As Solo began to venture off, the clash of swords and the roar of a crowd caught his attention. He turned to see the hero again, this time with a sparring partner up on the stage with him. He stared curiously, unsure of what was going on. A demonstration? No, if this was staged, Link would be winning. And who was the mysterious knight? Something wasn't adding up. And there were no guards around once the royalty had left, most walking among the crowds at the moment.
The dark hero started towards the stage now, his hand on his sword. He had an uneasy feeling about the sudden 'show'. Though many saw it as an act and continued to watch, he stood off to the side ready to step in if needed. He doubted that the newcomer was there for innocent sword banter. However, he was also aware of the legend. Given his title by the Great Fairy or not, he was still the green hero of old. Perhaps he had a surprise hidden away. Of course, he was also fairly new to the whole thing. Only time would tell if he could handle himself with this large opponent. If not, then he would step in to end the fight. Quickly if he could help it......
"......I do what I must to stop oncoming darkness."
Xavon had quietly appeared in the crowed noticing the big festival going on. as he looked around he tended to stay hidden and watch the festival go on. he walked around the area even walked passed the shops tables with his hood one and his katana in his hand using it like a cane. he wasnt sure what to expect so he stop under the shade and remained in the shadows and watched the festival go on looking at a big strange mirror with his arms crossed "So if im right that must be the twilight mirror the old man talked about .....hm looks like they're about to open it i hope they know what they are doing." Xavon spoke to himself quietly and kept his eyes out for anything suspicious.
₪As the Twili Emissary continued to watch the fight go on, not wanting to intervene as not only would it ruin the Hero’s pride, but this could also be used as a way to test the hero. While Imon had faith that he was indeed the Hero of this time, his strength needed to be shown in order for Imon to know just how much improvement needed for the calamity that would soon plague Hyrule and its people. Failure or Victory, Imon would be sure to warn the Hero of the darkness reaching Hyrule.
々Was this boy truly the Hero? This sniveling waste of skin that was pratically running from the challenge in front of him. He was not even worthy being near a sword or shield let alone wield them. It frankly sickened him as he began to swing at him, the blade deliberately striking the ground on either side of him before lifting his blade up above his head and swinging it down towards Link's head before stopping a mere inch from his nose and sheathing the sword. "People of Hyrule! Your so called Hero has failed to fight back against a fellow warrior in a sparring match! If he cannot fight back during a friendly duel, then what good is he in a real fight?!" He would announce loudly to all those who could hear before leaving the stage and Desert Collusus.
Link flinched and winced, seeing what he thought for a split second to be impending doom swiping down at him. He opened one eye, and, when seeing it was all over, opened the other to see a man much more trained and seasoned than he, framed by roaring, thronging people who's cheers were mixed with jeers for and against the Hero, standing over him. Awkwardly he would have to get up and take what the crowd threw at him. After that, and some gloating, the one who took his place as alphamale stepped down and away from the festival; wherever he was going to was uncertain, but Link would be sure to head in the opposite direction. Embarrassed, bored, confused, Link thought this the perfect time for an adventure. Immediately he torn his festive adornments off--to the delight of many a Gerudo in the crowd--and took off in the direction of the Eldin Mountains.
Hortensia the Younger |❦| ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ •❧ ஐ ❧• ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ |❦| Even with this rather dramatic scene playing out onstage, Hortensia found herself to be bored. Surely this was all a theatrical show that was going on. It was probably all planned. People were all just being fooled by this elaborate play. It was a nice thought, she guessed. Sure it wasn't entertaining to her, but if the king thought it was an okay form of entertainment, it was fine with her. She gasped as she was brushed up against yet again by that stupid peasant again. She felt such dislike towards these lower beings. Hortensia glared at the back of this woman. Dirty peasant. She watched the proceedings again with disdain. "How pedestrian. I tire of this ridiculous event." She huffed haughtily as she turned her back. The Twili held no interest to her, for they were lesser beings to her. She flipped her hair over her shoulder and slightly lifted her long skirts to walk away. Where to next? She didn't quite know. But she did know that she wanted to be as far away from this desert as possible. {Exit} |❦| ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ •❧ ஐ ❧• ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ |❦|

☠Solo Kaguya☠ The Dark Hero
"Though many may not see things my way......."
