Ryan looks at Aria oddly. If she wasn't a channeler herself, then where was her pokemon? He re-corks his gourd and nods. Ryan then looks around as the wind begins to whip up and finally looks up and spots a very weird looking bat. That had to be Aria's pokemon!
" Clever. but I see your little trick, How long have you had that bat sitting up there? since before the contest started? It doesn't matter, now I know where to focus my attacks! Tank! Deceitful Rocks!" Ryan orders as he points out the target.
Tank looks and nods. He then splits into a reverse pyramind of himself with Double Team, then all the Tanks send rocks hurtling up into the rafters after Vibrato using Rock Slide. It was quite the sight.

Watching the flurry of stones flying into the rafters, Vibrato would hold position and allow many of the stones to bash themselves on the natural barricade that the rafters offered. This did not stop a number from slamming into him and knocking him from his perch, but the Noivern would adapt to the removal from his perch as he dove towards Tank at incredible speeds, boosted by the Tailwind that had been whipped up. "Painkiller!" Aria called out as she began to switch her strumming style to a more timed and sudden pattern. As she did so, Vibrato would whip the wind trailing behind him into a Razor Wind that cut through the pyramid of Swamperts before slamming into the easily exposed real one with an Iron Tail that Vibrato swung with a graveful arc and that aimed to send Tank into the back wall.

Tank dug in as he got hit, so he didn't quite reach the back wall, but did move quite a bit. But Tank still had plenty of fight in him, and pounded his fists on the ground as a sign of his energy. Ryan smiled. He had named his Swampert aptly.
"A Warrior may get pushed back, but never away! Tank! Enduring Water!" Ryan calls out. Tank would charge back in crash into Vibrato with Endeavor, putting them onto equal footing for the moment before adding in a Waterfall attack on top of it.
Time to see what his opponent had as a final volley and move accordingly.

Aria would smile as she saw the Swampert standing its ground. This was what she needed. Watching as the Waterfall kicked moisture into the air, the opportunity presented itself perfectly for what she planned. Her playing would shift again, pace picking up as Aria began to launch into what would normally be the solo. "Symphony of Destruction!" She commanded, watching as her Noivern would be sent flying by the torrent of water from the Waterfall before he threw the moisture into the air with a beat of his wings. Taking advantage of the Tailwind, Vibrato would begin to encircle Tank with smaller circles that kept the Swampert centered within them. The wind behind the Noivern would begin to pick up pace as it drew the moisture into a massive hurricane. The air within the Hurricane would rapidly increase in temperature as a Heat Wave erupted throughout the windstorm, causing bolts of lightning to erupt from the storm and arc around the room. The hot air would also add to the speed of the storm, making rotate even faster with the new difference in temperature.
As the storm and Aria's solo reached their peak, Vibrato would stop his continuous circular flight around Tank and appear at the top of the storm before diving towards the Swampert and unleashing a Boomburst at point-blank range. The explosion of noise and pressure would erupt through the hurricane, causing the storm to break at the bottom and erupt into massive dispersal of lightning and debris that had been picked up by the storm. Giving a small wink to Ryan, she waited to see what he could do to top that storm.

Ryan smirks. He might not be able to outdo it, but he would do his best to drum up as much ado over Tank. who hadn't flinched back from the storm, in fact, the damage had done just enough to cause an impressive Sapphire aura to enshroud the Swampert.
"Your storm, while impressive, has done nothing but empowered my Warrior to his greatest strength. You storm has become his herald! An now he will bring the entirety of his might against you! hear his Pledge and then unleash the unbridled might of his Cannon!" Ryan would embellish as with as much flair as he could.
Tank would place his right hand over his heart, raise his left hand to skies, and let out a mighty roar, using his Water Pledge. He then would take a fighter's stance. Tank then charges up and unleashes a Torrent-fueled Hydro Cannon upon Vibrato with all the energy he had.

"That's enough!" Lisia declared as she skipped up to the stage. "Wow, another amazing battle! You guys sure are giving it your all. I name this appeal battle...Clash of Monsters!" The girl said, striking a post. "Let's see what the judges thought!"

"Well this is awkward...we have a three way tie! Time for a sudden death appeal!" Lisia exclaimed, giving a little jump to show how excited she was. "Each contestant will give us an appeal using all three of their Pokemon! So exciting! Each Pokemon can only use two moves in your appeal. The theme behind the appeal is to show us the synergy in the three you chose and how they can work together to dazzle us even when limited individually! Though be warned, since the battle portion was a tie your original appeals will be considered in the judging of this final appeal so if you scored low before this is your chance to really make it up! Good luck!" And with that she left the stage to let them go crazy.

