Varinia receives 5 dmg.Well, no. He didn't like her or her people, and Tes was growing increasingly weary of her presence for every second they battled, but he could at least respect someone who would take a hit and still continue on. It was more than he anticipated from any pampered Fire girl and... charming, in its own way, perhaps. He wouldn't say as much to anyone, but it was a trait to be admired and respected, all the same.
He still wished she would quit, though. The Water man sighed. "If you insist." He shrugged off her attack, taking a bruising shot to the ribs before slicing out at her cheek.

And seeing as how the torso was the largest target, Vari figured it was the best option every time.

Varinia receives 6.75 dmg.As if he would quit for no other reason than just because. Tes scoffed and gave a minute flick of his hair as he glared at his opponent. He was the stronger contender here. Yes, her strikes were stinging and a nuisance, but they weren't enough to make him back off. He was trying to be 'polite' and offer her a reprieve before things became messy. The tip of her spear sliced his chest, but it wasn't as much of a deterrent as it ought to have been.

Varinia found herself getting increasingly tired. Her opponent was strong, stronger than she was. She had known this though, from the beginning. She was just way too stubborn to give up before she had given it her all. And although she started being unable to avoid his attacks, she wasn't done yet. Every attack from him was followed by her own attempt. Varinia would not go down easy.

Varinia receives 5.2 damage Teslaron didn't generally approve of diving in and out for quick, almost-sneaky clips and scratches. It wasn't an honorable way to fight, in his opinion. Not that he was an honorable man to begin with, but never the less. He wanted more. More from her- real attacks, and he wanted to be able to give them, as well. Still, it hadn't worked out as well as he'd hoped during the beginning of the match, and now, between the two of them and their various scrapes and injuries, it probably still wouldn't do him any favors.

Her attack had missed. It was starting to not really surprise her considering how tired and sore she felt. At least she still had some energy to avoid his full attack even if it left her breathless and needing to take a few moments to catch her breath again. Varinia receives 14 dmg.They were clearly both getting sloppy. Even the quick in-and-out and back-and-forth was losing its momentum. She was wearing down. Though so was Tes. He liked to think he wasn't quite as poorly off as she was, but at this point, it was hard to tell. Things looked too messy, and he didn't have the time to sit and analyze her. Still, when her most recent attack sailed off to his side, missing him completely, he decided it was time for a full offensive again.

The small break seemed to be exactly what she needed. She was more attentive and so when his next attack came, she was able to completely avoid it, thank goodness. Vari wasn't sure if she would be able to take another hit. Her own attack came then, it had a little more power than her previous attacks, she hoped she would catch him off guard or something.

Varinia receives 5 dmg.It was about as fruitful as the rest of his attacks, and Tes winced as he back stepped away from her with a new bruise to show for his efforts. Why could he just not seem to get a proper hit on her? It was fine, at first, perhaps even a bit comical, but at this point, he was ready to bring this to a close. And whittling down at her strength was just taking far too long for his liking. He could end this. He knew he could.
