Mara opened her eyes again tiredly and looked at him, sipping her coffee quietly as he talked, her own golden eyes narrowing in thought as she nodded. "Two days ago... pretty much the day I took the others was when we needed something like that. I wouldn't have had to take in Spectrum's "Help" " she said with a sigh.
"Sorry if I don't seem ecstatic.. I really am. I am just tired. What you said will help me kick out the doctor spectrum sent me...and I am sure he will be more than happy to leave" she said quietly. "Also Malice and Manes... they can switch from one to the other? I thought they died happy or angry and didn't really change from that" a flicker of a frown as she took in another sit. "Is that why you were so intent on finding Ashral before?" a hint of disapproval on her voice.

"I wish I had known then..." he muttered then sighed. "It's fine, I understand your lack of outward enthusiasm... really." he assured then shifted a bit, sliding his gaze away as he sipped more of the coffee.
"It would seem that way, at least I'm beginning to really think so. I don't know what makes them change or why they do, but the way Alice was when she first attached to Melody... as Kreimhilde.. she had no memories of her former life and probably forgot what her regret was and was only filled with hate over how she died... I can say without an ounce of doubt she was a malice or at least very close to it. Now, she's definitely a Mane, at least last time I checked." he explained calmly then sighed. "That being said, I don't think that Ashral is a Malice... I could never feel anger in her soul. Only confusion, fear,.. and regret. I think she is a Mane. But I'm afraid to say for certain since that would mean that Mane's can be controlled into becoming Malices... and with the ability to switch like that without knowing why they do... that means even a Mane could eventually become a threat." he sighed again, with much more exasperation. "She just seemed like a troubled girl when I was a kid... I don't know. I had just hoped I could talk to her... reason with her, figure out what went wrong." he answered her then frowned. "I'm still trying to understand it all, but with what I've learned, I think I can help out a lot... and I have the means to find out more."

"Leukos....are you sure you don't want to help out Spectrum? I am not saying I don't need your abilities or that they won't be useful but you are saying things that they are only guessing at. Well...you are saying things that are should never to really be heard by the general public" she said in a soft conversational voice as she sipped her coffee again.
"Nice clear cut lines are what everyone loves and wants. I won't say hoping things where like that wouldn't make everything easier but..." she sighed. "That would be something Haven would love. Can you guess training the meta and the ma....spirit within them then a few short years and having two soldiers instead of one? " she looked at him and winced, right..she wasn't talking to Kae who might see the advantages of that.
"You confirmed what Ree only guessed at ....I still don't saee where you're both seeing a trouble girl in someone who happily screams for blood and kills people" she shook her head. "I guess ther emight be some truth? or she changed again...so far I haven't heard anything about a beserked true Shadow killing people for kicks and giggles around here"

Leukos narrowed his eyes at the second mention of possibly joining Spectrum, his hair brightening very slightly. "And why can't SIU have that too?" he asked coldly, almost defensive. He held a breath before exhaling and relaxing. "I really have no intentions of going back there." he spoke bluntly.
He paused as she spoke of Haven training two soldiers in one, setting his cup down for the moment. "...that what they did to Hexxis and Ashral... " his voice was a bit shaky like he had just realized it, not having the kind of mindset to have thought of such an unethical thing. "They trained them both... Made Ashral confused and turned her into a Malice... That has to be it..."
He then looked to Mara, "Its because you can't see the real her... I don't know.. I saw her how she really was. Defenseless. I saw her soul... And what she was really feeling, even if I didn't understand it at the time. But I understand how you could only see the murderous side to her.. The one that haven created."

"Leukos. I am slowly even trying to start up SIU. Long before I came along it dealt with the experimentation of true races and their powers. My predecessor ended up having to work with what remains he did have once the true races were able to gain their own rights" she said quietly, playing silently with the cardboard piece of her cup as she watched him.
"My brother was one of their last experimental subjects. " she frowned slightly. " So when metas came along they almost reopened as a mini Haven, the reason they didn't was because there was already Haven already far advanced and SIU was getting breakthroughs on the remains.. that most people ignored. So when I finally rose enough and gained control ...when the danger of metas started to become more real I pushed for working with them instead of experimenting on them. Instead of making more people like Hexxis... you don't know how much they pushed for programs like Hexxis. So now? now that Beldrad owns SIU ... we have to change everything.. even our old projects will have to be given up as the research items are return to their families for proper burial. Belrad is a city of true races..we were never meant to be here so we have to adept ...that means putting more focus on metas..because that is what everyone wants now. Mane and Malices... are wild cards... but useful wild cards... if you want that research branch to open in SIU you have to give me a plan..and realize that things might not go the way you want them..because ultimately..while I do try to help metas...this is a defense for humans and true races against metas. It could easily turn either way ...depending if we can even open" she said finally taking a deep breath.

