"With my feet planted firmly upon the lands of those who came before, I seek to create a better tomorrow for those who are yet to come..."It was in his DNA to move forward with the most strategic moves in a time that was as serious as this one; he, like his father before him, had learned to anticipate many things, to play the odds, and to never allow himself to be surprised by what might come during the ongoing struggle. Anything that took you by surprise was your own fault for not having foreseen the possibility sooner. Anything that shocked you was an opportunity to learn and add information to your database on your enemies so that it never happened again, that you had more accurate predictions in the future. But there was one person that he had known who could always throw a wrench into his predictions in a way that nobody else could. Somebody that he had a hard time predicting, anticipating, and who always had a way of taking him by surprise. And that person was the pink-haired girl following behind him down the stairs, holding onto his hand, and again...taking him somewhat by surprise when she commented offhandedly in the middle of the freaking Apocalypse that his serious expression was actually kind of hot.
He actually managed to double-take and lock his eyes onto her for a moment as if to confirm that she had actually said what she said, and once he was certain of it, he forced down the smirk that curled at the corner of his lips and shook his head in amusement. "Focus, Sera. We can talk about sex later," he quipped easily, still on the top of his game despite the distraction. Little moments like that had such a way of providing levity and keeping him from sinking into that emotionless hole that his father could get into when he was truly working hard to anticipate and plan his next moves. It was just another reason why he loved her...and why the cat on his shoulder shifted and glared at her faintly as she teased him, as if warning her not to get any funny ideas (probably because of the whole they could die, thing. Probably.).
Saying nothing more than that, he nodded when she agreed and pushed the door open a crack, peering out to ensure the way was safe before stepping past her into the alley...making short work of a horde of lesser demons in the alley before slipping down another back road smoothly. Was he sure that going to his father was the right move? Well...nothing was a hundred percent. But nothing was right now. This was the lesser of evils, in his mind...the smart play. And he wouldn't risk the lives of the three of them on anything less but the option with the best chance for survival.
"It is the most likely chance for survival I can think of right now" he told her simply, "And even if he has left the Estate, the Capitol should provide secure locations and rooms we can hole up for a while to avoid the worst of the infestation. Provided they aren't overrun or claimed by the devils already, that is. ...In that case, we may have to make a combat escape. ...Be ready."Quote: 16 Tokens

Well I happen to know a fantastic storywriter..."As he was on his way out of Akihabara, he had noticed that he was confronted with the forerunners of Lucifer's army. Normally within his flight attitude within such situations, he tried to move himself out of the situation. However, he wasn't aware until now that his powers were unavailable. And with that, he immediately took an executive decision and sacrificed his Preta so that way he could live another day "What do you mean you don't see them? Sera Makushima  Sera laughed, unable to keep a serious face the way he just looked at her with those unbelieving eyes. He had such pretty eyes... "Who said anything about sex, Koichi?" she answered playfully, turning to give a little glare back to the cat for a moment (that creature was so possessive, she couldn't even tease her boyfriend a little). "I know I can get a little crazy with the whole 'let's try new places' and such, but this would be suicide! Imagine it!" again, the girl smirked and patted him on the shoulder as she passed, turning to look back at him with a mirthful smile.
She knew this was dangerous. This was no playground... just like home had not been a walk through a park. They needed to focus or they would end up death. Sera wasn't overconfident...and she wasn't careless on her actions... and she knew Koichi would be there to reel her back in whenever she got out of line. They were good for each other... she just knew they would get out of here alive.
"Yes, it is true. The Palace would be a good place to stay, even if we don't find anyone there. I hope he is there, though." He probably missed his father. Maybe Koichi wasn't one to show sentimentality like that, but... deep down she knew what it must have been like. She also missed her family. It had been rough for all of them... It did seem that most of his abilities were non-present, but still held some strength with the demon he held. So, with having established such, it would be best to have only a sub-par demon, one strong enough to help him survive yet weak enough to not let him be noticed. "What do you mean you don't see them? The way that she teased him and played around with him was enough to make him nearly break out into a smirk all over again, but he kept his focus for the moment and simply stored away some of her comments to bring up later, to tease her in return, and perhaps scold her if it became necessary. But he doubted that last one. They were a good balance, after all, and she knew better than to push him too far when he was in the middle of trying to find ways to keep the three of them alive and all. Still, it was impossible not to quip back at her a little bit as they moved through the skinniest alley that he could find, dark and removed from the main passages through the city. "I'm trying not to imagine it, thank you," he smirked over his shoulder faintly, before returning his eyes forward, not wanting to miss even an instant of reaction time if things should threaten to go south. They were accosted by a small group of Preta on the way into the alley, but he had dealt with them in short order and now found them mostly untouched, slowly sneaking towards the much-less-covert center of Tokyo.
He knew that if they could make it to the Imperial Estate, they would have to cover a fair amount of ground out of cover and hope not to encounter anything especially dangerous. It would be safer to try and night, but they needed to be inside by the time that the sun set or they were going to have legitimate issues. And there were plenty of demons that were actually more active and better hunters in the dark. No, they needed to keep moving. It was still a long trek, but they could make it if they were smart. He was sure of that...
"Well, it may prove to be less complicated if he isn't. But I am confident I can talk him into granting us sanctuary even if he is. If there is anyone who will put together the pieces on who we are and how we got here fast enough to be of use to us, it would be him. My father is a remarkable man...for all the faults he may have had in this time."Quote: 11 Tokens

