Seeing that he was surprised by the revelation made her giggle intensify. "I'm sorry, I didn't know you were thinking that. I would have corrected you." Rajani also could have been more specific with her words. After all she had said wash and most people washed without their clothing.
When he moved close to tie her shirt her body wanted to tense but she took a deep breath to calm herself. She had asked him to get close so she knew he wasn't going to hurt her. Besides that there was nothing threatening about Lixes. At least not to her. When he was finished tying her shirt laces she moved to get off Pyre, though she had to be gentle on her one ankle, and followed her friend to the water. The limping made it difficult to keep pace so he was in the water long before she was at the edge.
As Rajani reached the end of solid ground and stared at the water she hesitated. "You're not going to let go of me... right? I mean.. I really can't swim Lixie and deep water scares me." If it went past her knees then it was considered deep. Her grey gaze lifted to look at the blonde with a worried look as she chewed on her lip nervously.

Lixes gave a bit of a shrug, "It was... my mistake?" It made sense in his head that since she wanted to wash up that she was going to... to strip down which was... enough to make his cheeks go a rather bright red. Shaking his head rapidly he said, "Alright, we will get you rinsed then?" Looking back at her he held out a hand, "Alright, step in carefully. The cool water should help your ankle if you soak it a bit... but the whole rinsing off thing first. Oh yeah, don't worry... though it's not too deep." He pointed to the fact that it was only up to mid-shin at the moment on him. It wasn't too deep so he hoped that would help her. It might make it a bit harder to rinse herself off but it wouldn't scare her as much so he hoped it would all balance out for Rajani.

She looked at his hand for a moment before taking it and stepping into the water slowly. The cool water was a bit of a shock to her at first so she tensed up but as she got more and more used to it she moved out farther. Rajani's hold on Lixes' hand was tight and she trembled a little. Not just from the water but from the fact that she was willing to touch yet another person. So that made.. three so far?
"Th-this isn't so bad." Her voice quivered a little. She was still taking it slow and staring at the water like it was going to bite her. The shifter nodded and got closer to Lixes so that she could practically cling to him. "If you let go of me Lixie I will hit you with your own hammer.." And she meant that. Once she was out of the water anyways.

"Not bad? Good." He said before he turned his head, allowing her privacy. Even if she was cleaning up and with getting soaked down, as such she likely would prefer if he would look away. As such he kept his eyes fixed on the water at his feet while holding onto her head tightly enough that she wouldn't escape his grasp but not so much that it would risk hurting her. Giving a smile he said, "I won't let you go... and not just because I don't want to get hit with my own weapon." That part was said with a bit of a laugh. No reason to get himself brained with his weapon after all, how embarrassing would that be for a hero? As he glanced for a moment at her broken up reflection in the water, then away again he said, "Just tap my arm when you're done and I will lead you safely out of the water, Rajani."

There was a nod of her head in answer though he didn't see it. Rajani set to cupping water and bringing it up to rinse off her legs. With her having to favor one foot she leaned back against Lixes, letting her bottom rest against his hip/thigh, so that she could lean down and get rid of any dirt and grime that had been on her. When her legs were done she continued on to her arms and chest. Once she was ready to rinse her hair she reached back and tapped the blonde on the chest. "Grab my waist so I can get my hair wet." If he held onto her hand while she tried to rinse her hair then not much would get done. Her hair was the last thing that needed cleaned so after that was done she could soak her ankle as he had said before having him take her back to dry land.

Lixes stood still as Rajani went about cleaning herself up. It was only when she spoke up that he glanced her way, taking in her request. She wanted him to hold her around the waist now? He gave a humming sound before he finally said, "I... guess I could?" It almost seemed like a trap and a definitely way for him to get into trouble but he would do his best. As a hero he had to brave even the scariest sort of things. After taking in a deep breath he shifted his grip to her waist, one hand at a time so that he wouldn't ever let go of her completely. Once his hands were back in place he glanced awkwardly off to the side and said, "Alright... it should be safe for you to rinse your hair then..." When he recounted his day to his family he might leave this bit out he thought himself, his cheeks coloring again.

There was that hesitation in his voice again. Rajani looked at him with a bit of an odd look. "Relax Lixie it's just so I can get my hair wet. If you hold onto my arm it would just make it awkward for me to move." And she was the one that problems with being touched or touching others.
Still once he had hold of her she turned her attention back to what she was doing. Rajani used both hands to cup water and splash it into her hair. Since she wasn't going to fully wash it she didn't worry too much about the roots but the ends were what needed most of the water. It took her a few minutes but once she managed it she stood up straight and grabbed one of Lixes' hands. "Ok, I'm finished." If he wanted to let her soak her ankle they could stay in the water but she was ready to get back onto dry land.

He nodded his head, "Alright, I will do my best and I won't let you fall in." He said despite trying to look everywhere but at Rajani. This was... awkward. He was glad that nobody was around but the two of them because otherwise they would think the wrong thing and his reputation as a hero would be tarnished! That and her reputation as a damsel would be as well and that would be pretty terrible as well! It was something that the two of them would have to be careful about! As he took his head, telling him that she was finished, he sighed in relief. Transferring his hands to hers he took a step back, "Alright! Good, good! Let's get you back to the safety of the bank and then back onto Pyre's back so that you can rest your ankle. We can carry you home since you're hurt if you like?" It might be a bit of walk but we can do it, we have to see this quest through to the end after all."

