Shiki's tails started to move a bit as he looked at the new screen. What would he do now? He again had only four choices and it seemed that he was going to have to guess to move to the next level.
Shiki took a deep breath and hit another button.
SPARE!
It seemed to be the right choice and he found himself walking past the princess and facing the last creature. Phew... one more to go and he would be done.

This was the strangest thing he had seen in a while. It looked like a Taiga, but it wasn't so he didn't know what to think of it at all. Once more he was given a list of choices on how to deal with it, and so he once more hit a button and hoped for the best. Had Shiki's luck turned around?
FITE?
Shiki hit the button and the creature killed him. Over.. done, he looked at the screen and groaned. He had been doing so much better too.
Oh well.... game over, he would try again later.

Whoops. She had though that maybe talking to the enemy this time would be the same as sparing them? Apparently not. The screen blipped out to a 'GAME OVER' screen. Aureole upturned her hands in a claw-like way with the expression of 'why?' across her face. Frustration was one of the few emotions that were running across her face but she would try her hardest to keep herself from punching the machine with everything she had. She didn't exactly want to pay for a machine that she damaged. Would NOT be a pleasant story to tell.

Damaris wasn't really one to play games. But this one didn't look as violent as some of the games she had seen before. This one had... Unique ways of solving problems without the need for violence. And that seemed to be right up the Terron's alley. The first enemy actually looked kind of cute. She had several options it seemed so she decided to talk to the cute looking ghost. Why not? He looked like a pleasant boil that would have enjoyed a small conversation. Possibly about the music he was listening to. Apparently, that wasn't the right decision. She blinked a few times at the blinking 'GAME OVER' title that appeared across the screen. Well, she had THOUGHT that that would have been the best option but she supposed not... Maybe this game was a lot harder than what she had initially thought. Still interesting though. Maybe she would come back later for another go at it. Quote: TALK?: They end up telling you how they want to go to college and go on about munies and starfruits and is this all a dream from 365 days ago??? You can't deal with the walls of text and hit the machine, causing it to glitch. GAME OVER

try 1With his hands now nice and cold and productive after a long afternoon of snowman making, and with just enough of a wounded pride after the House Cup competitions and failure to be abstatic, Wrex roved along until he found an excuse to fight. Well, in this case it was more using a machine to fight things apparently, but he would take it. Impatiently he sat through maybe two seconds of the introduction before mashing the button to begin. Wait, he had to pay to win? What was this farce of a booth? Everything else had been free to play...Jacking hell. He managed to produce a few seeds, passing the professor tending to it a look before beginning. Who care if this was historically accurate or not as long as he got to come out a winner, right? The first monster to appear looked pretty harmless. As far as Wrex was concerned, that meant it was weak. One hit of the FITE button later, and the ghost had dissipated, mourning that he hadn't tried listening to its mixtape. What the heck were those? He hoped not a delicious snack... (He forgot he wouldn't exactly be able to eat it.)

try 1The next thing to appear on his screen looked like another werewolf or something. It looked pretty prissy. Was there an option to prank it maybe? Dye its fur or scare it out of its wits? Not that he had any problem with FITE-ing some more... Unfortunately, Wrex was a little clumsy with his hands, however, and he skipped over the option and straight towards Spare like a wuss. "No no no," he grumbled at the machine as the princess wolf thing began to chastise him for looking the other way.

try 1Apparently he was stuck in an endless loop of text from the princess pup forcing him to praise her, and Wrex was just not having any of that thanks. With a huff, he hit the reset button in hopes of getting a second chance at this stupid game. And he would. The screen seemed to glitch for a moment before introducing him to a newer, better version of the game. the kind where he would have to FITE everything to win. Bring it on, machine.

try 1 - PONY RUNSo, it was just a recreation of the first run, except his options were more limited. And a heck of a lot better as far as the boil was concerned. With a grin, the boil maneuvered to one of several FITE options and gleefully gave the ghost another smack down. How was this a history lesson again...?

try 1 - PONY RUN (fail) This thing again? Well, now he could get his revenge and put the princessy little p***y in her place as a loser who clearly needed to get a life. Unfortunately, Wrex's control once again slipped, and instead of clicking FITE, he hit the single TALK? button. With a cry he tried to rectify his mistake--maybe the game would let him have a second chance--but the machine seemed too glitched or too vengeful to care. A loud looking GAEM OVER flared on the screen and left Wrex glaring. Sheesh, he couldn't even win a stupid game now? What was a monster to do?

try 1It was starting to wind down as far as the House Cup was concerned. Reapers and Ghosts were still headbutting for the lead, and it was that which made her a little nervous to find out the final results from the Festive Fight. She hadn't done quite as well as she had wanted to--her best Fear had actually failed her. FAILED HER. And when she had kicked so much butt with it before... She really needed to burn something else into her eyes; the image of herself in a tacky and awful sweater would not leave her alone, like some sort of Christmas Curse or something. So Piper wandered around until she found a booth with a game that looked suitable for her needs. It looked a little...in disrepair, though. You'd think the teachers would have funded for a better looking machine. Shrugging it off, Piper inserted a few silver seeds and clutched the controller. The graphics were...something else. Was this thing pirated? She was pretty sure this history was pretty incorrect, at least as far as she had payed attention in classes. And she was also pretty sure ghosts with headphones were definitely anachronistic. Oh well. On hit of the FITE button later, and it disappeared, sad that she wasn't interested in its collection of music.

try 1Her next opponent was...Oh gosh, it was actually kind of cute. The game labeled it as a princess, though a princess of what, Piper didn't know. Was it upset that she had killed the ghost? Was it her friend maybe? The game didn't exactly make a whole lot of sense to begin with, so she wasn't sure why she was trying to inject logic in it in the first place. Although tempted to hand the princess an a** whooping, the ghoul decided maybe she ought to be a little nicer to royalty and tried to choose spare. The princess, for some reason, took it to mean that it was now being ignored and began to throw a small fit. Seriously? Jack damn it, game, what did you want from her?

try 1 (reroll) You know what? After a few more rants about being ignored, the text seemed to glitch out. Piper frowned slightly and wondered just how trashy this machine really was. Did the teacher fish it out of a dumpster or something? Sheesh. Maybe she ought to just reset it and try her luck again? Upon pressing the button, it almost looked as though she would be able to do so. However, she would soon be proven wrong, as the screen turned black, and a few words popped up.

try 1 - IMMORTAL RUNImmortal Run."Wait, what?" Piper was a little flabbergasted as the game seemed to go into a new mode she hadn't seen available previously. Was that written in? More junk code? What was going on please help?? She was fighting the same creature again to boot. Grumbling something under her breath, Piper went to just FITE it again, but her stick seemed to be on a delay. She hit it several times and instead selected SPARE which, apparently, was the right thing to do this time. Was the correct choice just random or something?

try 1 - IMMORTAL RUNOh look, it was the princess again! Maybe she could just pet it this time or something, since there were a whole lot of non-violent options going on here. Deciding to experiment, she chose spare again, and sure enough that seemed to make the princess happy. So the whole point of this run was just not to hurt things? Well alright then.
