Castor Page Aptera

There was a well hidden hip pocket on both sides of her magical dress that Page Aptera had discovered a few nights ago. And when she arrived at the familiar and memorable venue of a second gathering called for by Caedus, she placed the small pouch she had been carrying in her grasp on the way here containing one of the crystals Caedus had distributed previously into one of these inconspicuous compartments as her steadily taken steps drew her nearer to the growing group of magical individuals like herself. She paused beside a tree and scanned the scene in front of her now and then she left the shadows cast by overhead branches to decidedly approach one of the individuals who had arrived before her. If she wanted to gather more information about the circumstances surrounding this magical world, then inquiring with regards to the thoughts of other magical individuals would likely be steps in that direction.

"Hello," Aptera addressed Scholomance with a polite smile and a raised hand as a wave in greeting, her voice then followed by a second of silence, perhaps in hesitance. However, she pressed on calmly in the next instant and asked, "Would, would you please explain your thoughts to me about this war if you don't mind my asking?" And though she managed to keep her voice even in tone, she quickly added upon realization coming over her, "Ah, but I'd forgotten proper manners. I am new, my name is Aptera. And may I ask for your name as well?" She extended her hand to offer a handshake.

Scylla
She had already been on her way when the 'call' came from Caedus, or she assumed it was him; a bag of Chinese takeout in hand and the crystal he had given her tucked safely away from her skin, as it usually was when she was henshined. Something in the sheer numbers of people arriving told her that he wasn't going to want a late night snack and friendly conversation tonight, however.

Scylla dropped the bag behind a tree before she stepped up to join the growing crowd, slipping closer to him and waggling her fingers. "Good evening Caedus. Everyone." Her voice was bright, and came out louder than she intended it to be. Finding a spot closer to the... alien(?) she set up her position to observe.

Sailor Subamara, Senshi of Coffee

Subamara trudged up the hill like a zombie, the energy collecting crystal held loosely and openly in her gloved hand. It swirled with the ripples of the energy she’d let it have, faithfully collected every night before bed. And it had helped with her insomnia, she thought, through the haze of exhaustion. ‘Sleep’ might be too strong a word for the passing out she’d been doing, but she hadn’t had a nightmare in three whole days, and that was pretty much a record.

She’d been half-way done with it tonight, the cool-warm numbness sinking into her skin as she settled into bed, rehearsing her to-do list for the following day. She’d only set it aside when she remembered an assignment due, and had to start it now. Had only powered up to make her coffee-run quicker. Felt the call.

Now she flopped gently onto the chilly grass, adjusting her short skirts around her, and laying the crystal on her apron.

It was her energy. It was hers to give. If it could help bring down the Negaverse, then it was energy well-spent. And if it turned out they were being played… at least she would know that she’d tried to help someone in need.

Scholomance, Squire of Saturn

Scholomance heard a greeting behind him, initially assumed that the gesture was directed toward someone near him, and only processed that he was being hailed when a question persisted. Turning, his gaze lighted on the unknown page before him. The symbol went without recognition; he knew only the conventional astronomical symbols for the Sol system, and her column-esque symbol was not among them. The auric energy from her, however, felt decidedly knightly. Page indeed.

Reaching up, the squire pulled down the garish half-mask to expose a much more neutral countenance. He accepted the handshake without removing his glove. "Scholomance," he returned.

What a peculiar question you have, Aptera. It's a little out of place in the wake of an offensive. I suppose if you need the discussion before you go in, then now is the best time to get it done. Still, to choose me out of all these gung-ho White Moon, ready to exterminate their enemy... Dumb luck or deliberate intention.

When he spoke again, Scholomance's voice reached a lower volume than before. "I'll try to answer you as best I can," he started with a single nod. The squire loathed the chance of others overhearing such a charged conversation. "Personally, I think the senshi have a right to fight for possession of Earth because every single one of them was born here, regardless of the planetary allegiance they hold. The planets they borrow from are dead. The same occurs with the knights. However, the Negaverse holds the political claim of the Earth because they hold the Earth throne itself. There is no alternate planet from which the Negaverse is from - that we know of. But, ultimately, they are the greater force.

"I hear the Negaverse is interested in subjugating the world. I don't care. The earth isn't my responsibility - my responsibility is Scholomance. If the senshi finally overturn the Negaverse and win, I still don't care. Earth isn't Saturn. Besides, doing this little offensive here is just an exercise in headstrong, suicidal thinking from what was discussed in the last meeting - all for this man to go back to space, it sounds like. And if you're looking for my personal opinion on this, I say we deconstruct him and learn what we can." His gaze averted to Caedus, though he remained half-facing her.

Sailor Etamin of Hieroglyphics

Sailor Etamin had been caught in the middle of training, which he set down immediately and came running; Senshi Style. He brought the crystal which had been filled with his own energy at his peak - right after a training session - till he collapsed. Now he set it in front of Caedus, nodded to him and stepped back.

