Reinerite had watched as Leucite wrote up information on the board about the four different branches of the Negaverse, her grey eyes taking the time to particularly study the sections on General Operations and Special Operations.

She had actually attended meetings for both the Information and Infiltration branches and had found both interesting in their own way, but had missed the one for Special Operations as it had been on the same day as the Information meeting and the Information meeting had been interesting enough for her not to want to leave it early and miss out on the questions and answers section in order to make it on time to the Special Operations meeting.

She hadn't had any questions about the functions of the different branches either, instead taking time to quietly jot down the information from the board onto her pad as she listened to questions that some of the others present had asked.

And whilst she hadn't been expecting a change of location, Reinerite had laid down her notepad and pen as requested and had followed along with the others as Leucite led them down along the hall and past a few doorways to a large gymnasium.

He was right in that she didn't view her weapon as particularly useful - because there wasn't really much that you could do with a snow globe - however she summoned to her hand as requested, grey eyes quietly studying it for a few moments before slipping off the belt from her waist and stepping forward as requested.

"This is my weapon sir" she said quietly as she held up the snow globe, her grey eyes cool.

"And for my different ways of using it I guess the direct way would be by either trying to hit someone with it or by throwing it as a projectile."

A brief pause to gather her thoughts and then she continued "Or I could try and break it and use the shards..."

Another brief pause and then she added "Or I could combine it with my belt" and here she held up the belt "And use the belt as a sort of sling to make it a better projectile" and whilst Reinerite hadn't actually tried using the belt as a sort of sling or tried smashing the snow globe in order to get pieces that might be used - she thought that both methods might work.

"Or alternatively I could wrap the belt round the snow globe" and once again she demonstrated, ensuring that the belt was tight around the snow globe "And use the combination together to swing the snow globe out at someone."

She was more confident about that last one as it was one that she had already used.. Granted not against a person, however it had come in useful during her first ever Negaverse mission and had been more effective than trying to use the snow globe on its own.

Lopezite had been captivated by the idea of draining energy—of starseeds. He had been given a very brief description prior to this, but hearing it gone over in such detail had drawn him to silence. He was contemplating the morality of it, but the more he rolled the idea over in his mind, the less he could actually say it bothered him. There was a time and a place for it, he supposed, as there was with everything.

His fascination with starseeds left him less than focused when the description of each branch was provided, but he had read enough to get the vague idea. He had no intention of switching branches—at least, not yet, so knowing the branches was of little interest.

He couldn't afford not to pay attention when they were suddenly being tasked to move. He hadn't brought anything with him, so there was nothing to leave behind.

Summoning his weapon was still something he was getting used to; when it was in his hand, he ran his fingers over the smooth, fading leather. He had a sheath, curved and embellished. It was not a weapon he could see doing much damage on its own. It could not slash, it was not heavy. Throwing it would do as much damage as a stick, probably.

When Reinerite had finished speaking, he presented his sword sheath. He did not seem ashamed of the weapon he had been given, and he did not hesitate to speak.

"It would be best wielded by hand. It has no weight to it, so throwing would be mostly ineffective. It is not durable enough to do harm while stabbing. I can assume it is hard leather of some sort. It is sewn here," he ran his finger lightly along the ridge. "I suppose if I needed, running this along someone's flesh would bring great discomfort. Not unlike ropeburn. But," he admitted, "It would be a great effort. It would be far easier to utilize the shape of the weapon and attack weaker points."

He had ideas for what he could do with it, but it wasn't necessarily pretty. He kept it simple.

"It would fit well in an eye socket. Or down a throat."

There was a heavy moment of hesitation before Chrysocolla felt alright with speaking out again -- did she really even deserve to be here, with all these Lieutenants, who were new and actually needed the info? Well. It was fine. It was fine, and she wasn't going to let her anxiety claw up from inside her ribcage and turn her blood to ice again, as had happened too many times. This was her place. She would rock it.

"My first two magics affect someone's emotions in unpredictable ways, and the third one amplifies emotions," she nodded, mouth set in a firm line. "They're not just limited to humans, either. But as far as using them to help my allies goes...I can convince someone to fight, make an enemy regret their bravado, or I could drive someone into, um...a berserker rage, sort of, if they were already angry." I've also trained to fight physically, she didn't say, as well as I'm damn useless in a long-range fight. Wasn't the place or time.

Raspite did not need to be told twice. He rose from his seat as the General made motion for them to leave and head toward the gym. He fell into step behind the others with little trouble and watched as each of them filed into place in line before their teachers.