Leukos stared at Mara with narrowed eyes, "I know you want to warn me about this stuff... how SIU was almost Haven too... but I joined you for selfish reasons and you knew that. I'm not here because I want to do good in this world. I'm here because I want to prove something and to protect Melody. So even if it still had weaponizing projects,... even if it didn't... doesn't matter. Don't think I don't know why SIU was created to fight against Metas.. to fight against the Renegades. Both my parents fought on the other side of this war in the name of rights for Metas in their own way. And you built up a section of SIU to work with them to defend the humans and true races and also garner rights.. eventually." he sighed, tilting his almost empty cup slightly, "So honestly, if no one is in the wrong, then what does it matter..."
"I only wanted to tell you about what I can do so that it can help you. Just because I said you can use that information to your benefit didn't mean go waving a flag around that I can do this... Spectrum could take me back if they really wanted to... and honestly, I'm surprised they hadn't.. I have a feeling they knew of this potential, trying to hone it. But because I don't want to return willingly, they won't make me. It's not to say they couldn't, on paper I'm still their property and I'm not an adult. They could still say they own me. If they wanted to. So it's more of a trump card that I'm allowing you to use if it will help in the future.." he sipped his coffee again. "I'd like to help you open a branch in SIU that can focus on Manes and Malices.. research on them.. but my main focus is helping protect this fragile bond of Metas and True Races in Belrad. We can figure out the rest later. I just want to help you. I don't want to go back to Spectrum.. and I certainly want to help make sure SIU doesn't turn into a Mini Haven." he narrowed his eyes again, "Is that okay?"

Mara sighed "I almost wished they did contest before. That way I could have just pulled rank and national security..son of two Renegade members etc etc etc. Now....I can't give you that protection...if they really wanted to screw you over they...they still own you even if you are an adult. That said....-you- are the one who wants to open up a division on mane and malices. If you want to so badly ...write up a proposal. Tell me how it will be different from Spectrum and how it will tie in with SIU's goals. Another goal of SIU was to help humans and true races...show that metas can help not only hurt ... " she shook her head.
"So you know what we do, what we try to do. Tie in that division with it and there is a very good chance it might be accepted. Two other things...by doing that you will be putting yourself in as the main researcher...I can offer help but that will be your division. Secondly... I need to start looking at what is needed for a meta to become a Belosh citizen...I suggest you, Melody, Syth and who ever else try to get citizenship. It is a liability but at the same time you're more protected than I can do " she took another sip which never came and looked at the empty cup disgusted.

"I understand that.. My main focus is helping you rebuild and open SIU with its main mission in mind. On my free time, I'll write up a proposal about the other division and come to you with it. That's secondary. But it will help in the long run too." he sighed at his own empty cup. Well, there went the coffee.
"I'll look into Belosh citizenship. Hopefully, there's some way we can get rights from them somehow. I'll let you know what I find on that. And if it turns out there's some way to protect Melody and Syth that way, then I'll do what I can to make that happen." he looked to the window, it had been a while, likely the cab might have been showing up by then. His tail flicked lightly side to side in his impatience, he was anxious to see Melody but his face simply wouldn't show his excitement, keeping a stern look out the window for now.

Mara looked surpised then faintly amused as Leukos reminded her of Tri, excatly from helping her open to hunting down information. It actually hurt a bit...she missed him..them.
"That will actually help out tremendously, just gathering that information. You'll have time I have quite a bit to do and actually... you want to help me reopen? Then I have the perfect job. How good are you with kids?" She smirked slightly glancing toward the window as well but not seeing the cab. A few seconds later her phone rang and she answered muttered a be right there as she hanged up. "It's waiting outside. Let's go" she grabbed the pastry and threw away the empty cup, leading the way to the cab that had parked out of view so it could take them back to SIU.

