She gave a nod to Rek's question.

"That or the roof," Now that she wasn't in the Silver Lining's presence she was coming down off the bubble of confidence and good feeling she had been floating on - albeit ever so gradually. "It seems like the needle is trying to point directly up but we are surrounded by buildings..." She hummed a single note edged with returned displeasure, wishing it was a bit more accurate than it was. Ah well...Couldn't fault Dr. Kyou on this one she supposed; these were rather cobbled together in a rush after all.

"Alright, I will as best I can." She gave Aadi a nod and like the Peacock took up a vial in her free hand - better safe than sorry - looking at the two ground-stuck humans with a slight shrug. "We won't be long..." She looked up again and frowned just touch before getting airborne as quickly as she could manage after Aadhira.

"Just stay safe!" Zeke called after her retreating back, worry etching into face as he watched the sky grow steadily darker. When Justin spoke, he did his best to put a smile on before speaking. "If that happens then we'll get them to the nearest hospital as soon as humanly possible. But there's always a chance it's not the storm! I mean, the weather did call for rain toda--AAAY!!!"

As soon as he said the words a bolt of lightning shot out of the sky and hit the ground one car ahead of them. The bolt lasted for a moment - long enough for him to see the spear-straight shape of it - before vanishing as if it was never there at all. The smell of burnt asphault and the static in the air told otherwise, however.

"GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW ALL OF YOU!!! IT'S NOT SAFE UP THERE!"

Iorek grabbed another opened jar too and headed up with the rest of them.

"Oh s**t!" Iorek yelped as the bolt of lightning whizzed by and struck a car below, setting off its alarm. He could hear Zeke yelling at them to come back but they couldn't without this fel essence! They needed to capture it to help Dr.Kyou.

Reks could see the cloud recharging itself and knew it would probably strike again. "Okay...we just gotta be alert and watch each other's backs." He just had to keep his eyes peeled for a quick catching and/or be ready to shove anyone out of the way.

Aadhira zipped around, the wind picking up and making it difficult to accurately fly. His hair whipped across his face, tangling. In his hands he clutched a vial. Lightning charged the air around him, frightening and yet he wasn't afraid. Aadhira felt... focused. Lightning sizzled down into the cars.

"Aadi! Come back down! NOW." Justin cupped his hands around his mouth. It was too dangerous for the raevans to be up there, essence or no. The wind alone was enough to give him pause but he jumped at each crack of thunder.

For his part, Aadhira didn't even hear Justin. His blue wings flapped, trying to gain some leverage against the storm. Lightning flashed before his eyes. His fingers curled tightly around the vial he held...

It happened in a flash, there was a bright light that stopped short of Aadhira, and then the Raevan was falling from the sky, his hand still clutching the vial tightly. When he was back on the ground again, they will find that the Frei did not avoided damage, His hands were singed, there were faint lightning marks going up his arms, and he was unconscious for a moment.

However, the fel essence was caught, as the piece of paper inside the vial was enough to keep the lightning anchored within. It threatened to escape though as it flashed violently, with electricity leaking out the open vial. Once corked, it should stabilize a little bit.

Fel Essence #63

When looking up to the sky during a thunderstorm, a person can see lightning forking, branching, and zig-zagging across the sky just before a thunderclap. Lightning does this to travel the path of least resistance from point A to point B as the air of our planet is filled with all sorts of gasses, elements, particles, and moisture that makes it impossible for it to reach the ground in a straight line. Except this one. This particular bolt was affected by the magic of the Storm and shot straight to earth without forking which gave it the appearance of a purple-white spear. Although it hums innocently within its container watch out! It still packs the same deadly amount of electricity as any other lightning bolt!

With the flashes of lightning and car alarms going off, it had started to draw the attention of the people in the police station. Thankfully for the group, or luckily as some would put it, they didn't need to wait long to catch the fel essence. Who would have thought that it would be so easy to be struck by a bolt of lightning? Once recovered, they could move on away from their precarious location to their next. As the clouds began to disperse above them.

Anya saw the bolt rocket past her and strike the ground below. She heard Zeke's cry and turned to do as her Guardian said, but it was as if she was too slow in that moment, or perhaps that was just the moment itself slowing down so she could watch what happened next. The sky glowed a white-purple color and loosed another spear of electricity, and it went straight for the Peacock Raevan. There was a flash that burned all of her eyes and in the next blink it was gone...and Aadhira was falling!

"Aadhira!" Her heart was suddenly in her throat but all of her limbs were frozen. She couldn't move save swivel her head, looking for Iorek with her mouth agape and every fiber in her being on fire. The falling Frei wasn't slowing down - was he even awake? - and in a few moments he would be crashing into the ground or a car or...or...