Rajani thought nothing about the way the two were interacting. She trusted him as a close friend and as such didn't fear him. There was nothing sexual about her actions, or at least she didn't intend there to be. So while he was worried about someone seeing she was more worried about the water.
When he led her back to the bank she clung to him. To anyone else the water was shallow and easy to walk through, to her it was a scary deep tide pool waiting to take her under. Once she was on dry land Rajani looked up at Lixes. "You know I live in Sol... right?" It would be one heck of a walk for him if he did decide to take her home. So instead she shook her head slightly. "You can help me find a nice place in the forest to rest until I can make it back on my own."

"Oh... yeah... Sol, huh?" Lixes seemed to think on that one for a moment. While he wanted nothing more then to heroically bring her right home to Sol he knew that his fathers wouldn't like the idea, his earthling one especially. They were a bit overprotective of Lixes and his brothers, though it wasn't surprising given that they had lost family in the past. Of course they would want to look after the two of them very closely, to make sure that they were kept safe from the various dangers of the world. After a moment he said, "I... want to accompany you home, it's what a hero should do, but I don't know if I would be able to." It wouldn't go well, that much Lixes knew for certain so maybe it would be best to find her a good place to wait it out? He gave a thoughtful sound before he said, "We will find you a good place to wait it out where that villain can't find you. Hop up on Pyre and we will bring you to a nice, safe spot. I know a few good perches, those I use when I am looking for heroic things to do!" One of those should work well as a place she could rest up without worrying about that kidnapping villain of a man! "We will also get you a good, blunt stick to hold onto just in case. If he tries to get too close you can brain him with it." Lixes added, feeling that while he couldn't give her his hammer that they could find her something to use in place of a real weapon.

She saw his hesitation and knew that he was thinking about getting into trouble if he went too far from home. Rajani didn't have to worry about that now, though she did usually inform Chalcedony of what she was doing. If not verbally then with a note. As Lixes told her that he wouldn't be able to go with her she nodded her head. "Wouldn't want you to get into trouble Lixie. Don't worry, you were more than a hero to me today." Rajani still didn't understand his need to be heroic but she hoped that by telling him how much he helped her already he would feel like he had accomplished his goal.
"I was thinking more like a brier patch on the ground. My ankle won't let me climb much." At least if she were surrounded with a thorny bush then natural predators would stay away. And she could always ma sure to keep low to avoid being seen by anyone if they came too close. "You wouldn't happen to have a knife would you?" She didn't think Chal would be too upset with her for going back to her stabby ways in this one instance.

Lixes gave a humming sound, not sure if he was heroic enough but at least he was able to remain on the 'heroic' side of things, right? He had wanted very badly to hit the villain a few more times then he had or let Rajani do it... it was a cold and uncomfortable feeling that had been too happy to shed. It wasn't something he was familiar with even if he knew that blood was in his veins. Shaking off the thought he said, "So long as you are safe and will soon return to the safety of your home." Was what he was hoping for, because her family could keep her safe from the villain or so he hoped. "Briar patch? I don't know... there are a lot of dangerous creatures in Jauhar. I don't want any of them thinking about eating you... Maybe a place under some roots? You can tuck yourself under them and shouldn't be noticed by beasts or baddies." He said, then set about patting himself down, then looked in the packs that Pyre carried. After a moment of searching he nodded, "A small knife... not the best since it's mostly used for various chores and fiddly tasks... it's sharp though so it would work for a last resort type of weapon." He wasn't sure it was the best way for her to defend herself but better then nothing, right? Best to get her a heavy club as well.

Rajani gave in to his suggestion about roots. "Alright, that should work. As long as I don't have to climb." Her head nodded and she smiled at him. Once he found the knife he had she looked at it then at him. Could she really take it and leave him without a blade? He did have his hammer on him. "Do you mind if I borrow it? I'll give it back next time I see you." And since it seemed like she ran into him a bit she figured she would see him again soon.
"If not then a club should work." Rajani offered a smile as she pushed her wet hair out of her face.

He nodded, "Yeah, you shouldn't have to do anything climbing, you just have to wiggle between some of the larger roots and you will be able to hide yourself completely from whatever might come by." He figured that it would be safer then sitting in a briar patch if only because she might be found in one of those. Within the shadows of the great trees and hidden by the roots she would be all but invisible, something he knew from a few games of hide and seek with his brothers. "You don't have to worry about the knife, you can have it for as long as you think you will need it." The last thing he wanted was for her to give up the knife before she was ready and end up in trouble again! Once they were able to find a good root system of one of the big trees for Rajani to hide in Lixes set about finding a good branch that would work as a club for her. He retrieved it, cut it down to size with his knife, and handed both weapons over to Rajani, "You have to be careful and safe, alright?" He didn't like leaving her here like this but it was her desire to rest before heading home on her own. On top of that he would need to get home as well, before anyone started to worry or something. Some rest was in order for Lixes as well, but it would have to wait until he finally got back.

She relied on Pyre to carry her to where Lixes found a suitable set of roots for her. After that Rajani limped over and inspected it herself before nodding. Wiggling her way in there should be no problem. "That'll work. I can sleep for a little bit as well." She wouldn't have to worry too much about being seen either. When the hybrid went to find her a club to use she moved to shimmy on in. Once she was settled she reached through the roots and took both weapons from her friend. "Thank you Lixie." Rajani scooted back and moved around until she was comfortable.
"I'll be fine Lixes. You should get home so you don't get in trouble." Ever since he had mentioned the possibility that his dads would be upset with him she had begun to worry. Since she saw him as a friend now getting him in trouble was the last thing she wanted to do. "I'll see you again soon, yeah?" There was a nod that could be barely seen through the roots and she settled a little bit more so that she could hide even more in her little shelter.
