An Odd Job
And Chel did show up, but only with a pathetic line of rope barely as tall as she was and no box. She didn't exactly have expendable supplies lying around.

An Odd Job
At Chel's arrival, she would spot a very frazzled looking Diana wrangling some strange furry giant. Upon further inspection she would see that it was in fact a dog. A very large and very untrained one to be exact.
"Chel heeeelp," Diana whined, attempting to sit on the creature to make it sit still.

Chel snorted. "Y'sound like the back of a cereal box Di." She reached up to pinch the girl's nose out of spite.

An Odd Job
Chel's face went from a tiny gasp to a big gasp to a, "PUPPY!!!"
The dog, hearing the squeal turned heel and bolted towards Chel, jumping up and nearly sending her slamming on to the ground. If Chel was bothered she definitely didn't show it, her face was glowing and she was petting every part of the dog she could.
If the dog killed her, this was a good way to go. Chel loved big dogs.
"Di when did you get a dog! Ohhh." More face ruffling and dog loving.

"I don't know he just sort of showed up and wanted love and please help," Diana flailed a bit, watching Chel interact with the very large dog. She didn't know how to take care of animals. Had no clue what to do in this sort of situation. She'd heard that pounds were bad so she definitely did not want to do that. The only other option she thought to do was to call Chel and now here they were. It seemed like she was some sort of weird dog whisperer though, so maybe it had been the right call after all.

"Dogs don't just show up Di." She had her hands on the dog's ears and was wiggling his head back and forth. "Who's a good snoofer woofer," she cooed at the puppy.
"What you need help with?"

"Dude I swear he just sort of wandered in! I was sweeping and had the door open and then he was there and I need help getting rid of him or something. I don't know how to take care of a dog. I can barely manage to take care of myself," she whined, watching Chel play with the dog.
"Should we call the animal shelter or something? Put up missing dog signs?"

Chel was very skeptical. In fact now she was suspecting that Diana had stolen this dog.
"Yeah man we should probably call someone or some s**t. Even f'he don't got a collar he might have one of those chip things," she said, even while placing doggy kisses on his cheeks.

"They put those kinds of things in dogs? Doesn't that hurt them?" Diana gasped, looking over at their furry friend. "I honestly don't know anything about dogs. Or any sort of animal."

"Nahhh they put it in like the ear and s**t. S'just like a piercin'." Considering Chel had many, she didn't think of that as cruel. "And what you mean- you never had pets and s**t before?"

"Never ever. I've always wanted one, but you know. Just never been able to have one. Have you had one before?" It sure seemed like she had with how she was treating the dog.
"Do you know how to take care of them?"

"Yeah we usually had some dogs or cats runnin' around before we went broke," Chel said. "Don't really remember a lot about takin' care of them 'cause my parents did most of the s**t, but how hard can it be?"
She gave the dog a few buttpats before righting herself and putting her hands on her hips. "You just feed 'em and walk 'em an' s'fine right?"
