Hirsch frowned in confusion as the armored teacher questioned the group. He flicked his ears. The meaning? "Um...something about war, right?" he asked, feeling rather dumb after saying that. Welp, might as well keep going. "About war being brutal and stuff?" Yeah, probably not an A+ right there. He'll leave the literature stuff to Eva next time. She seemed to be smarter on that end.
His ears twitched again as soon Yoru, the headmaster, arrived. Was this about teams? He couldn't help but bounce a little in excitement. He beamed as he realized he was on the same team as Eva and Lance. Well, they were both pretty cool, and the fight with them was pretty good. They'd make a great team! And having Garnet, though they didn't really have an idea of how they were going to meld, would be beneficial, too.
Hirsch turned to give Eva a high-five. "Awesome! We should start to work on a communication system right away, so you can give us orders, huh boss?" He said the last bit teasingly, elbowing her arm. "You're gonna be great!"

≺Vanora would watch, listening carefully as she analyzed each student. It was a hobby and valuable skill she had picked up during her time in Atlas. Being able to read the people around would give them an advantage. Her sharp gaze drifted over each of them, nodding promptly as each of them spoke. It would take a moment to properly sort the information in her head, but for the most part, Vanora gained a slightly better grasp on the seven before her. However, before she would reintroduce herself in a more proper manner, a voice echoed through the hall, reciting a poem. Her former boss would stop beside her and ask for the author of the poem she had recited. Vanora would smile encouragingly when one of the students was able to correctly name the poet. She gave the girl a subtle smile in praise. As Madam Cobolt continued, Yoru and Lance had also entered, and Vanora's gaze would slightly when she noticed Zack was absent. Perhaps something came up, though it wasn't her concern. She refocused her attention on Yoru and the students, listening as he assigned their teams. She reached a gloved hand up and rubbed her chin as she pondered how they would learn to work together. "Bravo, indeed." Nora said, clapping softly for the students. She looked forward to watching them struggle and overcome the obstacles in their unforeseen futures. ≻
『He frowned when the person up front asked for significance. Garnet wanted to tell them that it sounded like a glorification of soldiers and their unfortunate lives, but he dared not open is mouth to answer. Especially when two more men entered the room, though one seemingly just appeared behind the other. Their presence made him shift uncomfortably while he listened to the one from the forest as he spoke.
A look of betrayal flickered in Garnet's eyes as he glance up at the man who had just assigned him to a team. Eva, she was fine, and Garnet wouldn't have many problems with Hirsch, if any, but Lance... Oh, how he had hoped for anyone but him. The boy hadn't given the best impression, but it was too early to judge a book by its cover, so Garnet shook his head, trying to clear his mind of such negative thoughts. He would give him a chance, at the very least...』
Leo would move his arm to glance at Lady Cobolt as she addressed him, reaching out to catch the vial. Inspecting it quietly, he would remember it as a 'cureall' that was commonly used in Atlas. It would, indeed, take care of the pain, but the nausea, sensitivity to stimuli, and general weakness would remain. Drinking the medicine quickly, he could feel the pain slowly start to recede. Getting to his feet slowly, he would use Unity Concordia as a support until he was solidly on his feet and stable. “Apologies, this condition is sporadic at best, so I was not able to anticipate having an episode at such an... inconvenient of a moment. I will properly explain things to them at the right time and place.” With a deep breath, he would calm himself before speaking again.
“The poem, to what I understand it to be, is to serve as a warning. The path that we are to embark on is one that we should not take lightly. We will be able to make many close bonds, but there will be loss as well.” Leo would say in a clear voice, the medicine allowing him to think a bit easier than before. It was then that the headmaster came into the room, accompanied by another behind him, announcing the teams that they would be working with for the foreseeable future. Turning slightly to look at Lilian and Marten, he would do his best to give them a warm smile without letting his condition seem too obvious to them. “Looking forward to working with you two...” He would say with sincerity before looking back to the instructors, waiting to see what they had to say next.

