Harrison sighed heavily.
"It's not as bad as it looks."
He summoned B0nez, spinning his partner before hooking him in his belt.
"It's a nice pool of water. Don't even have any tides. You go right under, and swim about 8 feet, then pop right back out again. The cave's on the other side. Then it's all walking from there. No water puzzles, no sinky things, nothing but the goddamn entrance."
Harrison walked over and pointed. "You can even see it. Water's clear and everything."

"We'll get our clothes wet?" Rodney said, asking the tough questions.
Harrison dug some large ziplocks out of his pack, and began to distribute them congenially.
"Not if you don't want to," he said, handing one to Rodney.
Rodney looked more upset by this than the prospect of wet clothes.

Rodney's words rang in his ear and Melvin stared at the water, gaze growing distant.
"Wet's not....all that bad."
He then glanced at the ziplock bag and had to bite his tongue hard.
"That's....nice - to plan ahead like that." Either way, he was changing his mind. This mission wasn't all that bad.

Lawrence shook his head. "It is certainly not a pool." If it was a swimming pool this would not be a problem in the first place, tidy, neat and square with no hidden pitfalls or dangers was fine, but a subterranean cave was not, especially one which could house any kind of dangers lurking and waiting to entrap him, pulling him down to drown in the darkness.
"Nor is it nice." he said, frowning deeply.
It was staring down potential death was all that it was and he wasn't in the mood to deal with it right now. He took the ziplock but didn't seem to register why he'd been handed it or what it was for, his thoughts somewhere far away and glazed, staring into the water. He found himself tapping it repetitively with a finger without realising he was doing it, like a reassuring and nervous tic.
Rep on the other hand had done this s**t before. He didn't like being wet and gross for a whole mission and had taken advantage of the ziplock to put his clothes in, stripping right down to nothing and zipping the bag up. He didn't give a ******** who was present, most of the people with them had seen him in the nude and he'd be the one laughing when he was warm and dry and they weren't later. As always he was a network of scars and tattoos and was made of pretty much nothing but muscle.
The nudity did seize Lawrence's attention away from the water for a moment, testament to the strength of his libido of late, but it was only in a very distant way, seeming to consider the sight without fully understanding it before going back to his deep concern about the water.
"I do not want to swim." he repeated, before whatever had addled his brain lately looped him back to add. "Nor nudity."

Rodney distinctly looked at his feet and nowhere else, not as fast to disrobe. He tugged nervously at his scarf instead.
"Completely optional," Harrison said. "Now, you guys can linger a little, " he said, taking off his own shirt, "but not too much. Now, Weiman, want to swim or not, you got to swim anyway. It's the only way in. ...I thought you were good at that s**t."
"It's better to be dry, right?" Rodney asked.
"Sure is," Harrison said, tugging off his boots.

Melvin did watch. He had seen Rep naked before, but he hadn't been THIS horny before. Usually Rep was someone he could acknowledge had a pleasing ascetic due to his strength, muscles, and tone. But he also came with the distance that he was his friend. This time around - well, despite the fact all things still applied and Rep was loyal and married, his mind tossed that out just to enjoy the view.
There wasn't a debate on what to do. Usually he wold be a bit more reluctant, but considering how often he used to undress in the public bathroom and that everyone else stripping kind of put him on the spot, he flicked open the ziplock and took off his shoes before reaching up to his collar and pulling off his shirt. He was far less scarred than others, with his other other notable features being that he had his swimmer's build, a blue rabbit tattoo, and the ever present swirly pink design all about his neck and upper shoulder.
He did move over to place a hand on Lawr's should and leaning in with his back to the group, he whispered. "Soaking Wet or Nude. It's win win." He teased to him before moving away and working to undo his pants.

