She felt someone pull her close, a sense of familiarity to the situation that not only comforted her but solidified her fear of her past trauma. "..i'm sorry.... i'm sorry..." she repeated within strained breaths as he reassured her she wasn't buried alive anymore, that she was okay with him. She felt his hand against her back, causing a stinging sensation but still felt better than numbness that paired with the fear of dying in that box alone. She was trying to breath a little deeper, her soft sobs making it hard to do but closing her eyes as she listened to his voice and the feeling of rocking. "..im sorry.." she muttered again. The words that then echoed through the silent tension, a command that her mind grasped at, the order to sleep as her body immediately fell limp in Zephyr's arms, increasing her body to its full weight, knocking Zephyr over and pinning him there with her weight. She was still breathing, almost as though she had merely passed out suddenly, asleep where she was laying on Zephyr.

Having been trying to help Hexxis calm down, Zephyr continued to rock her, rubbing her back still until the command was used. As she went limp in his arms, he let out a strange grunt as her sudden increase in body weight caused him to all to the floor, pinned down by the now sleeping Hexxis. "Well.. I guess..that is one way of getting her to calm down." he mumbled, letting out a sigh, knowing he was very well trapped under her unless Tri decided to help him get the girl off of him.
Closing his eyes, moving his one hand that wasn't pinned awkwardly between the two bodies, he rubbed his forehead. "Well...this'll be fun until you want to leave, and can leave."

Tri glared at him as he moved to pick up Hexxis and paused looking faintly surprised as her weight had nearly quadrupled since a few hours before. He paused and back up instead of pulling Hexxis away, letting her inadvertently continue to pin Zeph as he watched him. "What did you do?!" He flared his wings and motioned to Hexxis." What did you do to make her so fearful and of what?!"

Trying to help Hexxis off of him when Tri attempted to move her, Zephyr pretty much had his breath knocked out of him when she was dropped back onto his chest. Taking a breath, he let it out slowly and closed his eyes again, moving to rub his forehead. This was not how he had wanted to actually interact with the man that was considered to be her father, let alone the way he had wanted to interact with her once they were back together.
"I'm going to assume that she's scared of being trapped underground in a box - much like the one I found her in during the last mission that she went on Solo.." he was clearly bracing himself for some physical or verbal lashing as he tensed up a bit, "She went on a solo mission, one that I literally couldn't go with her or it would blow her cover - and she ended up... something went wrong...." he paused, trying to remember back to that day, that morning when he had run out to go find her, "I think she mentioned something about how the guy she was supposed to deal with was controlling her or something, but whatever happened it ended up with her trapped... underground...." he opened his eyes, looking up to the ceiling and turning his head so he wouldn't be looking near Tri. "I... I found her and got her out..."
Zephyr took in another deep breath, slowly letting it out yet again, trying to keep his own heart from racing and his thoughts from back then from coming to the front. "That's all I can think of that would make her react like that.. in relation to being in this dead drop..."

"A solo mission" he repeated but the way he repeated it made it sounds like Zeph had found a new and creative way to make him like him less." Common sense is obviously not one of the subjects tested on in the mercenaries test " he stated as he looked to Hexxis again then back angrily as if realizing something, convenient wasn't it that she gets buried alive on a solo run he knew about and now she relies on him for emotional support."So she was trapped underground...and you...why do you want her. Why did you become her partner?"

Now just covering his face with his hand, Zephyr resisted the urge to scream, was this man always this infuriating? Letting out sigh that was partially mixed with a groan, he slid his hand down his face, opening his eyes and rolling them up, in a motion of <******** really?, before he looked to Tri. "First off - yes, a solo mission, we get those a lot. Where you have to go out alone without another merc to help you. Secondly - common sense is a dying art. Thirdly - Yes, she was trapped underground and almost died. As for why I became her partner, I didn't want to see her like she was after that mission ever again, and we agreed that we would become a team as we seemed to work pretty damn well together on the duo missions that we took before we even took the team test. Together, we aced that goddamn test and you bet I am proud that we did that." He had been staring at Tri the entire time he spoke, quite clearly not one for just taking hits without defending himself or Hexxis.

Tri looked at him most unimpressed " ...You let a girl who just reached teenager go on a solo mission which was likely not something she was ever trained for. Then you sit here and agree that common sense is a dying art?!" he growled softly, his wings completely bristle and his reactions weren't faint any more they were a full on emotion.
"You aced it with your mental connection I supposed, not due to any -skill- or -training- between both of you...in other words cheating. Not within three weeks we lost her, not even with her quick learning ability would she learn the nuances of emotion so fast to manipulate someone else " he paced around her until he could stare down at the mercenary in anger.
"Which I assume she was doing "solo", unless this was a solo fight. No don't answer that... I want you to stay away from her.. move on. Find the next ... person to manipulate. " he gave him a look of disgust as he summon both his artifacts and made them disappear as he reached for Hexxis.

Zephyr was getting pretty upset by everything that was being tossed his way. "I didn't know she had just become a teenager - she was fine on every other single mission she went on - it's also common sense that a lot of mercenaries start really young--" as he watched Tri pace, he slowly felt stick to his stomach, his own nerves getting to him, as well as the fact that he just couldn't get through to the guy.
"It's not---" he groaned, wanting to just shout at him, his emotions starting to get the better of him, but he pulled them in, not wanting to wake Hexxis. A look of confusion hit him when he spoke of the manipulation - the words confusing and strange. "You're upset about her having emotions?" Zephyr looked quite appalled at that.
Though, as Tri went on to try and reach for her, the Mercenary moved to smack his hand away with his own only free hand, "I never manipulated her into staying with me, I don't manipulate the people I care about, the ones I love!" he finally shouted, not wanting to let them leave when they were both pretty hurt - more so Hexxis. As he shouted, the kettle that had been put on the stove began to whistle.

"Are you only good at grasping for straws?! because as I can see you know lot about -nothing- and I am not going to enlighten you" he glared as he had his hand smacked away and was trying his best not to retaliate.
"Of course you care for her... in the same way you cared for all your other conquests. I am telling you again. Stay. away. from. her" this time he did grab her and just teleported, further than belrad all the way back to the one area he was always familiar with and likely the worst to be as well, Norcrest in a empty house he knew about.

Letting out a shout when Tri took Hexxis and teleported, unable to stop it this time around, he slammed his fist into the cement floor, letting the kettle whistle until he finally walked over to it and took it off the burner. Turning off the stove, he let out a slight sob, hiding his face with one hand, his emotions getting the best of him. Moving to sit on the bed, he collected himself - the entire thing taking at least 15 minutes - before he took out his phone.
Looking down at it, he scrolled through the contacts and selected one. "Hey....it's me. I need you to help me one more time, then I'll be out of your hair for good.."
