 Maru Kiryu
Maru was actually caught off-guard when Gar said he would do it, he'd model for them all. She was so surprised that she grinned pretty much from ear to ear. It seemed that he was sticking up for her like she had done for him earlier. He was nice and it showed even though he seemed just a bit out of place or probably felt very out of place. "Thank you..." Maru whispered to him before finally getting the courage herself. She would definitely have to thank him for finding her courage for her. "I uhm...guess I could do it as well." Maru stated with a smile on her face and a light blush. She had never had someone stand up for her like that and it felt pretty good to the girl. Maybe if she kept getting some positive reinforcement maybe one day she'd see that her figure wasn't such a bad one.
Maru did notice both the blind girl and the pink-haired girl as they both sort of stuck out a bit. She didn't know what to do though or if she should say anything to them. She did make eye contact with them so she at least gave them a smile and a wave. The gesture of a smile and wave though got her to kind of face palm though. One of the girl's was blind it wasn't like the girl could honestly see her offer the gesture. Sometimes Maru just did the wrong thing and this she felt was one of those times. It was probably seemingly rude to wave to a blind girl. At least she wasn't waving her hand in the girl's face though, she probably got way too much of that and it probably pissed her off a good amount when someone did do something so thoughtless.
Saiph was now continuing on with the tour so Maru decided to follow along but as she did she looked to Gar and spoke gently. "Thanks...for sticking up for me there." She said with a small smile. She didn't know what else to say past that. She was still pretty smiley though and would be for at least a good bit longer. "No one really ever does...thanks." Maru said appreciatively. She couldn't wait to start this new school year now. Maybe she'd have a good friend to see through the entire year with. She mostly had teachers who were friends so to have a student who was one would be all the better. Not that she minded having older friends.
Once they got to the kitchen she watched Saiph and just giggled a little. "Last year Saiph set a microwave on fire...while she was making cereal." Maru said with a laugh but she was being dead honest. Saiph was the bane of all things kitchen. The woman couldn't cook if her very existence counted on it and Maru had beared witness to the terrors of her cooking once before. "If you take cooking...quickly vacate the area whenever Saiph is inside the kitchen because things can turn out disgustingly bad for you. Or just disgusting. Like her appetizer that had to be killed...twice..." Maru said to Gar with a small shudder. She really did hope that Saiph wasn't allowed inside the kitchen at all this year. They didn't need her dessert to run a rampage or begin the zombie apocalypse or something else like that. Maru could already see the horror on some of the older cooking students when Saiph got to close to the kitchen wall.
 Gardenia Velora-Turrant
Gardenia was inside the kitchen stocking everything for the new year and making sure that her scheduling was right. She was a robot of all things, completely cybernetic save for her soul so making sure everything was settled in properly was easy for her. She had detailed files and even a cool HUD that was basically telling her what to do next. Seeing as she still had her old human soul however meant she was far more living then most people. Gardenia could even birth just like people if not a little better. She still had to eat, drink, sleep, and interact like a human would have to. The biggest upside to it all was the fact that she was sturdier, quicker to calculate and basically immortal. The downside was she had to recharge while she slept which meant she couldn't sleep anywhere that didn't have an outlet ready and nearby. As she moved about the kitchen she heard a sound that both made her happy and terrified her. It was Saiph.
Gardenia turned and immediately, effectively, and forwardly ejected Saiph out of the kitchen. "Non, non. You know you are not allowed in the kitchen." Gardenia said with a grumble. Her voice was also milked over with a heavy, and rich French accent. "You are such a jynx when it comes to kitchens that you are not allowed in. Not at all." Gardenia said before turning her head to notice that there was an entire gaggle of students, it must have been tour time.
"Enchantรฉe. Je m'appelle Gardenia Turrant...Excusez-moi." Gardenia turned and locked the door behind her so that Saiph couldn't get into the kitchen for the time being. She then turned to the students and smiled. She was probably the Frenchest woman on Earth, or at least that's what people said about her. To be precise if you got her and Fife to stand next to each other you would swear their shadows looked like the Eiffel Tower. "My name is Gardenia or you may call me Mrs. Turrant. I teach cullinary arts and arts they are. I will teach you how to make peculiarly perfect pastas, bold beautiful brie, delightful delectable duck, and xenodochial xenial Xaviar soup...it is hard to find something that starts with an X..." Gardenia added on the end before giving a big bright welcoming smile. "Regardless...I will teach you how to cook and to cook with vim and vigor. I will have no lazy bones or layabouts in my class and I expect only the utmost best." Gardenia skimmed the crowd before giving them all a smile.
Her eyes then turned back to Saiph and she giggled. "You do know however love that you are not allowed into the classroom at any time. Oui? Last time you entered I had to jump out of the window to avoid what could have been imminent death." Gardenia said with a small sigh. She loved her wife dearly but that woman was the cullinary version of Satan. Sadly she knew for a fact that Satan was a much better chef than Saiph was.

The element of surprise was always a good thing to have~Maru was somewhat in awe as Gar accepted Ms. Fife's offer."Thank you..." Maru stated as his eyes slid to their corners. "I uhm...guess I could do it as well." Gar smiled and looked over his shoulder to Maru. Thata girl! Even though she was still a bit embarrassed due to the blush that was plastered on her face. As the visit to the music room was wrapping up Gar happened to glance past Maru.He ended up spotting a girl with pink hair....subconsciously Gar's free hand came up and covered the right side of his neck, which under the hood it was concealed but if one happened to see theyd find his flesh was at the end stage of severe bruising. He didnt even notice until his hand made contact with his neck.He turned his head and glanced at his hand...his eyes then slithered to the pink headed girl again...there was a sense of fear swirling in the teens head at this moment...but he wasnt quite sure why.He felt uneasy...he quickly decided to look away not wanting to make eye contact.Thats when he caught sight of a blind girl....Gar raised a brow. Well...that was odd...Gar thought it mightve been rather dangerous for a blind person to be walking around here....but...he guessed she really wanted to go on this tour! Then Gar caught sight of Maru waving at her..smooth Maru. He rolled his eyes.It was a kind gesture sure but....itd go unappreciated to the blind girl. However it was a bit funny! Lady Mitsu soon gave her final regards and Saiph gave her final words to both Ms. Fife and Lady Mitsu about how the piano was crooked! Was Saiph a neat freak maybe....? No...that wasnt it.....symmetric OCD?Gar gave up trying to figure out which it was as Saiph moved the tour forward. They passed several offices and across from those was a room that resembled a recording studio! "....Wow....they take the musical arts seriously...." Gar stated to no one in particular. They went on to proceed to the second floor. As they passed what seemed to be a large green room...well Gar couldnt even give it justice with words...it was peaceful looking....man this school put its funds to good use. They then went to the third floor and was shown to the three separate dance studios. As they walked Gar turned his head slightly in the direction of Marus voice while adjusting the bag on his shoulder."Thanks...for sticking up for me there. No one really ever does..." Maru said softly and with a sincere smile. Gar rubbed the back of his head with his free hand and steered his head away for a moment as he replied. "Well....y-you know.....some exposure might be good for you, myself included.Sometimes....people er...tend to focus on the wrong attributes other people are blessed with...maybe...I can see something in you that they cant...maybe,not even yourself.Besides....Im always up for new experiences and opportunities." Gar said promptly but soft enough to keep away from eavesdroppers. Maru seemed to be a better and more beautiful person then she gave herself credit for.It was actually nice to see her self esteem get kicked up a notch. The group soon neared the kitchen and Gar found Maru snickering to herself."Last year Saiph set a microwave on fire...while she was making cereal." Maru stated. Gar's mouth gaped open a bit trying to take that in.With a funny look on his face he whispered. "She...She tried to cook cereal in the microwave?!" How could you mess that up! A 3 year old can make ceral. A bowl,a spoon, cereal which is pre made and in a box and of course milk! No heat/heating required!Maru then offered Gar a friendly warning that Saiph made her way into the kitchen he should make it a point to vacate the building! Ok...at this point Gar really thought Maru was kidding. As they entered the kitchen a thick french accent sounded. "Non, non. You know you are not allowed in the kitchen." Saiph was then literally pushed out the door as the woman called her a complete and utter Jynx in the kitchen! Gar voiced to himself. "Guess you werent pulling my leg after all..."The assumed culinary teacher swiftly locked the door, keeping Saiph outside. It wasnt long before the french lady introduced herself as Gardenia BUT the students were to refer to her as Ms. Turrant.Yep! She was indeed the culinary teacher....cuz next she began to describe all the stuff shed be teaching how to cook. Gar groaned under his breath and covered his stomach with his free hand as it silently growled. Ms. Turrant was making the teen hungry...after all hours ago he had tossed all his lunch overboard on the boat here to Japan... Gardenia soon turned her attention back to Saiph and laughed before informing her that she was NOT allowed in the kitchen under any circumstance. "Last time you entered I had to jump out of the window to avoid what could have been imminent death." Gardina reminisced. Gar took note...yea if Saiph was around the kitchen hed get the f*ck outta dodge and step to the side of the fan before the sh*t hit it..

