Maeva heard there was a substitute for science class, and that they were doing a quiz. Thankfully she'd brushed up on her science notes and so wasn't too concerned about what the quiz was over. As the sub handed out the quiz, Maeva mentally went over her notes. A smile lit her face as she looked through the questions. It was a good thing she hadn't panicked. Neatly filling in all the answers, she signed her name at the top of her paper and then went to turn it in. She hoped Shannon had done as well as she had.

Laviticus rather enjoyed Science class. He had always found the things he learned there to be quite useful and informative. Though he founds the assignments a little too easy. Unscrambling the letters for the plant part names had been quite easy to do. At least he enjoyed the colour of the flower!

The worksheet was nice and simple. Just a quick word unscramble. Parodia had no trouble at all. She wrote her name on the top and rushed to turn it into the substitute at the front. "Next time, give me something a lot harder!" she told them with a toothy grin. The mutated bapho headed to her next class, hoping to see her group of friends there.

First Grading Period! I'm trying something new this month--we will have one assignment per month for each grade level, but at the halfway point of the month, all entries that have been submitted so far will be "graded" (ie, you will be quoted that your character has passed or not passed). This will be the "first grading period." At this point, the number of characters you have entered rolls over--if you had two freshlings entered at the beginning of the month, you may now enter two more! Hopefully this will help people get their characters through classes faster. (I had meant to do this Sunday, but I forgot. Sorry!) As a reminder, you may only enter two characters per grade per grading period--if you enter three, the third will be disqualified. I'm letting Koi's character Rorie slide, but only for this month, because it's the first time I've had to deal with this. So just to recap, the assignments stay the same--but your characters have passed and you may now enter up to two more per grade level! Note on the grading of junior assignments: if your character's grade would have been a passing one in real life, then your character passed! Geyser Eelborn Talya, Evelyn; Anchriesel (6/7) Lavender Hues Dahlia, Sequoia; Zephyr (6/7) Natsuko-neko Nikora, Arya; Shannon (7/7) -Mayuri Yukimura- The substitute teacher raised an eyebrow. They liked this student. "I will take that as a challenge," they murmured. Parodia Random Nobody13 Maeva (7/7), Elliah (5/7) Teacher's note attached to Elliah's paper: Two of your answers were technically correct in a very general sense--but not specific enough to be the correct answers (2&3).

Gwen arrived in class, she sat down after taking the assignment sheet. She looked it over carefully and filled it out to the best of her ability. She was calm and confident that she would do well. After all it was a rather simple assignment. Gwen was more nervous about being around so many people. She would rather be hiding under her covers studying.

Coco was really nervous and a bit upset that Milo wasn't with her when she went to the class. It took Coco longer than she would like to fill out the form since she had to respell things, nervous about being around so many people she didn't know. Also, she was nervous since it was a science class, rather than an art class. She wish she could be painting with Milo instead of filling out a paper of flower parts. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath and went back to her work.

Ruddi walked into the classroom kind of excited to be there. Today they will learn more about stars. The presentation was super cool with the correlation of the colors with the age of the stars. Today would be a really good day to paint something similar. Maybe different galaxies?

Bibiana tried to listen as the substitute explained about cells, but after a while, her mind started drifting. She kept her gaze on the board but in her mind she was playing a new game with Farah... Occasionally she would drag her attention back on the sub, but she inevitably started fidgeting, thinking about something else.

Kyleigh smiled as she took a seat in the science classroom. It wasn't quite chemistry, but it was still much more interesting and easier for her to understand science than pretty much anything else. She listened intently to the lecture and filled out her worksheet quickly before turning it in.

Taegan blinked slowly as they listened to the lecture. Astronomy wasn't very interesting to him. They stars would be there for much longer than they would. They didn't understand why they needed this information.... But still. School was school. They listened and got the information they needed before filling out and handing in the worksheet.

Aella sat in the back of the room like normal and dutifully wrote her notes and did her assignment. She ended up with some free time though and read until the period ended and quickly shuffled out once the bell rang.

Nissa seemed to be perhaps too happy to be sitting around in a circle with the other students. She finally got to look at everyone, trying to lock names and faces into memory. She almost didn't hear the substitute explaining the assignment, causing her to blink and pause once it was her turn, before she glanced towards the board, a big grin spreading over her lips at the sight of the assignment.
"Oh! Ohhhh! I know! My favorite plant is.... Uhh..." she pouted somewhat, slowly settling back in her seat. "Um... actually, I don't know. I love all plants. They're all important to the world in some way. Some plants turn into food, and others make things smell good, and some help insects grow and make more little bug babies... all plants are really important..." she began, pouting more, before finally letting a bright smile curl on her lips.
"But I guess I'll say all Fragaria are my favorite! That's the family that strawberries belong to! Strawberries are so good and I could eat them all the time! My papa used to say that my momma fed me a lot of strawberries as a baby, and that's why my hair is pink, but I know that's not true, cause his hair is pink too!" she said with a giggle, her smile nearly splitting her face in two.

As the young fey spoke, Lilianne simply snorted softly, resting her cheek in the palm of her hand, her claws tapping gently against her face as she waited for the girl to finish speaking, knowing that she was most likely up next, since that was always her luck in all the classes she seemed to share with the fey--which was, sadly, all of them so far.
Once the Fey finally finished speaking, Lilianne sighed, shrugging as it became her turn.
"I don't know a lot of plant facts. I know that there are some carnivorous plants--so they eat insects and stuff instead of just getting nutrients from the ground. I think most people know about the venus flytrap, which is I guess the most popular plant like that. I guess that's my favorite," the young Litch said with a shrug, not seeming to care about elaborating further. Why were they talking about plants, anyway? Sure, this was science class, but there were more interesting things than plants. If she wanted to learn about plants, she'd take a herbology class or something!
