Maybe she shouldn't have allured to Melody having different parents, maybe that was the lack of empathy on her part that she hadn't realized how that might make Deskri feel. "...m-maybe she.. a-and syth.. h-had another c-child... " she knew that didn't make any sense the moment it left her mouth. By that logic, the child would be 20 years old. She was obviously only a few years old. She shook her head as if to apologize for making such a terrible comment. "...her p-parents.. could be a-anyone's... m-maybe Andy's..." she offered, insinuating that the reason he'd hide it was maybe because of different circumstance than what was currently being pondered. "...s-some of the m-metas became.. r-rebels I hear... so m-maybe-..." she paused, not really wanting to continue her sentence.

"...he l-left so suddenly b-before... i s-stayed behind... h-here.." she retorted as she watched him frown. But if he came back.

"...a-are you s-sure... about t-that?" she asked with blunt eyes, eyes locked on his frown, seeing if he understood what she was hinting. She wasn't 100% sure, but something told her Deskri had an idea about Rhun, if not anything else.

That... didn't make any sense. Rhun said she was dead. Melody was clearly still a child... The more he thought about it, the less sense it made, and the more the clues lined up in a direction he did not want them to. He rubbed at his head again, biting into his lip enough to almost break the skin. "Hah... wouldn't that be perfect... couldn't take care of the four they had but they'd have another anyway..." He snorted, trying to make light of it despite the pain in his voice. "She doesn't really look like Andy. But I guess, I dunno. I have... thoughts." He trailed off, giving another noncommittal shrug. "It doesn't matter. I don't want to have anything to do with kids if I can help it."

He sighed, she really was an intelligent girl. She'd more than likely figured it out, but he wasn't about to say as much. The kids could wake up at any moment, after all. "Yes... It'd... it'd be nice... I'd... like to know that he's okay. Alive." He shrugged, "I don't... know about other things, but... knowing that at least would put me at some ease... I don't know about anyone else. Not even my family."

"...i'm s-sorry.." she apologized for bringing it up. "..i-i'm sure there's.... a g-good reason..." she whispered from underneath her mask, understanding that Deskri had made his own conclusions about it. She didn't mean to insinuate anything, but there it was. Rhun would sure be mad at her for that, but there was nothing that could change it now.

Either Deskri didn't know about Rhun's identity or he was persistent to keep the secret as well. "...i'm s-sure.. he's o-okay... you a-are both.. very r-resilient... " she offered, a smile peeking out from beneath her mask. "...m-maybe you'll s-see him s-soon..." she added, her eyes softening trying to tell him that it was going to be okay.

"..i...i should g-go..." she closed her eyes, bowing her head slightly since she couldn't exactly wave now that she had two children in her arms. She moved to the door to leave.

"It's fine. It doesn't matter." It did, though, but he wasn't going to admit it. He'd... consider poking Rhun about it when he returned from meeting whoever it was he'd left to see. "Resilient... yeah..." He snorted, shaking his head. More like he was too pathetic to even die. Too frightened to put himself out of his own misery and somehow kept developing the will to live on when others tried to do it for him.

"Ah.. okay." He followed her out to open the door for her... would she be able to get around? Well. It wasn't really his problem, honestly. Besides, one of them could probably wake up before she needed to open up another door. "It....... was nice seeing you. I guess."

Delilah turned to manuever out the door but her eye caught something as she did. She paused for a moment, her eyes narrowing slightly as her eyebrows upturned in concern. "....i-is every.. thing o-okay?.... " she asked, not breaking eye contact with what had caught her attention. If you followed her eyesight, her eyes had fallen onto the doorframe that was dented in and cracked and even blood was still smeared on it as though something hit it really hard. Or someone. Her eyes darted back to Deskri, looking very concerned. How could she have missed such an important detail as she had walked right past it earlier. She thought hard about what could have happened, she simply did not understand, which didn't happen very often at all. "...o-oma?..."