Eva blushed slightly as Lance praised her for knowing the answer, smiling at him before looking back to the teacher. She was a bit confused about the question behind the meaning of the poem since there were many ways to interpret such things but it seemed like they'd been distracted by Leo, offering him something that she didn't recognize but was curious to look up later when she had the time.
Yoru's entrance was rather surprising, though she supposed he just wanted to be dramatic. She was somewhat startled to realize she'd be the leader for one of the teams, biting her lip nervously before smiling shyly at her new teammates and accepting Hirsch's high-five. "Thank you. I hope that I can live up to your expectations."
She turned to Garnet, nervous since he looked somewhat uncomfortable and unhappy. "I look forward to working with you Garnet. I think it might take some time for us to all get used to one another but I think we can work together if we all try. We're a team so if you feel like you're having trouble talk to us about it, okay?"

Walking back to her employed teacher from atlas, she scanned the students once again. Her attention shot towards Hirsch as he hesitantly spoke up. When he tried a second time, Rosa couldn't help but let out a soft chuckle as she spoke. "Close, true war is hard, among other things.....But not quite." She then looked over to Leo who seemed to take the temporary remedy. She raised her right brow to see how formal he was being. And had to give him praise for showing such determination. "Young man, you owe no apology. Just be sure to be honest with yourself, and your teammates...." She said rather calmly. And when he answered her question, again, Rosa was impressed. So his teacher taught him well or perhaps this student learned more on his own? Either way, Rosa clapped her hands for only a short period.
"Color me impressed." She started out while lowering her hands back behind her, holding her hand in hand. "It's important to never take such literature so lightly, there is deep meaning behind each word spoken. I highly advise that everyone take your words, and the meaning behind them to heart. Even our greatest huntsmen give out speeches. To the daft, it's only words, but to those who can feel it's empowerment, can do greater things......Words are powerful." She ended with a solemn tone of voice.
She believed that it was not only prowess that helped win each war, but the encouragement with each speech that helped boost her solders moral, that pushed them to keep going, even in the darkest of days- They. Saw. Light! She will never forget everyone who fought bravely in each war, she remembers everyone's name, and reminds everyone that they did not die in vain......However, When the Beacons headmaster arrived, she turned her attention really quick, and saw his pet at his side. Aka the other Masked person other than herself. She noticed his demeanor when she was around, and cared not for it.
She knew most of the other headmasters and mistresses mistake her appearance as intimidating or superior, when in truth, she is not even trying to do either. She is acting according to her position. She is how she was raised. Though Rosa found it rather a nuisance when people misunderstand her posture as such, she would not bother correcting them, she saw no point to. Either way, Rosa placed her left hand to the right shoulder of Vanora, and leaned in some. "It is good to see you." She whispered to her before re fixing her posture.

Lance returned Eva's smile, and moved his attention to the armored person. He listened at the lecture, and thought best to keep that in mind. The new comer may have a point, after all their forefathers before them held great speeches of encouragement to which boosted everyone's moral, and helped win many wars of the centuries. When the headmaster and his shadow? appeared in the room, he already figured he was going to be paired up with Eva and Hirsch, which made sense, however, Garnet. Did they meet yet? Lance looked around till he notice a rather cold shoulder directed towards him. Ah, that must be him. He thought to himself.
Not taking it personally or to heart, Lance looked in Garnets direction, and raised his right hand to him, as his form of greeting. "Yo.." He said rather plainly. Hearing Hirsch over joyed being paired up, he looked back down to Eva and him with the same old blank expression. When Eva stated her uncertainty about the leadership position, he smiled softly to her, hoping it would provide some form of comfort. "You'll do just fine...." He reassured her.