Sera Makushima The Palace was far away, she knew. And Sera sobered up, clearing her throat lightly and nodding to herself. They could tease and play when they were safe inside the the Palace. Then she wouldn't hold back...For now though, demons were all around them, and they needed to focus, to survive. Still, the pinkette leaned up and pressed a little kiss to his cheek, a promise they would be alright. "I will behave, I promise."
She followed behind him, her eyes turning all around them, in search of anything that might ambush them. Pretas were after them, but they had been able to get out of there mostly unscratched. There was no rest for them though... they had gotten away from the demons, when a group of Nekomata appeared before them. Cats. It had to be cats.
Another demon noticed her reaction and slip in, offering help. Sera shivered again, the feeling of something inside her, controlling her...feeling the power surging through her. Her eyes glowed and she smirked...her fists tightening. In a flash she had darted towards the demons...and her attacks were vicious.

"Phew..that was easier than I thought." she thought to herself lightly, as she started around the ruins of Tokyo...before seeing it.
A head of silver, and a head of brown. The silver, collapsed overtop the brunette. That little ribbon gave her the only cue she needed, as she dashed over to the two.
"Konpaku! Nekura-Senpai!"

"Ah..?!" he called out in surprise..Before a familiar lime haired girl dog-piled him with the silverette. There was definitely some kind of crunching...Though, he suspected it belonged to the demon that tried to get back up from it's previous attack...And, as such..He didn't worry.
"E..Ellie..!" he choked out, under the two girls. "You're...You're alive..! And..And..okay..! And.."
He blushed deeply...Though, rather it was from shock the girl he was in love with had tackled him so affectionately..Or, that he was buried under two cute girls. It was hard to say....But, eventually, he'd nudge her off, a million questions in his mind...But, the easy one rifling off.

"Zhen...Kodama..let's do this." the purple haired cyborg called, gesturing her two demons along. One of them would attack from the left....Then, the other from the right. When the demons went to split their focus between them...
'SPLAT
That's when she went in with her own bludgeoning weapon, cleaning up the stragglers. It wasn't the most..honorable of ways to fight, but it got results. And, even with her lower leveled demons..She could still feel confident in handling them.

Saiga GirikoSaiga had finally found a moment to herself..and she was making the most of it. She slumped back against a wall, relaxing her body as she thought about the girl that she'd met...and how she'd saved her before. She'd been so close to death, but the underclassman with the sword..
"Konpaku, huh?" she called to herself, letting herself lightly drift off to sleep, as her demons started to combine their energy, becoming a new being entirely. "I'll..need to keep my eyes forward, to catch her I feel."