He looked around the crowd, and saw Sailor Cadmus - and waved to him.

Super Sailor Cybele, Senshi of the Hunt

She didn't hesitate when she felt the call once more. It was sooner than she would have liked. Her crystal wasn't full. It glowed dimly with the energy she'd given it each night, before sleeping, which hadn't been enough to drain her, really only enough to help her with the restlessness and the nightmares. Sometimes a bit more, on the weekends. She was willing to give her energy to Caedus, but not to take for him- that had been her decision, in the end.

She arrived at the hill and took her place at the edge of the gathering crowd once more. At least this time things seemed more civilized... calmer. Maybe some of the others had had a chance to speak one on one with Caedus, as well. She offered him a small nod, holding her crystal, which was currently wrapped up in a piece of one of her ribbons.

Babylon Knight of Mercury

Babylon had been feeding the crystal a steady stream of his own energy - enough, at least, that he hoped he could escape suspicion. His conscience was clean, however - unlike some people here, who seemed proud of their ill-gotten energy, he'd never once drained something that wasn't already his to take.

After all, you had to have principles.

Picking his way through the crowd, he made his way over to Scholomance and Aptera.

"Time to see if he's the real deal, I suppose," he said, looking towards Caedus. "I still half-suspect a double-cross."

More than suspected - expected. But he'd taken the Code's orders to heart - and if Babylon managed to pull this off, they'd be betraying Caedus before Caedus could betray them.

Sailor Sabine, Senshi of Tactics

Sabine was very heartened to see that she was not the only one that had rallied beside Caedus. The poor, lonely, soul needed as many people to support him as he could get. She was glad to be counted among their number, as a friend, or potential friend, of Caedus. She had come to legitimately care for the cloaked stranger, in their interactions. He was a noble soul.

She hoped they could get him home.

At the voice that greeted her she spun a bit on her heel and then dropped into a curtsy on habit. "Good evening," She said, bowing her head a bit. "I am Sailor Sabine, Senshi of Tactics."

Formal introductions never hurt anyone. Still, she kept an ear out in case Caedus needed something or spoke about what he planned.

Chibi Ambrosia, Super of Honey

Ambrosia felt the pull from Caedus, and grabbed the crystal off her desk. Every day, she had used to crystal to drain some of her energy before she went to bed. She figured that was the best time, because she was going to go sleep anyway, so it was like the energy was wasted. She'd been late to school a couple of times after giving too much energy, but her teacher's disapproving glare was more than ok if it meant she could stop the Negaverse once and for all.

As she appeared in the rapidly growing crowd, a familiar fuku caught her eye, though this time she wasn't sitting on someone's shoulders and she could actually go up to the person.

"Lenka!" she shouted, running toward her partner in crime. "Lenka! I haven't seen you in so long!"

Orangeish Sherbert

Grus, Eternal of Feathers

With the crystal in her gloved hand, Grus joined the group surrounding Caedus. She had spent a lot of time giving her energy to the crystal; her eyes had dark circles and she was slightly slumped. Going to her homeworld helped ease the exhaustion. She always felt better after being there for a while, though she never took the crystal with her to Grus. She wasn't sure how it would react to another homeworld's energy, and part of her was afraid that it would do something to the planet that was irreversible. While she trusted Caedus, she didn't trust the technology enough to risk her favorite place in space.

She tried to get as close to the front of the crowd as possible, excited to hear how their labors paid off.

Esquiline, Page of Venus

Amarilla felt the pull that meant she was needed, but she paused before powering up and going. She hadn't taken the crystal; she didn't feel right giving something from her own body to someone else. She couldn't even give blood of God's sake! So she'd passed up on the odd object, and choose to use her energy on her last semester of college. She was going to have to look for a job soon....

The pull tugged again, and she sighed. Sure, she hadn't helped, but that didn't mean she wasn't curious about what was going to happen. If they could really defeat the negaverse, then she wouldn't power up anymore, and that meant going back to having a normal life. A job, maybe a boyfriend, nights off!

The group of people created a buffer between she and Caedus, which was perfectly fine of the Venus page.

Hvergelmir Knight of the Cosmos

It had not been a good time to have the flu. Not that there ever were, of course, good times to have the flu -- but the Code was acting strangely, and Ida was all but presumed dead, and this mysterious Caedus had shown up with his troubling offer, and it had all needed to be investigated . . . and Hvergelmir had been mostly confined to her apartment for days on end, relying on her sweet-tempered roommate to look after her. She'd been able to accomplish practically nothing.

She felt weak and tired -- but Hvergelmir was here, nonetheless, huddled in her cloak much more like it was a heavy comforter than a wearable garment. She sidled up to Babylon, careful to try and keep out of 'contagious' range, and greeted him with a graceless sniffle and a, "Hey, stranger." Her voice sounded compromised in the extreme: like someone had taken a steel wool pad to the inside of her throat. That was what it felt like, anyway.

