((Okay i just wrote most of this and refreshed the page so i'm LIVID))
Hildr was looking down at herself when Sigmund agreed about having a break. She was wearing her usual attire, her armour and cape was the same, but she replaced her armoured boots for knee-high, dark leather boots and her grey body suit was replaced by black. She wondered if it was odd that she mostly wore the same thing unless she was in her dorm for most of the day or in uniform. Back home she was so used to being prepared to having to go out with her family to aide. Here in vale, some people didn't even battle grim with armour and relied completely on their aura. It was something she was almost conscious about. In reply Hildr said "It's hard to believe it's been a month. I've spent a lot of time with my team... yet I still feel there is plenty more bonding left to do." Her tone was a mix of a well-spoken, rehearsed sentence and that of something from her heart. She knew she probably hadn't tried hard enough to get to know her team, or to reveal herself to them, but she didn't like to show off or pry into others.
Conversation moved then Ruby, her Mentor, and Hildr could only chuckle. "I can only say that she is probably correct. Ruby is... an unorthodox tutor, still very effective however. I am sure Weiss has a lot to teach as well." Hildr can remember back to when she was hoping Weiss would be her Mentor. She thought then that the two of them would have something in common. Both being Atlesian, she wondered if they would have similar ways of training, and similarities of life to speak about. Weiss had her family name just as Hildr did, a reputation to uphold. Even if Weiss' story was a little bit rocky, as she's heard from her parents. But that was some time ago. "Oh..." Hildr then said, "I am not sure about the name. Is there many around here?" she asked innocently, apparently unaware of how big Vale must be. Then Sigmund brought up a good subject, and simply bringing up Stella's name caused Hildr to inaudibly think Elliot as he eyes trailed the ground before her. She was still making a decent pace, not too fast or too slow, and her posture, it still felt correct as well. With a chuckle Hildr said "I couldn't imagine that being a problem. Though..." she looked around, catching the academy's surroundings. She knew that Elliot was out today, and knowing that Stella was also out in the town without her team could only confirm what she had thought. Hildr never really asked Elliot about his friendship with Stella, she hated to ask unnecessary questions. But that boy had peaked her curiosity since the day that she had met him. "... I would not want to disturb her." Svalrvænn looked back to Sigmund, tilting her head. Confidently she said "a shot in the dark, if I am honest. My team all... have plans today. I had hoped you might know more about Vale - and Beacon. It would be great to know what to look out for, or what to avoid." She wouldn't be honest, but it was his attention to pronouncing her name when they first met that caught her curiosity. Perhaps it was a sense of understanding she had found from him, or maturity. Even then, she couldn't be sure. She barely knew the guy. But she was trying to branch out. She was a foreigner and had a lot to learn.

Sigmund nodded in agreement regarding his own team mentor. Weiss could be a bit unorthodox herself due to the fact that she held a more noble persona, which was only natural due to who her family was. She could easily be seen as uptight, but also after having gotten to know the woman she held a soft heart as well. It was fun poking at her proper attitude mainly calling her by the woman's first name. It was a pet peeve about him calling her by it, and as such he enjoyed using it. A light playful roll of his eyes happened due to Hildr's particular statement of Stella. "If only it was something that wouldn't be a potential problem. I wouldn't be surprised if she pestered me about what we did, or even make a big deal out of this as some sort of romantic date if she found out. She means well though so I couldn't fault her." He explained before raising an eyebrow at her reasons for asking him out. It wasn't unheard of asking upperclassmen for advice or something like that, but he figured Glynda's son, Elliot, would have showed the foreigners around or something seeing as he should've had knowledge about Vale at the very least.
"Are there particular things you wanted to know about Vale and Beacon? I'm sure the culture is definitely different between here and where you lived, so it can be a culture shock for some people. I guess it helps that I've lived here since I was a kid in the city, and am a second year." Sigmund stated in a light tone to not get serious in a casual meet up with Hildr. It was nice to have someone come to him for help on something. People that new his team generally went to Stella for either tutoring in their studies or combat skills. If anything it helped that she was from Anima and not the city of Vale. The young man had stopped to think about her other question. His head tilted to the side in thought, before turning to look down a bit at the blue eyed girl. "As to your previous question regarding the noodle bar there are a few places out there. One of the known more casual ones is A Simple Wok. My mentor mentioned that Blake liked to go there for their noodles. That could be the place your were talking about. There's also more diner styled locations that you can find that have a slight more variety of food then just noodles. Fast food places are around as well. All just depends what kind of food you like to eat, or what you would like to try. Tell me what you'd like to eat or try, and I'll lead you somewhere that serves it." Sigmund mentioned with a small soft smile curious as to what the Atlesian would like to go.
Her choice of clothing was a bit unorthodox for a casual outing. A part of him wondered if it was uncomfortable to wear armor when out and about often. He personally couldn't do it, and tended to wear more casual looking clothing in mission type stuff. It gave a feeling of being able to breathe while staying light and limber, which was a part of how the boy fought. He even knew Carmine had armor she wore, but had casual clothing as well. Hildr was a bit different in the way she dressed and acted, but interesting nonetheless considering it was more than likely due to where she was born and raised. It could easily be do to the fact that they were still new to one another. The girl didn't seem the shy type or quiet though. Tala was a quiet type, so that was out the window. Regardless, it was a good enough chance to get to know a member of ECHO. Elliot still made him a bit uncomfortable for reasons he didn't want to voice out loud, and Carmine was a bit of a spitfire from what he could tell. Unfortunately, he didn't get a chance to know their former member too well, before personal things came up for them. In the end, Stella definitely knew more about ECHO then he did due to her tutoring sessions and whatnot.