Ryan would get his pokemon in position off-stage and instructed on what their roles were. He had one last story to tell and it was to be his grandest of the contest.
Ryan slowly strolls out onto the stage. "The Sea. As a man from the Orange Islands, I am all too aware how fickle a maiden she can be. At times, she can be calm and inviting, a summertime playground. But she can also be angry and vengeful. Anything on her surface is target to her rage. And when you are caught by her in that state, you are never sure if you are going to survive.
But, this isn't my tale, I am only the one telling it. This is a story of a sturdy and stalwart ship, that had dared to sail on the Sea, when her anger was at it's peak." Ryan explains to the crowd.
As Ryan began once more, Tank would come lumbering out onto the stage. " The ship had sailed the Sea many times and had never once come across any ill times. But it had never been far beyond the bay it called home. Then one day, it dared to sail further. At first, all was calm and confidence was building, But as it tends to happen, a storm started to come up." At that point Corla would bounce out onto stage and use Rain Dance to make it start to rain. It would batter against Tank, but he would keep moving forward.
"The ship thought it could handle the storm and pushed on. The Sea rose up at this defiance of her anger and targeted the ship with one of her nastier dangers. As the ship pushed on, the water around it began to rotate faster and faster, until a Whirlpool had formed." Ryan continues on. It was at this cue that Aysu would slip onto stage and hit Tank with her Whirlpool attack, entrapping the Swampert in it's fierce spinning waters.
"As the Ship fought against the spinning waters, the storm would get worse. Lighting and Hail would start to target the ship as well." Ryan states. Aysu fires off Thunderbolt, which would light up the Whirlpool, but do no harm to Tank. Then Corla would use Icicle Spear. The Ice Spear would rip through the Whirlpool and rock Tank, but he shouldered on.
"The ship fought hard against this and made a desperate chance to escape, but alas, failed at the last second." Ryan details with a sigh. Tank would use Waterfall, climbing up the Whirlpool, but slipped back down.
"All seemed lost. The ship was doomed to be pulled down to the crushing depths, another victim of the Sea and her wrath. But then, a voice would come across the waves. " I'm counting on you." It would make the ship recall why it had to return to port safely. There was a seasoned sailor who used it for many tasks and travels. He called the ship reliable.trusted it with his life to safely get him where he needed go and through to spots on the waves. With this now in mind, the ship managed right it's self and throwing it into full speed, would roar free of the whirlpool and escape to calmer waters." Ryan's voice waver and rises through the climax of the story. Tank would blast free from the Whirlpool using his Hydro Cannon.
"The ship would then return to it's city and calmer waters. Back to the dock where the sailor was waiting for it. For another adventure was always on the next rise and fall of the waves." Ryan would finish the story, Tank walking over and placing his hands on Ryan's shoulders. Wait a second. What story did Ryan tell here? Only Ryan and Tank knew the truth and it was what made their bond so strong.

