"Aw, that's sweet! I'm fine, I'm fine! I'll find a good teacher. Don't you fret." He gave her a wider grin and then just sort of rolled his shoulders in a way that made his back pop. "So now that we have this delightful place, V'demhe, what should we do? Think camping here would be fun for the girls or..?" Or would they prefer an inn? Honestly he loved inns, but camping could be a lot of fun. It was warm enough for now, that they didn't have to worry too much about blankets. "Your call either way."

With his back popping her antennae flickered and she gave a small shake of her head. "Do that and you will need a healer." When he mentioned that they could likely camp out where they were she nodded her head. Finding an Inn would have been nice but she could work with what they had. "Staying here wouldn't be bad. Everyone can wash up and the land is open enough that I can keep watch." Leave it to her to always think strategically.

"Actually, I don't think anything comes of popping your bones. From what I was told it's air in your joints and it's harmless... aside from feeling nice." Klaas shrugged. "I don't know if it's true.. I could ask my teacher when I find one!" Dem had agreed to stay here and Klaas beamed and looked around for a nice, flat area, near the lake, but not too near. "Under some trees, probably. In case of rain." He looked at the sky. Right now it was clear, but who knew. He busied himself with wringing his hair out and just thought for a minute. "...Have you.. killed anyone? I know it can happen. But you don't have to answer!"

She agreed that under a tree was best. Though she wasn't sure just how much cover it would provide if the wind blew during any potential rain. Not that she said as much. Dem blinked a few times as Klaas asked her a question that she had not been prepared for. Her antennae lowered slightly and she looked away from the boy. "I have, it's not a good feeling. If I can avoid it then I do. If you want to know if I killed an extremist... then no. I could never bring myself to hurt one of my own." Alkidikes were her sisters, connected through Aisha. But then there was also her family. Earthlings were included in that family and she wouldn't hurt them either.

He hadn't wanted to pry for details, but she'd offered them. He got up from his spot and moved, putting a hand on her arm, looking up at her. "Mm.. It happens.. I don't think any less of you. I ...have a feeling if it could have been avoided, you would have done that." Klaas couldn't help her much, honestly. "I'm sorry I turned the conversation so serious... I just think out loud a lot. You're free to wallop me on the head if it's something personal or that you'd don't want me talking about." Red eyes glanced around then before settling back on her and tilting his head. "...Can ...I touch your antennae? Not to change the subject, but.."

She brought her hand up to rest over his and she smiled at him. "It's alright, little ember, the girls have asked me about that before as well. It's not something I hide." Dem might have avoided bringing it up but she would never hide it. "And I would never hit you for just asking a question." This time she chuckled. When he made the weird request to touch her antennae she tilted her head slightly, looking at him with a thoughtful expression before she nodded. "Just don't pull on them." One could guess the pain that was felt if that happened.

"Why would I pull?" He reached up and poked one of them, the left, before sort of petting it with his index finger. It was warm and soft, like skin should be. It was weird. He didn't know what he was expecting, honestly. "Aaah, we.. should probably start squishing things down to set up." He nodded at that, flicking one lightly and pulling away. Hey, he didn't pull!

"Children tend to pull on them." Especially if they didn't have any of their own. Dem affectionately recalled Galene and Valharii reacting to the antennae. When Klaas poked her left feeler and ran his finger over it, it twitched. There was an unlevel effect to it for a moment as the other one didn't seem to be affected in the same manner. When the boy changed the subject yet again she chuckled. "If you intend to be a healer you better get used to the oddities." The antennae, the long ears, and of course crystals. Though Klaas had those so he might not be so weirded out by them.

Klaas just grinned at that and nodded. He knew. "Yeah. I've seen some things already but.. Normally I don't get to know them in order to ask to poke at them a little." The Oban shrugged again and just stretched himself out before going to mash down some grass so they could lay comfortably. "Time to get ready for camping." He was going to work quietly and just focus on the task at hand. Despite not doing much today, Klaas felt beat. Maybe it was the walking coupled with the weight of todays conversations, but he was yawning every so often and looked like he could barely keep his eyes open.

A smile stayed in place and a Klaas started to yawn and look like he might not be on his feet too much longer she got up. "I think you should lay down and rest, my little ember." Dem removed the overskirt she wore over her pants and draped it over him. Since he was used to the hotter climates of Oba she imagined he would get cold during the night.
