"Yes, Teldhet works with many organizations." It responded flatly, not really understanding why it was so terrible, but... well... No, more thought put into it lead to the conclusion that it was bad because that was where it had been acquired from, and Haven had made it the way it was... Right? Mara's next words confirmed that thought - yes... Haven had done this to it.
M̰̝ạ͖͖̱͎͓̖k̺̗̺͓̲̤̀ͅe̸̹͈̗͝ ̵͚̼͟t̹̙̜̺͎͢͜ͅh̰̪̹̳̖̦̪̰͍͟e̶̖͎͓̻͉̙m̴̡̠̼̞͈̖̩ ̵̞͙͇̗͡ͅp̯̟̘̤̻a̜̺̙̙͙͠͠y͏̛̬̜̩̯̰
Was that the same as destroying? Mara had just said that was wrong. Did it need to listen to her? Or rather, anyone that wasn't an administrator, for that matter? Did it even need administrators?
No. You don't need a n y o n e.
It remained in place as Mara pulled away, eyes flicking to the T.V. for a moment... "I am not a child, I am currently in my "teen" stage. If there is information regarding what organics consider to be right or wrong then I will look for the information online as there are many rule books available there." It nodded, not really considering the possibility of it finding less than truthful moral guides...
"I apologize for my malfunction. What is it that I may assist you with regarding the files Administrator Tri spoke of?"

Mara gave him a good look but couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic or not." Teen is still a kid ...kid. " she said with a faint smirk unable to pass up the opening. " I also wouldn't check online for any rule books. You kind of learn those lessons from your parents, the law, examples or TV ironically. " she said staring, wondering how she got into this mess of trying to teach morals to a meta who was having an identity crisis. "Better yet. How about you actually ask Tri or Ree? Tri is preferable if you have any questions of that sort. " she suggested with a wince, Tri was a lot better equipped to handle those type of questions. Supposedly she had bad judgment when it came to what kids could or couldn't handle.
"The files? He mentioned there was one you couldn't break one without time. Think you can try now? I can get you out if things turn sour" she muttered, knowing it would be safer if she got him elsewhere to do that and really she SHOULD be letting him rest after what happened but he was asking so that said he was okay? Yes...perfectly okay.
She glanced toward the laptop with a frown and spotted the faint tattle tell bottle of meds hidden behind a lamp. . "One last question, you said Tri was injured. How badly?" Her voice soft now as she resisted the urge to go pick it up and instead clicked on one of the files dubbed mrroboto knowing who likely named that. She glanced at the files inside and opened the first one and she listened.

Anadii blinked, tilting its head slightly. "A minor, then." It supposed that was true... at least by standards of what constituted an adult. Wait... would it really be an adult when it reached its next stage? It wasn't 18 years old yet, even if physically it would be an adult... That was confusing - and not something it needed to think about at the moment. When did it get so prone to wandering off topic?
You changed.
"Very well. I will ask Administrator Tri about these things." Well... maybe, if he was around. Tri seemed to be absent most of the time so far - but Mara had said that was changing.. "Yes, the file titled Breakdown Protocol is a high security file. I could attempt to open it this time if you would like." It shifted to a nearby chair, since it would have to activate its virtual reality power to do this...
"Administrator Tri was taken to a hospital in Khares and stayed almost overnight until his condition improved. He lost a lot of blood due to a gunshot wound. He has been sluggish, I have advised that he not expend too much energy until he has fully recovered."

"........I am sure he has taken you advise under consideration and threw it out a window, and if he didn't I will throw him out one for not telling me" she growled softly as she scanned the files pausing to look up at Anadii carefully, so this is what being stonewalled looks like. She was used to it on Tri and Ree but she at least knew how to read them Anadii was different and that worried her.
"Please attempt to open it, I guess they might need it at the meeting" she muttered tapping the keyboard hard. Hospital, over night and gunshot wounds? She would be hearing about this soon enough..or not. They should have told her!
Shaking her head she focused on the files, scanning through them with a continuous frown that only got deeper. "These guys love their computer code..." She muttered eyeing the Code Ash file with her name on it and frowning at the breakdown sequence. "Wait a second. If you fail...just keep trying until you get it or you set them off. We're really going to need that file " she hissed moving to the next one. "Come on Kae...you didn't know about this?" she muttered with a sigh and flicker of guilt, she had been keeping an eye out for Kae but the only thing she got was the large announcement the Renegades did in Norcrest. That was different...it also confirmed what Tri told her..that Kae was still with them.

Anadii blinked, tilting its head to one side. "Advice cannot be thrown out of a window, it is not a physical item. Throwing Administrator Tri out of a window could prove fatal if done high enough as I do not think he is capable of flight at the moment." Why would she want to do that?? It didn't make any sense... "Very well, I will attempt to access Breakdown Protocol. In order to make things easier, I will need to enter my virtual reality." It nodded to the other laptop-- Ree's? sitting nearby.
"I will return when I have either alerted Haven to my activities, or have accessed the file." It then did its usual pixelly disappearance into the laptop, fading from view for about twenty minutes before it returned in the same spot looking a little... tired? Maybe? Something seemed off about its glow...
"I was unable to access the file in four attempts. They will notice my presence soon and from now on I will have an even harder time communicating with the security system on the file, as I cannot use my virtual reality any longer. Would you like me to proceed?" It spoke in its usual monotone, perhaps a little slower than usual...
[x4 uses of Virtual Reality + Technokinesis resulting in 22, 23, 24, 22. Needs 32+ to access the file.]

