Rodney went over to the counter. He read the back of the powder by course of habit. It...obviously wasn't vegan. Maybe the peanut butter or vanilla recipe would have better luck, but he doubted it. But...he didn't mind making it, he just...
He heard the door close, with Melvin excusing himself.
"You...you can't leave him in there," Rodney said, horrified and going right back to the door. He cracked it open again, instead of shutting it. "...Don't you want to...?"
He also realized he had absolutely no idea what relationship Melvin and Lawrence had. Maybe it was just a...friends with benefits thing, and this would be in more relationship territory. But Melvin seemed upset too.
"Did you...need some time by yourself?"

"Jan needs some time. He's upset, and I've never heard him swear before. It's not going to be any easier talking to him with me in there, but I don't want him being tense the entire time he is in the shower." There was a sanctity to that place after all.
"I just want him to get in bed, have a shake, and talk if he isn't ready to pass out. If he is, then I'll talk to him when he wakes up and has some breakfast."
He glanced back at the door and looked back to him. "I'll be standing here. I just want to give him some space. Could you make a shake for him. He might not want to eat, but drinking anything right now would be good to get some calories and sugar into his system....maybe add extra powder.....but not make it too gross." He wanted to follow Harrison's advice, at least with the shake. He wasn't sure Jan would want to go to the gym tomorrow with him after how he reacted to the moon being here.

Lawrence shrugged as he was handed the bottle back and had to deal with getting the shampoo himself since he wasn't about to ask again. He washed his hair thoughtfully when Melvin left. It was all going to be a difficult one to evade.
Still at least Melvin hadn't looked at him much differently and still gone so far as to flirt with him which was a positive.
He flat out refused to so much as acknowledge the fact that he was getting a little light headed as he washed the rest of him, because admitting that would be admitting that the concerns were valid and that Harrison's pushy advice held some manner of merti.
Butch was not pleased, but he never was when they were in the shower.

"He can't go to bed until he has something to eat," Rodney said softly but firmly. "He hasn't eaten at all today. He doesn't need time. He's avoiding...everything. He shouldn't be in the shower. But if he is, someone has to be there to catch him if he falls." Rodney went in again while he talked, and miserably sat on the toilet with his head in his hands.
"You can make it."

Hearing the door open again Lawrence sighed heavily, about to ask who it was when he heard Rodney's voice again. He set his jaw, on the brink of leaving the shower to have a sit down but rethinking the plan now that the other man was there and would get concerned and ridiculous about it.
"This is a /farce/." he muttered irritably, stooping to pick the bottle up again.
And when he stood up straight, a swell of nausea took him and once again he keeled over.
He would have been irritated if he was concious to experience it.

Melvin might have been just a little miffed that Rodney was lecturing him a bit, but he knew the man to be kind, gentle, and just all around caring about things. When the man had went back into the bathroom, it was also a sign of his concern.
Melvin paused, debating if he should just linger there or relieve Rodney of the responsibility when he heard a clatter of bottles. He pushed open the door in an instant.

Rodney was up again, and this time wet, and this time holding Jan. He wasn't exactly struggling with the other man's weight, just holding him up firmly.
"Could you get the shower, please?" he asked Melvin while it soaked through his shirt.

Melvin had a small second - just a small one, where he just stared at water pouring on both Rodney and Jan and then IMMEDIATELY Flustered and dove for the shower dial, turning it off.
Turning, he grabbed all the towels off the rack and went over, moving to help Jan out of the shower with Rodney and hold him up.
"Ok. You were right. I'm sorry. We should move him to the bed. Here....Um...I'll take him." He said, moving to remove Jan's naked body from the other.

Rodney shifted Lawrence gently to Melvin, then squeezed out the bottom of his shirt into the bathtub. He took a towel from the rack, and placed it over Lawr's shoulders.
"He can't go to bed until he has something to eat," Rodney repeated. "The couch first. He needs something in his system. ....Do we have any straws?"

Lawr groggily started to come back around and slowly and carefully seemed to scope out his surroundings. Still the bathroom. Had he blacked out? That was frankly inconvenient and somewhat frustrating.
Between the spar, arguing with Harrison and the struggling to avoid the other two men's intentions he was absolutely exhausted and simply propped himself up against Melvin while trying to make head or tail of their conversation, his normally intent ice blue gaze just a bit unfocused.
It was not being a very good day and this nonsense never happened. It was all Harrison's fault for meddling with his shield. He would be fine when it mended. As would his forehead which ached a little. He couldn't see the small bruise he'd developed from his fall, a bruise Butch was working hard to mend already.
"Hello Gentlemen." he said distantly.

"Yeah, that sounds good. I think there are straws in the drawer beside the silverware. I'm going to take him to the couch and dry him off." Though he felt bad that Rodney's bed might get wet.
Leaning down, he scooped up Jan, taking another towel with him, and walked out of the bathroom and to the couch. "You passed out." He informed Jan, hating himself for letting Jan convince him he was as well as he said he was.
He set the man down and started to dry him off before he went over and grabbed the blanket from off their bed and laid it over the man. While hunter shields could keep someone from getting sick, if Jan was so ill that he was getting injured from falls and passing out, then he might not even have that anymore.
Melvin continued to work to dry him off, not intent to not leave Jan at all and keeping a hand on Jan's side to make sure he didn't tilt in one direction or the other.

Lawrence allowed himself to be steered to the couch and slumped down. By the time he got there he was fully concious and sighed.
"Am I not even allowed to get dressed?" it was part fishing for more time away from having to eat and part genuine concern about nudity. He held the sheets closer but with the air of a spoiled animal permitted himself to be dried off regardless.
"Can't I make myself something to eat?"

"I'll get you a pair of pajamas here in a moment, and I don't want you near knives or mandolins right now then you already hit your head in the tub." He wasn't about to make that mistake again. "You can make your breakfast tomorrow if you are feeling better."
He dried Jan off gently, trying hard to focus on the seriousness of the situation despite the intimacy of being allowed to dry him off. Once dry, he stood up to walk to the other side of the room to pull out a set of clothes for him to wear before walking back and setting it down between them.
"Rodney, Jan is getting dressed. Hold on a moment in the kitchen." He called back and handed Jan the clothes, watching Jan intently if he should try and stand up in case he fainted again.

Irritable again now, Lawrence narrowed his eyes at the idea that he was somehow not to be trusted around sharp objects. "I fainted Melvin, I did not suddenly become stupid. This is around when I normally have lunch every day of my life." It was one thing to fool people into doing things for him but it was quite another to have his independence taken away because he couldn't be trusted with it. It reminded him far too strongly of his time in hospitals and being treated by various adults as if he was mentally deficient when he was capable of understanding but not so capable of communicating.
Being put back in that position made him - more than ever - want to run away, feeling strangled and trapped.
He got dressed briskly before sitting back down and wrapping the blanket back around himself, frankly glad of the warmth. "I am not sick."

"I didn't say you were stupid. I said you have already fainted twice today and standing in the kitchen when we are both here to help isn't going to kill you. I don't want you falling and smacking your head on the counter or to get lightheaded and accidentally cut your hands. What's stupid is that you think that is. That you are not even carrying that you passed out in the tub. That you passed out in the field. That all your low levels with your bloodwork would mean you'd be in the hospital if you didn't have a weapon or ..." He grew frustrated and got up, wanting to pace but not wanting got leave Jan. He sat back down again and leaned back before looking back.
"What's going on? Why are you acting like this is okay?"