Solo watched closely as the fight went on, seeing that the hero wasn't ready for such a duel. Perhaps he spoke too soon when praising what few feats he has done. But then again, he was fairly new to this business. It takes time and effort to become a hero. Surely in time, his skills will sharpen and become quite the foe.
Once the knight made his point, he left, leaving Link to his embarrassing defeat. Solo calmed himself since he was obviously no longer needed to intervene. He watched as the green one fled off elsewhere as well. Perhaps to sulk? Or just escape the bad atmosphere now surrounding him? Regardless, Solo found no reason to stay here. Surely he could find business elsewhere. With that, he vanished into the crowd, heading for the borders of the desert.
[Exit]
"......I do what I must to stop oncoming darkness."
₪It had appeared that the Knight had shown mercy on the Hero, leaving him and exclaiming that he was not befit to be a Hero. What he said was untrue, it took courage to not fight back in front of a mass of people. While Imon did not know his intentions for not fighting back, the Twili knew that the boy would need to have his skills polished up if he was going to face the evil that was soon to come. Now that nothing of interest was here for him, Imon would take out a mirror before sticking his hand into it, causing a ripple on the Mirror's surface as though it was water before pulling his entire self into it, disappearing completely.

Ambiance~ Aura of Peace
Oh, if only I could have been there I'd be a hand for the sinking
In the midst of all the activity and hectic motion, Ambiance found herself separated from anything that seemed to demand her attention and she instead began to look around. This place, this festival, was happening in an open area. In consideration of those weaker to the sun, there were various canopies and tents that were up, and there were many stands selling and offering goods or hosting various games. She moved herself away from the activity and the noise and wandered in the direction of the monolythic structure that seemed to be the focal point of this area.
She studied it and adjusted the bag on her shoulder. This seemed like a strange place for such a large statue. Nevertheless, it was here, and there must have been a reason for it. So, as curiously as she ever took things, she stepped into the shadow of the colossus and took a closer look at the stone. The color of the stone was a golden-brown color, likely made from local sandstone... Though, the closer she came to the statue, the more she could make out details and more specific carvings. The colossus was built of many smaller pieces, deliberately stacked, and along and throughout this structure, there were carvings and impressions within it.
In wonder, she searched through the images. There were pointed ears and words that she couldn't translate as well as she would have liked to. The language was old... almost ancient, and since that time, language had changed. If she had to make a guess, it was likely that the language belonged to the Sheika, given how the letters flowed into each other. It was a unique trait that seemed to last through the ages. However, the same could be true of the Twili.
Ambiance continued to look about, however, in her searching, she found her eyes distracted by a particular series of carvings. There was a group, one of which had high hats and the others did not. There seemed to be no great difference between the two save their attire. They were, once, facing the same direction.... in another set of images, they had changed, with the one group turning to face the other. Curious, Ambiance lifted her hands to the stone and felt the texture of the carving under her fingers. These digits drifted down and along the panel, and with a confusing pause, she drew her fingers away. There were a few symbols here that she recognized.
She stared at these and tried to make sense of the context of the image. Where once was.... Then she stopped and took a step back to take in the entire mural.
"Twili and Sheika..." She was able to draw more and more parallels now that she recognized the depicted characters. The group had split... in order to split, once upon a time... they had to be the same. Something had happened to convince them to part ways. Ambiance approached the stone again to continue studying the pictures. Perhaps she could get a story from the stone.
I wish I could protect you here Oh, please don't cry, now, smile
She could very well get a better picture of what was going on by examining the stones, and it wouldn't be incorrect to suggest she was literally getting closer to the truth, but, as most exciting things are, this was the dangerous approach: an encroaching danger; suffice to say the truth was getting closer to the intrepid explorer as well. Like an unseen crocodile the ground beneath her would open and swallow her (sorry for the auto!) and snap shut.
The air inside was cool, and there was a noticeable draft suggesting the place was very large and not a random sinkhole. If Ambience took the time to explore a little she would find a magnificent painting taking up a good portion of one of the walls further in. It was a woman that didn't seem to be a queen but was venerated nonetheless. She had no crown, her skin was of a lunar silkiness, and she had slightly pointed ears.