Lilian watched Garnet introduce himself, and gave off a small smile. In her head she was cheering him on for being brave to talk in front of everyone like that, unlike her, where she was SUPER shy. Her attention shifted to Leo, and saw something wasn't right, call it instinct if you will, but before she would ask if he was okay, a new body appeared. One made of armor, male or female? Lilian tried to sniff the persons scent, but quickly covered her nose as metal blood reeked through her nostrils. This armored figure was intimidating, but something about the person came off as Prim-and-Proper type. Like most wealthy individuals do, but not snobby in any way or posh...Just....formal?
Lilian lowered her hand as the poem was recited, and a question was asked. She had NO idea what was being explained or talked about, and knew that the poem itself sounded pretty, but sad at the same time. When Eva spoke, Lilian let out a soft sigh in relief that she didn't have to answer. Yet, the armored person asked yet another question, to which the poor Faunus saw Leo collapse. "Le-!!" Lilian cried out but was cut off when the armored woman spoke. Lilian placed, and held her hands to the center of her chest, as if waiting in anticipation.
When Leo made his small recovery, and replied to the new comer's question, Lilian hurried to his side, and offered help of support to him. "Leo....." She whimpered, wondering if he would be alright. The young girl removed her gaze from Leo, and watched as the headmaster of Beacon and his comrade following behind, finally appear, and stated their teams. She was happy to be paired with Leo.....but in all honesty, she really had hopped her brother would have made it in time, and be paired with just him. She gave off a weary smile, as she did her best to not dwell on the issue.
Looking over to Garnet, she felt his uneasiness with Lance, and offered a sly smile in his direction. It sucks that he has to be on a team he is unsure on rather he'll like or not, but at least he's on a full team nonetheless, and with another Faunus so he would feel excluded to the team. Though, a random thought from the back of her head resurfaced. It was the expression in those eyes of Garnets. They were so beautiful that it even made Lilian lightly blush. She then remembered hearing his teasing about Leo earlier, and only now realized, that her supporting hand was placed on his exposed chest.
Lilian Quickly removed herself from him with her face steaming with red. "S-Sorry! I didn't mean to! I-I mean! W-Well!" Lilian was fiddling with her fingers trying to explain that she meant to be of help to him but didn't mean to touch him inappropriately as she thought she had. She then took her left hand and slapped herself as hard as she could to snap herself out of it and held her hands behind her with a nervous laugh.
"I Mean! I'm happy to have you as leader! Hahaha!" She tried her best to mask her embarrassment and small tears from the stinging sensation from her cheek. Lilian perked her ears and turned her attention back to Martin. She hurried over to his side, and quickly bowed to him. "I almost forgot to thank you for the candy!" Which she already did but forgot that she did. "And I look forward to working with you!" She added while straightening her posture once more.
Though it did concern her to know who the mysterious member would be to join their team later......Hopefully another girl, she kinda felt bad for Eva to be the only one on her team. Lilian was jealous of Eva's beauty, but only found it amusing to think that the guys might even fight over her. To this thought alone, she chuckled.
Hirsch flicked his ears in response to the armored teacher's response. Well, at least he was kind of right. He listened to the teacher carefully as they advised really listening to others. Well, that was going to be some good advice. It never hurt.
Hirsch smiled at Eva as well. "Yeah, you'll do fine." he said. "Besides, you have Lance as a partner, and you guys seem to get along fine." He didn't tread towards the 'item' statement that he had suggested earlier. That resulted in him being picked up like a rag doll. He wasn't having none of that.
He looked over at Garnet. Another giant. Great. He held out his hand up to him, feeling his already short stature being dwarfed by the other students around him. "Hirsch Lightfoot. Nice to meet ya, partner!" he greeted, smiling. He looked back at Lance, then up at Garnet. His face turned serious. "Quick word of advice: pick me up, and I'll kill you." He smiled again. "Okay?"

Lance stood forward from behind Yoru, he thought he might awsell throw in his 2 cents into the ceremony. "Listen up students, I would suggest not to take these teams lightly. You will have to rely on eachother to survive and evolve into Remnants next generation of Huntsmen and Hutresses. The journey will be rough but the outcome will be worth it." began to speak to all of the students. The mask slightly distorting his voice but everyone should of been able to hear him clearly. "Your time here at Beacon should be spent honing your skills and becoming stronger. But this should also be some of the best years of your lives. Don't take anything for granted, and I will hope to see you all in class very soon" he said before standing back. He knew the importance of the teams better than anyone and it would be a shame to see any of these new teams break apart. The times ahead were going to be difficult. Lance felt sorry for these kids when the peace times would end and potential chaos spread across the land.

