared when clearly irritated from something. She heard him out and returned his glare with a small one of her own, waiting until he explained what was within the cave. "...Lighten up." she stated with a small handful of water rising to collide with his face before he got too far away.
"You've been putting on that Joker fasacde for that?" she challenged before brushing some more water across her shoulders. "I do know your resolve. I also know your confidence and right now I can tell it's on the lower side. Above all you know my resolve as well. I'll be dead before anything manages to kill you." she stated firmly, her resolve showing now. "...do you remember that battle with the rampaging green dragon? The acidic breath?" she asked as a hand slowly lifted to touch a harsh scar that wrapped across her lower left abdomen. "I couldn't get you to shut up. Left us both bloody and bruised. Yet I couldn't get you to leave my side even back at camp. It's not the first time you'd have seen me bare. Even helped me dress myself the morning after so I wasn't a complete shamble to report." she stated but not with full irritation in her comment. Almost that similar to endearment to an extent.
"You're worried. I can tell. Worried enough to ask me of all to come." she stated before moving to the waters edge to dry off a little. "You're my charge. Death or success. Remember that promise I made you when we first battle alongside each other. Only I'm allowed to kill my closest friends." she reminded him before grabbing her attire, making her way back to the campsite to find her way into her side of the massive pelt like bed, setting her stuff aside to get some rest in her slightly damp under attire.

As she deflected her beauty Surtr chuckled softly. "Say what you wish... I know my truths..." Surtr said with a playful chuckle. As she splashed him he rolled his eyes softly. As she spoke and went on a bit of a rather stirring speech a small smirk grew into a playful grin. Oh how he wished to sour this moment, but he would let it stay sweet. As his oldest friend he couldn't bring himself to ruin such a nice thing. As she got out and dried off Surtr rose out of the water smirking softly before the drops on his body evaporated steaming off into the night air. "How could I ever forget those words..." Surtr said softly moving onto the pelt like bed next to Androk giving her roughly a food of space. Partially because he wished to be closer to her and partially because he didn't want to be too close to the satyr. "The scroll contains my ace.... and this demon is nothing to be trifled with." Surtr said softly laying on his back and looking over to her awaiting to see her response. Surtr was in no clothes now as he lay on the pelt. She had seen him bare as well and the man slept like this no matter what. "So when will you kill me?" Surtr asked tilting his head to her waiting to see what she would say. He wanted to know if she had though it out. It was a rather intriguing notion and thinking of such a thing helped take his mind off of what they had planned for tomorrow.

Androk remained on her side, body facing away from his as she exhaled slightly and closed her eyes. "I do wonder how many aces you need up those sleeves of yours. You've managed to acquire quite a few." she mentioned before his response to her words came out and challenged her, a slight pause to drive home the thought ever more present in the air. "...If I'm ordered to. Or your time comes. Only I'm allowed to play the part of reaper to few." she stated before exhaling slightly. "Just don't die of old age." she stated before shifting slightly in her place.
She didn't have much left to say on the matter, her figure left on its side facing away from him as the night began to slowly close its way in. Demon of the female variant in the cave holding his ace. Surtr always did manage to pick the strange and outright odd tasks if memory served. Still she didn't really have much thought on the ace or what it was until it threatened her king. "I'm still going to deck you if we end up walking into a candlelit room with that saytr suddenly piping in with a smooth melody. I haven't ruled it out just yet." she stated in a more light tones clearly able to tell Surtr was still slightly on edge about the ordeal. Still, sleep would suffice for now as she allowed herself to drift away slowly into the night, body relaxing to prepare for the ordeal they would have to face tomorrow. If he wasn't pulling her leg...