Lawrence glanced at Harrison uncertainly. He was a good swimmer, he used to do quite a bit of it before he came to the island and found out that water was one of the most dangerous things around and that not even a shield could save you from it. Adding that to the feeling he had that he was due a death by drowning just made it all extra unpalatable. His options right now were slim though and it was beginning to look like if he didn't do it, someone was going to make him. Being dragged underwater by someone else would be enough to really make sure he panicked and ended up dead.
He was going to just have to take this particular risk, despite his fear and misgivings about it. It wasn't the ocean, not fully open, he could probably touch the bottom. He had people to help, even if they hated him, it was a short trip. He could make it and then it would be over.
"I am going to end up dead." he said grimly. "But I don't have much choice."
He found himself staring at Harrison as he got undressed and was distracted only by Melvin touching his shoulder. He gave the other man a concerned look for his comment.
Soaking wet was not something he wanted to deal with when everyone else was avoiding it. Sighing he finally made use of the ziploc, neatly folding each article as he removed it, separating out his shoes into another one. He was of course just as skinny as he looked with the recent scars raking a lethal looking set of perfect scars almost all the way down to his privates.
Rep had already gathered up his things and was looking back at the group making sure he wouldn't need to step in and punch anyone for being an a*****e. He was wearing nothing but his artifacts and the earring glowed faintly in the cave. He wasn't much interested in ogling anyone but Harrison but he was a bit curious to see what people had under their clothes. Lawrence undressing fully seemed to irritate him for its own reasons and he turned and dived into the cold water, kicking out with strong confident strokes and vanishing sleekly under the surface, his clothes held firmly to his chest. He didn't care to wait and see if Mr Bible got his clothes off. He was probably too good for nudity, with a pair of permanent pants like an Action Man.

Rodney did, in fact, have some equivalent. And shaking, and worrying, he took off the cloak, and the jacket, and shoes...and there was a light and magical fluttering feeling, and his sweater became a wetsuit.
"Oh, thank God," Rodney said, feeling the fairy-thin fabric that felt a little less unnatural and a little more like it had come from something actually from the sea.
It was, on the other hand, a little more..closely-clinging, than he would have preferred. Still, he had to be grateful for the little things. And it hid his own tattoos. And scars. He put his shoes, cell phone, and other important items in the bag, then secured them to his scarf, which had found its way to his waist.
Harrison gave Rodney a slightly funny look, realizing that although Rodney had asked about everyone's items he hadn't volunteered his own. "Rep's in first, he'll make sure it's okay on the other side. I'll bring up the back. Go on, everybody in."

Melvin looked at Rodney too, staring at what had somehow shifted into another article of clothing. "O...k. That's new." He said to Rodney as he gathered all his things into the ziplock bag and moved into the water. Just to be on the safe side, Melvin waited to be in front of Lawrence before going under.
It was hardly that much of a swim, which was frankly disappointing, and he popped out on the other side, pushing back the hair from his face before stepping out. The ziplock bag held nicely and he set to work on getting dressed again, waiting for the others.