Underneath was a piece of text written in a strange language {
} It would be virtually impossible for Ambience to read it, but suffice to say it piled on another layer of mystery to the already mystified ruins.
It's about Sheikah and Gerudo after the war, but Ambience can't know that yet.

Ambiance~ Aura of Peace
Oh, if only I could have been there I'd be a hand for the sinking
Never in the history of Hyrulian adventurers did anyone ever see the door trap coming. Ambiance as another victim of the floor when it opened beneath her and dumped her to the floor below. She was a bit surprised, as would anyone in such a situation, and she was stunned for a fair while as she struggled to gain her bearings again. Unfortunately, having fallen in the manner she did had sent her onto her royal backside.
"Ow...." She groaned and slowly picked herself back up again. She looked about the dark area, seeing that it seemed remarkably well intact. Then again, it was very likely that this place had not been touched for... generations. However, not one to be discouraged because of a surprise, and also because she didn't see herself easily climbing back up from where she fell, she began to look about herself. After a while, she found more art. At first, it startled her because it stood so boldly out from the darkness. However, the ambient light that came from the opening she fell through lit up the painting of a woman with skin that matched the glow of the moon.
Who was she?
Ambiance wondered this as she looked around for clues or hints. Beneath the picture were runes, however these predated the ones that she saw on the outside structure. She stared at these in wonder, clueless, and without any idea for what they might mean. Was the colossus simply built on top of this structure? Ambiance found herself wondering this as she stepped back and her eyes returned to the picture of the woman. So unique... she seemed almost alien in her beauty and the pigment of her skin and how the captured image portrayed her. There was so much that could be found out, explored... Ambiance was a bit sad that she didn't understand, yet at the same time, to have something to wonder about gave her encouragement. This would dance across her imaginings for a while.
The long minutes passed and Ambiance reluctantly stepped away from the image and the words that framed it. She needed to find an exit.
I wish I could protect you here Oh, please don't cry, now, smile
She would have to follow the light. It was the only logical thing to do. And though it was very dark in the hidden chamber a narrow path was illuminated by a second lightsource. It led to another series of caverns that seemed to go in a big circle. Each of them were fantastic in their own right, though, and certainly worth a look.
In the first room was a replica of an ancient goddess, a dozen feet tall and made of what appeared to be solid gold. If she were to stand if front of it to get a better look at it, the floor beneath her would lower slightly: a switch! Suddenly the light from above would shift to shine on the face of the statue and the doors would slam shut. If Ambience looked up to where the light was coming from she would see a series of mirrors, carefully placed on ledges that seemed, without considering some things, to be the fault of nature. They went all the way up to the surface, traceable to a few small cracks in the rocks above. In the corners were old torches, suggesting the mirrors weren't the mirrors weren't the only source of light, but since they were so dusty it seemed like they hadn't been used for ages. On the far wall were the same curious characters as under the painting. The said "Remember how it was," but Ambience wouldn't have this clue to go on.

Ambiance~ Aura of Peace
Oh, if only I could have been there I'd be a hand for the sinking
The air was a welcome relief that suggested that there was a way out somewhere. But in the meantime, she would keep exploring and looking around. She was in awe at her surroundings and like some artists were in museums, she took her time with each unique detail, and certainly wasn't in any hurry. She proceeded on, following the light as most people in the dark were prone to do, and in each room, she took in the images and the pictures, and noticed a kind of pattern of repeating images.... A woman, perhaps even goddess, that was well loved and respected by the people who built this structure.
Ambiance continued on and found what seemed to be the central part of this structure. The sheer height of it suggested that it stretched up through the center of the colossus that was built around it and above it. Were they conjointly built? Was this area once open to the sky? Or had the original design of it been for it to be so protected by the stone all about? These questions and more hovered through Ambiance's mind as she approached the giant statue in absolute wonder. The work... the craftsmanship... the sheer amount of time that it must have taken to create this giant monolith.... it must have taken many months, years! Not to mention the resources required....
