Apearl huffed, swatting as Sillimanite had posed herself over the closest bushel of bright pink flowers with a rather large watering can, straining under the weight of fertilizer sacks on her back.
2. THE NEW BIEBER CD: FAILURE "SOLD OUT?!" Both mares huffed in exasperation, Apearl pacing worriedly in front of the sign on the store and biting at her inner cheek.
3. TOMORROWS' LEFTOVERS: SUCCESS "Aaand that should do it!" She cheered, nodding at Sillimanite to throw the switch. With a click and a significant amount of whirrs and light, a steaming tray of pasta appeared on the platform.
"O-oh. Oh dear, I had thought we were making lasagna tomorrow...."4. THE WORKINGS OF AN INTELLIGENT MIND: SUCCESS The scribbling of pencils was only drowned out by the constant ticking of the nearby clock, and a shuffle of papers as Sillimanite slid hers against Apearl's hoof,
"How about this one?"A single glance, and Apearl was a-twitter,
"Yes, this is PERFECT!"5. LIMITED EDITION GOLDEN TOILET PAPERWEIGHT: FAILURE "Well, it certainly is interesting..." Apearl held the paperweight as if it might bite, setting it lightly on her desk,
"But not quite what I had in mind."6. THE MOST INTENSE ESKIMO KISS EVER: FAILURE "Ow! Owowow! No that's not it! Why would you use your hoof?" Apearl held her eye delicately is it reddened and watered beneath her touch. Sillimanite shrugged half-heartedly, hiding a cringe,
"You should uhm... save that for her, not me..."7. HOT COCOA MIX: SUCCESS "Hmm... Swiss Miss or Nestle? Is there a difference in flavor?" Apearls' gaze flicked between the two packages, not quite sure which to go for and throwing both into the cart.
8. A HAND-PAINTED PORTRAIT: SUCCESS "Are you sure painting this from a picture is wise?" Sillimanite asked over Apearls shoulder, grimacing as the sudden splash of the brush to canvas sent a spatter of yellow onto her cheek.
"Well, it IS a surprise, she can't pose for it!" Apearl huffed, her own face equally spattered in an array of color.
9. GLITTERY SILLY PUTTY: SUCCESS As the glitter was folded into the clear purple goop, Apearl seemed alight with the idea that this was a toy intended for youngsters. Who ever heard of goop being a toy?
10. A NOTE OF APEARLS' HEART AND SOUL: FAILURE As yet another crumpled paper flew into the wastebin, Sillimanite sighed,
"Maybe you could tell me, and I could write it?" Apearls' head lashed around so quickly, her emblazoned cheeks such a sheer sign of nervousness and... personal writing woes, Sillimanite quickly silenced herself and went about picking up litter.