He stopped, blinking in confusion until he turned to follow her gaz-- oh. Oh no. He'd managed to forget about that. The blood on the door frame set him on edge again. He wrung his hands together, mind racing on how to answer her - what could he say that wouldn't give Rhun away? That wouldn't give away what he'd been talking to Rhun about?

"I..." He started, still not even sure what was going to come out of his mouth next. "It--i'ts fine there... uh..." His words failed him. He really didn't have an explanation for this at all. How could he explain the explosive rage that had come out earlier? He averted his gaze from her, and the wall, focusing on the ground. The ground was neutral - safe.

"......it's.. complicated. I don't know how to explain it." He might as well admit it - she wasn't a fool. She'd know something was wrong no matter what he said.

Delilah tried desperately to put the equation together but nothing quite made sense.

Did he slip and fall? No abrasions. And to hit that hard, he'd sure have been very unconscious.

Did he still have a Malice? Likely not since he said no, and she had no reason to disbelieve him on it.

Did Rasiel still have a Malice? Likely not either, she knew he had left while she was in his care.

Did Deskri do this? Also unlikely, he didn't seem strong enough to make that huge of a dent.

Maybe Rasiel?... She had never seen Rasiel get angry when she was a child. He didn't seem like the type to do that. Especially now that he was Rhun, he was even more calm than he had been back then. None of the facts added up, and this was the first time she had not known the answer to something in a very long time.

It's complicated. "...pl-please..." she beckoned. She was very concerned for his safety as he seemed very reluctant to tell her. "...w-was... somone e-else... here?" she asked, the one of very few answers she hadn't explored yet. Anything to beget more answers. "...i-im really.. s-strong... i-i can s-stop them..." she blurted out without thinking, she was calm about the matter but still obviously uneasy about the situation. If there was anything she could do to help, she wanted to know. "...y-you can t-tell me.."

He swallowed, nervousness increasing as he fidgeted. She made it sound as if he were in danger - well...he supposed from the outside it looked that way.

If you were anyone else this would be abuse~
But we all know you deserve this.
If he turns on you,
he will
You'll d e s e r v e it.

"I--... it's my fault." He finally sputtered out the response. He didn't want to say why - he couldn't bear to feel that shame crush down on him again so soon. It would be too much to bear. "He--... he just..." He just what? Who just what? He finally looked up at her, then over at the damaged door frame.... and then down at himself.

"I shouldn't have come here." He shook his head a little. It was the only logical answer here, really. If he said much else he'd out Rhun. He glanced at the two sleeping children, still reluctant to mention his name with them around. One person was one thing, but three? No, he didn't want to risk it. "I... appreciate... the offer, but it's fine... I just-- I didn't think. And it caused a small... problem... but it's fine. I think."

Oh, yes. That was so convincing.

"I mean-- it is fine. It shouldn't happen again. I-- I know better." He nodded, not fully aware of how his words made things sound.... Years of having to take the blame for the actions of others just made this sound logical - complete, perfect.

Her eyes narrowed in on his words. She watched his every movement, the way his voice sounded. That was enough to give her a direction to go off of. She wasn't exactly sure the answer, but she had a good idea. She took a deep breath, trying to concentrate everything on her speech so she could be heard clearly.

"It's... never... your... f-fault." she gave him a look that spoke a thousand words, as though she knew who it was, and that it wasn't right. And most importantly, that Deskri shouldn't be trying to cover it up let alone blame himself for it.

".. No... one... no..one... should make... y-you feel.. like this.." she continued, "Whoever... shouldn't... do it..." she tried to figure out how to say it, her speech still pretty hard to keep control of.

"If... he knows... what's good... f-for him... he won't." she half-threatened. She was slightly agitated that this was a talk she was having with Deskri, appauled that Rasiel could do something like this.

She sighed a bit, letting go of her anger over it, "Deskri... people... change... but .... we... w-work through... our demons..." she softened her eyes. "... we try... to ... be ... different... but it... t-takes... time..." she tried to reason with him. " ..but... if.. i-it... ever... happens a-again... tell me..."