She stepped up to the statue, curious of touching it, when she felt the floor shift beneath her and something heavy click into place. Light shocked her eyes as it suddenly fell on the golden statue and then lit the room. It suddenly seemed like more of an auditorium and the statue seemed to be placed on an altar. Ambiance looked up, feeling shocked wonder in the way the light fell. It wasn't just a natural way that light fell. As she looked, she saw glass.... like mirrors... or were they crystals that nature had grown there? Whatever the truth was, it seemed like a wondrous illusion and a vision in itself...
With this light Ambiance could see more of the room about her. There were little glistening lights, glints of metal that might have held ancient torches once upon a time. There were more words that were carved into the wall, but Ambiance couldn't translate these either. Even so... this was such a unique place....
Wait a second... were the doors shut? Ambiance felt her face fall and the color left it in her sudden worry. The mysticness of the room was one thing, and she had no doubt that she would remember it, but she didn't want to be trapped. She searched the area. Maybe the shift that opened the light above also opened another door?
I wish I could protect you here Oh, please don't cry, now, smile
But nothing happened. No matter what, where she stepped, where she pushed on the walls, which had just the most terrific assortment of mosses on them--the type of variety that could make a botanist a scientific hero--there would be no such luck finding a hidden switch and/or lever to rescue Ambiance. She would have plenty of time to figure this one out, but the situation was growing more desperate for sure, seeing as Ambiance seemed to rely on the--*cough*--ambient light filtering in from the crevasses littering the rocky roof rather than her lantern. Little did she know this would actually be her saving grace, the words scrawled on the walls near the torches would reaffirm this.
If she moved to inspect the torches more closely she would find a mound of dust at the foot of at least one of them hiding the bones of an unfortunate explorer. In his hands were a tray and a stick: instruments to light a ceremonial torch. You could tell it was a male skeleton because of the pelvis and the heavy armor floating around it.
Meanwhile, Link was out there on that grind. Doing that business! Gettin' it! ... He was lookin' for Chu's to slay for their gloriously goopy bodies. And it was going pretty well as he saw it. Had another jar to use, and he was damn sure going to find one. ... But after a while the sun was beginning to wear on him.
So he decided to take a break and get some refreshments at the festival. He wasn't that far away, just a short run, so he'd be there in no time, but from a ways out he noticed something was off. There was a glint he hadn't noticed before. It caught his eye and made him slow down. After a moment he saw the trap door that had opened in front of one of the walls.
Immediately the Hero cut and went for the ruins of the Desert Colossus. He first wanted to check out that place as much as anyone, and this trap door seemed like the best way in. Once he jumped in he proved a natural inclination for dungeoning that simply couldn't be chance. A short moment brought footsteps, and eventually Link's voice calling out to Ambiance. He looked so happy to see her; not to mention this was a friend in his favorite setting. Seriously, this was perfect for Link. Ambiance seemed worried, but Link knew they could find the golden Chu before Relma's birthday.

Ambiance~ Aura of Peace
Oh, if only I could have been there I'd be a hand for the sinking
Ambiance, indeed, was the saving grace of this descendant of an ancient queen from a place that had no connection to this particular world. As she searched and as she looked, she found nothing amidst the foliage and the dust... .... Cobwebs... She shuddered and pressed on, and shirked back while somehow successfully keeping her panicked screeches down to a minimum. Critters here might have died a long time ago, but where there was air, there was room enough for bugs. Spiders, naturally, followed.
She was nothing like the heroes she heard of. Certainly not like the one who saved the kingdom of Labrynna. She was grateful to find something like a torch. Shame she didn't bring anything.... Maybe there was something around. She stopped and began to look. Unfortunately, that brought her face to face with a skeleton. Like any natural person who grew up by the sea and was well accustomed to living people, she panicked and threw herself back. Her balance had been dethroned and she was sent tumbling onto her backside, scrambling away from the corpse that was sunken into the heavy armor that they wore. It did take her a while to recover from that shock. Corpses meant death. This was either someone who was deliberately buried here or they were trapped and died from dehydration or starvation alone in the room with a golden statue.
