"Oh, look at this Shelgon" Dan pointed to a dancing bird in the clearing. It was a bright red bird, bouncing on its talons while swinging its wings around like a dress. Well, at least this one was fairly nice too and it's dance was very passionate. "Let's keep looking around. I want see what else is around here."

Dan and Shelgon continued on, passing by an Exeggcute who seemed to be fast asleep. What the pod dragon would give to do the same.

Diverting from our main story for a moment, let us follow the tale of this Caterpie. Though small and meek, it was a loyal friend to it's kind. Crawling away from the strange human and it's even stranger Pokemon, Caterpie determined to crawl back to it's nest and send a resounding warning to it's brothers and sisters to avoid them at all costs. As it crawled, it released a burst of caterpillar pheremones, intent on drawing said siblings to itself. We'll check back later to see how successful it is in it's quest.
Back with Odd and Entr'Acte, the channeler was digging at his ear with his index finger. "Jeez....I've been watching too much Pokemon Planet.... I've got the narrator's voice stuck in my head for some reason...." He said to himself before recalling Entr'Acte and moving on to explore the ship further.

Returning to our heroic Caterpie let's see just how successful his mission has been.
"Kaaaans!" Piiiieeeee! "Eeek-gaaaans."
The serpent lay on the ground, a small ball in it's stomach preventing effective slithering. And now we return to the story of Odd because life is cruel.
"Oi, Gods! Get out of my head!" Odd yelped, shaking his head in an effort to remove the narrator from Pokemon Planet's voice from his head. "I'm swearing off TV for the next month..... This isn't funny." He told himself, trying to focus on the exploration he was doing. This wreckage was dangerous if he wasn't paying attention and being careful, after all.

Oh, but how life can surprise us at the most convenient of times! Caterpie may not have met his final fate after all as a Weedle has appeared, heeding it's silent call from before.
"Weed!"
"Kaans?"
"Weed weedle!"
Venemous needles flew from the tiny caterpillar's horn at this point, striking at the serpent's throat. The toxins within were useless but the impact caused the snake to gag, resulting in Caterpie's freedom. Ekans vomited up the little green bug as it released a Gunk Shot at Weedle in anger. Weedle took the attack with pride, defending it's friend. Caterpie grabbed it with a String Shot and, despite it's current state of fatigue and weakness, it tried with all it's might to drag Weedle away from their assailant.
Let's check back again later and see how they're doing.

The pair didn't get far before that same Exeggcute jumped in front of them. Dan had no idea what it wanted, but it didn't seem like it was going to get out of their way. "Fine then. Shelgon, Flamethrower" he instructed. From only one attack, the group of eggs were down. It didn't even try to move out of the way. Well that...it didn't really seem to count as a battle. "Uh... well, let's go then."

Moving on, the two would next come to meet a Grubbin. It popped out of the ground in front of them, looking around for something. "Oh. What kind of off breed Trapinch are you? Oh wait! Maybe it evolves into a dragon too!" But before they could engage, the tiny bug burrowed back into the ground out of sight. "Damn! We should keep an eye out for that one."