Adriane Berner Adrian watched as the Amazonian found confidence, though she wondered if that would be the case when it was time to disrobe. The Neko smiled and even waved to her, which Adriane returned as she wondered if she'd been caught staring. It was hard to miss the girl and she knew it was quite rude to be focusing so much on one person. However when the girl waved to someone else and then looked embarrassed, Adrian looked over to see that one of the students was blind and snickered. Grinning herself as she did but hiding her teeth with her hand out of habit. She wondered just how long she could keep her teeth from this crowd, literally and figuratively. There were a few good looking people, all of them too young for her though and that was what posed a problem. She assumed that she'd have to take up that problem with either the cafeteria... or the school nurse?
That's when she noticed purple hoods actions, his hand move to his neck and for a brief second she smelled sweat. 'There goes my cover...' she thought, but mused why such a boy would be appealing as food. The only thing he had going for him was he could easily look like either gender but the mood would be spoiled once the boy got excited, as food often did. Vampirism often being the precursor to other things.
She mused and the tour continued she picked up her pace though, curious about this purple hood. '...Wow... they take the musical arts seriously..." He said as they passed the recording studios. Adriane found herself eyeing them as well, enough that she got separated from the two and had to work her way back through the crowd only to land in an oppressive sun room. "Honestly," she muttered as she fiddled with the coverage of her sleeves. It would be peaceful at night but for her the daytime made it something she couldn't enjoy. Needless to say she was glad to be out of the room and found herself near the blind girl as they went to the third floor. "So... are you going to be taking the music class?" she asked, not really being able to catch up with the others. Trying was wearing her out and there were tons more buildings to go.
The blind girl seemed to be focusing through the stairs but at the top she turned and asked if Adriane was speaking to her. "Yeah, I was... I didn't think it would be right to say, 'hey blind girl'...I'm Adriane, by the way." It was a pretty awkward way to introduce herself but then again, she hadn't known any blind people. Sure there had been people with one eye and stuff like that but this was new for her and she was sobered by the fact that she really didn't know if the blind liked being randomly spoken to. She looked to the side to see that the girl was pink in the face and tried not to sigh. It seemed that she was shy and that Adriane had been too forward.
In awkward silence the two of them entered the culinary rooms and Adriane mentioned where they were for the other girls sake, that seemed to relax the girl a bit and Adriane told her that the warm room was a garden of some sort and that they'd passed a bunch of dance rooms. However she didn't expect much to come back from the girl... probably because the blind had super senses. She'd heard of the blind knowing where people were, even vampires before they spoke. "I'm going to go say hi to some people, I'll fall back later when we move... so I'll see you later." She didn't think twice about her words, after all it was something she normally would say and honestly didn't feel bad that the girl couldn't see.
Moving her way around she finally reached Neko girl and Purple Hood, "Hey," she voiced, sending hairs on end on the hood and making the other look down. She leaned into the boy and whispered, "You've been bitten before right? So what clan, do you know? Are you an escaped sex slave to some pervert who likes 'em underage? Was it a girl... a guy? Did they take you to 'pound town?' Common, give me deets!" All the while she grinning to rival the Cheshire Cat. She knew the reactions when people had been bitten unwillingly and wasn't shy about asking questions.

Saiph overheard Maru telling Gar that last year she'd set the microwave on fire while cooking cereal. She scrunched up her nose a bit at the comment but could say absolutely nothing about it because it was absolutely true. She'd been warming the milk to make the cereal warm (as it had been a cold day and she wanted warm foods) and well..... it set on fire. She wasn't sure how and no one really ever was. It was just Saiph and how she worked in the kitchen if she wasn't cooking Japanese food or drink--which was the only thing she could do well. Still, this wasn't the first time she'd done something ridiculous. One time she'd been washing dishes and the dishes had caught on fire some how. And of course, anything other than said specified Japanese cuisine generally turned out either on fire or god damn terrifying. She mentioned an appetizer that had to be killed....twice... and in all honesty, those were just mild travesties that happened around Saiph in the kitchen. It was why, even at home, Saiph was not allowed to cook food at all period. No hot pockets, no poptarts..... she could generally handle simple things that didn't require cooking (like cereal, sandwiches, etc) but even so, now and again, she does like things warmed or something and well....that's when s**t once more hits the fan.
Speaking of-- Gardenia came out of the kitchen and effectively ejected her out of it with her. She was told she knew better and that she wasn't allowed in the kitchen at all because she was a jinx. "I wasn't technically in the kitchen....just my head was" Saiph interjected. Of course, Gardenia soon saw why she'd poked her head in. It was tour time and that said, Gardenia introduced herself with a small apology in French and then in English as she informed the students what she could do for them, what she could teach them--to cook with vim and vigor but she expected the best. Saiph and all of the teachers here did though. This was a school for the best and the brightest...not necessarily academically but still. That did mean they would have to at least put forth their best effort and actually try in all subjects that they took or were required to take.
Saiph heard the giggle and looked at her wife once more before she was told again that she wasn't allowed into the classroom at any time....ever. Last time she came in Gardenia had to leap from the third story window to avoid what could have been imminent death. There was a small sigh and Saiph offered a small smile. She knew she was well loved but....not liked in the least in the kitchen. Lucy cooked better than Saiph did and that really said something considering she was the literal devil. Still, she looked at the students milling around looking at things where they stood and Saiph looked at Gardenia "Love, you wouldn't happen to have a round of drinks and maybe some snacks to go around, would you?" She asked in her smooth, thick, classy 'English' accent. She could sense that some of the students were a bit thirsty at least. Some even hungry and being so near the kitchen was tempting. Not to mention, Saiph herself was hungry--then again she was always hungry so that shouldn't be a surprise.
However, she was distracted from her wife as she overheard a conversation that was probably meant to be private. Then again, it was basically right in front of her and she had excellent hearing which made whispering amazingly ineffective. Then again, Saiph could overhear tons of conversations and make sense of all of them and sort them out where and who they came from without too much difficulty if she was paying attention. She had been looking at the blind girl who had moved herself to the back (likely because she was embarrassed or just shy or didn't want to get in the way--whatever the reason it was likely due to mistreatment at her other schools and she'd be pleasantly surprised at how accepting and helpful students were here) so she had missed quite a few other conversations.
This one however, being so close and so.... amazingly inappropriate as far as privacy boundaries went caught her attention and got her staring right at the pink haired girl. Eye twitch. A flash of red went through her eye--Mono, Saiph's hollow was even annoyed by this girl. For anyone who was near and could sense energy there would be a major spike in spiritual pressure. Her jaw was set, she was about two seconds away from punting this girl out of the window but she felt it would be better, at least on the first day, if another student handled it. She glanced to Maru who was literally standing right there. A neko.... right next to purple-kid.... Saiph was sure Maru noticed the whispering and heard every word of it...just as she had. That said, she also glanced into the back of the group where yet another one of her familiar students had tagged along.... if need be, she knew the girl with the duo-toned hair (Crop) would step in.
ใใใฏๆฆใใฎไพกๅคใใชใๅ ดๅใฏไฝใไพกๅคใใชใ โ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐๐พ โ๐พ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ
Hayami had been at the front of the group at the gates but far off to the side and after more people had gotten there she'd sort of been pushed to the back. It was fine, she was used to basically being put out of sight out of mind...to being shunned into her own little area. She had learned blind people made other people uncomfortable to some extent. They didn't know really how to act around her and either due to her shyness or their discomfort they left. It was hard for her to make friends but she was used to being alone. She had no family as her parents and sister were dead and she had no idea about her grandparents. She was new to the school so she had no friends here and hadn't had any at her last school either due to her blindness. She just sort of expected to be alone and therefore kept her eyes turned down and her head down while everyone chattered and even during the speech from Akira.
She was small and expected to be looked over. She hoped for accommodation but wasn't really expecting it. She'd never had decent accommodation before anyways. She could deal with it she supposed. Regardless, a tour was mentioned and she knew it would be best to be led around so she could learn. One good thing about being blind was that she had good mapping and marking skills. She had to have those in order to get around. Learning what smells, sounds, and such were and where they went would be beneficial so she followed along at the back so she could tap her cane around and not bother anyone. That was really the last thing she wanted to do--bother someone or really even be noticed in general. She was horribly shy and self conscious due to her blindness. She couldn't look someone in the face when she talked to them, she couldn't meet eyes, she couldn't really see what someone looked like (at least not without touching them which could get super weird), there were so many things that just made interacting sort of awkward.
They passed the hospital, the counselor's office, and a shop of sorts that was apparently temporarily shut down and for good reason from the sounds of it. As they entered the building, she stayed behind to feel the door and the handles, the weight of the door and then listened to the footsteps in the hall. Her ears were sensitive though and she heard not only what people were talking about but things like the soft bit of ruffling of Saiph's feathers on her wings, the rustle of the papers on the walls as people walked by.... all sorts of things that others couldn't hear she was sure. Still, as they were introduced to a multitude of rooms she was in awe. God this place was better than she ever dreamed! She gave a few taps in a few of the rooms but she couldn't for the music room as someone popped out from it.
There was the daughter of the English woman (She had no idea Saiph was actually Japanese since she sounded English) leading the tour although there was something odd about her accent. It wasn't quite English....it was..... classier sounding some how. She had no idea how but...it just did. Still the daughter was apparently really talented and a French woman came forth mentioning just that in addition to the fact art was required. She groaned inwardly. She was having such a good time but something like art was so visual and she used to enjoy it so much she nearly wanted to cry hearing she would have to do it. Of course she completely missed the wave from the Neko else she would have returned it but--she was blind. She didn't see it. However, they moved on to a green room and she was peaceful there for the moment they were there. She couldn't read the sign but Saiph told them what each of the rooms were so she was thankful although she really had no idea what the imagination station would be for.
They kept moving on and she continued in the back until a girl asked if she was going to be taking a music class. Hayami had heard her coming and could hear where pretty much everyone was as they walked (although she did still use her cane for wall reference and looking out for things like water fountains and what not. Plus, it was helpful for the stairs as they walked up to the third floor. "Uhm.... I don't think so...." She said softly although there was a bit of a blush to her face. The girl sort of weirdly introduced herself as Adriane and the blind girl nodded "My name is Hayami" She mentioned although as they went past the rooms of the third floor and Saiph told what they were and then the girl Adriane told her where they were exactly, Hayami was starting to get annoyed.
She wasn't dumb, she could figure out where the doors/rooms were. She'd been doing this for a while and she hated being treated differently or like she was incompetent or something. There was a frown on her face--granted she'd had a neutral expression through most of the tour but now it was a flat out frown. Like, she got that people didn't know what to think about someone who was blind and didn't know how to talk to them probably because they thought they'd be distracting them or something but honestly.... no. They were people too. If someone had a question, all they had to do was ask. Hayami would have been happy to answer a 'Do you need any help with ____?' sort of thing as she would have said no, she could handle at least this part or 'yes' if she did need help. She actually thought that was nice but just assuming she couldn't do something made her feel.... well, even worse about herself than she already did.
Another French woman came out and that was apparently the culinary teacher but when she was done with her introduction the frown was now one of sadness as well. When the Adriane girl went off to say 'hi to other people' she was honestly a bit relieved. She was going to ignore her for the moment which meant, she missed everything that was said afterwards by her. Instead, she tapped around while other students looked around. They were interested in the lounge area but those sorts of things didn't really appeal to her since she didn't really use electronics or watch TV or anything. Same for dance, it was very visual although she would maybe consider learning it if only for the health and balance benefits.
What interested her was maybe music but she actually wanted to learn how to cook although she wasn't sure she could. It made her sad but she did want to maybe get a little closer to the kitchen and to the woman named Gardenia. She was shyly curious but felt that cooking was a life skill she wanted to have. She would be on her own and actually living hopefully somewhere decent and she wanted to be able to take care of herself... to cook good foods for herself and any guests. She wanted to be able to eat well but healthily and have variety in what she made. She had started learning simple cooking (mac and cheese, cupcakes, eggs, etc) but it wasn't enough in variety to live by or off of especially since they weren't that good. Her blind cooking was actually pretty awful and she wanted to improve on that desperately if at all possible. Still, as she gradually tapped her way closer she grew self conscious and could only get so close before she looked down and sighed. She couldn't manage to talk to the woman about maybe trying but then at the same time it came to her that she also didn't want to be a bother or a burden. At that point she just.... stopped and waited for the tour to continue....standing at the wall with her cane just sort of holding herself with her arms under her bust. She was in a white button up top and a little cardigan with a pretty patterned skirt (with leaves and flowers on it), white stockings and brown flats that had metal heels so she could hear their echo.

