The veteran was showing how experience had played a huge part in this match. Because of the marks on his ribcage, Young expected Bad Boy to target those. But instead, the leader of Fiscal Responsibility forced his fist against the side of Renegade's temple and, by instinct, made him lift up his left arm to block any more. Just as he did, Renegade left his ribs wide open and Bad Boy punished him for it. The punches brought the rising star to sit on the middle turnbuckle, pressing his biceps to his sides and raising his forearms to cover his chest and face.

After a barrage of knees to the ribs and getting his neck driven to the mat, Renegade rolled to his side. The agony was clear. Young grabbed the back of his neck with both hands and kicked the mat with both feet repetitively. Bad Boy's calculated assault had left the California Kid in pain, and not just in his ribs this time. Bad Boy would leave a bruise on Renegade's neck and his confidence as well.

He saw the arm. The muscled up, loose arm of Bad Boy was right next to him, and all Renegade needed to do was find a way to twist his body around to wrap his legs around it and lock in his finishing submission hold...

But he could not.



So with that failed plan, Renegade shot his arm up immediately following the two-count. He did not have a plan as to how he would make his comeback towards Bad Boy, but Young would have to capitalize on any opening he was given. Because those opportunities would be rare to come across against the veteran experience and ruthlessness of Bad Boy.

The crowd in unison went "Ooh!" as Renegade's neck whiplashed from the force of Bad Boy's gravity and the rebound of the ropes. Young fell back, clenching at his neck with both hands as he rolled around the center of the ring. He would roll to his knees and cough up some saliva, a mixture of drool and sweat hanging from his lips like a thread.

Renegade rolled to his stomach before getting to a knee, nursing his throat with his left hand. He kneeled towards Bad Boy's direction, dazed and worn out by his high-energy offense at the beginning of this match, and Bad Boy's relentless assault for the last few minutes. The California Kid was going to soak up every breath he could.

Didn't Bad Boy learn already? Disrespecting and undermining Renegade was a recipe for disaster. As soon as the Rumble winner stood the groggy California Kid up and threw a wild swing towards Young, the king of the indies ducked and went for an anger-driven kick to the gut. If he could make Bad Boy hunch over, Renegade would look to finish his signature Deadly Combination!

Young prided himself on being a respectful competitor with traditional values and love for his profession. But the California Kid would always match an insult with an insult. So after Bad Boy's blatant rudeness and generally disgusting behavior, Renegade went to match that by plugging one nostril shut and shooting a snot rocket on the chest of his opponent!