"This should be the last one.... besides if I am ever forced to use it I believe I will be forced to escape to some island like this..." Surtr said with a playful half hearted chuckle. It would be obvious to Androk that despite his attempt he meant what he said. Meaning whatever the scroll contained would be quite dangerous and likely life altering. Despite that the mage allowed a long relaxing sigh to escape his lips. Androk was quite skilled at many things but bed making was certainly up there. His own bed didn't even feel this comfortable. It was amazing how she did that and certainly a contributing factor as to why Surtr requested her to tag along. As she spoke of how she might kill him the mage chuckled and began to laugh softly. "Just an order from your king and I'll be dead? How saddening." Surtr mused playfully keeping his words to himself know she was trying to rest. As she mention a candlelit room Surtr shook his head. There is no way he would do something so mushy for Androk. No when he attempted to court the woman it would be barbaric and rough and coarse. He would appeal to what she liked most. Wine would certainly be involved but there would be no candle lit room and soft music playing. Surtr would become unyielding and strong during that time. He imagined both would leave the encounter bruised and satisfied beyond all imagination. Though his mind pushed those thoughts away not wanting to dwell on such a heated encounter with his current lack of clothing. As Androk went to sleep Surtr just watched her for a bit a very soft smile across his lips. Fighting, she was constantly fighting. Raging against the never ending night and yet now she lay as still and peaceful as a child. Such a stark difference brought happiness to Surtr for some odd reason. As he was about to fall asleep a sly idea came to mind. He couldn't help himself, he was a harmless trickster and knew even if he fought the idea it would eventually win. He laid on his back with his arms up and hand behind his head. His fingers began to weave through the air in fluid yet defined motions. After a few seconds his index fingers touched and Androk would suddenly shift so that she was faced the other way and half draped atop Surtr as if naturally doing so. He had bent the space around her to get her here so she would feel not shift in movement or anything. He breathed softly as her head lay atop his chest her white hair spread and falling over next to him. Surtrs smirk grew into a wide grin as he knew what would likely await him when she awoke. Though the comforting warmth of her body made it so that he would not be able to stay awake to see the prestige of his little magic trick. He drifted off into a most peaceful slumber Androks warmth brushing away any worries that nipped at his consciousness.

Androk didn't put much stock into the way he phrased his last words toward her. Exile to an exotic island teaming with things to hunt wouldn't be so bad. She exhaled slowly and let herself slightly curl up before the evening took her. Darkness. Memories of the past and flashes of battles littered her mind, a small smirk slowly playing over her resting face. Violence was in a sense her center when it all came down to it. However she wouldn't openly admit to it.
But the night moved on and she shifted unknowingly in her sleep, her figure now finding a new place to rest. His little gesture might have seemed like a fun little prank but he'd be in for a different outcome than predicted. The night passed and morning began to arrive, the sound of birds slowly breaking through the constant lapping of the waterfall started to stir Androk. Unbeknownst to Surtr Androk had a very bad habit when she slept soundly. Drool. By now she's shifted a little more as some of her own hair flipped into her face, the mixture of damp hair and a trail of her saliva starting at his upper shoulder.
She inhaled deeply before sputtering slightly, snapping back to reality with a gasp and lazy blinking of her eyes. She brushed her face against the surface beneath her to rid the spit from her face, a sudden warm and pulsing sensation beneath her lips. Surtr. She was half asleep but still assumed. And sure enough she was right. She felt a vein pop as her form tensed up, her left arm slowly adjusting to snatch a chunk of bone leftover from the meal. He enjoyed games. Fine. She slowly began to work her way back into place again, inching more so onto his chest with her right arm raising the bone.
"..Surtr...Suuuuurtr...time to get up you lecherous little crow." she whispered before the rage in her eyes began ablaze, the bone sinking firmly into the ground beside his face as she glared down towards him. "We've got a little demon to find. Remember?" she asked before moving off him and over to her things, quickly throwing her attire on in a bustled manner while mumbling ti herself.

Surtr did not stir as she adjusted herself into proper place to tag him back for the prank he had played. She was a skill hunter, and despite Surtr being a light sleep her skills would win out. As she inched onto his chest she'd here a softly moan of happiness escape his lips. Very subtle but unmistakable. A soft voice pulled him from the darkness, bringing his mind from the deep slumber in ever such a soothing manner. "mmmmmm..." He let out as his eyes began to open and focus in. As he saw a jagged bone plunge downward by him Surtr did not flinch of move but his eyes did widen, about as good of a reaction as she'd get. It dug into the ground next to him and Surtr let out a chuckle before a confused look. ".... Wait? .... were you.... I thought you said no cuddling..." He teased before rising the most playful of smirks across his face. He played it off perfectly as to be expected from a trickster who was several thousand years old. As he felt something wet on his left shoulder and looked down Surtrs smirk grew into a monstrous smile. Like a kid on christmas, if such a thing existed. "Wow Androk.... Didn't know I got you so wet...." Surtr teased even more his body tensing up as he got dressed fully expecting for her to throw him into the pond after the last comment. He got dressed still on guard knowing she could retaliate at any moment. "The demon isn't so little.... you'll see soon enough." Surtr said as he finished getting dressed and prepared to wake the satyr.