"Oh s**t. OH s**t!" One moment Aadhira was there and the next he was falling from the sky, tumbling, not catching himself. Zeke grabbed Justin's arm hard and yanked him along toward the falling Frei, full on running to get underneath the Peacock as he plummeted toward the ground.

C'mon, c'moooon.... Zeke held out his arms and readied himself to jump if he needed to in order to keep Aadi from smashing into the pavement.

"Oh no..." His voice was just a little whisper, hushed from shock and alarm. In that moment everything slowed down as the lighting zipped by and collided with Aadhira. This was bad. Iorek stared in shock when the raevan was struck. Then just as fast the young frei was falling from the sky and fast.

The wannabe hero lurched forward and dove after his falling friend. There was no thinking, just an immediate flap of wings and a fast descent with his mighty arms outstretched. Iorek was doing all he could do try and catch the raevan before he made a nasty collision with the ground. If he didn't get there in time Zeke or Justin would be able to catch him, that had to. But Iorek wasn't thinking about the if, ands, or buts, just saving his fallen ally before it was too late.

Aadhira felt nothing, heard nothing except the deafening clap of thunder and the taste of metal in his mouth. He plummeted from the sky. And conveniently into Iorek's strong arms. Aadhira landed with a crumpled whump, head lolling dangerously although his hand remained clenched around the vial. Lichtenberg figures arced across his hands and lower arms, the forms glowing faintly as his bio-luminescent body tried to adjust to the trauma.

"Iorek!" Justin yelled, rushing over as close as he could get to the other frei. "Is he okay?!" His eyes were wide and his hair mussed about by the wind. Just then, Aadi stirred and Justin felt himself breathe again.

Aadhira blinked his blue eyes open, looking up at Iorek. "My hero," he said, and shifted. "Head hurts, I-" He blinked again, and some of the haze seemed to lift. People were pokign their heads out of the police station - people were coming!

"Justin-" Justin whipped his head around.

"Car, now. Go!"

Aadhira would find himself slowly feeling better as they rode off in Justin's car. Although his fingers would feel numb for the next few days, even if he could move them.

It took them a while to find their next destination, but soon they would arrive at a junkyard with mountains of wrecked cars. A sign in front says that they are closed today, thankfully for the group. They could be on their own leisure here at least, no need to worry about other people. The gates are closed and locked though, but it should be easy for the Raevans to float above and over the metal doors and unlock the latch on the other side. Since this is just a junkyard, security is a little lax here.

The needle is definitely pointing into the junkyard, unwavering.

Everything was a whirl from the moment Iorek caught Aadhira. Anya dropped herself like a stone and felt like she was on autopilot up until they were speeding away from the scene. She didn't realize she was in the front seat with Zeke until that point too, peering back at the three in the backseat with wide, fearful eyes.

"Is he okay?" She heard herself say, watching Aadi blink between glances to the glowing lightning marks that had appeared up his arms. From beside her Zeke was cursing softly under his breath, his attention hovering between the road in front of him and the road reflected in the mirror at the back.

"Anya, I need directions," he eventually said when it seemed that they weren't going to be chased after and pulled over by a team of police cars. The strain in his words and the curt way he said them was not at all like himself and in turn it made her gawk at him like she was Aadi and co. in back. She almost said 'to where?' but then recalled that she still had the compass in her fist. She peeled her gaze from the backseat to sit properly in the front.

"Okay, ah...Take this next left."

It seemed to take forever but they finally made it, pulling up to the gates of what had to be the largest junkyard either of them had seen, real or on tv. Zeke put Justin's car in park but left the engine to idle before slumping in the seat and releasing the longest exhale Anya had ever heard. Had he really been holding his breath in all this time?

It took him a moment but after wiping his face with both hands the vet sat up and turned around to look at the trio in back. The marks on Aadi's arms made him wince; poor kid. "You doing okay Aadi?"

Anya peered over the top of the seat, fingers curling and digging into the headrest. She looked between all the men she was with before giving voice to perhaps what they were all considering.

"Maybe you two should sit this one out."

He caught him! Iorek had managed to catch the poor frei before it was too late. He was too worried about Aadi to feel any sort of relief though. "Come on, Aadihira. You gotta wake up." Iorek told the unconscious frei in his arms as he descended. He may have been safe in Iorek's arms but the state Aadihira was in didn't look so good. Little sparks of lightning still danced across his skin as Iorek touched down on the ground.

"I-I think so?!" Iorek called back to Justin, his voice wavering and tight with fear. He didn't want to make the man worry or cause any panic. Hopefully the whole collision with the fel essence just looked way worse than it was.

Thankfully Aadihira stirred before Iorek took it upon himself to fly him to a hospital.

"Oh thank goodness...." Reks breathed a sigh of relief when he saw the little frei looking back up at him. "You almost gave everyone here a heart attack."

Iorek flushed a bright red at the word 'hero' and felt a little swell of pride bloom in his chest but obviously now was not the time to think about it. Before Reks could ask the raevan if anything besides his head hurt it was time to go.