He gave a solemn nod as he heard mention of the way most Lieutenants viewed their weapons. He had to admit that he himself was less than pleased with the candy cane that had presented itself to him.

Normally he would have relied on his street skills and scrapping ability to get him by in a fight, but that was not what his general wanted in this case. It would take a awhile to think, but as the others took their turns in line, Raspite moved to present his own ideas to General Leucite.

He took a knee before the man. He producing the small candy cane before him and presenting it to the general. "This is my weapon sir. A rather fragile one at that." He pulled a face and shook his head. Though he knew there were some worse off, he still couldn't get over the irony of his weapon.

"In the past I have attempted to sharpen the point into something more useful. Though I have noticed that it is not inclined to stay in such a state." He tensed his jaw, setting his face as his continued to speak. "So, aside from using it has as the usual stake, which has been knocked off the list to to hassle, I have decided it can be useful to gouge out an eye or if used with enough force it could do decent damage to the skin. If inserted correctly between fingers and twisted sharply it can also dislocate knuckles."

He could not help but smile. Having gotten into his fair share of fights, he knew that it was the smallest of injuries that could end one. something so simple as a dislocated finger could send a man packing, and that is what he was banking on for the most part.

Standing back, Stibnite had waited for the room to clear before she followed the others out. Walking into the gym, she had to admit that hearing all the different ideas for the so called 'useless' items made her smile. Especially Lopezite. His response made her grin largely.

Summoning her own, a silver cross inlaid with small blue stones, Stibnite moved forward. "No one can say you all do not lack creativity." She gazed at the senshi as well, nodding before looking back at Lopezite "If your sheath is empty, have you considered filling it? Making it heavier if needed to put something to your advantage. Even if you can only get one good swing out of it...make it count."

Her eyes then moved to Reinerite. "Shards are a beautiful idea. And no need to worry. Your welcome will return to normal the next time you summon it. Though I have to wonder about a trip weapon as well. Stubbing your toe on something like that does hurt quite a bit."

Leifite hung back and watched the others come up with ideas. She noted the others, their weapons, their confidence or lack their off with their ideas. This was her strength, at the end of the day. She watched, she waited, she absorbed all the information she could. So she was self-centered; she had great cause to be so.

Now what to do with her horsebrush? The small teen thought about it, taking ideas from the others and changing them up. She knew very little of actual fighting. Roller derby 'fighting' was a lot different from real combat. It included skates and moving at speed, and just straight shoving people out of the way. Not that she'd ever done that, course.

"I have a horsebrush, which is primarily used to brush, well, horses. I figure I could use the brisles to cause abrasions while punching them, or try to blind them with a good horsebrush to the face," she said, fluffing the brissles with her hand. "Obviously I could throw it, but I don't think that would do much damage."

"Perhaps I could rig it much like a banana peel; the back of the brush is smooth and would easily slide with the wrong application of pressure. Maybe tie a string to pull the brush at the last minute?" Leifite shrugged, not fully convenience that would work.

"Finally, along the lines of, ah, Reinerite was it? I could tie a rope to the horsebrush and use it as a flail or weighted lasso, perhaps." That one had some merit to it. The brush was weighty enough that get some momentum behind it and she could crack skulls with it.

Or at the very least, daze people.

Calomel took her time going up to the general. After what had happened previously with him, she was in no rush to get in any closer. But soon enough she had to present her own item to him.

In her hands she had summoned a long, soft, fluffy white stole. Not the most dangerous of things, but certainly better than some of the other items she had seen in the hands of her colleagues. It didn't take long for her to come up with ways. She was the military history teacher after all, she KNEW even the most basic of items could be deadly in the hands of an expert. Not that she was one.

"First, Strangulation. With enough pressure, and given that this stole is made out of some sort of animal fur, it would be sufficient in snapping a persons neck as well. Second, for incapacitate, it can easily be used to tie hands and legs together. With someone bound up, they have no chance to retaliate an attack. Thirdly, as a method of torture for information extraction, one could simply tie the item around someone's upper arm. In doing so, with a tight enough force, you could cut off their circulation and cause the blood to become trapped. Have it in this situation long enough, they loose feeling. Then you can watch slowly as the limb dies, or start lopping off digits as one deems fit."

Was the young woman bloodthirsty? No, not at all! She just saw what she could do and acknowledge it. If anything, she seemed a little bored by this part of the lesson. Of course, she felt as if she was to get some snide remark from the General due to the lack of 'creativity' in her methods.