 Maru Kiryu
Maru was enjoying the tour a good bit when she heard someone, probably the pink-haired girl, refer to the blind girl as just that. Blind girl. Maru quirked an eyebrow and just shook her head a tiny bit. That was not how you introduced yourself to someone, that was likely the exact opposite of how you introduced yourself to someone. That would be like saying, "I was going to call you fat neko but I totally decided not to." It wasn't Maru's business though but she was sure that blind girl didn't appreciate it either. She was also pretty sure the girl didn't like being told where they were going. The neko was pretty damn sure the girl could hear the names of the rooms Saiph was calling out to the students as they moved along with the tour.
Saiph was now bringing up getting drinks and food for everyone and that sounded pretty good to the neko she liked the idea of something to eat. Maru was getting both hungry and thirsty but as she waited that same pink-haired girl from before came up to her and Gar. The girl said hey to Maru which got a nod from the neko then bent in to whisper something to Gar. Sadly everything she heard was caught by the neko seeing as well...neko have hearing many times better than a human or most beings to be exact. The tall neko heard every single word that was spoken.
"Are you socially retarded or just a ******** dumbass?" Maru asked this girl who came up and just started assaulting Gar with all these horribly inappropriate questions. "I mean...who the ******** do you think you are?" Maru said showing off her sharp kitty fangs. That side of Maru was starting to show again and it was a side she could show pretty quickly. It was that side that basically said "I'm going to put an arrow in your face." Maru moved to get right into eye's view of this girl as her tail fluffed up and her ears went super erect. Her hair even seemed to pick up and fluff a bit. "Do you start every conversation with, 'I'm an insensitive dipshit?' Or is that your idea of being charming? I can however take your a** to pound town if you want and you won't like it, believe me." Maru said with a snarl on her face. There was always a fight on the first day anyways, maybe it would be this one.
Maru hadn't reached for her bow yet but she would if she had to as this girl and her attitude was starting to piss this neko off. What this girl was doing to Gar was basically bullying as she was immediately crossing boundaries she shouldn't be and that was grounds for Maru to jump in. It had already been seen that Maru would stand up for Gar defensively if he stood up for her emotionally. Now she was standing up for his right to have a ******** private life that didn't involve immediate questions from a complete and total stranger. Pink hair or not Maru would politely shovel arrows into her face if the girl didn't piss off right now. Or maybe apologize.
Hell, at this point in time Maru felt she should personally go apologize to Hayami for treating the girl like she was incapable. s**t, Maru heard what all was said and felt like she HERSELF needed to go apologize. Of course Maru would talk to that girl after she got this situation over with. The neko was quick to anger and this girl had pushed that self-destruct button already.
 Gardenia Velora-Turrant
Gardenia was watching the crowd and soon enough her eyes landed on the poor blind girl who seemed to be getting shoved aside and even being treated a little differently. Gardenia gave a small sigh as she too was "blind" for hundreds of years when she was a ghost. Her vision back then was like basically looking through a turbulant ocean for the longest time since she was drowned. Ever since her soul was put into this awesome robotic body (courtesy of Toji Yasuda) she's finally been able to see normally again. She knows what it's like to have just absolutely awful eyesight. She wanted to go over and try and relax the girl and maybe make her feel more welcome but sadly for the time being the girl seemed to be very afraid of the entire situation. Before she could move though the pink-haired girl came up to the boy Gar and whispered something offensive as hell to him.
Gardenia being a robot picked up on what was said with the greatest of ease, whispering didn't really work out all too well here. Gardenia could actually take in hundreds of conversations at once and actually make sense of them all. That was just how advanced her computer was. She had actually previously scanned the entire crowd of students to get their physical DNA compiled into her database. It wasn't something she did on purpose though it was just sort of something that happened. Still, that girl had said what she did to Gar which got Maru on the defensive. Gardenia just giggled a little and looked at Saiph. "Every year..." She said with a smile. It was true that every year a fight broke out on the first day, this very well could be the fight. Gardenia wasn't about to break it up though, sometimes you had to learn by getting the snot beat out of you.
The woman, who is a robot, just moved towards the crowd and started to pass through people like she was a ghost. She had somehow retained her old abilites as a ghost which was good for her as she could still be clumsy from time to time. The woman moved right on up to Hayami and gave a gentle smile and introduced herself lightly in a gentle tone. "Bonjour." Gardenia stated to let the girl know she was there. Gardenia then gave a very formal curtsy although she was in leather pants so the sound was very distinct. "I am Gardenia Turrant, the cullinary teacher. May I ask you if you will be joining my cullinary class? I would love to have you in it. I can already tell...you are my next head chef." She was really hoping this girl would be taking her class.
Gardenia was completely unaware of what Maru and Adriane were doing right now but she could see Crop from the corner of her eye just sort of tapping her crossed arms. Crop was the resident ******** and if she was arm tapping things could get bad. Gardenia was about to ignore this as well until her alarm beeped and a small arrow pointed at something. There was a quick flare of spiritual pressure which was likely coming from Saiph. She knew things could now get absolutely disgusting she was just hoping that Maru would be allowed to deal with her own fight.
Gardenia gave a small cough which activated a small barrier around both Gardenia and Hayami. The girl didn't need to come into contact with a hollows spiritual pressure, that could just be bad for her. Of course Gardenia had already scanned Hayami but every time she did her vision became scratchey and purple when she scanned for an inner soul. Gardenia would report about that later but for now she felt she would ignore it. The French woman was now merely waiting for her response.

Ms. Turrant would find that Gar's DNA was a bit odd...not super natural...but his DNA seem to be comprised of three different strands.Like that of a human chimera which was quite troublesome. If Gar wanted to kill someone he had a ninty nine point nine percent chance of getting away with it because his DNA was complex and couldn't be traced so easy....(A trait passed to him by his father whom Gar has no clue about.) As Gar and Maru stood and listened the teen didnt hear the pink haired girl make her way up to him.She had moved through the dense crowed with ease and grace.Meanwhile Ms. Turrant Went on to speak with the blind girl.It was sweet of Gardenia to hope that the girl would be joining her class. " I can already tell...you are my next head chef."Was she serious? At the same time...given the crazy stories and things hed seen so far Gar wouldnt be surprised if that blind girl could make a whole 5 star meal...good for her though! It was actually really brave for someone like her to knowingly take on the day....Gar couldnt imagine being blind...if it was him...hed probably never leave his bed....and just sulk day in and day out.... Thats when he heard a silky yet smooth voice come over his shoulder. " "Hey,"You've been bitten before right?" After hearing that string of words...Gars knees felt a little weak, his mouth seemed to run dry for a second...as he swallowed there was a tingle running up his spine....How did she know?!Was she a leecher?Maybe that human intuition of his had been correct after all.... The girl went on to ask if he knew what clan they belonged to,or if he was some runaway sex slave.... "Was it a girl... a guy? Did they take you to 'pound town?' Common, give me deets!" Gar quickly reached for his neck...trying to fight off the rather unpleasant memories which were the means he used to survive on the streets for a while...even though that was all behind him now... In this moment Gar was caught between panic...and rage....Part of him wanted to turn around and smack this chick for asking, the other half just wanted to run away and hide.Maru was right there though as she exclaimed to the shady pink haired girl. "Are you socially retarded or just a f*cking dumbass?" Maru's kitty fangs~ began to show, her tail puffed up and her hair a** well, indicating she was not pleased and rather applaud... "Do you start every conversation with, 'I'm an insensitive dipshit?' Or is that your idea of being charming? I can however take your a** to pound town if you want and you won't like it, believe me." Maru finished chewing her out with a snarl. It would be then that Maru would feel Gar grasp her wrist....Indicating that it was ok,and he wanted her to keep cool. His arm would be shaking a bit,and his grip would tighten as he mustered the energy to retort to the Leecher. He peered over his shoulder at the pink haired girl.Though Gar held a solemn expression....clearly she had struck a rather sensitive chord...One of the teens eyes was covered by his bangs, the other glaring right at her.He then spoke though his voice wavered at first but seemed to harden as he continued. "You...You have a lot of nerve asking about something like that...." Gar stated rather monotone....his eyes slid to the side as he continued. "No,Its...not even like that....at one time...I had to make personal sacrifices in order to just...eat....Im not proud of it...but if I hadnt...Id be a rotting corpse in a ditch somewhere right now....and that's all you need to know...now drop it...." Gar finished with a shaky breath. Though it was obvious there were more juicy details but Gar wasnt up for discussing it,especially not right in the here and now. The atmosphere in the room seemed to change and Gar could feel it on his skin...it was coming from someone...like an irritation sort of feeling...but who? Gar turned his head back straight and would release Maru's wrist. This wasnt Maru's war to fight, though he appreciated her will to fight it.Gar wouldnt like to be caught in the middle of a super natural fight this early on....and besides Saiph was right there...and that energy seemed to be emitting from her person...she wasnt pleased....and frankly that energy made Gars stomach do flips!