Iorek quickly but carefully flew them over to the car and ever so gently set Aadi down, propping him in the middle as he acted as a support.

Time seemed to slow down as he checked the frei over for anymore injuries that were easily visible. It took a few seconds for the gargoyle to even notice that Anya was in the car with the rest of their crew and talking to him.

"I-I think he will be? Just a bit of a shock...."
Although the jagged streaks across his hands and lower arms were still faintly glowing. Could that be bad? At least he was conscious now and responding to them.

"I don't know...If he feels good enough to continue he should be able to. How are you feeling? Should we take you to the Doctor? Or do you think you're up to catch another fel essence?" Iorek didn't want to push him to continue if he couldn't but he also didn't want to shelter Aadi if he wanted to keep going. Whatever Aadi wanted to do Iorek was proud of what he'd done.

Justin babbled out a thanks as Zeke took the driver's seat. He slid into the backseat next to Aadhira and one of the frei's glowing hands tried to grasp his arm before falling away. Aadi didn't feel good, frankly, but the quiet noise of the car driving and Justin's soft questions made him feel a little better. He reached out and patted Iorek on one arm as the other raevan got out.

"No," Justin said firmly. "We are sitting this one out." Aadhira was still feeling poorly enough that he didn't argue. His head still spun a bit, a metallic taste lingering on his tongue. He flexed his fingers experimentally, watching them move but not feeling them.

Junkyard - they could do this; he needed to make sure Aadhira stayed okay. "If you need me, I've got my cell."

Perhaps Justin and Aadhira sitting out of this one might be a good idea as well. The area is kind of in the middle of nowhere, located in the shadier part of the city as well. Having someone at the car could prevent it from being stolen. Even if right now the streets seemed barren. Located across the street are a row of auto shops, but they are all closed today because it's a weekend.

(( The Semblance of Unity can opt to sit out of this one if you so choose, until the rest gets back to the car ))

"I'll leave the car on for you guys," at the very least they could have some music to listen to or something. Worse case, Justin would have to act as getaway driver this time.

"We'll be back soon," Anya continued and with that both she and her Guardian were exiting the car to approach the gate. Zeke gave the iron bars a shake but they didn't budge. Anya didn't need to be told what to do; she floated up and over the gate to the other side to fiddle with the lock. It took a moment but then there was a 'click' and she was able to push one of the doors free.

"Thanks, Anya. Nice job." Zeke only hesitated to let Iorek pass through before him before going inside himself. When the vet saw what lay before them, he couldn't help but feel his spirits drop just a little. The place was HUGE and full to the brim it seemed. Old, rusty cars, long-dead computers and torn-apart electronics, assorted pieces of metal, trash...Talk about a needle in a haystack hunt.

"This place is...wow." Anya made a face at the piles she could see, looking between Zeke and Iorek before resting on the latter. "We might need you to do some heavy lifting, so is it okay if I hold onto the compass for this one too?"
PostPosted: Mon May 23, 2016 2:50 am

"Just be on the lookout and be careful, alright?" Iorek told Aadi and Justin before he floated off into the junkyard. He felt a little nervous leaving them behind in an unknown area but it was for the best.

"Wow, yeah, this is going to be interesting. Watch where you step, Zeke. And Anya be careful not to catch your ribbon on anything."
At this point Reks really just wanted to gather everyone up and keep them in a room, safe from any dangerous fel essences. One person getting hurt was enough to make him a tad bit too cautious.

Reks chuckled at Anya's and flexed his arms trying to brighten the mood in such a dreary place. "Well luckily for us heavy lifting is one of the things I do best. Just point me in the right direction and I'll do whatever I gotta do. Does it sense anything yet?"

As the smaller group moved deeper into the junk yard, the needle started to move. Certainly in a junk yard like this that is like a maze, it won't be a straight line towards the fel essence. The further in they went, the higher the cars were piled up. It started with just old cars parked close together near the entrance. Some with their hoods open, no doubt scavenging whatever parts that could be scavenged for workshops. Then two cars one atop another as they progressed, three cars, and now four cars, crushed, perched precariously together. All missing parts like tires, and some even missing doors. Parts were scattered around as well, car mufflers, steering wheels, tire rims, old engines and more. This is truly a graveyard for cars.

Despite being a junk yard, the place was still fairly organized. Cars were piled neatly together, seems to be quite sturdy as well and won't topple easily. The only downside is that the place seemed to be arranged like a maze. They would have to remember how to get out later.

The needle brought them to an area with these huge metal racks about two storeys tall. Car parts were stacked fairly neatly in them, with shelves dedicated for car bumpers, car doors, car engines, battery, and even one with old rusty bicycles. Circling around the racks would prove that whatever fel essence they are looking for, it's located somewhere on these racks.