"Beyond those, there's also suffocation. Simply cover the enemy's airwaves long enough, and they stop breathing. If One's willing to make a mess, and if teleportation is an option, you could also bind them, and take them to the top of a roof and push them off. It's essentially a thick rope, sir. Endless possibilities."

After everyone had showcased their magic or weapon, Leucite gave a few solid claps of his hand, and dismissed his own weapon. "Good, I selected this exercise to have you all think outside the box. It is important to remember that out there, there are no rules. Anything can be a weapon."

He bowed his head to Calomel. Their initial meeting had not gone well, and he hoped that by the end of all this he could instill some fire into her. But so far things did not seem to be so. "It is good to know possible options with your weapons, sometimes a creative use of them can save you in a pinch."

Turning to the two corrupts he nodded his head. "It would also behoove you all to get used to working with Corrupts such as Valeria and Chrysocolla here. We have no magic of our own, so the Corrupt Senshi are our only means of fighting back against the White Moon with their own weapons. I would suggest getting together with any corrupts you meet and trying to schedule dual patrols. Working in teams will aid you in fighting the enemy and it will allow you to focus on larger groups of civilians for energy draining as well."

With that, he nodded his head to all of the others in the room. "Now then, back to the classroom."

He lead them back to the classroom and moved to the board, erasing it before moving to the lectern and grabbing a stack of papers, he placed one on each of their desks.

"I have a small quiz for each of you to fill out. You may either fill it out here and turn it into me now, or take it home and return it to my office. In either case, you are all dismissed for the night." Leucite said, as he stood beside the lectern. "Have a good evening, and I will be getting in touch with each of you before the start of the next class with the schedule. Anyone who'd like to hang around and shcedule a one-on-one appointment may do so."

QUIZ!
  1. Name at least two of the Branches of the Negaverse and their functions.
  2. You are in the middle of draining energy and you are stopped by a member of the White Moon. What do you do?
  3. What do you feel is your role in the Negaverse? What do you think would make you a better Officer?

Looks like class is wrapping up for the night! If you would like to use the quiz for a solo prompt, feel free to have your character take it home and fill it out there. Raspite grinned and nodded as the general mentioned teaming up with the corrupts. He had not had the pleasure of meeting any of them as of yet, and he was certain their magic could come in handy. If nothing else it could be used as a distraction as he went in for an attack, and that was a blessing to be certain.

As the quiz was handed out, the young lieutenant drew it in close to his body. He may have been a drop out, but he remembered what it was like to have someone cheat on a test. He was not about to be the one that got in trouble for such things.

He looked over the three questions, he chuckling and shaking his head as he put pen to paper. His writing was legible, but very obviously rushed at points where the elegant curves became scribbles.

1. Name at least two of the Branches of the Negaverse and their functions.

Information Branch: Used to gather information of those in the White Moon court as well a in the Negaverse. The information is compiled and kept in files for use between officers.

Infiltration Branch: Our eyes and ears in the human world. We gather information on locations for energy gathering as well as keeping surveillance on those that are known to have contact with White Moon.

2. You are in the middle of draining energy and you are stopped by a member of the White Moon. What do you do?

I assess the situation and determine if the cause is worth the fight. If the energy has been mostly collected, it is more advantageous to flee than to fight.

Though if the enemy shows signs that they are weaker, it could be useful to attempt to sway them to the Negaverse, or to simply eliminate the issue entirely.

3. What do you feel is your role in the Negaverse? What do you think would make you a better Officer?

I feel it is my duty to collect energy in small batches, bringing it into the Negaverse without attracting too much attention. Those that are human give a noble sacrifice for the cause, and should never be drained fully. It is them we are trying to save from the white moon and in that we owe them comfort in the way we take heir energy

He lowered his pen, setting it on the table before rising from his seat and carrying the paper to the front of the class. He handed it in and gave a firm nod before bowing and taking a step back.

He addressed the General, making certain to have full eye contact she he did so. He was proud, and he knew he needed to show that strength in himself. "I thank you for the class, General. It was enlightening and well worth the time. I look forward to the next one you give."

He gave another deep bow, his hand on his chest before he turned and took his leave of the classroom. He would now return to the barracks. Hopefully he would have his room assignment at this point.