Adriane Berner Adriane knew it wouldn't go well, but then again, no one understood her line of questioning, even when she felt it necessary to know what she was dealing with. She could feel the teacher's anger, teachers were always angry. She watched the bristle of the Amazon as she got tough for her friend, that was expected, threats were expected and she knew she couldn't get out of it without a few lumps from either teacher or student but she felt it necessary.
"Oy, it might be a little insensitive, but I need to know how badly your friend was treated by someone who he's already decided is 'my kind.'" She replied to the Amazon, who was already in a fighting stance. "I asked about the clan, because some are truly terrible, even to volunteers and make it hurt as much as possible when really there's no need. I need to know if it was a girl so I can understand that my gender might be a problem too. Most importantly I need to know if he was assaulted, because then I have to change all of my schedules around him so we don't have classes at the same time or in the same year if there's only one time offered. I'm trying to be considerate on thirty minutes of sleep this morning before I got my little sister ready for school, fed, dressed and happy so Ma could not worry what time she got home from work while Mom's on a business trip. This right here," she gestured between herself and Purple Hood, "This might not work, but it is my business to know where and when I'm unwanted. I'll take my lumps for coming off 'unkind, rude, inappropriate, and annoying.' I'll apologize however is needed for offending anyone," at this point she looked over the crowd and the boy told her that she had a lot of nerve asking and that he had only been striving to survive. She looked at him for a moment, sizing him up a bit and trying to see if he was over it but didn't think so with the way he would touch his neck.
Adriane looked back up at the Amazon, "I have no problem with that pounding you're so ready to serve up, without retaliation. Honestly I'm too tired to want to expend the energy avoiding it for something that came from a place of consideration, however botched. I just wanted to know how afraid your friend was just because I have to eat from people. I can't change it, I can't change the fear of others. I can only change where I am at what times and how far away I walk to avoid being around them. Of course I would prefer to not have to." Adriane paused, kind of upset and aware that she was making it more than it needed to be. She was just frustrated and tired, grumpy that morning came too soon. Who was the Amazon to say how she should talk or conduct her business? However she took a breath and then said "I guess I assumed that the two of you could understand that what I am isn't who I am, how I talk doesn't necessarily convey my feelings and even if I'm 'hard to deal with,' or 'too blunt,' or even 'looking at you funny' that it could come from a place of good. Those seem to be the complaints I get anyway..."
Turning back to Purple hood she said, "Sorry if I lept some walls, it came from a good place but then again I'm not the most socially refined person. I don't believe in beating around the bush. Just ask your school counselor or whatever not to put you in any class with a girl named Adriane Berner. That should make things easy between you and me... she looked up to the Neko and sighed, "and you and..." she looked out behind her, " anyone else who'd rather avoid me than get to know me."
With a nod to the amazon she turned and looked Saiph dead in the eye moving forward and parting the seas as there was not a lot of attention on her. She stopped in front of the antlered woman and said, "So... where does this leave us? You mentioned snacks earlier and I've brought some for me but seeing as there's someone who isn't over a pretty bad experience I can leave... go to the principal for whatever punishment this scene has caused. Take whatever that aggression pent up within you has in store for me. It wasn't supposed to be this big..." She waited as she fiddled with her sleeves, looking up at the woman and not really knowing what to expect. She'd honestly never meant to cause trouble, but had her way of finding it and this person seemed like she'd end Adriane easily.

Saiph watched Gardenia go towards the blind girl. She was glad it was Gardenia as Saiph knew the girl would pick up on that she was big, tall, and loud. Gardenia was softer and had been blind for a time so she could better relate anyways which seemed needed as the girl looked so so sad. However, her attention was quickly returned to what was likely going to be a fight before her. Although Saiph was annoyed, it wasn't her fight to fight. That was up to Maru and Gar and what they wanted to do with the irritating socially retarded girl. Maru had at her verbally calling her out on such asking if she was socially retarded or just a dumb a**. And she brought up a good point....who did this girl think she was? Saiph had heard what had been said and had seen what she'd done with the blind girl.
She could tell that while the girl was used to people 'helping' and that the vampire probably meant well, it was not well received or appreciated in the least. Saiph understood that but didn't think it struck the girl that she didn't need help getting around. Besides, Saiph felt if anyone had a right to be annoyed it was the girl who couldn't see who was on a basically visual tour although Saiph was doing her best to make it an audio tour as well with her descriptions of where the rooms were, which were which and what they were used for. It was the LEAST she could do to help accommodate. Still, Gar took Maru's hand to get her to calm down a little and told the vampire that she had a lot of nerve asking something like that--something so extremely personal. Surprisingly, he told her what was up to some extent but at the same time it clearly bothered him. He did what he needed to do to survive... Saiph understood that too. For the very beginning of her life, for several years, she'd lived on the streets herself doing whatever she could to survive.
That was rough, perhaps Saiph would talk to him later if he took her class or something. At the very least Maru would be in her class again....maybe he'd take it with her? That would be fun and she was sure Maru would appreciate his company. All the same, the vampire girl mentioned she was being a 'little insensitive' but she needed to know how he was treated who someone who he already decided is her kind. Weird. It's not like people chose their races at least not most of the time and if Gar had had people feeding from him.... and said they were vampires.... they probably were just that. There was no decision in it. She asked about clan.... basically for information. She asked for gender to see if hers would be a problem--although clearly it wasn't since he was already friends with Maru who was also a girl. Plus he hadn't shown an inklet of discrimination against the vampire girl for what she was in the least. He was only uncomfortable because of what she did and how she'd acted. That wasn't being racist or anything in the least. That was....actually a pretty appropriate response.
She asked if he'd been assaulted to see if she needed to change her schedules so they didn't have classes at the same time and whatever. Saiph lost interest in her excuses. She had only slept 30 minutes because she had responsibilities? Boo hoo. Saiph hadn't slept in more than 2 days and she was still functioning just fine and rather appropriately and of course taking care of her responsibilities all the same as well. That thought made her sip at her coffee thermos although it was also a mask for her annoyance. The girl was defensively apologizing and saying her questions had come from a good place. Yet she was STILL saying that it WAS her business to know how afraid he was if only so she knew where and when she was unwanted. This was especially true considering what she had to eat to survive.
Was this girl guilt tripping them? Or rather trying to....? She assumed that the two of them could understand that what she was wasn't who she was. Puh-lease! Again Saiph mentally brought up that they hadn't had a problem until she'd done what she did. They didn't have a problem with any of the other vampires....just her. She apologized again saying that he should see the school counselor or whatever to not be put in a class with a girl named Adriane Berner. She extended it to Maru and anyone else who'd rather judge than get to know her but she had done just the same. The girl then approached Saiph--not a wise move. Clearly the girl was stupid if she couldn't feel the pressure that was being put off from Saiph. It was basically her silent version of 'go the ******** away' and it had not been heeded. If Saiph wasn't so mild-tempered and easy going, things would be going a lot worse already. Although there was always room to make it worse--she could always see if she could push Saiph to do something awful like punt her out the window or rip her head off and turn her skull into a wine glass or something.
Adriane walked right up to the demon and mentioned that she could leave, go to the principal or even take the aggression Saiph was putting off. The shiki crossed her arms and gave the girl a stare. "Akira has much better things to deal with than a girl who offends people... cool your tits" She said as she pushed up her sunglasses on her nose. She was not a woman who gave pretty much any shits for things like this. However, she did look right down at the girl who was nearly a foot shorter than her as were most. She even leaned down to be on eye level with the girl and let her icy blue eyes be seen...they were sharp and almost seemed to glow as they pierced into the girl as if staring right into her soul which, for Saiph, very well could be the case. "Let me tell you something kid.... what you just pulled....super unacceptable. With that, you're likely cruisin' for a bruisin' if you get that" She said. Yes, she was implying the girl was dense as that's what she was getting from her.
"First off, neither of them had any problems with any of the other vampires here.... and probably won't because they didn't do anything. People here don't really give a s**t what you are. What counts is who you are... how you act and portray yourself and what you do" She said as she gestured to several other students who were all pinching their noses hoping not to be lumped in with her as she'd just made a complete a** of herself with her actions. They were all vampires--she wasn't the only one. There were many races present and always were. "As for you, you did the exact same thing you thought they were doing--judging. You assumed they would judge you and treat you badly because of what you were and ended up making a complete a** of yourself because none of that was any of your business... at all... for any reason. He obviously doesn't have a problem with girls. He might have gotten nervous and may still from a vampire being near but that doesn't mean he shouldn't or hasn't learned to deal with them. Plus, he probably does know that just because you're a vampire doesn't make you a monster... or in your case, a c**t wagon" She said coolly. Her nostrils flared. She could smell Crop coming closer.
Saiph stood up straight again and sipped her coffee. "You'll find people here are actually pretty accepting if you give them the chance and don't act the way you just did because....it's unacceptable. That said, assuming things, acting like a d**k-wipe, then making excuses for yourself.... still makes you an unlikable d**k-wipe" She gave a nod "Long story short--try introducing yourself and doing some small talk, getting to know people before you leap into super potentially triggering personal questions. It'll save you the effort of whatever the ******** you just did that I think was your attempt at an apology. Sort of. Shorter story....learn some social skills" She phrased bluntly. These were high school kids....this was a battle academy where they'd be seeing blood, maybe even death if something extraneous happened. The use of curse words was common--by some more than others. Saiph used them more to make a point than anything and if it was something like this the kids tended to think it was funny. Whether she was annoyed or being a goof, they still found it funny unless it was directed at them--and Saiph was notoriously protective of her students. Maru was one of those so this girl had picked the wrong Neko to bother. In fact, once this girl was out of her face, Saiph would likely go see about Maru and her new friend.

