How do you make sure a door opens? It hadn’t wanted to the last time. What happened if nothing was behind it? He doubted it but what if. There was likely something behind it, why have a door with nothing behind it, but he was a bit worried and nervous. Going to step out of the office he was stopped by the other who grabbed at his hand. Smiling he was going to say something, to gently tease the other again, but found his lips being taken in a kiss.

Biting his lip he shook his head. “No - you.” He answered and pet the others cheek before stepping out of the office and making his way to the door, which was next to the office door, and reached for the study handle with one hand and went to turn it. The door didn’t open and the knob didn’t turn. Maybe from disuse and how long it had been? Wrapping his other hand over the one holding the knob he tried to force it to turn and it seemed with some effort it did turn, slowly as if it didn’t want to and was exceedingly stiff and unwanting to move. Once it had turned he was able to yank on it and with much effort and yanking the door opened and almost sent the page to the ground. As it was he did stumble from the effort he’d put into pulling the door open.

Pointing his flashlight into the room he discovered not a room but a stone hallway...and an end but nothing between here and the end. “Hall to nothing..” That made no sense. So stepping down the hall, leaving the door open for Erebus, he took to feeling the walls - something had to be here...why else would there be a door and a hall? It made no sense.

Erebus couldn’t help but smile at Venice’s response as he followed the other Knight out of the office. “No, no, you’re the cute one.” He said playfully once they were back in the hall. When Venice moved to open a door and it didn’t, he figured that might be the door that the other had been talking about. He started to move to stand nearby the other man but ended up stopping before hand so he wouldn’t end up tripping up Venice more as it opened and the Page was sent stumbling. “Are you sure it is a hall and not just a long storage room then?” The Squire asked as Venice headed in past the door frame. He moved to follow, shining his own flashlight around the hallway in hopes of helping to discover why it was set up like it was.

“Maybe...small wide.” It was narrow, not a good size for a storage room unless it was just meant to hold racks of clothing but none were here - so why? Shaking his head he turned around toward the other. “Maybe...don’t know.” He sounded rather lost and confused but he did turn around and went back to feeling up and down the cobble stone wall searching for anything in case he was missing something. He didn’t want to just walk out of here, to continue searching around, without making sure there was nothing he was missing. The idea...bothered him.

As his hands moved he felt a stone...push inward? And he was sure he heard something, something faint but there, and decided to see if any other stones were loose. “Loose stones...maybe on purpose or need to fix.” He was sure he’d heard something but what he didn’t know, it could just be a loose stone but it hadn’t fallen out it had pushed inward.

Erebus watched as Venice kept searching the walls for anything hidden. He was honestly more inclined to think that the room was more than just storage but he couldn’t think of just what it might be other wise. “I’m not sure either.” He said as he scanned the walls with his flashlight. He was rather hoping that there was indeed more to the room then this if not just so Venice wasn’t disappointed. He turned his attention back to the other Knight when he spoke up again and stepped closer to see what he meant by loose stones. “So either more damage to the building or some sort of hidden feature.” He said, curiosity clear in his voice.

Nodding his head to the others words he pointed at the stone he’d pressed in. “Harry Potter…” he said nodding as he hoped the other understood what he meant. He was thinking like the brick wall but cobble stone walls instead. Either that or it was a broken wall, he was hoping it wasn’t a busted up wall that he needed to also repair. The list of repairs was already fairly long, he didn’t need a longer list.

Pressing down on stones his fingers pressed in as the stone under them pressed inward and again he heard something like a grinding sound. “Again…” he whispered and now wondering if it really might be something, driven to see if it was more than just broken stones, he started press in gin on more stones - faster as he moved about the wall. It was a few more that sunk in before he heard more and before things started to really move and the stones at the end of the wall started to move away and open up to a room that was dark.

Turning away from the left side wall, long as it was the stones he’d pressed in had been along that wall, and turned toward the opening at the end of the hall and stepped toward it. Flashlight raised he started to flick it about. Inside the darkness were chairs and a table...and a musty smell was coming from the room. Was it a living room of some sort? Living quarters…

Erebus once again found himself smiling as Venice’s words registered. “So we’re going to Diagon Alley then?” He joked as he stepped closer to hold his flashlight to shine on the wall the other was fiddling with. It wasn’t long after that when the other man noted he had found another one of the moving stones and Erebus’ eyes went from stone to stone to see if there was any visual way of knowing which would move. He couldn’t find anything that stood out but thankfully Venice seemed to be getting the hang of it and finding more and more of the loose stones. The Squire let out a soft laugh when the wall started to move then started to hum the Harry Potter theme under his breath before following Venice when he moved to the revealed room. “Well, it’s not Diagon Alley.” He said as he moved his flashlight around the room as well.

Sort of nodding he also shrugged his shoulders. “Maybe...similar…” He said looking back to the other with sort of wide eyes that just stared at the other before turning back to what lay inside the open stone doorway. Really he hadn’t had a clue which ones to press he’d just started to try them all in a rush to see what other ones would move, to see if it was a passageway or not. In his rush to try them all he hadn’t been able to see if there was a pattern but maybe there was. He could look back to the long left hand wall and see but he was too focused on inside the room.

“No...room for living.” He said stepping inside slowly and swept his light back and forth so he could see and not hit anything. The room was full of lovely, old, furniture most of which looked old and perhaps falling apart or unstable. The carpet certainly looked bad - falling apart really.