Lawrence eyed the water in front of him with a flat dispassionate expression but internally was in absolute revolt. He shouldn't have to do this, he shouldn't have to swim this, he should be free to turn around and leave. But no, this was just another situation like the island where what he wanted didn't matter and escape was an illusion. Without his clothes he was cold and he knew the moment he was in the water he was going to be much, much colder. He almost reached for the pendant again, tempted to knee jerk respond and get away from what he didn't want to deal with, but if he did he'd need to deal with the madman who'd swam on ahead showing up on his doorstep later and potentially the disappointment of both Rodney and Melvin.
Glancing sidelong at Rodney the other man got a quirked eyebrow as his scarf once again proved itself to be deeply versatile. Around his own neck, the strung runes glowed a very very faint green surrounding the small bag. In the dimness he was slightly concerned it would raise suspicion. It was a shame he didn't get to admire Rodney again, but at the same time, the others wouldn't appreciate him the same way and it was best if he wasn't too uncomfortable.
Harrison said he'd go last which was actually slightly reassuring, the man despite his many many other failings was good at keeping track of people and being unbiased when it came to help. He took a slow steadying breath and stepped out into the shallows, holding his ziploc to him as best he could with his bad arm, needing the other one to move himself. It was exactly as cold as he'd dreaded and he shivered slightly even at the breeze and gritted his teeth as he waded out. Butch was all right right up until Lawrence thought to himself that it was strange that dogs were all right with water but not baths.
The word bath set Butch howling and yowling in terror and put him even more on edge. Harrison and Rodney got a glance back when the water was at hip level. "I consider any owed dues paid in full doing this." he said and with another shiver and a gasp, he ducked under the water.
The immediate response was panic, panic which surprised him because it came from somewhere beyond his surface thoughts, something more primal and tied to trauma and survival. He twisted, disoriented as he struck out and almost lost which way was forward and up. It was only when his kicking toes touched soft sand (he hoped so much that it was sand) that he oriented himself, his breath truly beginning to run out as he swam up and up, his heart hammering in a way it almost never did.
He broke the surface on the other side with a gasp and swam - with startling speed - to the shore, both of his claws summoned as he pulled himself out of the water on his hands and knees, shivering bodily.
Rep wrung out his hair like a towel and got dressed, having no time for anyone's ******** amateur theatrics today.

"Once I got that item in hand, we're clear," Harrison said. Like he was torturing the guy, Jesus. Everyone was so damn whiny.
Rodney followed Lawr, uncomfortable in the wetsuit, but it was better than the alternative.
The guy was more muscular than Harrison had expected, but how was he supposed to know? He'd thought the bulk was just on account of the sweaters. He followed last, like he said, and was pleased to see that everyone had somehow managed to make this incredibly difficult part of the journey.
"Had a ******** time getting Mark down this part too," he said, standing on the shore and shaking clothes out of his bag. "I don't think that guy's taken a bath since he got recruited. Ok, Doc."
He looked directly at Lawrence.
"You in the mood to patch s**t up, or scratch s**t up?"

Melvin waited for the others to come up. Despite knowing it was a short and uneventful swim, the fact he couldn't see anyone and wasn't there made him anxious. Watching for ripples, he slowly pulled the clothes out of the ziplock but set those down a moment to help Lawr up the moment he dragged himself out of the water.
Releasing him, he stared a moment and then shot his eyes back up. This was NOT because he hadn't seen every part before, but because everyone was naked and he had absolutely no fabric there to hide him from what he wanted right now.
"OK. That went OK." He said a bit nervously as he went to put on his underwear and pants as quickly as he could without looking crazy.

Lawrence desummoned the claws to take Melvin's help to stand, dripping wet and shivering like a purse dog as he momentarily leaned against the other man to catch his breath, slightly dissapointed as he scooted off to get dressed. Lawrence was fairly grateful for the water, the cold and the danger had managed to rein in his libido in a way which for Melvin it...hadn't really.
He didn't argue that it hadn't gone OK, that he had almost gotten stuck down there because of some strange panic he couldn't explain, there was no point. He simply needed to move on with whatever they were required to do. Harrison got a very grim look for his question, if he had his way it would be neither, but right now going back looked less appealing than going forward.
"Healing." he said. "I really do not want to have to get up close and personal with anything dangerous." Drying himself off with his scarf, he put on his clothes as quickly as he could, not out of modesty but out of being very very cold, wrapping himself in his long coat, grateful for once for the thick warm fabric.
Rep was dressed and waiting, watching the others as they sorted themselves out and noting Melvin's distraction.
When he saw Rodney he couldn't keep his mouth shut. "Oh you are ******** KIDDING ME." he said, gesturing in a "do you see this s**t?" sort of way, and not for the first time that day. "A ******** WETSUIT. Did god give you that? ******** sake. Scared to get your c**k out with the rest of us." he let his gaze drift downwards. "If you've even got one."