Hayami stood sort of pressed to the wall just looking down and holding onto herself uncomfortably. She didn't like to be noticed. It was part of why she stood in the back--of course there were other reasons like... it was less noisy for her to be in the back and she wouldn't get in the way of anyone with her cane since she could generally tell how far away everyone was via their footsteps so she wouldn't poke anyone with her cane. That said, right now she was in her own little world at the moment just thinking about how this school might be just the same as all the others-- she'd get the lecture notes printed out in braille and she'd get to sit in, she'd be typing up every homework with her old type writer since each key had a marking that was different or, for something like math, she would likewise have to have a private meeting for homework to be done with the teacher or with someone who could help her write in the appropriate spaces. Math could be done in braille after all. Geography though.... she wasn't so sure about.
As for the aspect of art and cooking and even dance.... she had no idea how that would go but after all these years of being told she couldn't she felt....she probably couldn't. She wasn't a normal girl anymore and it hurt her very heart. She wanted to do so many things but being blind and having to do all the things she did already was exhausting enough. Hell, she'd love to sing and if she was going to take a music class it would likely be that one. She could learn the parts and practice the part for such much easier than an instrument she felt since she did already know how to sing-- not that she felt she was any good. Still she knew she had to take some electives and that was what she was pondering since she loved music and really wanted to cook. She could learn how to fight and such but.... for her personally right now that was a lot less useful. Sure, this was a battle academy but...she literally knew nothing about fighting. She was here for the academics. Maybe she'd learn that stuff later or maybe even privately if possible.
Her mind was distracted by a distinct sound of leather that was coming towards her and then the french woman from before greeted her or someone near her. However, based on her voice she was looking right at Hayami and the girl knew no one was close enough to her to mistake her for anyone else. The woman she'd been trying to maybe get close to and think about talking was right there! How embarrassing.... god Hayami wanted to sort of just slink away now but that would be rude. Mrs Turrant asked something that surprised the girl though--if she'd be in her cooking class as she'd love to have her. She could already tell that she'd be her next head chef. Hayami stared at her with her mouth slightly open as a blush came into her cheeks. Her hands held onto one another absently as she nervously played with her fingers and looked down.
Her anxiety was built up to the point that she didn't even notice the odd barrier go up to guard against the spiritual pressure released. She was unaware of the potential fight about to happen as she'd been completely ignoring where the girl from before had gone off to. She'd just been glad she was gone. Still, she did notice the quietness that seemed to come from being within the barrier and that was nice. Her big issue with crowds was that it was so loud. It was the same with pretty much any crowd--guided tours, classrooms, anywhere with a large amount of people she preferred to be in the back where it was less loud. She realized though there'd been a good pause for her where she had not replied yet and she just kept looking down only for a moment more before looking at Gardenia....right about where her mouth was since that was where the sound came from. She had no idea where her eyes were but that was about the closest she could get which was pretty good considering....
"It's nice to meet you" She said before clearing her throat. "M-My name's Hayami Hisakawa" She mentioned as her head lowered and she was looking down once more almost out of shame. The last cooking class I tried was....really visual.... I would just slow everyone else down" She shook her head. She had done terribly in that class and she knew she'd been an annoyance to her classmates and she didn't want that. She wanted to at least sort of pretend she was normal and not need special help but that wasn't the case especially in things like....cooking. Still she felt her answer was clear enough-- she'd probably not be in her class. She didn't want to be a bother to anyone and didn't really want to be the one who always needed special attention and such.
Of course, the tone in her voice indicated that she did want to cook but she was... not confident enough to even want to try. Her wants and what she could actually do (as far as she was concerned) were mismatched and completely different which was why she was.... so sad seeming all the time. She shifted on her feet but didn't lift her heels as she did. She was... horribly upset about things right now and she just wanted to go hide and possibly cry. She did that a lot...it wasn't uncommon for her...
((OOC: Since it's just her and Gardenia at the moment Imma post with her since I can right now)) ((Edit: I put in Saiph's post now! Will continue out of order potentially with Hayami since they're still sort of alone))

 Maru Kiryu
Maru was still ready to bust this girl's chops when Gar grabbed her wrist. That was basically his sign to let him handle it so she would. Maru respected his choice to stand up for himself so instead she just fell silent and watched them trade conversation. Gar seemed pretty offended himself and that was likely to be fairly natural the girl had definitely started that conversation off on the worst possible foot anyone really could. It was a horrible choice of words and was even blurted out before the girl even freaking gave the guy her name. Maru was glad however that Gar was standing up for himself. As he spoke though Maru could feel herself sadden a bit, she sort of wished she hadn't heard that really.
Maru remained quiet as the girl spoke until she stated that she had to eat from people. "Do know here at the Shotoken we've had tons of vampire before you...If you bite a student and turn them, or kill them, or without consent...expect Akira to show you the surface of the sun at point blank range." Maru gave that out as an honest to goddess warning. She had seen it happen last year to be exact. "Just warning you beforehand...Yoko...the school nurse hands out fresh and warm blood packets for vampires..." Maru added before giving a small sigh. The girl apologized, somewhat, in the most self-defensive manner ever. Maru was still just sort of eyeing her though.
The girl begun up a scene to try and win over some pity points with everyone else and Maru just rolled her eyes. She wasn't going to get in on talking anymore with this girl. First impressions were important and this girl's first impressions didn't win her over in the least. "I can spot at least seventy other vampires in the crowd..." She mumbled before moving over to lean against the wall. She watched the girl for the moment before looking back to Gar and giving him a small frown. She was still sort of upset to hear that this girl had basically gotten him to drag up some obviously painful memories.
"I'll think about getting to know as long as you keep your foot out of your mouth and your nose out of strangers business...I'm not the one who has to accept your long-winded, self-defending apology anyways." Maru said with a shrug. She wasn't about to beat this girl's face in anymore at least which was a good thing. "Just note...making excuses for being an a**...still makes you an a**." Maru said with a shrug of the shoulders. The neko may have been shy about a few things but there were also things that could cause her to break down her wall of shyness pretty quickly. She had the look of a girl who could be extra confrontational, which she could be. Maru normally had a big fat filter over everything she said until stuff happened to friends. She hadn't known Gar for very long but she already considered the guy a friend.
Maru then went to staring at the celing, she was done talking. She didn't know if her words carried any weight as she was likely blowing smoke as they say but Maru said what she felt she needed to. Her words weren't pretty and they were obviously angry but sometimes you just have to say what you've got to say. Maru didn't back down well, and she didn't even calm down well. This was why she was staring at the ceiling. Her heart was still pounding in her chest and her pupils were extra slitted at the moment. She had little to else to say though as she had said just about all of it.
 Gardenia Velora-Turrant
Gardenia was fairly glad she couldn't hear anything outside of her barrier, it was nice and quiet in there and with that said that was probably a relief to Hayami. Gardenia was much like the girl in the fact that she also liked things to be a bit quieter around her. Too bad Gardenia couldn't give the girl her cybernetic eyes seeing as they'd likely reject the body. For now however this barrier would have to do as a form of privacy as well as a way to keep the girl from having to deal with the spiritual pressure coming off of Saiph at the moment. Gardenia did know though if that pressure didn't go down soon that girl would likely be a stain on the wall, or ceiling or Saiph's boot.
The French woman heard the girl speak though and smiled when she introduced herself but then immediately after frowned. Her previous teachers had turned cooking into a visual art which was just a disgrace to the art of cooking. The girl swore she would slow Gardenia and the others down and that caused Gardenia to give a very gentle shake of her head. "That is, as they say, washed hogs. Cooking is not a visual art in the least, it is an art that one does with her heart, and soul. Allow me to tell you something..." Gardenia said as she dropped back as if she was going to sit. She just sort of stopped and sat on the air however which was something she could do when she was still a ghost.
"I was blind until only a few years ago. It wasn't very long ago that I was made into a robot. You see...I was a ghost for hundreds of years after I was stabbed and drowned by my lover. Dark past aside. My vision always looked as if I were under a turbulant sea so to keep myself from always being so nauseous I blinded myself with needles. I was blind for so long and yet I learned how to cook because my heart and soul were forever a part of cooking. To cook is to open your soul up to the ingredients, not to open your eyes. Eyes are the best way to ruin good food. Instead you have the best senses for cooking heightened. Your smell, your hearing, and your taste. You can smell and hear when your food is at the pinnacle of perfection and your taste is doubly as refined as anyone else's. I have produced masterpiece after masterpiece and I do so...with my eyes closed. Were I to open them my food would be ruined. I see now with my eyes closed the foods you will invent will inspire even me. You have more potential then everyone else...even myself." Gardenia said and she said with all honesty. Gardenia believed every single word that was said.
This girl, this timid girl Gardenia could feel being the world's greatest chef. Fife had produced the world's greatest composer, it was now time for Gardenia to give to the greatest art the world has ever known. The art of making a meal. Food was her passion and she could feel that if this girl didn't attend her class she would miss out on showing the world something truly amazing. Yes, punching a hole in the moon was amazing but to Gardenia it was nothing compared to the desserts and entrรฉes this girl could produce. Her food would be something to talk about and that was what Gardenia saw.
 Crop Rider
Crop was sitting there watching the entire scene with sort of this amused smirk on her face. She couldn't believe someone could be so quickly deemed as socially unacceptable. That was probably the fastest it had ever happened. Crop could see why though the girl probably picked the absolute worst combination of words. Crop was a loudmouth who didn't have a filter but she didn't have a keen case of foot in mouth disease. Crop could say some pretty terrible stuff but not to people who didn't have it coming. There was one thing Crop would do though. She would plant her fist into someone's mouth the moment they started spewing stupid at her. Crop got that trait from her mom Whip. She also got it from standing up for her big sister all the time which was pretty funny that Crop had to do that. She didn't mind though.
"Damn, tha's 'bout the brightest girl in school." Crop said in her deep Southern Brooklyn accent, which was where her mom was from. Crop wanted to go over there and punch that girl in the teeth, then tell her everything would be okay and that people aren't as quick to judge as some others. The face punch would be to get the girl to be a bit less mouthy. Crop cracked her knuckles, cracked her neck and put her headphones down around her neck. If Maru wasn't going to punch that girl Crop sure as hell was. She hadn't punched anyone today anyways.
When she took her first step though her bright blue eyes caught something that made her pretty much stumble. The teacher Gardenia had moved over to talk to some girl, some beautiful angel of a girl. Crop stumbled, went slack jawed and stared. Hayami was her name and she was gorgeous. "Who is? Is'sat? She's...jus'...beautiful." Crop said as she stared right at the girl. That barrier the teacher had erected probably kept Crop from being heard but that meant she couldn't hear Hayami either. The girl was an angel and Crop couldn't help but stare at her. The mere sight of the beautiful girl got Crop in a much better mood. The girl's pale, silky skin shined brilliantly even in the fake florescent light, and that black hair shined like the most polished and beautiful of onyx. "She's gotta be an angel..." Crop muttered before she took a step forward and stepped on some guy's foot.
The guy gave a yelp which brought Crop back to reality. "Oi, my bad there dude. Didn' mean ta go steppin' on ya like that." Crop said with a quick smile. She gave the guy a small pat on the back and he just smiled back to her. The students were generally pretty chill. "I gotta go stop that girl fer she gets Saiph to rip her skull outta 'er head an' turnin' it into a ********' coffee mug." Crop said with a small laugh. She was sure Saiph had done something like that before since the woman had done all sorts of things in her lifetime.
Crop hopped out of line and ran right up to the girl with pink hair and gave a smile to both her and Saiph. "'Ey there Saiph I uhm...I'm jus' gonna take this here girl fer a moment." Crop said with a smile before turning to Adriane and trying to throw an arm around her shoulder. "Le's go there Pinky...fer ya get all sorts'a ******** up. Ya don't get in Saiph's face 'less yer lookin' to get your teeth knocked out." Crop said with a smile. She was trying to save this girl from a vicious a** beating. She could smell the a** beating and it smelled like shame, blood, poop, and maybe a bit of uncontrollable bladder action and Crop just felt the need to save the girl the pain and Saiph the time.
Name's Crop, and don' go thinkin' that there're people who ain't gonna try and befriend ya. We're generally a pretty chill bunch 'til ya go proddin' in what ain't yer business. I mean...ya may think it's yer business...but it ain't." Crop said as she tried to lead the girl away from Saiph and back into the crowd of students. "Don' mean that I ain't gonna get all in yer business though...'cause...'s who I am. I mean...maybe tha's who you are but ya gotta be more tactful ya know? Can't go up an' be like...'Yo...you like sodomy?' Get me?" Crop was trying to be friendly to this girl who had basically singled herself out as public enemy number one.
Crop was going to go and walk back to where Hayami was but her heart basically skipped a beat and she even broke out into a small blush. She obviously had to stand somewhere else. "Ya we can uhm...get ta know each other an' all that good s**t...Where ya wanna do that? Maybe in the crowd somewheres?" She asked Adriane. She would get to the bottom of this girl's social awkwardness and maybe wonder why she didn't just stay at a dorm and maybe sleep in. Crop slept in all the time, but she was generally pretty lazy.