He blinked, looking at Mara for a moment. No, she did say kids. "Personally.. not that great. But Kira is pretty good with them, and I have other contracts with spirits that are fairly good with them. I could ask them for advice if I need assistance in dealing with children." he answered with a slight sigh. As she mentioned the cab was there, he nodded then got up, obtaining a bag from the barista to put the pastry in and throwing his empty cup away. He then followed Mara to the cab and sat in the back quietly, looking out the window at the bustling city. It was definitely different than being in a large empty mansion for a while, even before Melody left.

"Good....because I think their lives might depend on you. Either Raven my new second is going to kill them or I will if they pull something like what they did with the generator again. I don't think they will stay long...even then, there might be two new toddler arrivals that will replace them...if they hatch "she muttered then shook her head. "Thank again for coming" she didn't care to much if the driver heard as she just shifted in the seat slightly and blankly look out the window.

Mara paid the taxi driver and turned away to look at the front of SIU, one of the constructions crews was here today and they were throwing wire for a hard wired security system while another small crew was off in the back working with the main generator since they were only had the backup one going. "....I have to go deal with that ..."
She muttered and shook her head. "Well first thing first. Since you want to do what you said... I am going to tell Dr Eind the good news. He can return back to his normal in Spectrum and not have to worry about crazed people in suits randomly crashing through the wall" she muttered under her breath. "Let's just go with the story that you can see when they are mane and malices and not so much the controlling or anything else like that okay?" She looked to Leukos as she lead the way inside. "Melody should be around and everyone else...we're all basically staying in this small building.. It was the only nearly complete one before the attack. "

Leukos remained silent in the cab, just taking in the information as they travelled.
As they made it to the facility, he exited the vehicle and covered a hand over his eyes to shield from the sun. Sighing, this place was much smaller than before but it was fine. He nodded as2 she stated she needed to deal with the work on the generator. "Hey.. Why don't I just find Melody and have her take me to him.. Then you can work on that stuff. Its fine, I'll talk to him so don't worry about it." he offered calmly. "It'll be fine, just go take care of your thing." he insisted, sliding his hands into the pockets of his jacket as he walked.

Mara looked at him intently and frowned, really not wanting to do that but at the moment she was seriously tempted to go and barracked herself in her office for a few days and go through some serious work. "Don't give him much information. " she warned with a frown. "And if he doesn't believe you just send him over to me. " she said glancing over at some workers then back at Leukos. "She will be around... " she muttered opening the door for him and turning around to head after the workers.

Leukos looked around at all the spirits of the people in the building, too many too strange to discern who was who. Though he was getting a better picture himself. He moved down the hall before stopping at one of the doors, his eyes widening slightly as he heaitated then knocked on the door.
There was some shuffling behind the door before it unlocked and cracked open slowly, a guilt pale face appearing to stare at Leukos before her eyes widened in fear."...Luekos?.." she muttered with a quick exhale.
"...ashral?..." he whispered, the surprise still clear on his face.
Her eyes widened further as he spoke her name. "I'm sorry you must have the wrong person.. My name is Farrow." she spoke quickly, hesitated then slammed the door suddenly, locking it.
"W-wait!!" he exclaimed suddenly, trying at the door then knocking loudly on it. "A-... Farrow!" he banged on the door.
"GO AWAY!!" she yelled from the other side of the door.
Leukos moved to punch the door but hesitated then took a step back from the door. "...I'm sorry.. I... I must have the wrong person.." he muttered quietly then sighed. He probably should go look for Dr.Enid... wherever he was. He began to look at the rooms again as he reluctantly walked away from the door, pain in his eyes.

Casually making his way from the kitchen, Dr. Enid had a mug of coffee in his hands as he walked through the hallways, humming to himself as he made his way back to the room he had been given during his stay. With a pair of cheaply made and cheaply bought drugstore glasses which were being used as temporary ones, he seemed to be pretty chill for what had happened recently. As he move through the hallway, he stopped when he saw a strange boy with rainbow colored hair.
"Oh, hello."