Melvin got dressed, a bit chill but not as terribly cold as the other man was. Once dressed, he walked over to Lawr and patted his shoulder. "Going to make it or would you like my sweater?" It was true that Lawr was being forced through all of this, and there was no stopping him hating every minute of it, but the least he could do was make it at least bearable enough that he got through it without being too miserable. Melvin already knew Lawr hated water, and he did hate seeing him put through something he clearly and openly disliked. It might have seemed stupid to other people, but everyone had something they hated and it wasn't anyone's place to make them feel bad about it. If anything, Melvin was glad Lawr managed this much.
And he did look even while dressed. He couldn't help but flick some wet hair out of his face.
Rep's outburst caused Melvin to turn around as Rodney got out of the water. "He's got some sort of magical thing. I don't think God Bippity-Boppities wetsuits. Kind of a weird miracle." He joked.

Rodney lowered the plastic bag in line with Rep's gaze.
"Yes," he answered matter-of-factly to both questions. Turning his back, he wrapped his coat around him.
"Right, okay. Rep, you're on attack. Melvin, attack, long-range. Weiman, med s**t. Michaels...attack. Just get in hits when you see an opening. I'll take defense."
"I'm...what?" Rodney asked, spinning quickly.
"Normally there's some kinda...guardian guy lurking around here," Harrison said. "So get your dicks put up and your weapons out."
Sure enough, there was a distant tapping noise. Poddering to the little cove was a tiny pottery hedgehog. Moss grew from its back. It blinked, making a little growling noise, and bared a set of abnormally sharp teeth at all five of them.Quote: gaia_crown [ Round 1: BOSS FIGHT ] - There is no stamina for this, but you must first clear a boss fight. The GM must designate in their group: - 1 healer. They can HEAL your party instead of doing damage. Roll damage equal to their YEAR (so Y1 = 2d6, Y2 = 2d8 etc)- 6 damage for heal amount. They can target ONE player. They do TRIPLE HEALS to a Tank (2x heal 'damage' done)! This effect is unlimited but don't forget to quote your target. - 1 Tank. They have DOUBLE their original HP but do half the damage! They can quote UP TO TWO players a round to SHIELD them and take their damage for them. This effect is unlimited but don't forget to quote your targets. - 3 DPS (damage dealers). Damage dealers do DOUBLE attack damage INCLUDING Fear and charged attacks(when it hits). - Once these roles are set they CANNOT be changed for the entire duration! - 1 round counts as a full round of all players attacking the boss, followed by the boss hitting them. The GM will be in charge of the auto damage of the boss. So the sequence of attacks are: - Player 1 moves. Uses special ability if applicable. * - Player 2 moves . Uses special ability if applicable. Quote any targets. * - Player 3 moves, etc etc. * - Player 4 moves * - GM moves (as player 5) * - GM moves (as Boss). Roll 5d20. On the first turn only, calculate the boss's HP. The 5d20 will then be used as damage for the players each round. - Player 1 moves * - Player 2 moves * - Player 3 moves * - Player 4 moves * - GM moves (as player 5) * - GM moves (as Boss round 2) Roll 5d20. Calculate it for damage done to players - Tepeat until boss is dead! * These are all interchangeable. They however can only attack once a round and wait for he boss move before attacking again! If a player fails to make a move after 12 hours you can go ahead and skip them and just post the boss move and refresh a new round. BOSS ROUNDS: - GMS, you are free to invent a boss here, and its description as long as it is swampy and mossy! Feel free to improvise as you please, this IS your dungeon run! - When it is the boss's turn, the GM needs to roll the Boss's HP and damage done. Roll 4d20. That is the HP of your boss.- The FIRST roll damages player 1. The SECOND player 2 (in order of what turn they attacked at). The third player 3, so on so forth. Post in OOC accordingly and quote each player their damage. So for example if you rolled 5 , 6, 2, 12, 20, the person who posted first gets the 5 damage, the second the 6, etc etc. - Repeat until either boss OR players are down (sans rolling for HP again). If the players go down (the whole team), you are ejected from the dungeon! You have to pay 5 RP points to try again from start...
