Frit FreshlingFrit looked up to the woman and smiled friendly. "Oh no!" Frit said, waving the woman's concerns away. "I think its fine, really. I mean, there are things to learn, see, and study out here that the academy just dosnt have!" Frit exclaimed. "Also, they dont like me bringing slugs into my room... So i have to visit them out here." Frit produced the slug in its small Tupperware container to show off. She turned around to give Vadim the chance to admire the slimy thing in all its glory. Her grin of pride said the rest on her thoughts about her captured specimen.

Honey watched the drinks with a grin, happy for any kind of distraction. Taking a bee-designed mug gratefully, they took a swig before sighing and glancing at Frankie. "Not really what I had in mind," they said sadly, before leaning towards her and whispering conspiratorially, "I don't suppose you have a flask on you?" Honey laughed, since they were... half-joking, in any case.
Honey watched some nearby freshlings with a smile; although they'd never been good with kids, Honey appreciated their easy-going and free nature. If anything, people had said Honey was a child at heart. At the idea of 'stadium jingles', Honey laughed and shook their head. "Well, I mean, if they're catchy..." they commented with a chuckle, "seems like more torture than whatever that gang wants to do. Maybe they'll hack into the PA system and play them?" They suggested with a mock voice of genuine fear.

Soft chuckles at the suggestion of a flask, Francine brought the mug up but still not quite drinking from it. At best she was pantomiming the act of sipping before lowering the mug from her mouth. "You should be so lucky, maybe if my friend was here they'd be offering you a drink post-haste."The pianist's grin widened, her fangs becoming more pronounced, "Shame there aren't any pianos here. I could play you something soothing and I do take requests."

"I have trouble believing this is a prank. And why show us on screen right away, when the worry, the fear and the not knowing is going to make us more scared and stressed? Hell, they could even be trying to scare us with 'who can you trust' because we don't know who they are." She closed her eyes, for a long slow moment, taking a few breaths. When the cocoa came by, her eyes opened again and she snagged some. "I hope, however, that I am wrong and it IS a prank. If so, we'll all be happier in the long run, even if furious at the jerks who did it."
She paused, then added "It just seems TOO big to be a prank. So many of us, in the big stadium... The government MAKING us come here, and... that, whatever that broadcast was, on all the TVs, just taking over? Either it's a prank from very high up, or this is serious." She winced a little at the question about fighting. "I... have never fought in my life, unfortunately. I'm a Daycare provider by profession, the worst I normally have to contend with is toddlers who don't want to take a nap... Or a drunk at the clubs I occasionally visit who doesn't get no." She found herself biting her lip, remembering some good times.Huni Pi And again, as I said in the other thread, sorry for the slowness... I had no energy to rp, as I was waiting for meds. TY for patience!

Oh. Although her face remained unexpressive, Tomorrow's ears dipped ever so slightly as the boy shied away from her, clearly afraid of her. She'd momentarily forgotten that that was the usual reaction she caused in children, due to her appearance. The girl seemed unfazed, however, both by the overall state of affairs as well as Tomorrow's features. She turned her attention to the girl, trying to not intimidate the boy hiding behind her any further. "I don't think you're allowed to come this far from Academy grounds without an adult, though.." she remarked, but nodded slightly, "yet it's true that some animals and plants can't really be found around there, either." She looked at the slug Frit was proudly presenting, and it was a rather large individual from what Tomorrow could tell. Hot beverages began being passed out to those evacuated at the stadium, and the hybrid grabbed mugs of hot chocolate for the two kids as well. She wasn't really sure how else to show the Hallowed boy she was nothing to be feared, although she didn't expect this gesture to do all that much, either.

Honey wasn't the most careful person at the best of times, so they were downing their drink happily, not even considering they could have been tampered with. They looked over at Francine and groaned longingly at the mention of a friend with a drink. "Where are ya friends when I need 'em, Frank?" they asked with a sigh, "suppose I don't got none either, so I can't complain." With a shrug Honey rolled back and forth on the balls of their feet, already starting to grow bored without active entertainment. "Didn't really get to hear you play ealier," they said sadly in regards to Francine's piano playing, "lemme know when ya next show is, ya?"
Noticing the mother had spoken up once more, Honey glanced at Aurianna with a raised brow. "Come on friend, don't think anyone really thinks it's a prank no more," they joked with a hint of melancholy, "even if it started out as one, kinda gone too far now, no?" When she brought up fighting, Honey laughed and leaned forward. "I'd actually say it's 'fortunate' you've never had to fight before, love," they said chirpily, "personally, I prefer to talk my way outta nasty sitches. No need for fighting, drunks look stupid doin' it anyways."