Odd was still trying to get the sound of Pokemon Planet's narrator's voice out of his head when he found himself face to face with something straight out of his nightmares. "Um....Hello, little wild Pikachu...." He said to it as he backed away from it. "You're...uh....looking a little ragged, huh?" He asked, taking a closer look at it as it followed him into a better lit part of the ship.
"That is most certainly not a Pikachu! Are you as blind as you are dead?" GRAY's voice quipped from Odd's SNAG.
"It's not?" Odd questioned, though it hit him a moment later. This thing felt like almost every other Ghost-type he'd ever encountered. It was most definitely not a living Pikachu, at least. "Ok....I believe you now!" He responded to GRAY. "So what is it?!"
"All I can give you is a name, I'm afraid. It seems to be called 'Mimikyu'." GRAY responded, though he seemed more irritated by his own lack of information on this creature than he was with Odd's.
"Mimikyu, huh?" Odd repeated, making sure he'd heard it right. "Is it, like, a zombie or something?"
"Hardly. I can confirm it's a Ghost-type, like those abominations you're so fond of but little else for now. Perhaps you should prove yourself useful and capture it so I can study it?" GRAY responded with more curiosity in his voice than sass, as was normal for him.
"You're being surprisingly polite here....." Odd noted as he released Entr'Acte once again.
"How about you cease the pointless commentary and get busy filling that Pokedex if you're a trainer?" GRAY retorted once more. There was the sass.
"You got it." Odd replied, noticing, by now that Mimikyu had been patiently waiting for him to stop talking to GRAY, simply staring into the depths of his soul with those badly pencil'd in eyes. "Entr'Acte. Shadow Claw. " The blade reacted by swinging itself at Mimkyu, body infused with Ghost energy.
Mikyu's expression never changed as a Shadow Claw of it's own emerged from beneath it's body, as if the Pikachu it wore was little more than a disguise. However, it proceeded to "high five" Entr'Acte with that claw, stopping the blade mid attack. "Mimeee?" It questioned, somewhat confused at the assault.
"Bah. Night Slash!" This time, Entr'Acte drew back and with a quick movement of his scabbard, he distracted Mimkyu to strike with a darkness-infused slash. Which snapped it's neck.
"OHMYGODS!" Odd screamed, horrified by the resultant attack. He never aimed to hurt living creatures, Ghost-type or not. That was not part of the agreement!
"Kiiiilyu?" Mimikyu responded, it's chest flashing for a second as it Mimic'd the attack used against it. It's head flailing behind it like some macabre mace, it ran forward wih shadowy, skeletal arms slowly emerging from beneath it's body, clawed hands slashing at Entr'Acte.
"It's.....still alive?" Odd asked, shocked by this turn of events. "And it's still battling? That can't be good for it!" He decided, grabbing a Safari Ball and throwing it at the Pokemon. He planned to take it to Doc Owl and get it treated immediately, then return it here, most likely.

When Mimkyu emerged from the Safari Ball, it wasn't in the best of moods. It's neck was broken and it was now upset. All it had wanted was a little attention and, instead, it was being attacked for no reason. Unfamiliar with the Pokemon floating before it, it wasn't aware it's next attack wasn't going to be very effective. It was time to Play Rough with this mean thing. Grabbing onto Entr'Acte with shadowy arms, Mimikyu dragged the blade into a cartoon you fight cloud, solid onomotopeias erupting from it periodically.
"Entr'Acte, use Shadow Claw!" Odd called out over the sound of the fight. The ghostly attack did just as Odd had hoped and drove the two Pokemon apart far enough to take aim and throw another Safari Ball at Mimikyu. "Stay in there!" Odd exclaimed as Mimikyu disappeared into the ball. "You need medical attention."

I found my way into the main area of the safari zone. There were lush trees and bushes abound in the place. It was my first foray into such a thing...usually I don't go for them. Hell, I already had plenty enough on my plate as is. On the flip side, I got three Pokemon that are due for needed training, and if all else fails with them, I got a Scizor that can just simply false swipe something and be done with it.
A loud screech was heard, nearly made me jump. "The hell...?" I spoke up. Up in a nearby tree, a large white...monkey of some kind. "...the hell are you?" It wasn't anything that I've ever seen before, prompting me to pull out my SNAG to find whatever the hell it was. "...Passimian?" I asked. It...was interesting enough, I guess. But, really? Between Mankeys, Primates, Slakings, and other brutes of that sort, I...kinda wasn't interested. Not to mention, I had no idea what that thing was capable of or if that thing was alone, which if it's anything like its other brethren, more than likely not and not a place I want to try to establish dominance in. Yeeeaahh...stepping...away...from this.

