Well, so long as he didn’t say no, she was walking in the same direction anyway. Whether he liked it or not, unless he had someone else to visit with and a reason to linger, she was going to be walking beside him. It was a brief walk, but Sylvia appreciated that Zebulon’s learned slower gait. He wasn’t the tallest man she’d tried to keep up with, and she’d practiced a speedy walk to keep up with people that at least didn’t make her look like she was scurrying, even if she felt like it sometimes. Still, it was nice to not feel like she had to speed to keep up.

Sylvia accepted the handshake with a bright smile. “Nice to officially meet you as well. I certainly hope we’ll be seeing each other.” She tilted her head and regarded him with somewhat of a twinkle in her eye for a moment. “Pass on my well-wishes and a ‘hello’ to Diryas for me.” And with that, she pushed open the door and headed back in the direction of her dorm.