((Her hair is pale lilac and her eyes are sky blue. sweatdrop))
Hildr's eyes widened at the thought of Stella getting so involved and possessive. "Well..." she began, "I knew she had a strong personality, but that must be taking the extra step." She couldn't help but chuckle at the idea. Sigmund and herself on a date, she hadn't really stopped to think it could look like that. "I can see how Elliot can get along with her so well-" she stopped for a moment, her pace almost faulting as she corrected herself. "I mean. I guess that is what Elliot must be out doing today?" Hildr asked like Sigmund would know the answer. She looked into his red eyes, waiting for a response that she wanted to see. A confirmation. At the same time she found herself thinking of how sombre his eyes looked at first glance, yet after further study she saw none of the motions conveyed with sombre. Sure, he looked serious, but saddened? She thought he looked happy, in his own kind of way. And she thought she was right... her Semblance wasn't activating. Yet a slight flutter in her heart was still there, that familiar worry whenever she saw anything remotely similar to fear or sorrow. Her semblance made her over study people around her, especially once she had been acquainted.
The subject moved on, and Hildr could easily agree about the culture change. "Vale and Anima are two very different places - even more different than my home. As for food... I would be glad to go a casual place. Atlas is so full of reviewed restaurants. It would be nice to see something different." Hildr did very well at hiding the fact she did not want to walk into Stella and inevitably Elliot. It was mostly out of being humble, that's what she thought anyway. "When we get there, I'd love to know more about the greatest huntsmen in Vale. My Great Grandmother wrote about great fighters in the war, and then the huntsmen that came to follow." Hildr felt that she was quickly becoming used to Sigmunds presence. Now that the pleasantries of meeting up were over, they could get onto the more important topics. She even found herself interested in where Sigmund came from, and if his family was important.

Sigmund couldn't help but laugh at Hildr's observation of Stella. The girl didn't have a strong personality like that of Elliot. It was the first time he heard someone say that about his partner, but he merely shook his head to disagree with the girl. "No, she isn't like that. If anything she just takes great care for people she's close to. She's something like a momma bear if anything. Nice and sweet but hurt her friends or family get ready to face her wrath." The boy explained not wanting Stella to be seen in a bad light, although it was a funny thought to think of the girl having a brash personality. Rainer was closer to being like that, but he was just very eccentric. The lilac haired girl's question threw him off a bit. He wasn't sure why she asked that question or why it even mattered if it was true or not. It made him curious, but he merely shrugged for the time being."I honestly don't know. I guess it's possible, but I didn't care to ask what her plans where. I do my best to not let her nosiness rub off on me."It was a playful jab to his partner which was obvious due to his tone, and playful smirk upon his lips. He respected Stella's privacy, and would only intervene with something if it was harmful to the girl in some way. It felt like Hildr was looking for an answer concerning the two for some reason, which was suspicious in his mind. He didn't pursue his curiosity at the moment though.
"A casual place? Hmmmm, well there's a diner I know of and then there's A Simple Wok if you want ramen or other kind of noodle based dishes. You're the new one in Vale, so I'll leave the decision up to you."Sigmund offered letting the younger girl have her choice. He was perfectly fine with either one, so what better decision then to leave it to the lady. When Hildr brought up history, the boy wasn't too surprised. Hildr struck him as someone that would want to learn about a place, it's culture, and history. "Sure, I can do my best to help with that, but usually Stella is better for that kinda stuff. I do alright in history, but that girl knows more than I do. Just don't expect me to have all the answers, and you won't be disappointed though."The young man waited for Hildr's response to where she'd like to eat, and then they'd be off. While he was waiting though, he was still looking at her but was also discretely studying the girl. A small part of him was thinking there was more than what she mentioned for asking him to meet up with her. There were slight signs, but he couldn't be sure. Maybe regarding her only male teammate? Or something concerning her team? It didn't help he only had tiny straws to grasp at, so he'd leave it for the time being.