Vadim From behind Frit, gaze purposefully averted, Vadim finally addressed Tomorrow. “We were on a field trip. We got split up.” He got split up. Unable to bear his classmates any longer, Vadim had gone off on his own in pursuit of peace and solitude. Predictably, he had gotten lost, but he could not have cared less. His heart was bitter.
The older hybrid turned away from them momentarily, and Vadim considered fleeing into the crowd. So far she had posed no threat, but her appearance was reminiscent of a monster. He hesitated; it cost him his escape. Tomorrow turned back to face the two children, cocoa in hand. Vadim remained behind Frit.
Sneaking glances at the hybrid, Vadim regarded her warily. His eyes were instinctively drawn towards the tattered wings and stitches along her face and legs. After a moment he mumbled a question. “Are you dead?”

The police have grown quiet, even agitated. Some huddled together, whispering towards one another. Eventually, the group shifted, and suddenly the loud, barking voices of the police officers broke through the crowd.
"We need everyone to remain calm as we see about moving a f-"
Their voice cut off as the sound of a loud scream followed and the doors burst open. Their head snapped back just in time to meet with a flying body, grunting as they were flung backwards by the sheer weight of the body. When they landed it took all of five seconds for them to realize the body thrown at them was not alive. In fact, it wasn't even in one piece.
A group of hooded figures rushed into the stadium, giving those within little time to react. The sounds of screams and sight of fallen bodies was enough to begin the mass rush to the exits. For those who hesitated, they would see the figures tear and rip those around them with little mercy.
What to Do: The hooded figures are out to get those hiding within this university, and your character needs to run if they wish to escape with their life. RNG 1-100. If you get a 30-39, or 50-59, your character managed to escape only after a figure bit you, meaning you are both wounded and have a large bite mark somewhere on your body. Any other number means you escaped without a scratch.
If you are playing a freshling, do not roll for them. They managed to escape without a bite.
Once you are outside, you will find officers gesturing towards nearby portals. Your character will enter them and be immediately transported to the academy, which will have their doors wide open for you. Do not RP entering the academy just yet, your character will be forced to wait within the grounds as people pile into a group.
The next round will begin Jan 9th, 2017.
There may be minor updates before then to this thread, so keep an eye out while RPing. After this round, this thread will be removed and any further RPing should be done at the academy. Wait until the next round to RP in the academy thread.

This was the opposite of good. Until this very moment, Helja had been convinced that it was all a hoax, a bluff, or just an elaborate way of selling a new movie. That idea was promptly dashed when the carnage began and actual people who had been alive a moment ago were now being literally torn apart, one of whom was a litch with more obvious rot than herself, which dashed her idea that such an appearance would prove a turn off.
She was almost trampled twice by people trying to escape, but it was only when someone grabbed her arm that she found herself running. Then there was nothing but running and jumping over people who had fallen. She lost track of whoever had tried to save her, but she spared them no further mind. It was everyone for themselves, and anyone who was behind her meant she had a higher chance of survival. She couldn't spare a moment of pity, for the best way to survive was not to look back. The only safety in numbers was in that someone else might die before you did.

When the screams filled the air Mounia wasn't entirely sure what was going on at first. She blinked, glancing around to try to make sense out of the panic going on around her. She saw people running and someone chasing them. A few of them had gotten bitten, a sense of fury shot through her and she wanted nothing more than to hurt whoever was trying to hurt everyone else, but she felt a hand on her collar, dragging her toward the exit.Everyone/Anyone Someone can be the person who dragged her out? Otherwise, I'll assume it was a police officer?

It was a shitty underhanded move to attack from someone's blind spot. But it was also something Francine would have done if given the opportunity. Her only consolation was that her hands were unharmed. Her thigh, however, had seen better days. But she wasn't simply going to go down without a fight. The beverage in her mug had long cooled but that was fine as well because she didn't so much as throw the drink at her assailant as she smashed the mug into their face. You made her bleed, she'll make you bleed right back!

Honey's blood turned cold when they heard the scream of the officer. They hesitated for only a second, looking around to make sure people were okay. They had just helped a freshling on their feet and out the door when a figure launched at them, sinking their teeth into Honey's shoulder and neck. The senior let out a howl of pain, before twisting and punching the figure full in the face. "Coward!" Honey roared, furious at their pain and deception of the hoods. The figure managed to gouge at the senior's side before Honey sprinted away, fueled by fear, anger and adrenaline. As they were running they saw Francine, clearly injured by the attack. "You right, mate?" they shouted, ready to go back to help the pianist if they needed a hand.

Hana used to think that his hobbies meant he would be less distressed by blood or gore than the average Aboveworlder, but this violence was something else! The speed and savagery with which the hooded figures moved, their screams of rage and the terror and panic which had filled everyone else....
This was an experience completely unlike anything Hana ever imagined was possible to happen in his life. Terror pierced him, leaving the kirin stuck in one place like a live insect pinned to a specimen board. His stupor didn't last long--the stampede of beings crowding for the exits jostled and bumped Hana, pushing him back to his senses.
He saw he wasn't the only person who stood in one place instead of immediately running. A young--Fallen? No, a hybrid--was gritting her teeth and staring furiously at the hooded figures. Hana reached out and grabbed whatever he could reach, before turning to run. He wasn't going to let anyone do something so foolhardy!
