Eagerly, Jade reached for the cat and gathered her up in her arms. Immediately the woman was holding the cat close, scratching gently beneath Lenore's chin and then between the ears. The happy purr of the cat had her humming pleasantly. "She's so sweet."
Jade didn't have pets of her own, couldn't justify one with how little time she had to care for one. It wouldn't be fair to herself or the animal, so she preferred to mercilessly love other people's pets.
She was so enamored with the cat she almost didn't hear Porsha's offer. Her head lifted after a minute, a soft "hm?" leaving her mouth before she smiled brightly. "Sure, a drink sounds nice. Thank you."
She went back to murmuring to the sweet pile of fur in her arms before she said, "you've been incredibly hospitable. I feel incredibly lucky to have gotten to me rescued by you."

Grinning, Porsha offered over a bottle of water as she returned to Jade and Lenore. "Shes a lover, that's for sure." The cat gave a chirrup as the fighter ran her nails under her chin and bent to lay a kiss between her ears. "Right place at the right time," she offered simply, looking up to the taller girl. "But I'd say you weren't the only one that lucked out tonight." No, Porsha had a feeling Jade would be a lovely addition to the Negaverse. She was going to have to keep the woman close. Lovely and silver-tongued as she was. "Are you tired?" A glance at the digital clock on the microwave confirmed how late it was getting. Po cracked open her bottle of water and took a drink, busying her freehand with attentive scratches behind the cat's ears. "You're welcome to stay here, if you are." Silver eyes flicked up. "I've got a big bed, or you're welcome to the futon." Either would have been fine for the night, though if Jade picked the latter, it'd result in something of a personal mission, getting the taller girl in her bed. Well, at least until she was told her advances were unwelcome.

It was hard not to smile around Porsha, the events leading up to their meeting aside, she was still a little giddy about getting to meet the Porsha Webber. Her fans would freak.
She took the water gratefully, carefully opening it while keeping her furry friend comfortably in her arms. "Well, lucky us," she chirped. Blue eyes flicked over to the digital clock and she took a moment to contemplate whether it was worth going back to her studio or not.
Because of the teleporting, she had no idea what the relative distance to her place was. "Yeah, I mean, I don't want to impose--" she glanced at the futon even if she was tempted by Porsha's bed. For another time perhaps, she had a roommate who might share the bed too.
As much as she wanted to potentially curl up in bed with the shorter woman, she decided against it. "Futon is good for now, tomorrow you can show me the rest of the complex and help me pick an apartment?"

Po waved it away with a grin. "No imposition at all, I'm happy to have you here." And she genuinely sounded it. The general liked to keep her agents close, when she could. It helped he keep track of them, if they were behaving. Made it easier for training. And for the most part, Porsha had found she enjoyed the ones she took under her wing. She enjoyed spending time with them. The fighter took that as a good sign. "Futon it is." For now. Po flashed Jade a grin as she stepped back so she could move the coffee table back against the opposite wall. Shifting the couch into a bed was easy enough, just a quick tug and pull, and Jade would have a nice, full sized bed to stretch out on. "There's already blankets there, and I'll grab you a pillow from the closet." Taking another drink of water, she headed down the hall. "Feel free to make yourself completely at home." She disappeared into the room at the end of the hall, but her voice floated back. "Speaking of, do you want anything to sleep in? Shorts, shirt?"

Jade should've found it startling how easy it was to slip into this new stage of life, but she didn't. Instead, she was eager to embrace every aspect of it, especially if Porsha was going to be a regular presence. That was something she could get used to, easily.
Gently she set Lenore down, moving to the futon and pulling the blankets along it. She shrugged her jacket off, folding it and setting it on the floor beside the legs of the makeshift bed, then set to work unlacing her ankle boots.
At the offer for a change of clothing, Jade took a moment to look at herself and the ensemble she was wearing. It was a simple dress and tights, something she didn't think she'd have trouble sleeping in. "No, no. I'll be okay. Really, you've done enough."
She pulled both legs onto the futon, accepted the pillow when it was offered and curled beneath the blankets comfortably. "Thanks Porsha," she mumbled softly, sleep quickly getting the better of her.
