1-20 You found a recipe, but you diverged so much from the science of baking that your dessert didn't even resemble what you were trying to make. Good thing this isn't for grades ...
21-30 You had a mishap with the beaters, putting the setting up too high and the contents of your bowl were sent flying. Luckily there are enough ingredients left over to start again.
31-40 You burned the bottom of your dessert. Somehow. Some ... way ... you can eat around it, though!
40-50 You accidentally set your oven to the broil setting by mistake! Eek! The top looks golden brown, sure, but the inside is so underdone it's a little embarrassing ...
51-60 Your dessert came out perfectly!
61-70 The creative twist you decided to do didn't pan out ... so you try again with a different approach and it comes out beautifully!
71-80 You used a little too much sugar in your dessert, so it's a little bit too sweet ... but it's not inedible!
81-90 Meh. It's alright. Could be better.
91+ Absolutely amazing! You went above and beyond and really let your freak flag fly! Have you considered baking on a professional level?
Laurel was super excited for the class today, and she knew just the thing she wanted to make; she'd seen a video the other day when she was looking on the computer for different kinds of desserts. It had been so elegant yet so simple, and she couldn't wait to make it. She quickly found the video again, wrote down all the instructions, then gathered her ingredients and started to make the dessert.
-Some time later-
Laurel looked at her creation, feeling proud of her first effort. Usually she had to make something a couple times to work out all the best techniques and find out all the problems a particular dish could present, so first time creations were usually sloppy. She felt she almost had the look perfect, but as she sampled her creation she thought perhaps she'd been a bit of a heavier hand with the sugar in the cream portion of the recipe, and the dusting of powdered sugar she'd added to the fruit for a bit of pretty was kind of overkill. It was still quite tasty though! Laurel looked forward to making the [dessert] again in the future for others to enjoy!
(( Couldn't find a link to a written recipe, hope the video is okay. ))

Kara knew she wasn't the best at baking, but she couldn't help but want to try. She had made a few dishes when she was at home for her younger siblings and the fact that her best friend was amazing at cooking and baking made her want to see if her own recipes would stand up. She found an old recipe from her grandmother and decided to give it a try.
It had taken her longer than she had thought to make sure everything was as perfect as she could get it. She was covered in flour and knew she needed a good bath when she got done. When the strawberry tarts were finally finished she pulled them out to the rack to cool and tried them. She made a face, they were definitely sweeter than she would have liked, but she supposed it could have been worse. Maybe next time she'd stick more closely to the recipe.

Caron tried to make a Orange Meringue Pie it didn't turn out perfectly, but at least he didn't burn it or something that would have been really lousy. It seemed he had done something wrong with the meringue, maybe he should have picked something easier like cake or cookies.

Eun tried to make a baked chicken dish, it came out ok. Eun wasn't sure if cooking would be his thing. Then again he still didn't know what his thing would be so trying different stuff was a good idea.

Raa winced the moment he bit in to the chocolate portion of his delicious shortbread cookie. Somehow, someway, the chocolate half was super sugary! Where had he gone wrong?
Not a big fan of sweet things, Raa was a little disappointed. That had been the entire reason why he had decided to make matcha shortbreads. They would be a nice treat without being sugary of overwhelming on his pallet. But, somehow, it still ended up becoming some decadent, rich, sugary treat.
Coco was thrilled she made her Cookie dough bowl and they came out perfectly she was surprised and she put little chocolate candies in the middle of each to add a extra little sweet surprise. She was super happy with how the sweet treat turned out and a little surprised. She normally burnt everything she cooked.
Aedus made a Candy cheese cake in baking class. He put candy on the edge of the cheese cake and he put candy in the cheese cake as well. He was rather please that the cheese cake turned out so well. He cut up peices to share with the rest of his class.

