((rrrround 2 start rolls >u<)) Sailor AltairAltair had let her gaze drift from the destructive foe to Ananke and the rest of her comrades today. It had seemed at first that they had defeated the rampaging creature. However, that was not the case. So then she trained her vision on the revealed core, readied her magic again, and fired it at her target, "Scalpel Shot!" Squire ApteraAptera had also thought that the battle was won, the opponent subdued. However, that was only for a moment before the core was revealed, remaining to be addressed. She was wary about the possible outcomes of making contact with what remained of the creature. Did the glow hint at a searing source of light that could burn or inflict pain one way or another in a similar or actually quite vastly different fashion? She kept her stance with fists raised as she maneuvered herself cautiously. Then, upon deciding on a more careful measure than charging at it again, she picked up one of the crystalline stones that had fallen away from the adversary and flung it forcefully at what was left of threat. Sailor AnankeAnanke watched carefully and once again redirected the stray energy... blade.. things. That had missed their target. "Haha... I don't know how much more energy I've got... hopefully we end this soon because I think I've only got about one more attack in me." Ananke tried to make light of the situation even though it wasn't anything to make jokes about. 6+1=7

Sailor Seiryuu
She had found herself memorized into watching all the different kinds of attacks bombarding the monster. It was an interesting thing to witness. However, when the creature started to crack - pieces of it were falling off, how cool! - and a bright light was glowing, Seiryuu felt a shiver go down her spine. And then the thing that had been the monster wasn't there but... something was.
"Eastern Dragon Petals!" Seiryuu called out, thrusting hear arms forward as a strange wind blew in from an eastern direction carrying some sort of blue flower petal that struck at the core like small little razors.

Sailor CalibanCaliban huffed a bit from tiredness, but glad that the fight seemed to be almost over. He had gone from attacking the front of the creature to the back once it's fur had started to crack. Clearly it was losing this fight. He was glad for his gloves too, because they were protecting his hands, at least a bit, from all of the crystal edges that were starting to form. And after the creature was defeated, he tried to take a breath of relief. But he wouldn't be able to. Something like a core had appeared and that clearly meant this battle wasn't over yet. However, he made the mistake of trying to punch it, rather than kicking it. It didn't hurt as much, but he needed to take care not to damage his hand too badly. Quote: Round 1: 19 + 1 - 17 = 3 Round 2: 11 + 1 - 1 + 5= 11 Round 3: 8 + 1 - 5 = 4 Total = 18 Luckily it seemed that Alphubel had been doing something, as the creature seemed to be losing it's fur at least where he had been attacking it's paws/legs. He got a bit of a confidence boost from that. However, he had to take a few steps back when the creature finally was done. But the fight wasn't over. It seemed that there had been something inside of the creature, and he wondered if this core was the real monster and that the former form had just been something that the core created. After all, anything was possible at this point, he wouldn't be surprised if the core was actually sentient. Sailor Myrrha
Myrrha was surprised when the monster seemingly fell apart after being struck so many times. Was that it then? Was the battle over? Catching her breath Myrrha grimaced as she stepped over a piece of what was once the outer shell of the monster. It seemed though as if something was still floating in air and emitting a pretty powerful force. Stumbling Myrrha came to the conclusion that the thing still yet lived but in another form. Skirting around the glowing stone Myrrha went towards the senshi pair that looked as if they'd been chewed up and spit out already. "What happened here?"
She kept her gaze on the stone as another wave of force pulsed out from it. She kept her body between the stone and the pair as she waited for any reply.
Page IrkallaPerhaps it wasn't surprising that the creature had taken so much physical punishment that it suddenly broke apart revealing that strange glowing stone behind. What was surprising was that the sense of wrongness still pervaded the air around her. Irkalla was certain that the rock she still carried in her hand could be effective if only she could get nearer to the stone without taking a beating. The wave of concussive force that was pulsing outwards was enough that she almost wished to get as close to it as possible and just smash it with her weapon of choice. Her ornament string wouldn't help her here. Making the decision Irkalla sighed as she grit her teeth and moved closer. The page was not sure how close she would get before being forced to retreat but if she could land a solid blow it would be enough. ---- (( Myrrha - 15+1-5 = 11 )) (( Irkalla - 18+1-5 = 14 )) (( Total Damage to monster = 25 ))Meighei Myrrha's trying to shield Aurora and Imagi and question them at the same time

Sailor AltairWhile she kept an arm up as somewhat of a shield between herself and what was left of the opponent being faced, Altair replied to Ananke with a smile and a nod, hopeful that this event takes better and not worse turns from here, "Me, too; if this battle still has a ways to go and I run out of energy for casting my magic then I'll have to resort to offensive alternatives."

"Eat it ya little ----" Skoll saw the jaw crack and shift, fall loose on its face. She grinned wide, eyes bright with her fervor for battle. The tall senshi knew her strength - in and out of henshin - and usually worried about breaking someone beyond repair. She may enjoy combat, and showing said strength to others, but breaking people wasn't her ideal. Noses, arms, maybe a few ribs, sure. Skulls? Spines? Crippling people? Not so much.
Monsters on the other hand? Naw man. She'll go full throttle and send it to dust before it hurt anyone else. Skoll wasn't the only there and the creature took a beating of a combined force. The beast fell in a matter of moments and she pounded her fists together in victory.
Thump. Thump Thump.
Suddenly there was a heavy pulsing, and something floating above the corpse. A violet, glowing object pulsed in the air, and Skoll cracked her knuckles. Round 2, FIGHT!
A few others took their hits first, and Skoll darted back in, slamming a right hook into the core with great effectiveness. No need for magic here; only fists and physical strength.