She the General mentioned her, and Chrysocolla, Valeria found her pink eyes focusing on her shoes. To be put in the spotlight, and have it pointed out that she was a possible asset and someone to seek out - to team up with. Chewing on the inside of her cheek she lifted her head finally, slowly, and smiled a shy smile. Maybe someone would want to work with her? Maybe she would gain a few friends here...she knew so few in the Negaverse. Would someone after this approach her and want to team up? She hoped so but she tried not to let it show, not let it blossom...as she didn't want to face the possible let down. But hope she did anyway.

With the small quiz the pink haired corrupted decided she might as well fill it out here and now, she had no idea when she'd get the time back home. her civilian life could be busy and hectic, actually...it was most of the time.

Finding something to write with, the slip of paper in hand, she wrote down the answers in a neat scroll before approaching the General to turn it in. She also was hoping to perhaps go out with him and gather energy. At least he wouldn't want to hurt innocent people...she could do that.

"General." Her voice was low, soft, as she held up the filled out quiz. "I..I was hoping to get some time out in the field with you perhaps? I have tried in the past, with a large scale plot, but the attack against innocent civilians didn't sit right with me - we are fighting to protect them from the other side." As he had said similar earlier. "I would like more time to use my magic and help." And her magic could be helpful, she had no idea just how helpful in time it could become. If she knew that she might be racing toward a promotion in order to help more - in order to be needed.

Quote:
1. Name at least two of the Branches of the Negaverse and their functions.
Intelligence branch: They gather information on those of the white moon as well as our own officers, finding those who we could corrupt as well as those who as disloyal or questionable. A wealth of information.

Special Operations Branch: They do what the other branches can't - they get their hands bloodier. They are the..shock troops. They are the more combat oriented members with more training than most other officers. Killers.

2. You are in the middle of draining energy and you are stopped by a member of the White Moon. What do you do?
That would depend on their rank and my own. If they are higher I will use my magic on them and call for back up. If they are equal then I will use my magic and fight them on my own., leave the civilian for now.

3. What do you feel is your role in the Negaverse? What do you think would make you a better Officer?
I think I am good support, I can aid others in a fight and help as I can provide a bit of magic. I need more time out in the field - to work on confidence and magic. I need a team to work with.

A thoughtful look slipped into Reinerite's grey eyes at Stibnite's suggestion.

"I'll definitely take that into consideration" she said quietly and whilst she knew that she could summon and un-summon her weapon, Reinerite hadn't actually realised that doing so could 'fix' the weapon if for whatever reason she ended up breaking it - like to make shards...

And using it as some sort of trip aid also sounded like it might have potential, although it was probably not something to use if she was on a solo patrol.

She listened as others came up with ideas for their weapons, grey eyes taking note of the different things being presented and also noted
Leucite's comment about anything having the potential to be a weapon after he had dismissed his weapon and brought the activity to an end.

Reinerite was still musing on it as he indicated the stack of papers, a part of her considered perhaps looking at her surroundings more.

She sat with the test and took up the pen she was using to take notes and spent a few moments filling it out.

Completed Quizz
1. Name at least two of the Branches of the Negaverse and their functions.

i. Information Branch
It's purpose is twofold:

The first is to gather information on the following:
- Senshi and Knights (White Moon)
- Negaverse members
- Anything that would benefit the Negaverse

The second is to manage this information. Information Generals are also the ones that oversee those signing up for a username and password so that they access and add information to the database.

ii. Infiltration Branch
It's purpose for its members to be the the ears, eyes and voice of the Negaverse.

Members of the branch may have spend a good amount of time powered down in order to do this.

2. You are in the middle of draining energy and you are stopped by a member of the White Moon. What do you do?

Store what has already been collected and quickly assess the situation. If possible engage but make sure to try and do so in such a way that the already collected energy is not jeopardised.

3. What do you feel is your role in the Negaverse? What do you think would make you a better Officer?

My role is to use my skills to benefit the Negaverse so that Negaverse as a whole can complete its goals of protecting the citizens from the threat posed by the White Moon.

As part of this I need to work on my fighting skills.

Reinerite had hesitated on adding the last line to the quizz, her hand tightening on the biro briefly - however she had come to the conclusion, particularly following her performance at the Negaverse Tournament that she needed to work on her fighting skills.

She gathered her notes and the biro and stepped up to the front with the completed test and handed in the paper.

"Thank you for today's class Sir, it has been very useful" because whilst some things had already been covered in part by the Information and Infiltration meetings, the session had left her with things to think about.

Reinerite stepped away with the intention of looking to find someone who could assist her in getting back to Destiny City, knowing that she was already looking forward to the next session.