Hayami missed Crop looking at her now that they were in this.... quiet area. A bubble of peace which was super nice for the blind girl. It was a relief really although she was still aware that there were others around her looking at the rooms--the lounge area in particular. She was blissfully unaware of the energy being put off by Saiph as well as most of what was being said save for Gardenia. That said, Hayami was a bit surprised that Gardenia didn't think she'd slow anyone down with her lack of eye sight. She mentioned that cooking wasn't a visual thing--it was something one did with their heart and soul. The girl was still looking down but gave a small nod. She wasn't buying into it just yet. In addition to getting a lot of 'you can't do this' she'd also gotten a lot of false encouragement which just set her up for failure--like with previous cooking classes. It was why she was so hesitant and torn. She wanted to but didn't want to be made to hurt again--to feel so sad she couldn't bear it all over a disability she didn't choose.
However, Gardenia wanted to tell her something and as Hayami listened she was a bit taken aback by the fact the woman was a robot now--but was a ghost before hand?! She was wide eyed, it couldn't be helped but she was silent and respectful as she listened since that obviously wasn't the point trying to be made. Instead, though, she found that she had something in common with the woman. Gardenia had once been blind and therefore knew what it was like to be blind....although she'd done it to herself. Hayami felt that at least it probably was better than what she'd described. Blackness wasn't sickening in any way just.... dark and for a little girl, even a girl her age, a bit scary at times. However, the point came up that Gardenia felt that one who was blind actually had the advantage in the kitchen and she thought Hayami had even more potential than even herself.
The girl was starting to at least consider buying into this whole cooking thing again--at least trying it with this teacher. She shifted a bit uncomfortably with a question she wanted to ask but instead she gave a small sigh and glanced up at the french woman before looking down again "I...." She started but gave another pause. "My parents were against vaccinating their kids.... my sister and I...." She started still staring downwards as she bit her lip a little. Her words were soft and chosen carefully. She spoke slowly because it was a bit of a hard topic "My little sister got measles at preschool and gave it to me....and we didn't get treated for it. They didn't believe in going to the doctors" Another long pause passed and she gave a small sigh as the frown grew a bit bigger on her face "She.... died and I...I went blind" She mentioned daring to glance up at Gardenia again. "My parents were taken to jail and I was put in foster care but.... no place ever stuck. People would pick me up and take me home because they felt bad for me.... I was a charity case.... but my actual needs were too much for most to handle so I'd get taken back a lot until I just.... left" She said with a small indifferent shrug. She was implying just what she had done. She'd run away, lived in a shelter while attending school and now she was here because she did so well and was assured her needs could be better met here.
She remained staring down for a while. Her parents were the type who.... weren't exactly huggy/touchy-feely and after being blind and basically being sent home with strangers so many times Hayami wasn't exactly into hugs or being touched in any way herself. Although, to be fair, all she really needed were some hugs and maybe some cuddles. "Mrs Turrant....?" She basically whispered. She was looking down as she felt tat tightness in her chest. She was upset enough by both the frustration and annoyance from the girl as well as the story she just told in addition to her own insecurities that she was close to tears but she wanted so much not to cry right now. She'd fight it. "Can I ask you something?" She asked. There was a sort of urgency in her voice... a plea for Gardenia to say yes.
When the french woman indeed said yes Hayami smiled a little. "What is it like to see again? I mean.... are things as pretty as you remember? Do you....like it?" She asked. She knew she'd probably never get the chance to have her sight restored as hers was brain damage and the lack of connection or communication/signal between her brain and eyes had essentially killed her eyes....but she did want to know. She missed the golden winter mornings and seeing the snow fall, watching someone dance to music only they could hear, seeing rainbows in the distance after the rain had stopped and the sun came out, seeing the stars and moon at night drifting through the dark blue sky.... She missed these sorts of things in addition to what skills she could have once more with vision like....being able to play certain sports or do certain things with much greater ease.
Of course she was still pondering taking the class and wanted to ask a question about that too--if maybe she could try it first without committing or maybe try it with just Gardenia alone so she didn't feel bad about slowing down everyone, not having enough time for her cooking, hogging the teacher or any of it....she just kind of wanted to be by herself when trying something so potentially delicate and painful for her very being although she doubted she'd get the time to do so from the woman. She had to be busy after all...