Aria would watch as Ryan stepped off the stage and give a quirk of her eyebrow, already wondering how exactly she could make something that might compete. Looking at the three Pokemon she had on her, the performer was quick to flash a large smile as an idea crossed her mind. Nodding over at Sogetsu and Vibrato, the two Pokemon would simply tilt their heads in acknowledgement before assuming opposite ends of the battlefield. Carbuncle would float next to Aria, waving his tiny arms around for a moment as his trainer whispered to him and allowed a Light Screen to encircle Sogetsu's paws before what would have coated the rest of his body leaped into the air in a stream to form a glowing piece of text that announced, 'FIGHT!'. With the signal to go, Vibrato began to prepare a Boomburst, the air visibly gathering at both of his ears and mouth. Sogetsu opted to stand his ground, body held loose and an aura of calmness around him.
One of the blasts from the Noivern's ears would fire off, aimed straight for Sogetsu's stomach. The Pangoro would not react to the blast with any suddenness, instead slowly flowing his arms around himself and eventually catching the Boomburst with his hands. The blast would roll along with the flowing motion of Sogetsu's arms while generating sparks off the Light Screen, redirecting the blast and sending it flying off into the wall behind him. Unable to let out a growl lest he fire off the Boomburst in his mouth, Vibrato would instead simply fire the second ear blast. Again, Sogetsu would catch the blast with a soft, flowing motion that he used to keep the blast flowing around his body with a storm of spark erupting from the Light Screens before sending the blast flying back in the general direction it had come from. The Boomburst would detonate against the back wall,kicking up debris and a small dust cloud. Now, Vibrato would release a booming roar, and with it the final Boomburst.
Sogetsu would smirk at this final blast coming towards him, preparing again to catch it. This time, his hand motions were more direct and fast, taking the Boomburst around in a Storm Throw that sent small sparks and flashes of light as the Light Screen desperately fought to maintain their structure before sending the blast directly towards Noivern, the Storm Throw allowing for the Pangoro to aim more easily. The Noivern would attempt to evade the blast but would instead be slammed into by the Boomburst and knocked out of the sky with an echoing explosion that sounded like the roar of the Noivern turned up to eleven.
Crashing into the ground with a single thud, Vibrato would begin to growl and roar at the indignation of being hit with his own blast, purple chi beginning to pour off of his body. Focusing in on Sogetsu, the Noivern would charge forward with a flurry of Outrage-powered limbs flying. Waiting with a patient expression on his face, Sogetsu would wait until the Noivern reached within striking distance. Then, the Pangoro would explode in a flurry of motion, Arm Thrusts quickly moving to intercept and block the assault by the Dragon type. Rocks and other small debris would begin to chip away from the ground as these blows kept slamming into each other, scattering away from the conflict before being dragged back in by some other force.
This flurry of blows and destruction of the contest ground would continue for a minute, the rocky debris and destruction slowly building up as the pair continued. As the two felt their powers begin to slowly ebb away, both would back away for a moment and allow the rocks to rush in close to them before they charged at each other, each putting as much energy as they could muster into their last attack. They would both disappear within the strange sphere of rock that formed around them before it exploded outward with a bright light, sending the debris scattering with the two bodies now flying from the epicenter of this chi explosion.
Quickly returning the two Pokemon, Aria would look to where Carbuncle was still floating beside her. "Nice job with the Stealth Rock. Really made that finale go off without a hitch." She praised the Rock type, giving the small Pokemon a high five. Turning to their judges and announcer, she would give a small bow before stepping off of the stage with a grin plastered on her face.

Odd appeared on the stage at last, having taken a bit longer to devise a strategy to work with here than he had actually intended to. He had figured out a strategy, though, and was ready for his performance. His Pokemon knew what to do already so he just needed to signal them when to move. Arriving on the stage, he tossed two Ultra Balls and a Dusk Ball into the air, releasing his three Pokemon. Adagio released a small burst of hot air and flames as she emerged, melting the frozen droplets hanging in the air around Chorale, which fell like a soft rain only to be swept away by a swift swing of Beat's bone.
"Alright, everyone, ready?" He asked his partner, who all nodded in reply.
"Good. Triple Plasma!" He called out.
Beat held his bone out in front of him as his body sparked, charging up the electricity he had collected via his Lightning Rod ability over the years, releasing a Thunderbolt over Odd's head. Adagio spun a spiraling stream of crimson flames towards the apex of the Thunderbolt, her Flamethrower meeting it just as Chorale fired off an ice beam, it connecting with the other two as they coalesced into a swirling mass of crimson, blue and yellow.
"By the powers of fire, ice and lightning, we birth a beast anew!" Odd cried out as the orb above him swelled to immense size. It took only a moment before it came crashing down upon him, whereupon, he slipped into the ground, using his Ouija Board skill to conjure a spirit. He'd gotten lucky here, today, having encountered a local spirit who agreed to help if he called for it. Now was that time. As the aftermath of the explosive trio of beams cleared, in the clearing smoke stood a ghostly figure, just barely visible through the clearing smoke. The spirit of a Mega Tyranitar roared as it appeared, it's ethereal voice registering only as an eerie whisper to the audience, though it would likely chill them to the bone, especially any sensitive to the presence of spirits.
Odd reappeared behind his partners not a moment later. "Beat, Perish Song! Adagio, Chorale, Twin Shadows!"
Beat began to sing, a deep, lovely sounding requiem that rang out through the contest hall, dulcet notes slowly taking form to hang in the air and float delicately around the stage, hanging closest to where the raging spirit still stomped around in the clearing smoke from before.
Adagio and Chorale nodded to one another as they charged a matching pair of Shadow Balls and fired them toward one another. The twin orbs of shadow and decay ripped through the air, sparking black threads of energy between them until they reached their destination, when their energies caused them to begin orbiting one another, new, longer threads of energy sparking out like black lightning from them both to strike the Perish Song notes still hanging in the air, causing them to burst, releasing tiny, but audible, eerie sighs of sound along with a small splash of a deathly light.
One last barely audible roar to make the onlookers' skin crawl and the spirit within the smoke disappeared, as if the attack had erased it's very existence. Odd and his partners now gathered together and gave a small bow to the crowd. "Wonderful work, loves." He told his Pokemon before turning back to see just how the judges would take such a performance, especially compared to those that came before his own.