Sailor Cassiopeia, Senshi of Wonder

When Caedus called, she'd been delighted. Thrilled. He'd been so nice to speak to before--and she'd given very little hesitation to donate more energy into the crystal. The very one now that she had tucked away in a little bag tied and tucked into one of her boots. In her arms was the dark blue-black form of Pye, though she kept one hand mostly free to retrieve the crystal she intended to return to Caedus. Though for the moment, her free hand kept alternating between scratching the guardian behind the ears, or fiddling with his necklaces absentmindedly. The collection of those gathered already didn't surprise her--though she was cheered by how many seemed to be in much calmer states, despite how others still made her... uneasy for the (far as she was concerned) synthetic man.

She spotted Myrrha and gave a wave, but when she spotted the orange and pink hair of Enif, she found herself quickly moving over to the pastel senshi near the front of the group. "Hey! How're you feeling?" The Senshi of Wonder pulled out the small bag from her boot and fiddled with it between her hands, the crystal safe within. Enif had been one of those to be uneasy about the crystals. Cassiopeia was.... well, biased enough to hope maybe the other girl had had a chance to speak with Caedus.

At the thought of the robed man, she lifted a hand in greeting towards Cadeus smiling. "Hope you've been ok out here," she called lightly to him. It'd made her feel incredibly upset to just... leave him out here in this weather but. Well... wasn't like she had any alternative for him to hide properly.

Castor Page Aptera

In the short interval of moments after being replied to, Babylon and Hvergelmir had both joined and settled in the gathering near them and when the two of them each did so, she smiled to them, too, in polite greeting. And then she responded to Scholomance's words gratefully, "That you have answered my query for your perspective about how this war has been unraveling, I truly appreciate it."

She spoke a few words carrying within the group as well. "There seems to be no end to the many magical mysteries," and with a gradual sweep sideways, Aptera's gaze checked the position where Caedus was located and held as well.

Aptera was usually not one to start and actively contribute to long discussions. However, since she had somehow transformed into the magical form she now took on the same day that Caedus called the first gathering, inwardly she had begun more regularly wrestling with her usual tendencies for courses of action and the nature of what courses of action she felt being a magical existence entails more of.

In contrast to her habitually limited practice of voiced speech, her mind however readily took in observations from the sounds she heard around her to the sights she caught in her peripheral and forward fields of vision. She observed but to address her observations with speech eluded her for the most part at this point in time and thus she simply thought to herself that hopefully everyone will be alright.

Super Sailor Harmonia, Senshi of Harmony

The call was felt mere minutes after she had powered up which, thankfully, meant she wasn't terribly far from the hill where Caedus had positioned himself. She didn't hesitate to change her direction and soon enough she was joining the throng of other order members who had already gathered around their cloaked mystery friend. She opted to stay towards the back of the gathering though. Harmonia was curious to see what was going to happen yet wasn't sure if she wanted parts in it or not yet. All she knew she wanted to do was help Caedus find his way back home.

She brought with her the crystal which was neatly tied up in cloth to keep be bare skin from touching it. Harmonia had spent a bit of time each night charging up the little crystal but had refused to involved anyone else in the energy gatherings. If she had, she would had felt far too much like a Negaverse agent and that wasn't a line she wanted to cross. So, carefully she pulled out the small crystal and untied it's protective wrapping when she noted others had their out. Hers swirled with the tell-tale mist of energy that had been stored in it. She still found it very pretty to look at and marveled at the crystal once more before turning her attention to the group.

When Sabine smiled he gave a return one and a nod in greeting then turned his attention back to Slievenamon. "I'm glad. I have been good as well." Gorner, Page of Castor

She had gotten the call while out, on her own, and had quickly powered down so she could call her cousins and let them know what was going on. She didn't know if they knew, if they were powered, or what was going on with either of them tonight. She had gotten home only two hours ago from indoor rock climbing and had, after a quick hot shower, gone out to patrol. Bundled in a coat for warmth, god this outfit was not suited for winter! Once the calls had been made and information given she had powered back up and left the safe place she'd gone to in order to power down and make the calls.

So it was no wonder she arrived later than she'd have liked to. She was here though and that was what counted, and it seemed like a smaller crowd than last time. Perhaps she wasn't the only one running late? Standing around, thankful for the warmth of the heavy winter coat, Gorner was waiting to see what would happen, and for her cousins to arrive. Impatient as she was it was no wonder that her sandal covered foot soon started to tap against the snow covered ground. She understood that things took time but that didn't mean she liked it, or that she wouldn't show her lack of patients. It was impossible for her not to, everything was so slow!

Standing to the outside of the crowds forming, slowly, she hoped this would make it easier for her cousins to find her - as if the dyed red hair wouldn't. She really needed to fix her hair...or something, she still couldn't believe she'd lost that bet! she'd been so sure she was going to win.