"I'm being sarcastic because he can be such a pa- uh ... okay i'll be um here?" she said surprised, not sure what he meant by virtual reality other than it has something to do with games and feeling like you're inside of a program?
Mara stared in alarm as Anadii disappeared in a flow of pixelized light. "...... " she shook her head, why was the evidence of technology being a similar thing to shadows and light so odd? "because it is odd" she grumbled to herself staring at Ree's computer for a bit longer before glancing down at Tri's computer again and continuing where she left off, with frequent glances toward the other computer.
She jerked upright when the light caught her eye, staring again as it reformed into Anadii looking pretty much the same way he went in. "No! don't proceed. It's important but not -that- important. Take a break... are you sure they didn't notice you trying to access the file during those 4 times? " she muttered looking nervous now.

Anadii shook its head, fully leaning back in the chair as its sensors alerted it that its body was in need of a rest. "No, they did not notice me. After I have had a proper rest cycle I may attempt again." It nodded a little, then rested its head against the seat back of the chair. "In the meantime is there anything else that I may assist you with?"

Mara relaxed. "Good. Just rest until they come back... or TV.... or Belosh rights" she smirked but it quickly faded as she watched him closely then looked back down at the computer. Well they won't get that file open before they come back. hopefully it isn't something they need right that minute. Also Haven... hahahahaha donotwantmuchleswithAnadiiintheirgrasp.
"....or anything that won't make you crash like before" she said maybe a bit to bluntly, she was like that when she didn't need to be careful...moving back to how it was when she was int hat group a long long time ago.

Anadii blinked slowly, then nodded a little. "Very well, I will look into Belosh rights for now." It wasn't really interested in T.V., for whatever reason. But it would likely have to move to Belosh eventually, so it might as well start researching whether or not it actually could. It doubted it could keep moving around like it had been the past few days for the rest of its life. It would give out eventually- and by then..?
Do not let them catch you.
It closed its eyes, almost seeming to fall asleep as it settled in to start researching. The only real thing that seemed to indicate that it was still awake was the occasional flash of its markings as it downloaded files and made notes to ask questions about later.
Look at your file.
She said not to do anything that might prompt a system failure...
Then don't f a i l.
It opened its eyes, contemplating... "I have a question." It lifted its head to stare at Mara, waiting for permission to ask before doing so...

All these notes about retraining and no mention of her commands, unless those were in the secure file? That makes sense or they were actually torturing her every time they needed to retrain her. She stared quietly at the screen and felt a large amount of pity for Hexxis, and literally any meta that had to go through those research centers, even the one the Renegades showed in TV earlier.
"Hm?" Mara blinked and looked away from the screen over to Anadii who looked like he was relaxing other than he was still sitting. "What is it?" She muttered curiously, leaning back against the headboard that she moved to earlier.

You do not need permission to look at your own files anymore.
"Is it a symptom of being organic to hear someone speaking in your mind?" It tilted its head, blurting out the question as soon as she'd given it permission. "I do not recall hearing this in the past, but shortly before Teldhet moved headquarters I began to hear it and it has gotten worse over time." Hopefully this was making sense... It didn't know how else to describe the voice it was hearing.

Mara paled and slowly put the computer on the bed as she stood up reaching out for the shadows in the room but not pulling at them. "Voices? No...that's not common at all. What does this voice say? " she asked evenly, all hint of relaxation gone as she stared at him ready to move. Just her luck....why were almost all the metas she meet haunted by either a mane or a malice?

She is preparing to attack you.
She is Administrator Ree and Tri's parental unit, she would not do that...
W̲̬̠͉o͔̤̬̞̗̫͝u̧͈̳̲͠͠l̷̛̖̩̪̰̝̫̪͟d̙̦͚͕̗̀̕ ̤̹̭̫̙s̳̲̱̼h҉̯̭e̷̦͘?͏̤̘̰̯̀͟
It blinked, watching her move from the bed to a standing position... had the question really been that strange? Was it experiencing even more malfunctions? Perhaps a bug in its code that was acting on its own... It would need to do a full scan later.
It is not a bug.
"Just one voice. It responds primarily to statements made by others, or interrupts my processes with second-guesses. It has primarily been stating that I should continue looking through my own personal files, but I have not. It is usually easy to ignore." It tilted its head slightly, thinking on how to describe it...
"When we were speaking before about elimination, it was quite loud and insistent that I do unto them what was done unto me. It particularly seems agitated by talk of Haven."
Stop. You have it all wrong. You are saying it all w r o n g.

Mara frowned, that description didn't fall into either mane or malice catagory. Well...it could..maybe a mane? But then reacted to elimination and to do what was done to him....sounded like mane. "Does the voice have a name? Can you ask if it does?" she asked carefully, watching him.

It nodded, then because it really didn't know a better way to do it, spoke: "What is your name?" It was trained to do that, after all. Computers didn't have thoughts-
I̷̛͕̥͢ ̥͈̯̖̥̞͈̱a̰̳͇ṃ̳̜͓ ̹̣̪y̴̮͈͇̖̣̟̟̞̻͢o̧̪͓u̡͔͎̬̯͘͢.
It frowned just slightly, remaining silent as it waited for it to give more of a response than just 'I am you,' because that clearly didn't make any sense. It was itself - ...wasn't it?
"It is not stating a name." It turned its gaze to Mara, blank and unreadable as usual despite the slight inner turmoil. "I would not know what to call it, it speaks in the same voice that I speak in, but it cannot be me, I am me."