When Mimikyu burst from the second Safari Ball, it's body glowing with a pinkish light as Entr'Acte's took on a blue glow. The two Pokemon's bodies soon began to change color, to a dull purple. "Pain Split....." Odd recognized that move. Even if it did recover some of it's stamina, it wasn't going to be continuing to battle if he could help it. Taking out a Dusk Ball from his pocket, he figured it might be dark enough in this place to trigger the ball's special effect. "In you go!" He cried as he hurled the ball with pinpoint accuracy, striking the strange Ghost-type in the "chest" with it. The shadowy light that erupted out to consume the Pokemon signaled to him that he was right. Now he just had to hope it would still be weak enough for the Dusk Ball to succeed where the Safari Balls had failed.

As I continued on, deeper into the forest, and making sure I wasn't followed by that Passimian, I started to realize that my Pokedex function was expanded recently with new entries. "...crap, and no one told me? What the hell?" I said to myself. "Bah...I'm still trying to get Kalosian Pokemon down, freakin' hell." I then took notice to my surroundings, noticing a few berry trees about...though funny part about that...these berries were much bigger than the norm. "...is that normal? Hell, Watmels are not even usually that big."
As I started to examine the berries closer, I then notice in one pile that was built up on the ground that it started to move. I stepped back, readying a Pokeball. Out from the pile, came a purple crab of some kind. "...the ocean is back that way...and who the hell smacked the hell out of you, is your eye swollen?" I said, looking back down at the Pokedex. "Crabrawler...oh. You always look like that. Uh...sorry?" I said, backing away. The brawler, however, wasn't feeling forgiving. The thing surely couldn't take on Scizor, I thought, but the three I brought here for training? Yea...no. "Bye." I said, dashing off with Agility.

As soon as Sub had shut the door and turned to walk away a loud thud could be heard causing both trainer and Pokemon to turn around to see a hole punched in the door and a black ghostly hand creeping out of it.
"Mimikyu!" Cried the Pikachu impersonator as it peaked its fake head out of the hole it made in the door.
"I'm out!" Sub shouted as he snatched up Scraggy and high tailed it out of there. Screw this.

To Amaranth's dismay, she wouldn't get terribly long to figure out where she was. A Pikipek would suddenly poke its head out of a tree, startled by the sudden appearance the woman had made earlier. It was cautious as it watched her look around, rearing back as she finally began walking. Concerned that its territory was at risk, it spat a volley of seeds to make Amaranth second guess her actions.
Shielding her face and moving to the side, she did her best to avoid the volley. This wound up quickly to using one arm to do that while another fished in a pocket to eventually get a ball out. "Sorry for this..." She said to herself as she tossed the ball, letting out the shadowfied Pidgey that was inside. "Shadow Rush!" The poor Pikipek would panic after feeling something incredibly off, only to get tackled out of the tree by an attack that didn't set well one bit.
Her Pidgey would remain in the air and ready to attack again, though Pikipek was left trying to figure out what the hell just happened. Grass rustled as it get back up and flapped its wings, looking up and chirping angrily before it retaliated with a harsh Drill Peck. Blindsided by the attack, Pidgey would be the next to wind up on the ground. Though she tried to whip up a Gust to keep Pikipek at bay, it'd end up taking a Peck instead. Its sharp beak was proving to be useful in fighting the winds, at least.
Before Amaranth could try and suggest a different approach, though, Pidgey decided to do what she knew best: attacking until she or the opponent couldn't anymore. Another Shadow Rush was executed before it could be stopped, slamming into Pikipek yet again. Already fearing the worst, she decided not to chance things any further and threw one of the Ultra Balls she had on hand, hoping to hit Pikipek with it before it hit the ground from the earlier attack.
"Maybe I shouldn't have used her..." She said to herself, watching the ball fly through the air.

Luck would seen to shine for Amaranth as the ball made a sharp whine as it was thrown, hitting and catching Pikipek without any trouble at all. The ball would soon disappear, being sent for later judging. For now, though, she thought it best to recall Pidgey for now and start looking around the forest proper.