≺Vanora always enjoyed watching the students interact with one another. These times of excitement gave her hope that their future would not be terribly grim, despite knowing the fate of most in their line of work would suffer. She had seen it many times, as one does not forget such things easily, if at all, and Nora rarely forgot anything. It made her wonder if her former teammates was still alive and well, though it was unlikely. Still, small moments like these warmed her heart.
The feeling of a hand upon her shoulder would snap her from this daze, however, as she turned a smiling glance to the woman. "Ah, likewise, Madam Cobolt." Nora nodded and spoke in a low tone. "I have been away from home for so long that it's refreshing to be met with such a famliar presence as yours, my lady." She would return her gaze forward, arms folded. 'Though, I wish it were under better circumstances, as you being called here cannot be good...' She thought with small hum. That reminded her of her next objective: finding out answers.≻
『Garnet fiddled with his necklace and nodded in response to Lance. Hearing Eva tell him she hoped they would be a team, Garnet rubbed his arm with a small sigh before he looked to her with an apologetic half smile. "I-I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude or anything. I'm just- It's not-... Working with you all will take some getting used to. I've never really been part of something like this..." He said softly. "Just going by what I saw before I fell, I'm sure you'll be a great leader."
Garnet's eyes drifted to Hirsch as he spoke to him. "Right. I'm not really the touchy-feely type, so no worries there... Partner." He said, absently nodding. Partner... The word sounded so alien to him. Garnet had always worked alone, even when he was with Cliff. He supposed that it would take some getting used to... He hoped. The masked man's words would only help solidify his resolve to make this work.』

He freezes when the new teacher walks in. He instantly recognized Madame Cobolt. But he had never expected to see her after he left Atlas Academy. When she spoke Marten had flashbacks to his initiation at Atlas. She did the same thing, always a different poem with a much deeper meaning than anyone in the area knows. Marten was about to say something, but other students spoke up before he had a chance.
Marten gave some small nods, smiling at the other responses. When Madame Cobolt finally acknowledges the others answer, Marten chuckles under his breath. Marten jumps slightly when the other Headmasters join, recognizing Yoru of Beacon. He tilts his head while Yoru names out the teams, frowning when the fourth member of his team is mentioned as joining them later. Marten nods to Leo and then smiles at Lilian when she thanks him for the candy. "There's no reason to thank me. I always carry some kind of candy and snack stuff on me. I have a huge sweet tooth, plus I know how it feels to be hungry and just need the edge off. If you have a specific type that you like, let me know and I will bring it with me. Same to you bossman." The last comment was directed at Leo, Marten deciding to give his team leader a nickname in the same vein as Leo giving him one. Stats:
Yoru watched as the students all mingled with each other and smiled to see them all getting along. But when he noticed Leo looking unwell he would motion to Chrissy to follow him. Upon walking over to the lad he took a deep breath as he knew that he would have to get this over sooner or later. So placing his hand on both Leo and Chrissy he concentrated without a word and began to summon the shadows to transport the three. Without a word to either he allowed the portal to open beneath their feet and transport them to the greenhouse.
Upon their arrival even in his weakened state Yoru quickly hobbled to the door and locked it. Looking at Chrissy as he knew Leo would probably have first time traveling sickness he sighed and looked her in the eyes, no joking or his usual carefree look but one of an all out seriousness. "Ok first of all we need to talk Chrissanthunum, but what I say here does not leave this room for any reason whatsoever, that goes for you as well Leo. There is a great evil threatening the four kingdoms, know as the four Maidens, each an embodiment of the four Seasons. We know very little about them as of now except that they are gathering. The only one I know the most about is the Spring Maiden, Rubrum Burakkudaria." He knew she would catch the last name of the maiden of Spring and would have her own questions, but he also braces for a slap.
Chrissy smiled slightly as the teams were announced, glad that Yoru made it in time to do it himself. She nodded as he motioned for her to follow him, allowing him to take her with Leo through the shadows. Softly she sighed as they settled on the other side, frowning to see how weak Yoru had become teleporting them again.
She nodded as he said that what he wanted to say was important enough not to be spread to the students, frowning as Yoru explained what was coming. Her hands settled on her hips as she glared at the Faunus slightly. "You want me to lie to my children? To hide from them what they may face one day, most likely too soon? What about Vanora? Shouldn't she be told? I don't care who this Spring Maiden is, you better not go running off to face him on your own or so help me I will make you sorry," she said loudly, not quite yelling at the man.
With a soft huff she shook her head and pushed at Yoru to make him sit before he collapsed, looking at Leo worriedly. "It's not fair to you for you to know this and have to keep it from your teammates. I can understand why it would be best to keep this from them, though I don't agree. For now, you and your teammates need your rest. I imagine you'd like to catch up with Zack too. Where is he, anyway?" She turned to Yoru expectantly, giving him another of her glares.
