Shun opened his eyes in time to see the shadows darkening around them, causing the glow of the pendant to dim a bit as well. He furrowed his brow, not sure if this was supposed to happen. The look on America's face hinted that this was all still fine.

There was a peculiar scent that wafted to his nose. It oddly made him feel comfortable, like he was at home. It was a sensation he hadn't felt in over half a year. It was... kind of nice.

He picked up the pendant, squeezing the jade, while thinking about hiding away.

The shadows flared up and around Shun until finally, there was just chair, sitting the shadows of the room, empty. America clapped her hands at his success. "You did it!"

shadow shield glyph: the item marked with this glyph will allow the user to hide within a small pocket of shadows, blocking them from being seen and protecting against a single attack. the user may only hide themself in it. the item may be tossed at the ground and used as an escape, disorienting a foe, or tossed at another person to protect them but the item will be sacrificed and another must be made.

the magic will fade with repeated use and will need to be refreshed. it can later be upgraded to be more effective.

note: the learned version is a slightly weaker than America's. Glyphs learned from her may only be created (and refreshed) in Other Ashdown.

"It works best on this side, I can't see you even a little. It'll wear off after a bit, so keep it freshened up from time to time, just in case. You can come out of hiding just by letting go of the thought, Will it away n'such."

"So I am effectively invisible right now?" Shun asked, releasing the thought of hiding shortly after he had spoken up. He looked down at the jade pendant, tilting his head.

"Can you move around like that? Or do you have to sit still?"

America nodded, then waggled a hand. "Works best if you're still as you can manage and quiet. More for hiding than sneaking."

"Good to know. One more question... Does this need to be actively worn or can I get away with it being in my pocket or something like that?" he asked.