Androk felt a nerve twitch on her forehead at his comment regarding her drool, her hand firmly grabbing one of her blades to cause the familiar 'shink' noise to escape, her blades half drawn as she inhaled and exhaled slowly. Now she had steam built up and a desire to rid herself of it. Good. This target of theirs better be ready for a hell of a time. She grumbled and set her blades aside, dressing fully and more fitted as she moved from her place and fixed her blades onto their usual place aside her hips. "Careful or you'll be swimming back to your kingdom." she finally managed as she brushed her face off with some water from the nearby fall.
With a sigh she turned back to Surtr, hands crossed and her Neutral face once more adorned as she impatiently let her foot tap along the floor of their camp, the gentle thud giving a light echo. "Least he had the right mind to remain with us." she pointed out before pushing the makeshift bed a little with her heel to roll it almost into a mat like bundle. She'd be returning for it later as she was a collector of fine pelts from her kills. The boar did keep itself well groomed after all. "How much further till the cave." she said looking about the area. Couldn't be much further right? Unless the demon within would detect them. Course by now they likely did if they had an ear about them.

As she threatened him Surtr simply nodded in reply stifling any chuckle. He didn't bother washing the drool off, the mage care little for something like that and instead just rose looking around. As Androk commented on Satyr Surtr chuckled softly giving the creature a few morsels of the boar that had remained. "He isn't going anywhere. He knows I'd find him, and secondly I imagine he hopes we kill the creature. It's been tormenting this place for almost a thousand years..." Surtr said as the satyr turned its head giving him a confused look. Obviously surprised that Surtr knew such information. The trio then set off on the way walking through the dense forest. The farther they walked the quieter it became. The life that was teeming around them had disappeared in a mile of so inward from their camp. Surtr smirked softy at this knowing it meant they would be close. After about thirty more minutes of travel the sun just barely breaking through the trees they would begin to see a sudden shift in the ground. Leaves and grass no longer lay atop the dirt, instead bone began to appear. The group would walk softly and quietly as they approached stepping between rib cages and skulls so that the prey that lay within would not be alerted to their presence. Upon reaching the mouth of the cave the satyr began to sweat, beads of it pouring out the creature obviously scared out of its wits. Surtr looked to the thing and patted it should before shifting his head up signaling it could leave. The satyr nodded before running away the mark leaving it's body as it broke contact with Surtr. He motioned for Androk to move to the side of the cave so he could divulge strategy with her before entering. "So you joked about brothel rumors and so on... Which was true but, I have been here before..." Surtr whispered softly to Androk his eyes serious conveying that this was the truth. "I know what's in there..." He said putting obvious emphasis on the word know signifying the Androk that Surtr had gotten to really know this demon before hand. "It was like two thousand years ago or more... anyway the reason I'm here now is it's believed she is trying to resurrect something big and bad that would threaten out kingdoms...." Surtr whispered softly to her glancing about as she spoke. "She does have a spell I want too but I brought you along to make sure she dies.... I could probably get the spell without killing her..." Surtr said. Androk never seemed to care about motives or details but he divulged them to her anyway now to ensure she knew what she was going to hear when the two entered. "She is fast, probably slightly weaker than you, and she uses dark magic coupled with conjuring. So it's likely she'll try to summon something to keep you busy so she can 'play' with me..." Surtr said using air quote around the word play. It was obvious he was slightly embarrassed to have fallen for such an evil creature, though at the time he was such a young mage that it was inevitable. "You can plan strategy if you like, but she has a mind far more depraved than mine. I say we go in together and have a chat that will obviously end in her death." Surtr said softly hoping she would agree. "I'll likely mention the three of us at some point so don't kill me for it..." He said laying out his plan waiting to see if Androk would agree.

Androk sighed again as he mentioned the creature tormenting the island for an extended period of time, already well aware he had more in this whole ordeal than he'd led on to believe. "Well then we'd better take care of it then. I doubt they'll be patient after waiting so long." she claimed before adjusting her attire and continuing behind them. Odd how quiet the place had become after entering a certain zone. Was this part of the forest always so remote? She didn't give much thought as they continued, eyes scanning about for trouble.
The lack of life and abundance of death caught her attention, pausing to lean down and examine a few bones and the grass itself. Then it stopped and bones continued. She pursed her lips a little and let her hands fall to her weapons, gripping the hilts firmly. Death was always a warning sign. This being wanted others to stay out. She shifted beside Surtr and heard him out, eyes rolling at the brothel part before he finally let the information free on the place. "...ok." she said in an almost, 'and?' Fashion. "So kill her. That's the goal. Anything else I should be aware of?" she asked basically gutting the entire conversation for the key points.
Important issues and past problems were meaningless to her on this battle. "Chat her up all you like. End point is we walk out with her head. Goal set and done." she stated as she began to shift her way into the cave once more, waiting for Surtr to catch up and take lead as she focused herself on the task. Rage began to build as she intentionally focused on things before her. The outright desire to end this beings life consuming her mind. Focus on that outcome and make it the reality to attain. That's how she functioned after all.
...death is all I shall wield...
