"As we've been moving towards summer, it seems like this place is moving towards the cooler months." Jeremiah raised his head up to look at the cloudy sky, blinking away a couple rain drops before he lowered his head back down and looked at Shun. "The rain here in March was warmer than this now."

He shook his head because there was so much about this place that was contradictory.

"While I am thinking about it, there are a handful of places that are ... nothing like their counterparts in Ashdown."

"Inverted is more likely, this place never seems like it is in sync with the outside world." Jeremiah's eyes were no longer focused on Shun, constantly moving around and looking. "The library, for one, is like the inside of an old castle once you get inside it - if you can, the doors don't always open.

"You can see the sky through the cracks in the stone and it's bright blue sky. The doors don't lead to the same rooms and there's," he let out a breath, snorting and shooting Shun a brief look, "screaming. Not that I was ever able to find whatever was making the noise. You can get lost in there before you realize it and I don't advise going there unless you have a reason."

"No, not constant. It was where I spent most of my time when I was stuck here." Food for thought that Jeremiah had put up with a place that made little to no sense and had screaming as background noise. "Faint, sometimes louder if I went deeper into the library. It sounded human but one can argue that the more you are here, the more you become a part of this, the less human you become."

So whatever it was that was in there may not even be human anymore.

"Ah, you should also be mindful of books and documents while here. It's not guaranteed but sometimes they will show you things if you handle them."

"When I say show, Kuroda, I mean show. As in you will find yourself living out a memory or a vision of some sort. Not every book does it but some of them can and you should be mindful." Especially considering they had all, those that had been there in March, been privy to the experience of Heliodora's foot being cut off.

Jeremiah's attention was flicking back and forth between Shun and their surroundings. "I'm looking for an exit while we're walking. I can see the places where the veil is thin to get out or to get in. It's just a matter of finding it." A hand was raised to rub at his eyes a moment before it fell back to his side. They were heading towards the direction of the college now and that reminded him ...

"The college is missing here; not just a different but missing."

"A field. An empty field." Jeremiah pointed a direction down towards where it would be if they got that far. "You can't even cross into it, there's some kind of barrier that keeps you out."

His head tilted to the side, pausing a moment to look down an alley they were passing. "I thought we might have been able to go there after what happened at Blackfriars but it's still inaccessible and I think that it's there, we just can't see it because something is keeping us out."

"The cause may not even be there, it could be elsewhere." Jeremiah tilted his head to signal they should walk down the alleyway. "... and there was DNA under his nails that we're still waiting to get results back." Except that there might even be a match considering he died in other ashdown.

"I find myself agreeing. It feels as someone is there watching you from the other side. The high school is also in a similar situation but you can see the building. It's completely crumbled."

"Considering that it seems like it is DNA from one individual, I would safely assume that it is whomever strangled him to death." Whomever had that kind of strength ... It was daunting, to say the least, but there were more than enough powerful beings in this place that could probably pull it off.

Shun got a hard look at the mention of the schools, his head shaking from side to side. "No, so far as I know, the other schools are as normal as they can be considering they're location here. Same with a couple of the private schools that are local."