"I think..." Hildr paused to think for a moment, pondering the places she could choose from. She put her curled index finger to her lips and she hummed. Once she had her answer she confidently said "let's go to the diner. It sounds like a better place for the questions I want to ask." Hildr finished with a smile and continued her walking, looking through her lilac bangs as she did. Sigmund was probably right about Stella, after all, he knew who better. Hildr had only met her the once and seen her around the academy on the odd occasion. Barely enough to know her at all. With a nod she replied with a soft "right" before looking over her shoulder at him. "I'm sure any answers you have will be more than enough to sate my interests for now"
As the two of them neared the end of the avenue, Hildr stopped and paused to look around at the view for a moment. She then turned to her side and tilted her head, with her arms still behind her back as she said "I guess... you'll be leading the way from here."

Ivory felt the silence the further she distanced herself from the noise of the city. From the port, Beacon was a towering location but it was no different than Heaven Academy in some respects. Haven was subtle compared to this school's design yet she could sense there was something about this place. The mountains beyond sounded like a good place to train should the head master allow but that seemed to extend to second or third year student most likely.
Adjusting the bag over her left shoulder, the Faunus started towards the building. It was strange to not see the calming layout of her former school. It was more an castle than academy, but it was the place she volunteered to go to. Some of the students, no doubt, were returning for the year; others were likely first years here.
She hoped she was able to speak to the head master about her team or, better yet, meet them in person. He mentioned in her acceptance letter they were different. None of it made sense but she got the feeling he knew more than he was letting on. She would not put it past him from what she could take away from the letter.
The twins were out in the courtyard, both in identical skinny jeans and chest wraps without shirts. All that differentiated them were the mock weapons they used and their shoes. One had what seemed normal swords while the other had swords with what appeared to be sickles at the pommels, both weapons were made of wood. The one with the regular-looking weapons wore scuffed tactical boots while the other wore wide-base wedged tennis shoes. They were sparring, every so often, a ball of light encasing the one with the unusual weapons which then burst and sent the other reeling back, only for her to charge back in. Despite their small statures and otherwise feminine appearances, they had more muscle definition than one would think. At least it was lean.

The sound of clashing weapons rang out over the quiet conversations around her. Some of the students hesitated, but most paid no mind to it tracing the disturbance east. To anyone else, she looked lost as was evident with a few snicker from what she could assume were third year students. The less honorable ones, anyhow.
She found two faunus sparring with weapons made of wood. Slightly stepping out of the shadows, she watched the two girls clash. At first glance, both wielded swords but one of them carried a scythe on closer inspection. There were not many opponents who carried that ancient weapon design these days. Next to the bow and arrow, it was one of the most destructive inventions that was created in the right hands. She also realized she needed to build muscle to survive here.
Haven was different. There were classmates who used pure muscle but there was enough cover surrounding the school training grounds should the situation demand it. Here she had to face them head on, something she had no problem with.
Amber normally didn't care when people stared, but, she sensed someone she'd never met before. While not that alarming due to her relatively recent arrival and her semi-reclusive nature, something seemed to tug at her. Mid-swing, she stopped and looked around. At the exact same moment, Sienna did as well. To an outsider, it'd likely seem pretty odd, as though they were looking at one and a reflection of them as they moved in unison. Sienna was the first to spot the girl and cocked her head. Amber followed her gaze without prompt.
"Amber, do you think that's...""The girl we were... ""Messaged about, yes.""I guess so, looks a little different from the picture." Sienna flashed a friendly smile and waved to the girl as they both made for their bags. "You're Ivory Winona right? I'm Sienna..." "Amber.""We're part of your new team. We haven't met our fourth yet. We've lost a couple people sadly, they had to drop out for personal reasons.""In fact, one of them was named Ivory too. Bit weird. She only spoke in...""Verse.""Yeah, reciting lines that were apparently from some books she read. Never heard of any of them myself but then...""We've live on our own in the Deserts of Vacuo most of our lives. Town destroyed, no family left that we know about. But, we managed to survive for like, ten years before finding our way here."