Now this was a class Liath knew he could easily sink his teeth into after all he had been baking and cooking his whole life with his family. He pulled out his recipes book that was filled with various recipes he had mastered over the years. Pulling out a fairly easy but delicious one he looked down smiling. "I am going to make Goblin Chewies a type of cookie my mother always made me." Setting on his way he swiftly made the perfect batch of cookies he was eager to share with the class.
This was it. This was Rhys' moment to shine. He had decided he was going to make his famous cinnamon twists. Only, this time, he was going to drizzle a bit of honey on the top ... except that the honey burned in the oven and effectively ruined his dessert. Feeling a bit chuffed and refusing to be docked marks on something so stupid, Rhys attempted his twists again. This time, they came out just right!
Laviticus had decided to make a peppermint cheesecake for his baking class! He knew the mint would be a lovely way to offset the at time richness of the cheesecake. If he was lucky, and his creation was good enough, he would take some home to Galan and Malion for some sampling.
The bottom ... ended up a bit burnt, somehow. Laviticus wasn't sure where or how he went wrong, but ... if he just ... warned the two the bottom was a bit toasty, perhaps they could eat aorund it ... ?

Effie debated for a few minutes on what recipe she should try. She'd always had a fondness for lemon desserts, and white chocolate was always a plus... Oh! Perfect! She found a recipe for lemon white chocolate cheesecake. Oh man that sounded so good! She'd definitely have to try that one. If it turned out any good she'd take it home to the fam and let everyone have a piece. Well. She said fam, but really she meant just the family from her dads which was her, her dads. her three sisters, and two little brothers. A perfect number. Everyone got an even 1/8th of a cheesecake. If it was better than she hoped, she would bake more at home and share with the WHOLE fam which was....gah she didn't even KNOW anymore.
Holy Nine. This cheesecake turned out WAY better than she'd ever expected!! It was amazing!! If she ever opened a bakery, THIS was going to be her specialty.

Yaruka LOVED baking! It was so fun and she loved being able to make things that others could enjoy. She looked through her crystal phone for a recipe she could tweak.....oh, here was an interesting one; Neopolitan Cupcakes! This looked good and she could make this creative VERY easily. The brownie base she added a small amount of white chocolate chips to, so they'd be lightly dotted with white.....the vanilla cake layer she added chunks of fresh strawberries, that was a gimme....and then the strawberry buttercream was a little tricky but she added some semi-sweet mini chocolate chips. These were already sweet on their own so the tartness of the fresh fruit and the slight bitterness in the chocolate chips would help balance those out....hopefully.
When they were done, Yaruka took them out to inspect them carefully. The time in the fridge had set up the frosting nicely, nothing looked burned....now the taste test. She cut one in half to look inside; nothing underdone! This HAD to be a success! Excited for herself, she bit into one half to get a taste of each layer.......oh dear. The frostin was a little grainy and too sweet; did she use too much sugar? The semisweet chips DID somewhat help balance it out but the graininess.....oh well, everything else tasted great! So....9/10?
Jacintha was excited to be baking today, knowing what she wanted to make. Most people would probably want to make a simple baked dish, but she wanted her's to be amazing. How amazing? Well, how about the Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie? Seemed good enough right? However, as she began to start with the recipe she soon found herself struggling to get the batter to what she wanted it to be. Having tried many techniques to get it to be the consistence she wanted, Jacintha decided to start all over and in the process realizing she could maybe embrace the consistence that the recipe was making. By the end of her journey she had made a cookie that she was loving to no end, liking how chewy it was without being too doughy like she usually liked. This cookie was amazing!

Student name: Mai Recipe:Blooming Apples Mai loved cooking. Mostly because she had to do it anyways so it was better to have fun, and everyone loved a good dessert. She remembered that she would always make caramel desserts for Vanna when he would come home from the academy during the breaks. At least before he got mixed up with Feliciano and before Mai realized it would be better if her brother didn't go home. Anyways when they got the assignment to make a reciepe, Mai knew exactly what she wanted. She wanted to do a dessert with caramel. Her twist was adding chocolate and switching out the regular caramel for sea salt. Only problem was some one bumped into her when she was sprinkling with sugar and well it got heavily sugared. Still edible but definitely sweet.

Desdemona was never one to bake or experiment with many creative outlets, but she had a horror film viewing coming up and decided to bake some sugar skull cookies. She regretted the choice immediately when she realised it mostly involved a steady hand and creativity, but at least the recipe was simple. To her shock and delight, they came out perfectly - probably due to her intense focus throughout the entire process. For once she was proud to present what she had done in class to the teacher.