Gar turned around and faced the pink hair girl. His feminine purple orbs finding the iris's of her eyes. "Do know here at the Shotoken we've had tons of vampire before you...If you bite a student and turn them, or kill them, or without consent...expect Akira to show you the surface of the sun at point blank range." That was a hearty threat...but Maru also made it known that the school offered leechers blood packs. Though as Gar stared at the girl...he noticed...she was out during the day...?Now knowing what she was....this wasnt exactly normal though she seemed to try her best to cover the skin she could....This girl seemed to babble on but Gar got the jest of what she wanted to know...but...frankly Gar wasnt assaulted....he hadnt been victim of attack,or abuse...no....Gar willingly gave himself to vampires (both genders) before he was taken in by Getoth and Iris. Yes...it was dangerous....stupid even...but...it was a quick way to make fast cash....blood straight from the tap and nice company....Yet...he had never been completely drained or taken advantage of by any vampire....They often pitied him for stooping to such a level, but yet were fascinated that he would even do something so dangerous....in a rather messed up way.....Gar also kinda liked it...Vampires were sensual creatures...they were always infatuating....which made things a bit easier...Still....Gar knew that what he was doing...it was wrong...and no way to live. But he had caught a lucky break and now here he was.The funny thing about memories...Gar was a terrible cliche....he only had a handful, and those were the ones he was clinging to. This girl she spoke about wanting to avoid classes together and all that jazz.Gar remained silent as she made her way to Saiph expecting punishment....there wasnt any physical punishment but Saiph laid it on thick verbal wise. It was then that a rather ecstatic girl entered on cue.She had the whole rebel look goin on.And she seemed to be pretty "out-there." She had been brave enough to hop herself into an A B conversation between Saiph and Adriane. Her name was....Crop?Rather...peculiar name but...it worked. She was a bit vulgar but not overdosing. Maru apologized in her own little way~ It was probably the nicesest she could do in the moment. sweatdrop Maru looked up to the ceiling trying to cool her head. Yet Gar still looked between,Saiph,Adriane, and crop. He gave a whistle to get Adriane's attention. "Hey....."Gar stated before briefly going silent again. His free hand found his hoodies pocket. He tilted his head for a moment, letting his bangs conceal one of his eyes. "I want you to know......I would never condemn you...nor anyone for what they are....if I did...well,thatd be pretty closed minded of me dont ya think?Just because youre a vampire...doesnt mean youre a bad person.Just next time...don't come on so strong....oh,by the way.The names Gar."He scratched at the bandage over the bridge of his nose.He had forgiven her already even though he had the right not to.At this point the bit of commotion had drawn the attention of the crowed. He mugged some of the on lookers. Well...his first day was certainly booming with excitement.... (Hope this post will suffice! Lots of reading required .-. )

Adriane Berner Adriane took the verbal lashings, understood no one cared but felt that the boy had, at first. The cringe was what set her off, the knowing that he'd been bitten was curious but to know that it was deep seeded and had to do with money was alright. She understood. People getting all worked up about some simple questions, however prying, had annoyed her. The Neko thinking she didn't know a vampire when she saw one annoyed her. She knew it would have to be the school nurse with blood, she'd been to school before. She knew not to eat anybody, she'd been through that lecture and thousands of others before. So it wasn't really surprising for her to hear Saiph's words or how vulgar. It almost felt right and comforting...
Adriane knew that pieces of her were wrong, but she also felt incomplete when she masked them. It was true that she needed work, but it was also true that if people couldn't stand her the way she was they weren't worth her time. She had just taken in a breath when a girl, with pretty pink and purple hair, linked arms and politely told the teacher that she would be taking Adriane away. Adriane was about to ask, 'what for?' as she was being steered away when the answer came out of the girl. "Ya don't get in Saiph's face 'less yer lookin' to get your teeth knocked out." Adriane nodded, more to let the girl know she was listening as her jaw was about as set as it could be, possible from being so close to the oppressive aura of Saiph.
Crop, this girl who kept dragging her back into the crowd, like it was some sort of safety net, went on to tell her that she couldn't get into people's business and that she lacked tact. She nodded reflexively but didn't seem to think her way of doing things was all that bad. The hard hitting questions could always go unanswered, however it seemed that her she would have to learn how to get tact into her.
The girl paused as they got near Hayami and Adriane noticed the blush and smiled as Crop fumbled for words as she offered to get to know Adriane. It wasn't an unreasonable request so she accepted. However the Purple Hood whistled, said his piece and she finally knew his name, Gar.
"Yeah... I'll work on it..." she returned but grinned again, "If you ever need help with that flinch... She left it unfinished, the daggers coming from Maru's eyes plain enough that she wasn't going to be friendly with Gar. That was fine, Adriane didn't care.
"I'm going this way." Adrian voiced, and Crop came to from looking at Hayami to follow her to about the middle of the crowd. It was a safe distance from the main parties. "So, what was it that you wanted to know?" Adrian asked. Crop started off with a question about the dorm, why she hadn't stayed in it and slept in.
"I thought that was pretty well covered..." Adriane returned, a little surprised but then again, she didn't expect everyone to pay attention. "Tabitha, my little sister, couldn't be left alone. Ma come's back tonight from her business trip so I'll be able to sleep in dorms. Mom was late because her boss is a slave driver and couldn't leave the office... She's the vampire and has a frail constitution. Not like these others toughing it out." She gestured around them but at nothing in particular. She then grinned and said, "My turn. Would you be willing to help me not make an a** out of myself? It'll be hard, the last one wasn't finished..." She looked away as she said it, clearly upset but firm in some resolve.
((OOC: I'd like to say sorry. I had a relative come and stay with me and felt that it would be rude to not spend time with them. I'll try to do better in the future.))

Gardenia Velora-Turrant
Gardenia listened to the girl speak and the more the more saddened Gardenia became. She was sorry for this girl that she had to suffer through that especially at such a young age. Gardenia couldn't tell the girl how sorry she was though since she didn't want the girl to feel as if she was in need of someone's pity at the moment. It took a lot she was sure to say what she did and Gardenia respected that from the girl. No girl her age should have to lose their sister then go blind because of idiot parents. That seemed the case with the girl however and that was just sad to know. Gardenia really didn't understand the point of not getting your children vaccinated, it was a good idea that didn't have any horrible repercussions like those morons believed it did.
The girl however turned a question towards Gardenia and the woman thought about it for a moment. It was nice to see again that much was true but she also knew a few things suffered due to it. Her hearing had lessened as did her sense of smell given her internal computer could always amp that stuff right back up. "It is nice to see again yes. To see colors, and faces but it has also hurt a few things in the process. My cooking is one of those things as well as my sense of hearing and smell. I have gone to cooking with my eyes closed." She said with a smile before turning her head to look back at the scene. She was glad to see that Crop had defused the situation. Gardenia probably wouldn't have even known what had happened anyways.
The French woman though for a moment before giving a small smile that the girl wouldn't notice anyways. "Do not worry however. I am sure that the school or yourself will find a way to return your eyesight and if not we will at least make you feel as welcome as we can. Why, if you wish I could give you private cooking lessons. Maybe that would help with your confidence in the beginning." Gardenia said with a nod of her head. She was sure she could do something, anything for the girl. She wanted everyone to understand that cooking was something anyone and everyone could do. She knew there were those who were better at it but she also knew everyone had the ability to cook. Except for Saiph, she was a lost cause...and Saiph's mother Shikimi, she was also a lost cause. Save for those two though she was sure everyone could learn how to cook.
"Do know I have had blind students in the past and have helped them turn around and become great chefs." Gardenia said with confidence. It was true that she had blind students before Hayami so she was sure she could help the girl out. Hayami somehow felt as if she had greater potential then the other blind students she had in the past. She hadn't a single clue as to why however. Maybe it was the fact that the girl's demeanor had drawn Gardenia to her. Someone who was shy and humble but had a sort of hidden strength inside her. Gardenia wanted to see if she could get the girl to bring that out in her foods as well as herself.
 Maru Kiryu
Maru remained quiet and watched the interaction between Saiph, Gar, and Adriane. She had said what she wanted to say and although Crop came in to quail the situation and that was alright. Maru didn't know what to think of Crop though. The girl was sort of all over the place. One moment she's liable to punch your face in and the next she's trying to be your best friend. Maru guessed she was just charismatic unlike Maru. The neko was pretty bad at keeping her emotions in check and sometimes just felt the need to get in someone's face. Crop always seemed so cool and mellow unless she didn't want to be. Crop could switch it on and off and that was something that Maru sort of wished she had the capability of doing. When Adriane was dragged away though Maru just gave long huff and a sigh.
"At least that's over for now." The neko said before leaning off of the wall. She looked between Saiph and Gar before giving a small sigh. "Sorry for acting out. I just...I can't stand it when people do s**t like that." She said with a long groan. It wasn't like Maru to ever curse but for the moment she couldn't help herself. She was still visibly upset and likely didn't want to be around that girl again, at least for a while. Gar seemingly didn't mind her though, but Maru did. Still, if Gar wanted to be around the girl that was his thing and it wasn't like she was going to tell him what he could and couldn't do.
Maru moved back to stand in the crowd sort of by Gar but not entirely. She didn't know if she had anything to say at the moment as she was still calming down. Maru however was ready to get back on with the tour. They had yet to see her favorite fluffy teacher and that was always important. Although Maru was a cat she loved the fluffy doglike teacher Aurora, and to be honest there weren't very many students who didn't like the woman. She was kind, gentle, loving and best of all really soft. Maru was sort of glad however that she wasn't covered from head to toe in fur. She had fuzzy ears and a tail but she wasn't nearly as furry as Aurora. Still, she was ready to get back on with the tour and see if anything had changed since her last time coming here. The school did change up every now and then. It was likely to continue on with upgrading the academics here.
 Crop Rider
Crop was glad that the girl decided to move along with her and that there wouldn't be any struggling involved. Crop really didn't want to have to drag the girl or something of the assortment. "A'ight here we are. A nice safe distance 'way from Saiph an' 'er anger fist." Crop said with a smile before giving a nod of her head. She still didn't want this girl to have to be eating through a tube in her throat. "Lucky I was in a good mood 'ey?" She asked the girl before she fell in line with the crowd. She was still avoiding the area around Hayami and as of this very moment she had no idea as to why. It still seemed however that Adriane had a few more words to put out before finally settling in with Crop which was something Crop would advise against but it happened regardless. Crop wasn't her momma, she could say what she wanted. Given Crop was just trying to keep her from getting Maru to jump her after school at this point.
Adriane seemed to ask Crop if she could help her not make an a** of herself and Crop just sort of laughed a bit. "Sure. I ain't never made no a** of myself so I'm sure I could help ya." Crop gave a tiny laugh before shaking her head. "Tha's a lie by the way. I make an a** of myself pretty often but, ah, whatevah." Crop said with a big smile now on her face and a laugh daring to surface. "I'll help ya out though, what'cha need?" She asked as she went to scanning the crowd. Saiph still looked unpleased, Maru looked even more unpleased, Gar seemed alright, and Gardenia was talking with that really hot girl at the moment.
Crop thought for a moment on that really hot girl before giving a shake of her head and looking right back at Adriane. "Also, sorry to hear yer mom got a slave driver fer a boss. My mom used ta haf ta put up with that s**t as well. Ain't fun when yer mom ain't even got enough in 'er to make 'erself a damn sammich when she gets home. My mom used ta be a maid of all things. Sometimes she'd come home at like 3 inna morning with all sortsa sadness just scrawled on 'er face. Happily she got a better job, which is good. My mom was too smart fer that maid s**t anyways, know what I mean?" Crop was actually opening up to this girl pretty quickly. It was true the girl made an a** of herself but at least she was trying to fix that. Crop knew what it was like to have to suffer through a suffering mom. It hurt, and it wasn't something you could just shrug off like so many people thought you could.
"Sorry 'bout that. I was blabberin' my mouth off. Ya probably don't need ta hear my old problems." She said with a laugh before removing her long bullwhip from her belt. She stretched it out and smiled at the girl. "But don' worry...if you get any new problems that need to be..." Crop snickered at her incoming pun. "...whipped into shape jus' ask me. I gave ya my name right? Crop Rider? Daughter o' Whip Rider, s'my mom. She taught me how ta kick asses." Crop said with a very sagely nod of her head. She wanted the girl to know that Crop had her back in case someone decided to be an a*****e to her. "If we become good 'nuff friends I'll show ya Gluttony...she's pretty ********' cool if ya ask me." Crop said with a giggle. She always liked showing people Gluttony because honestly Gluttony was her oldest friend.