Andronicus made to jump back, the orb on her mace glowing with channeled magic when a familiar voice broke the sound of combat. Green eyes glanced over at the Dark Mirror senshi and she grinned wide at him. It had been a very long time since she'd seen Loke. Months, at least. Sort of happened when you focused on your life outside of the magical girl world.
At once, she felt a little bit more at home in the fighting, and a little bit safer.
"Fancy seein' you here yourself! Been a while!" she said, darting back in to slam the magically enhanced mace into the core with a resounding THWACK.
[[ Skoll does 15 damage. ]]

Each attack chipped away at the core like the constant erosion of a once proud landmark being scarred by the ravages of time. It seemed it was all too much for what was left of the monster. Each pulse of light and force became weaker and weaker like a heartbeat slowing. With each second, the lavender glow began to fade. Finally, it stopped pulsing at all and, for a brief moment, was still. Then, with the sound of shattering glass, the core cracked and fell to the ground and shattered into what felt like an infinate number of pieces. For those who were watching very, very closely, a tiny lavender light flew from the core into the now night sky as if it were a shooting star burning its last bit of life in one dying breath before disappearing forever. Meighei The core has been shattered! There will be no more combat rounds after this post. However, the event isn't over quite yet. There are quite a bit of shards of the monster's core left. Do you choose to investigate the fallen core? Any character who wishes to pick up a shard of the core will need to roll a 6-sided die (as this will determine what the shard will do for each character in the next post).

What happened here?That was all a very difficult question. Imagi would have had an answer if she wasn't barely conscious. Aura - Sailor Alpha Leporis - didn't have one. At least, not a good one. The senshi of hares stumbled a bit under the combined force of the core's pulse and the weight of her sister's body. Luckily, there was a senshi standing between them now to help. "I don't know." She tried to survey what was occurring with the core right as it began to fade. "I saw a stone..." The girl remembered vaguely as she tried to put the pieces back together, so to speak. "I went to pick it up, but she didn't want me to."Alpha Leporis looked down at the senshi in her arms guiltily. α Sailor Beta Leporis's eyes opened just before the final flare of light from the dying creature flew off into the sky. She knew, somehow, that she should be relieved. The senshi of mochi felt faint, but managed a slight and rare smile when her sister's face came into view. "I think we may be able to figure this out..."Beta Leporis looked wistfully into the distance to the fallen shards of the creature's core. ß

Sailor AnankeAnanke blinked as the creature's core shattered. Letting out a sigh of relief she stood near Altair. "It looks like everyone defeated it." Looking at the pieces that where scattered around. "Mmm... those shards look dangerous."

Sailor AquilaBit by bit, the glowing ball began to chip away under the attacks, just like the monster had. Aquila hefted another rock, preparing to assault it again, but there turned out to be no need. The lights and shockwaves slowed, then stopped, then the stone shattered into tiny pieces. Aquila let the rock in her hand drop to the ground (and winces when she nearly hit her foot with it). She studied the scene for a minute. There were several people around, but aside from the two senshi who were in the building, nobody seemed hurt or anything. Guess they'd all taken care of the monster before it could go too far. There were still chunks of buildings and monster everywhere, though. Including the bits from where the core shattered. Come to think of it, was it really, really dead? Or would it somehow have a way to attack them yet again. She decided to take a closer look at the remains, just to be safe. Like in one of those TV shows where you couldn't be sure someone was really dead until you saw the body. She picked her way over to where the core had been and started poking around. There didn't seem to be much besides rubble and all those tiny shards. With nothing else to example (it's not like you could take a pulse on a pile of rock), she picked up one of the shards to get a closer look. Meighei Any character who wishes to pick up a shard of the core will need to roll a 6-sided die (as this will determine what the shard will do for each character in the next post).

She scanned the surroundings momentarily before she looked toward Ananke again and replied, "Indeed, though I hope they look more dangerous than they really are at this point." Squire Aptera"I wonder where this creature's from," Aptera commented as, like Aquila, she had moved the handful of steps to close the distance that had been between her and the shattered pieces of the core of the now subdued opponent and straightened her posture where she now stood at the spot she had just picked up a shard from.

Page Irkalla
Seeing the monster's destruction with her own eyes Irkalla dropped the rock she had been holding. The page of Cosmos gave a sigh of relief before noting the other fighters in her vicinity. It was strange but this was one of the first times that she had battled in the presence of others. Amongst the group Irkalla was positive that she still sensed an aura of chaos but at the moment the young woman was too preoccupied with the results of the battle. The gaming shop would probably need more than a little TLC to get it back to the standard of what it was before this all started.
Speaking of whatever "this" had been the page knelt to the ground to get a closer look at the shards that still littered the ground. With gloved hands Irkalla gently picked one of the shards up and turned it around in her palm. Just what had this creature been?