That's going to be me?! She stared at the skull for many moments. Then the panic actually kicked her adrenaline and she leapt up to renew her efforts to find something. She braved approaching the skeletal corpse, in case there was something there. Obscured by dust and time, she found a few things that could be of use. A sharp rock and steel. Flint? This caused sparks, right? Would it work on one of the torches?
She blew off the dust and dirt from the pieces and decided to give it a try, moving back to the torch and lighting it after... well..... ten attempts to coax a spark from the pieces. Then after the sparks were quickly leaping from the flint and steel, she was able to land one of the sparks on the ancient torch. It took it a bit, but once it did catch the dry material, it began to consume it. Soon after that, it was giving off light and warmth that she could use. She picked up the torch, or tried to, but it was heavier than she thought it would be.
She decided to leave it there... at least for a few moments.... while she tried to calm down and get her emotional bearings. She began to pace the main chamber, walking this way and that. She didn't remember any other doors or exits... she certainly didn't have the jump height to go back up through the trap door.... What el-
.... A familiar voice?
She came to a stop and listened. Footsteps. She listened on. Was there someone else in here? Did they fall in like she had? ... Then she had just led someone else to their death, didn't she? Maybe not. Maybe they came in from another way. She heard the footsteps enter the main statue room, and she heard a familiar voice call out to her. Her name. ... That was the face of a friend.
Words really couldn't express how happy she was to see him there! The tension in her shoulders shifted to weight that caused them to relax and her posture seemed to sink from being broken from the stiff worry that it had been wound into. She picked up her feet, not thinking at all, and rushed at him. There was a friend who was capable of jumping across roofs who was in here and who she could trust. She would throw her arms around him in a tight hug.
The reassurance of a friendly face... offered absolutely no comparison.
I wish I could protect you here Oh, please don't cry, now, smile
Link stumbled a bit, caught off guard by the sudden powerhug, but wrapped up the overjoyed Ambiance and gave her a squeeze nonetheless. The door behind him had been opened by whatever Ambiance had done, but that only led back to that impossible drop from before. Link knew the walls were too wide to parkour up that one, and after a brief look around the room his face showed that concern.
But that wouldn't stop the Hero. Holding up a finger, he headed over to the torch to give it a closer look. He hesitated a little at seeing the skeleton, but pressed ahead in a display of bravery that would seem somewhat odd for one of his background; but not so much when you remember his title. The skeleton had a tray as well as materials to light a fire. If the torch nearest him didn't need a tray for oil in order to hold a flame, why did this poor guy have one? Link took a few paces and found another torch at the far corner of the room. A quick inspection of it, because Link ran most places, yielded confirmation that the tray was in fact needed.
With a smile Link took the tray from the skeleton and placed it on the other torch. As the dust was displaced and shifted a grim reality was revealed to Ambiance. In the pile of dust was a sword, the blade facing this unlucky fellow. Link wouldn't notice this, too busy with lighting the other torch, which he did with some help from his lantern's oil. Immediately the door opened. Link called for Ambiance to follow him out of this crazy place.
In the other room a terror the likes of which no one actually thought existed, a legend that is, waited. This was a kind of abomination that could only come to be with the right--or wrong, if you'd rather--conditions all coming together in the most astronomically terrible luck. The room was pitch black; the beast would be heard rather than seen as it crawled along the cold floor.
The sound it made was disgusting. Link felt it moving in a big circle around them, and whatever it was was huge. He took out his lantern to get a better look at it--or a look at all--and was floored by what he saw. It was... A golden Chu. It was huge! It was almost long enough to connect in a circle around them as it moved, even from the decent distance it kept. It was thick enough to be called a good ox by Ordon standards, and it's skin gave off a sparkle not unlike the statue when the light hit it; truly living up to its name.
With something of a smirk, Link drew his sword and motioned for Ambiance to stay low and out of his radius. The beast reared up like a cobra and lurched at Link. The Hero jumped and met the creature head on, putting a deep cut into its head, but the Chu's body seemed to absorb the damage well, only showing minor wear, and Link was instantly swallowed by the behemoth. With Link suspended in the Chu's stomach, the next dish would be Ambiance. The Chu slithered toward her, its tail already surrounding the blueblood, and would attempt to devour her the same as it did Link.