Saiph wasn't the least bit interested in most of what the girl said. Either being nosy or giving a half-assed super defensive apology. She was asking not to be judged while judging others. Maru mentioned something about what would happen if the girl bit or turned a student and it made Saiph smirk. It was true and eve Maru made the point about the girl keeping to her own business and what her apology sounded like-- long winded and self-defending. She even said basically what Saiph said in that apologizing for being an a** still made her one. It didn't matter that she was a vampire out during the day--there were plenty of them here doing the very same and they weren't behaving as she was. They were full vampire too while she was only half. Yes, they had the same sleep problems Saiph was sure as most truly nocturnal creatures did--herself included. Sure, she was annoyed perhaps because she'd been called out or perhaps because she felt everyone else was truly out of line--but then again, one had to think on that. If every one else was out of line, were they really? Likely not. Not in this case at least.
The girl had taken what Saiph had had to say with little more than an eye roll and what Maru had to second as if it was almost comforting. This was one of few places where one could openly be a vampire.... and Saiph knew she didn't come from the other place where it was okay so she wasn't sure why the information seemed so casual. It was good information to know. Then again, her parents had probably told her the same if they were any decent....save for maybe the blood packet thing. Either way, Saiph felt Maru had added on nicely to what she'd said to the girl and yet she seemed to want to have none of it. She seemed ready to say even MORE but luckily something clearly wished to save the pink-haired-brat and that something also had pink hair....at least half way.
The demon watched Crop as she pulled the girl back into the crowd (into safety really since Crop was right-- Saiph was a bad person to get in the face of) and sort of inform her that everyone was generally pretty chill until one went and prodded into something that wasn't their business. Even if she thought it was her business, it wasn't. Still, if she HAD to be nosy to at least be tactful about it. Saiph would rather people just not be nosy but she knew that simply wouldn't happen. Crop did reiterate the same point of....if you have to ask really in your business questions, at least get to know them a bit first. Introduce yourself, do some small talk-- don't just leap right in.
Maru seemed glad it was all over as she couldn't stand when people did things like that which was understandable. Still, Gar soon went over to...."pinky" as Crop called her to talk to the girl and Maru followed to some point but mostly stayed back...away from the girl as she was still calming down. She'd said her piece and she was still clearly very annoyed. Still, Gar said that he wouldn't condemn her or anyone for what they were as that'd be closed minded---further proving Saiph's point that people here were pretty open if given the chance. He also told her that next time, don't come on so strong before he introduced himself. LOOK! SOCIAL SKILLS! He seemed like a nice kid and even seemed to forgive the pink-haired dip-s**t even if she.... still wasn't great socially. She left the small group and Crop had to go catch up with her to continue to chat and get to know her. Crop was a very nice girl....sometimes. Saiph liked that about her. She could be nice but she could also turn right around and punch you in the face if she needed to. She was mellow but... not.
Saiph kind of overheard the girl asking Crop to help her not make an a** of herself and then the topic change to parents but she was honestly more interested in who Gardenia was with. She could read lips and got the part about what had happened to her and why she was blind which just pained Saiph's heart. She knew Gardenia would feel the same. She couldn't read Gardenia's lips but she did realize what she was doing and put an immediate stop to the soul pressure she was releasing in annoyance. It was generally a good intimidation technique but no longer needed. Instead, she relaxed and sipped more of her coffee before moving along the wall to stand near Maru "Hey kid...." She said gently to her. Her glasses were still on hiding her eyes from the morning light that was coming in through the windows. "Time to go? Wait for snacks?" She asked wanting Maru's thoughts. She felt the walking would at least cool some jets and at least there had been a break so that'd been nice.
ใใใฏๆฆใใฎไพกๅคใใชใๅ ดๅใฏไฝใไพกๅคใใชใ โ๐ถ๐๐ถ๐๐พ โ๐พ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ
Hayami stood for a moment. She could feel Gardenia's eyes on her and even another pair or two which made her feel super self conscious and she just continued looking down after telling her story. She knew it made people sad...it made her sad....but if she was going to be helped then who was helping her had every right to know what she had been through and what might trigger her....what she was going through even now. She missed her sister every day and wished her life was easy in the sense that she could have parents, be at least somewhat taken care of....that sort of thing but that luxury was gone. To change the topic and to at least attempt to hide her discomfort, she asked her question and waited for Gardenia to answer.
As expected, it was nice to see again--colors, faces, things like that but it hurt a few things in the process. Hearing, smell, things that Hayami had gained from being blind. She expected that much. She would probably give that up happily in a heart beat to see again but hearing that it could mess with skills that had been learned while blind like....cooking in this case, she wasn't so sure. She had had to basically re-learn almost everything and she wasn't so sure she wanted to re-re-learn everything again. Then again, she'd get to do all the things she used to do too... if she could still do those things anyways. In a sense she was sort of torn... she missed some things about seeing but she'd miss some things about being blind too. She'd miss not seeing the judgmental looks of others and being sort of free to be in her own head space, not expected to meet people's eyes when talking. She'd miss her tactile senses with how sensitive they were as well....
Still, Gardenia told her how she sort of went back and forth in a sense by closing her eyes while she cooked. It wasn't the same but she guessed it helped if only because it was more familiar that way. The french woman assured though that the school or even herself would find a way to return her eye-sight or if not, at least make her feel as welcome as they could. Hayami was still looking down though until Gardenia mentioned that she could even give her private cooking lessons if that would help her confidence in the beginning. This got Hayami to look up towards her although she still wore her ever apparent long frown. She thought she was good at not doing so but she couldn't help it.
"You.... You don't have to Mrs Turrant.... I mean..... That would probably be a lot of extra work and trouble" She said looking back down. She would never want to impose like that. And it's not like she could pay her with anything--she didn't have anything. She just had a few sets of clothes, basics like a toothbrush and hair brush and things she needed for well... blindness like her cane and a few other things. She also had an allergy although she'd never figured out to what. She just had an epi-pen from the shelter in case it happened again....whatever it was. Still, the teacher mentioned that she'd had blind students before and Hayami gave a small nod although she obviously wasn't feeling terribly confident.
She'd think about it for sure but she didn't want to waste the woman's time in any sense of the word be it with private lessons or because she was just.... slow in class or needed a bit more help than others which she was sure she would. "I just..... I don't want to bother you or waste your time" She said, obviously doubting she'd be much good. She didn't think anyone deserved that because time was something that couldn't be gotten back. It was precious.... she knew that. She didn't think she was worth the woman taking extra time out of her day to do private lessons. Maybe she'd sign up for the class but.....that was still iffy. All the same she continued looking down and holding her arm that had her cane a bit.

Adriane Berner Adriane smiled as Crop accepted but let her know that she made an a** out of herself too. "That's fine, you can be an a** all you want, but at least you seem to have things more figured out." Adriane found her mind and mouth running faster than her common sense. Most times she didn't mean for things to come out so awkward but then again, she never really thought things through either. She was the kind to get an idea and run with it, no matter the consequences and it had gotten her into a lot of trouble.
Crop was sorry for her mom, which Adriane waved off, about to tell her that it was the more steady of incomes when Crop told her about her mother's experience as a maid. "That is rough," Adriane voiced, thinking hard at what it would be like for her mother to come home at three in the afternoon. "Glad to hear she got a better job." When Crop apologized Adriane wondered if she'd been too disinterested, because that wasn't the case at all, but Crop went on to tell Adriane that her mother was Whip Rider. Someone she knew nothing about but was probably important somewhere. Why else would she tell her?
"I appreciate it, even if it's just keeping me from writing checks I can't cash." In a way it was a thank you for Crop pulling her out of what she could now tell was an intense situation, however at the time her mind wasn't registering it as one. "I'd like that..." she replied to Crop showing her Gluttony but she wasn't sure if they would become good enough friends so it seemed the only answer. "If we get on well I'm sure Ma will invite you over for the winter festival. She's pretty crazy, but when you get her and her friends together it's a weekend event. I don't think they sleep, and there's enough food and drink between just them to feed several armies..." She stopped suddenly and then looked at Crop seriously, a shred of terror and regret in her eyes as she asked, "... y-you eat meat right? Or did I just invite another vegetarian to a demon feast?" Strange as it might be, she had a habit of inviting people who weren't fond of the food.
