Ha, I am always doing stupid stuff..

Our first game of the season.. I had a panic attack and almost passed out, our DM giving me the weirdest look kept me consious, oh yea and "Beck's fan club".

I am known for forgetting all my music.. yea I'm stupid like that.
Umm at our LAST CONTEST, it was really windy and we were fixing to go on and [I'm in Pit this past season] we were pulling our carts behind the tractor and the mirimba fell off aswell as my suspended cymbal. Then once we got on the field.. we were playing and it was in the middle of the show during the recorder solo and the wind knocked everything over [wind chimes, sus. cymbal, etc.] WE STILL GOT FIRST PLACE ACROSS THE BOARD, SECOND OVER ALL OUT OF 5 CLASSES, A SUPERIOR, AND BEST PIT CREW. [oh yea, we're good like that.]
During band camp, we always ended up throwing mallets and stuff at each other.
In class, I always fall over the drum cases and bust my butt, everyone looks at me and laughs.
When all is quiet, I end up making the most noise by dropping something.

Thats all I can think of right now.

Last night, I was carrying one of the snare's down to the field because one of the guys also plays trombone. We were going down stairs and I missed a step, and rolled with the snare and then it came off and I ended up on the other side of the railing.
Luckily, the snare only got a few scratches.

I'm in Guard and during football season, we march out on the football field during halftime. My guard had these little one-handed poles that had rainbow silks on them, and as I was passing behind one of our flute players (this girl was insanely tiny, you wouldn't believe she was in high school. She's 16 but she looks 12) and she got too close to me when I was doing rowboats. I hit her in the back of the head (not on purpose!), knocked her hat off, caused her to fall forward and the entire show to stop and be called off because the flute player didn't move at first. I thought I killed her (I'm a bit over-cencerned) but she just couldn't move. I felt SO bad...

and the enitre stadium was watching!!!

Oh, and in my brief 1 (wow, a whole YEAR!) year in Concert Band, I dropped my clarinet mouthpiece and it shattered into five different pieces. I thought it was hilarious, but my director didn't share my humor...

once in band practice, during 'Ode to Joy' They're is this part before where all the drum come up to the side line(infront of the drum major) and we do some cool stuff.
After that we all move across the line and head up the 30 yard line or 35 yeard line, anyway when we start moving back(me being 1st bass at the time) I was marching backwards. But Mikey the second bass behind me was marching too slow so I had to march slow so I wouldn't run into him. Well Dillon our tenor player didn't see that so he kept marching regularly.

(also let me say we had new pearl drums that year) we'll I had a split second choice... become a drum sandwich or scratch my new drum...

It was a painful sandwich.

First year, I was doing an over the head drop spin and I smacked my friend Jordan in the mouth... while he was playing his trumpet... I gave the poor guy a bloody lip. I haven't had a major one, but one that happened to someone recently was hilarious. We were going over our winter guard show as normal, and it came time to toss a quad. It was a ripple sort of effect and the first line did it fine. It came time for the second line to go when all of a sudden........................................................ *SHATTER GLASS*!!! One of the guys (Neypez, as we all call him) tossed his quad too high and broke one of the lights! It was raining glass. So we had to sweep the glass off our floor, so you can pretty much tell practice was over. I stepped on glass a week later. But poor Neypez... He's always hitting himself... eek yeah... I'm done.

Well. I've dropped sticks during parades and didn't pick them up.
I broke a friends tooth while spinning a drumstick.
I forgot my sticks to an important parade once. xD

i get hurt alot...once i had this cool flag solo in fall guard and i busted my lip open doing a 360 toss, but i still caught it and kept going!!! i kept spinning and such all the way through the show just thought ouch and kept doing my thing ....then when i got off the field my bd and everyone ran up to me and were freaking out and everyone was starring at me... i was bleeding REALLY bad! All the cheerleaders made fun of me and such and when i walked past kept saying "gross and stuff" but I think it was a shining moment!!! I kept spinning and didn't miss a beat and made my mom freak out hehe!!!! Then I still have a perment bump on my ear from a riffle redface (had it for two tears so i guess it's perminit) and lots off other times i'm clumsy!!! crying redface but oh well hehe.... and then once i hit this french horn...i felt really bad.... but it was windy and we were so clouse in the show that i couldn't exactly help it...but she said it was ok i just suprised her ............and then once my friend hit me with his flag..., ok i feel kindof embarraed now i am clumsy!!! redface

Our vibraphone pedal fell off during practise, and Ms. Naumann's like, "Why'd you stop playing?"
"The pedal....fell off."
"What?" Her expression was priceless.

One of the mallets lost a head, and it hit a clarinet two rows away! She got really mad. We currently have three mallets with heads, and four sticks minus the lost heads. I wish we got new mallets, these are pathetic!

During a concert, out section leader was playing the chimes, he hit the chime, and it fell making a loud clunk as it it the floor.

That was funny. (Though I didn't hear it for some reason lol)

Also, I was pushing the xylophone to the back of the room from where it was to put it away in Jr. High. It had a bad wheel part. It hit a part of the floor that was missing a tile, and because of the way I was pushing it, the entire thing fell and flipped 3 or so times.

Wegot in huge trouble today. Our band is seperated into different classes so all the percussion is together and so it can get REALLY loud. And we are nextdoor to the Orchestra room. So today, we were practicing and then the orchestra teacher opened the door and said "I dont even know why I come in here anymore" Right when she shut the door, we all looked at eachother and went back to playing. Then she came in again and said "Get in here right now and see what we have to deal with" All of us sat in the orchestra room and they began to play. After they finished the teacher told someone go to and play on the set. So someone did and when he came back in, the teacher said "See what we have to deal with everyday? Now, go back in there and be quiet." Then we got a lecture from our teacher and went back to playing for our concert

Bahh...I dont like that orchstra teacher

Guard... Jeez. I ahd to be in this one spot and I could literally touch hands with a guard girl if we both reackhed our hands out. I was a freshman and the girl was a freshamn and we were doing one of our first run throughs with the guard and.... I was smashed in the head by a flag pole. I had an aching headache the rest of the day.

I'm a drum major, and I was doing my standard spinning/butterfly maneuvers, and someone got too close. Now, our unwritten rule is "If we hit you, it's your own damn fault, not ours'. So needless to say, it's a dangerous place to be. I stopped and set up for a sunset, and they were far too close. I flipped the mace around, and bashed them square under the chin. When they came to, their eyes were very unfocused, and I had knocked two of their teeth out and chipped three more. Just so you all know, the head of the mace (the part they got hit with) is basically a hollow lead ball... ouch...
