Larrimore would arrive on the scene, Chesnaught following behind. This was the first Safari Contest he had ever been in so this was all a little new to him.

[Main Area - Center Forest]

"Oh! Watch out for that Venipede!" she warned her Porygon that passed the insect on the tree. It was almost hidden in the shade, but the digital Pokemon had seen it. Alex eyed the bug as they walked by it, the bug doing the same.

[Main Area – Center Forest]

As Ryan and Graft approached the big bend in slow meandering river, Ryan's target would hop right in front of them: a Froakie. Ryan grins at his luck and then turns to Graft. "Get in there with Astonish!" Ryan orders.

As Graft closes the distance, the Froakie spots him. It turns, reaches into it's beard, and tosses out a barrage of sticky bubbles. One smacks Graft square between the eyes and halts his attack.

Ryan consults his pokedex for answers regarding this bizzare attack. "So those bubbles it produces are called Frubble and are not a standard move? Lovely." Ryan mutters, exasperated by this turn of events.

As Ryan looks up, the Froakie attacks Graft with Bubble. But this was luck in Ryan's favor. Graft's Dry Skin would absorb the water and clean off the Frubble, much to the Froakie's dismay.

Ryan would not waste this opportunity. "Graft, Feint Attack!" the channeler orders. Graft would shift in close to the Froakie, then strike it with the shadowy attack. This would send the Froakie spinning, but it was not beat yet.

The Froakie pops up and unleashes another barrage of frubble, this time snaring Graft's feet, then barrels in for a Tackle. "Don't struggle and go with it! When it get's close, use Sucker Punch!" Ryan explains to Graft. Graft settles, then waits. Just as the froakie is about to land the tackle, Graft nails it with the Sucker Punch, sending the froakie reeling backwards.

Somehow, the froakie wills it's self upright, despite trembling like crazy. This was one headstrong pokemon! Ryan grabs one of the Safari Balls and tosses it at the froakie.

"Aha! Wait, no it's an Aipom..." Alex sighed, seeing the monkey moving about in the trees above. Where did it run off to? She wasn't even sure if she was still on its trail.

"I'm looking for a blue Pokemon. Its sparkly in the sunlight and kind of like a squiggly thing. You seen it?" she asked the Treecko on the bark. The gecko looked at her, blinking before going back to climbing. "Agh! Well thanks a lot!"

Entering the Safari Zone's gatehouse, Kaya quickly registered himself along with his Sylveon as his partner. He had heard that Dragons could be found here lately and there was one he'd always wanted to try and catch. As soon as he was registered, he quickly exited the building and headed out to the riverside. The Pokemon he sought after today was known to live in and around bodies of water.

The real question presented was: Would he be able to find it?

Seeing the Surskit knocked out cold, a Goldeen below the water's surface came up to investigate. Was it dead? Was this a free meal? It looked like it was certainly about to take a bite out of the Bug-type when it finally took notice of the company on shore. Thinking the Sylveon and "human" has come to take it's meal away, it fired a beam of spiraling red and green energy at them from the tip of it's horn.

Serena took it as a challenge rather than a warning and her fur began to rise on it's ends before Kaya called out to her. "Don't use that move again. Please?" He almost begged. He hated to see her this way and just wanted to see the Sylveon recovered and back to her old self. "Please, use Swift instead." He asked of his partner. Reluctantly, she acquiesced and flexed her ribbons, sending several star-shaped beams flying out from them, though they carried with them a hint of shadowy light as they homed in on Goldeen.

The Goldfish Pokemon used Dive to evade the attack, returning to the surface with a violent explosion of water as it breached the surface and came sailing through the air like an elegant plastic bag, fins blowing gracefully in he wind as it soared towards land, horn first. It's intent had been to use it's horn to focus and increase the damage of the Dive attack but it missed by a few inches and succeeded only in getting Serena's fur wet and annoying the Fairy fox.

"I say we leave it." Kaya said as he turned to look down the riverside, preparing to begin walking away from the gatehouse and deeper into this jungle. As he began to walk, he missed Serena using her Fairy Wind to both damage the Goldeen flopping uselessly on land and push it back into the water. No point making it die like that, right? Where was the honor in that kind of victory? Or that kind of defeat, for that matter.

That same Treecko soon returned, climbing back down the tree and looking the girl in the face. "Treecko!" it shouted, pointing in the direction behind her. Beaming the girl quickly took off in that direction.