What he wasn’t expecting was to see a person, a rather see through person, sitting in a chair watching them. It was what had him jumping and stepping right back in his shock and surprise. Wide dark eyes staring at almost equally dark eyes. They were wide with long lashes framing them, fair skin but of a similar tone to his own. The male's hair, and he was sure they were male, was gray and white in places and was kept short but not too short. They were staring and seemed amused, by the smile now forming across their features, at his reaction. Saying something, something in his own language, he stared back toward Terry. “Family member?” He asked the other wanting to know. This person was clearly oriental like he was...staring he blinked once and found them wearing an even more amused smile - if that was possible.

Stepping into the room he stared, looking around, and that was when his dark eyes, and the flashlight, picked up on things that someone else might have missed or not realized what they were.

He had hummed in agreement when Venice said that they were living quarters, clearly seeing that they were indeed that. Erebus hadn’t noticed the see through man by the time the Page did so he was surprised when the other man jumped back. He immediately looked up to see what it was that startled Venice to find the smiling man in time for his boyfriend to ask if he was family. The Squire studied the ghost for a moment then nodded his head. “Yes, this is your ancestor.” He said, not sure whether to smile or frown. He didn’t know just how the other man’s ancestor was going to react to them being here but so far he looked friendly enough. His eyes glanced between the two and waiting for Venice to address the ghost before saying any more.

The confirmation, as well as the nod of the head from the spirit like figure, had a rather quick and perhaps unexpected reaction from the male. Bowing as low as he could and greeting them, though he did so in English just in case they did not know or remember Korean. He couldn’t be sure...Koreans could, and in some cases did, have ancestors from elsewhere in Asia far back. This could be a case of that, English was perhaps safer...he wasn’t sure. But he assumed since other knights spoke with their ancestor that English would be understood.

“It is an honor to meet you great ancestor.” The words were slowly spoken, making sure to carefully pronounce them so he didn’t mess up, he kept his voice even and low and it wasn’t until he was able to see feet moving that he righted himself as the figure had left its chair. Another bow and the page was introducing himself. “Kim Seung, page of Venice.” The past part the other surely knew but they didn’t know his name and that would help to separate them in any future conversations they would surely have.

Erebus kept quiet as he stood behind Venice, just watching the scene before him without interruption. While it would be polite to introduce himself, he didn’t want to interfere with the meeting. He wasn’t sure how important the first impression would be for Seung’s ancestor and he knew that the other man had been looking forward to meeting the Venice of the past. Altogether it kept the Squire from talking and made sure he was just spectating for now.

When he felt a hand on his shoulder he looked up, dark eyes meeting equally dark eyes. The man had long hair, long and steel gray with wrinkles from time spent smiling and age. He looked good dressed in the red, black, and gold which adorned his own uniform. The styles were vastly different as the others clothing was more dramatic, something he was perhaps a bit shocked to see but he hid it well enough.

Watching the other give a very short bow, as he was far from obligated to give anything more than that, the elder introduced himself than as Kim Hyeonjeong. Seung wasn’t surprised by the shared last name, not at all, and rather was more interested in the others given and generation name though he didn’t ask, as he was curious which was which and which meaning his name had. Instead he bowed his head again at the other male's introduction.

“It is an honor.” And it was as he let the other make a sweeping gesture for them to enter. “The Squire with me is Erebus of Saturn.” He had no idea if they’d known each other in ancient times, he had no possible way of knowing, and was curious about it as he watched the other man's face to see if he knew the name Erebus and knew the person who’d once been attached to the name. It didn’t seem like it though, which was perhaps a good thing...perhaps not.

“Was not thinking to see you...did not know if reborn...or coming from family tree.” Seung spoke as he took a seat slowly. The room seemed to be a long living room filled with what were once luxurious items in a mix of what you’d expect from old world Europe and what you’d see in an Asian palace with certain things being low to the ground or on the ground. Certain trinkets and other things as well.

When Venice introduced him, Erebus copied his bow to greet the Venice of the past. He had been curious as well if his past life had met Hyeonjeong but could tell just as easily as Seung that wasn’t the case. “Pleasure to meet you.” He said before falling quiet again and taking a seat next to Seung. His eyes darted around the room curiously before settling back onto the ghost. He wondered if maybe this would be a good way to learn about what the past was like since his own memories were very spotty at best, though he supposed it would depend on how the much ghost was willing to share.

“It is good to meet you Erebus, a friend of Venice.” Though it sounded as if he did question it, wondered how close they were...if there was perhaps more to it. He was an old man...he had a lot of wisdom he had racked up over all that time - he also wasn’t blind. His descendant was rather close to the other knight.

The ghostly figure managed a chuckle at the younger Venice’s comment, about not expecting to see him, and nodded his head then. “I see..and the family name has continued on and survived all this time.” He observed. The younger was a direct descendant, as far as the elder could think, as common people in his time did not have last names. To have the family name of Kim meant he was part of that clan. His own line had continued on and the boy was not from a female of his line who had married a Kim.

Nodding to the words he leaned into Erebus’ side a bit as he watched his elder, listened to him. “Yes, many have the family name Kim, as well as Park and Lee.” Seung replied and managed a smile. “It is over twenty percent of population with surname Kim.” He added with a shrug of his shoulders. “Many blood ancestors for Kim name.” He said before he fell silent for a moment. It seemed the elder understood most of what he’d said, was surprised by how many had the same last name now.

Erebus just nodded and gave a smile, not confirming nor denying whether he and Venice were just friends for now. After all he wasn’t sure how the ghost would react to that knowledge and he also didn’t know if Seung was willing to share that information anyway. As Seung and Hyeonjeong talked he found it surprising that many people in South Korea shared their last name with them. That could easily get confusing to employers who weren’t used to that type of situation he could imagine.