Ivory expected the weapon strike the strike the girl's twin when she turned her head in direction of her hiding spot. It was odd to see the other girl mirror her sister's movement but she has heard of stories where twins have been able to read each other's movement without needing to speak. Whether it was years of spending time with each other or some kind of familial instinct, it was one she could see on display now. Then again, she never interrupted sparring matches like this.
Good thing neither of them were that distracted, she sighed.
Realizing she was stand near their bags, the girl took a deep breath as they got closer. Most people assumed she would back away from strangers in social situations under stress but that was far from the truth.
Listening to their conversation, she also realized the head master must have warned them ahead of time. It was not unusual, but she never expected to meet them this soon. No one gave her hint to who they would be, what they would look like, but she was fine with that line of thinking.
"You're Ivory Winona, right?" one of the girls greeted. "I'm Sienna..."
The other seemed kind enough. "Amber."
"Yes, the head master at Haven never hinted whether I would be on a team." she smiled gently.
"We're part of your new team," Sienna told her. "We haven't met our fourth yet. We've lost a couple people sadly, they had to drop out for personal reasons."
"In fact, one of them was named Ivory, too. Bit weird." Amber added, "She only spoke in..."
"Verses."
"Yeah, reciting lines that were apparently from some books she read. Never heard of any of them myself but then..."
Ivory felt herself smile widen before settling for silent understanding. Half of the books she brought from home were poems, some were historical literature she brought in her free time and others that her father insisted she keep at least two journals from getting home sick. As a writer, she saw nothing strange with the idea of speaking in verse sometimes. Her home, while it was still standing, was always on the verge of destruction and it made her wonder how her father would fair now that she a continent away.
"Sorry if I interrupted your sparring match," she said.

The twins dug things out of their bags, Sienna donning a pink tank top whereas Amber just threw on a leather jacket and left it open. "Eh, don't worry. It's more endurance training than anything.""We can...erm...sense how the other is moving and about to.""In other words, when sparring, we literally can't hit each other unless one intends it and the other allows it.""It could just be a twin thing...""Or it could be because of our survival experience...""Or both." They replied last in unison. They sat and pulled out bottles of water, inviting her to join them.

Ivory sat in the shade of the tree listening to them. The only person could consider a sibling back home was a fellow faunus who seemed to have knack for getting into trouble with Grimm at first. It was only when her mother took her under her wing did both of them start to seem more at ease in social situations.
"I like to go with both," she said. "DDepending on the area you live in on Mistral, home can easily disappear if you let your guard down. Grimm encounters in my region are more preferable to the kind offered by thieves.."

The twins sat down in the shade. Neither seemed to be sweating much or breathing heavily, but, the pace they'd been going, they should have broken out in a sweat fairly fast. When their new teammate brought up Grimm and Thieves and the disappearance of towns, both twins looked at her. They remained silent a little bit before Amber spoke.
"You don't know the half of it unless you lived through it. Bandits attacked ours first. They killed any male old enough to swing a sword and any female that fought back. I'll...not say what they did to those that remained, but, soon after, Grimm were pulled to the town and killed everyone else. Our parents were accomplished Hunters, but, they were out of practice and our father had quit the lifestyle after an injury. They didn't survive the Bandits. But, they had a hidden compartment under the floorboards and hid us there when the attack started. It's the only reason we managed to escape what happened to everyone else."
"We don't know why the bandits attacked us. It was an all faunus community. We had little of value, and in the desert no less. But, we are all too familiar with the violence of Man and Grimm. We want to be Huntresses. We want to become strong, maybe find another village trying to find it's own place in the world and keep what happened to ours from happening there."

Ivory always feared that for her own village. Most of the locations she found on her way to Atlas were either communities on the verge of being abandoned or long past resettlement if they were overrun with Grimm. Bandits tended to take shelter in those places or set up camp deeper in the woods if those groups felt threatened by local hunters and huntresses. People like her parents were the only individuals standing between that kind of peace and complete destruction, especially the more experienced fighters. She did not expect her new teammates to have faced this kind of loss but that did not surprise somehow.
"When you do, my village is always open to more residence in Mistral." she offered. "Between the Grimm and bandits, we need more people like ourselves around to keep that community around. I live far from Atlas, so faunus should be safe there."
She picked an leaf that landed on one of her antlers before staring at her staff. The deer faunus had no clue how the three of them would defend her home if it came to that but she had a feeling they would get along well enough. However, that did not mean all humans were like those criminals.
"Besides, my mother always believed our kind are capable of contributing something to this world as much as humans." Ivory finished. "The world does need more people like us with what is happening."

The twins listened, though, Amber seemed to be doing so with less interest. Neither had expected to be offered a settlement to defend. As such, they stayed quiet for a bit. "I guess we'll see when we graduate. I think Amber would rather travel place to place.""Well, yeah. But, you want to settle down, find someone to settle down with. Have kids. And my place is with you. We're all that we have. So, I'll probably take up occasional bounties whenever I feel the need to get out. And not all humans are jackasses. Just most. But most faunus are as well."