"y-you... don't deserve... t-that.."
PostPosted: Sun Jan 10, 2016 10:40 pm

He swallowed again, hard, feeling as if a lump was forming in his throat that threatened to cut it off entirely. Why did these words mean so much? Why did it feel so nice to hear them yet hurt so badly? He struggled to push some tears back - this was not the time. Nice things shouldn't make people cry... so why did he want to so badly?

"I--..." He breathed in, deeply, shakily, then paused to collect himself before speaking again. "I don't--... I don't think... that it'll happen again... He... promised to... help me feel safe here..." He fidgeted a little more, running a hand through his hair to get some of it out of his face. "He just... he had problems... seeing what's become of me..."

She thinks he lashed out at you~
He should have. You don't deserve to be here.
You do deserve it.
Don't think for a second that you deserve anything better than misery.

He swallowed again, then sighed. "Thank you... for that... but I'm okay... ...even if-- even if it were to happen again... at me, it'd... be fine. I've had worse..." He managed a small, shaky smile, something to attempt reassuring her that things were fine. He could take it. He'd survive and live on.

You won't.
Not this time.
You're at the end of your rope.
This is your last chance and you know it.

"I'm sorry- to... have caused problems... I might... leave, I don't know. I don't want my being here to be a source of... trouble. For him. If he has difficulty...... maintaining certain appearances..."

Now they were on the same page about Rhun, that relieved her to know that Deskri as aware all along. "I th-think,... he c-cares a lot.... m-maybe he d-doesn't know... how to e-express that." she tried to reason with the situation. She was angry about it but then again, she didn't want to make Deskri worry that she'd cause more problems for him.

At me. "Deskri. Don't." she was slightly stern but calm. "It w-will not happen.. y-you can b-be sure of t-that." she reassured him. She wasn't going to stand for that. Not one bit.

"P-please s-stay... a-as far as that, h-he can w-work through it. W-with maintaining a-appearances, ... h-he's gotten v-very good at p-putting on f-facade. I w-will help i-if needed t-to make s-sure it d-doesn't cause p-problems...." She tried to smile, though her mask covered it. "I c-care about you... He c-cares about you. Y-you should h-have to feel l-like a burden. Y-you don't h-have to s-suffer alone.." She looked down to the two of the kids. "I-i should r-really g-get back. M-my number is in t-that cellphone t-too... C-call me if you n-need a-anything at all.... anything. She then left on her way to find a place for the two children to sleep.

He nodded slowly. He could see that-- he'd heard that. Rasiel cared deeply - and passionately - but perhaps a little too much. Deskri was not sure how to help him with that - how to open up about the things Rasiel would undoubtedly want to know without causing him to lose his temper. It frightened him, truthfully. Perhaps it was better that he never spoke of it. Just kept it wrapped up deep within him until he finally ceased existing.

"I--... I'll consider it... Thank you, Delilah." It was the second time today that he'd been told he was cared about. He was having trouble believing it - those words hadn't been spoken to him in a great number of years... Were they true? Were they lying? Delilah had no reason to lie to him, she could easily kill him it seemed... So could Rasiel. He just... didn't understand - couldn't understand.. "I will... t--...take care." He nodded, then closed the door after she left.

He sighed, leaning himself up against it for a moment as he tried to shoo the voices away - quiet them down again until he could go back to sleep... but first... His eyes wandered back to the blood stains on the wall. Anxiety threatened to rear its head again as the vision of Rasiel losing his temper made its way to the forefront of his mind - but he shoved it aside. This was not the time for it. He needed to clean that up.

Carefully he made his way to the kitchen, then searched for something to clean with... Finding only a towel, he decided it would be good enough for now and then wetted it with water. He then shuffled back to the wall, and began to scrub. Slowly. Painfully. Then desperate as it proved more difficult than he had initially thought.

He needed to erase this.
It needed to have never happened.
