Kaelyn looked towards the other girl, running a hand through her boyishly short blonde hair. She wore no makeup and in fact was wearing a really loose t shirt. In fact the only way someone could tell she was female was by her legs. They were pale and completely hairless, with very feminine looking ankles.
the 24 year old woman waded back to the shore and grinned shyly. "Hello." However, her voice was very feminine, despite all outward appearances. "Curse?" She asked glancing towards the male.

Thanatos blinked. 'Curse?' he internally echoed, a touch of skepticism tugging at him.
He looked at the other girl who had been wading and shrugged lightly. "I've never heard of a curse," he said, his voice tainted by a soft England accent as well as a subtle something-else.
"I'm Thanatos," he said to both of them, nodding at each in turn with accompanied with a wave.

Her brown hair bobbed as she nodded. "Yah! This island is full of were-animals! At least that was what I was told when I took the job. " She puffed out her chest proudly and shifted on her feet. "What do you guys do? I'm an intern." She took a deep breath trying to calm down her quick talking speed. She was always so nervous around strangers but also so excitable. "Thanatos is a cool name....mind if I call you Than?"

Thanatos was a cool name, but Kaelyn didn't waste her time asying unnecessary things like that. "Were-beasts huh? Cool." She shrugged. "I work with computers. The name's Kaelyn, call me Kay, Lynn, anythin' ya want." She was quite unfazed by Heather's exitedness, used to the hyperactivity of those she went to school with. "Wha' about you Than?"

"Were-animals, eh?" he said, face pulled into a sarcastic grin and disbelieving eyes. "I'll believe it when I see it, luv."
He nods at Kaelyn after she speaks and queries. "I don't really...do anything useful." He gnaws on his bottom lip. "I'm a...dealer, of sorts. Of acts and of pills," he said, putting it as politely as he could.
he grins at Heather. "If you want to, sure. Can I call you Athe?" he asks in return. Thanatons favoured odd names, he found them easier to remember, easier to identify with a person.

"Um sure?" She responded then nodded. "Yah, I heard if you stay here too long you start to change into animals. I don't believe it of course but people are crazy." She circled her finger near her temple in the universal crazy gesture and sighed. "This is a good place though, my first time on an island."

Kaelyn shrugged again. What did it matter what anyone did anyway. They were all on the island now.
Then she looked at her digital watch, her eyes widening. "Uh, gotta go. I promised someone I'd meet him later." With that she dashed off.

Thanatos quirked an eyebrow. "...Okay then." He looked out at the ocean, and then back to the jungle.
"Yea, I've not been on a tropical island before. Bit hotter than 'M used too..." he trailed off. "Used to live near London, then moved to Seattle. Used to rain, rain, and more rain, I suppose!" he grinned, even if it didn't quite reach his eyes. Detox be damned, he still craved his beloved stimulants. Thanatos turned to face Heather. "The...time I've been...awake here has been relatively short. Who else is on this island, you've any idea?"

Heather waved goodbye to the other girl then turned to the male. "Yah....I'm from where it snows, doubt it does that here." At his final question she shook her head. "No, I don't know anyone else just that I'm supposedly interning for a guy name (Sabin? *Not sure yet*) but so far I was given shots and sent out to this island."

He nodded. "Interesting" He paused for a moment, looking thoughtful. With a random movement he sat further away from where the white foam lapped at the sand, and looked up at Heather. "I do have to wonder why'd they wanted me. Maybe it was a mixup, or something of the sort." He shrugged. "You know, the name Sabin sounds familiar, but I can't for the life of me remember from where! How queer..." He wondered more about if he had gotten any shots or treatment that he wasn't aware of.

The girl nodded softly and sighed, itching the back of her neck. "They said that they weren't 'ready ' for met yet. I've been out here for a week waiting for it to start but I gotta cool duplex."

He nods. "Me too. About the duplex, I mean. I guess...whoever's in charge'll see me soon. You'll have to tell me how it goes when they take you in!" he says, laughingly. Thanatos traced a pattern on his jeans with his painted nails. He hoped that hadn't sounded as nervous as he felt, a sudden pit building in his belly giving him a horrid feeling.

Heather smiled and sighed. "I miss my chinchillas. I had about six of the little buggers but couldn't take any with me." Another sigh. "I needed a job to afford taking care of them." She itched her neck more then tried to discretely fix her pants. Her tailbone was starting to burn.

"That is a lot of pets..." he was about to comment, when she scratched her neck and tug on her pants. He eyed her closely, her pupils were slightly widened and she was looking disoriented. "Uhm..." Thanatos started, unsure of what to ask. "Are...you okay?"

Heather closed her eyes at the pain and shook her head. "I think I need to go." She waved a goodbye to him and dashed off to her duplex. She felt bad for leaving him but this felt weird. She'd make it up to him later.
