"Me?" Ever's own expression lit up at the idea, as if it was some great achievement that someone didn't trust him -- and the pleasure melted to a laugh as Matt went down again. He shook his head, fixing the tower for them, and took another piece. Life labs trained him well, apparently. He tugged it free with ease, and balanced it carefully on Matt's head so it would fall next to him when he sat up. ROUND 1: 5/5 pieces down // 5 points! ROUND 2: 5/5 pieces // 15 points! There was a deep groan as Matt woke up again, the brick falling as he he propped himself. Another groan came as sat up picking the piece and throwing it across the floor in Ever’s direction. There was a look on his face as if he was trying to remember what had happened last. After a minute he pulled himself into his chair and took a piece from the tower adding it to the pile. “Do you just always smile?” leaning against the table he propped his chin up with his hands. “Yes and no. I don't know what you do all the time but the two times I have met you…yes.” Last time he hadn't been able to guess what the man was thinking either when he shoved food at him. Pulling another piece the tower remained intact as Matt kept his eyes on Ever. “I can't tell if you just strongly dislike, just want to mock me or overall like to smile because you are polite in some way. "Can't it just be a smile?" Ever's answer was frank and easy, his eyebrows raised as he wiggled a piece free -- a tricky piece, the tower shifted just a little before resettling. He added it to the pile and settled his chin in his hand to peer back at Matt. "I never thought about it much. Maybe it's a defense mechanism from less friendly times..." “There’s nothing wrong with it being just a smile. It’s a cute smile, but always there.” Maybe he was just overly self conscious knowing someone else did the same thing as he. Anytime someone asked him something he didn’t want to answer, when he was annoyed, mad, hell ripped his clothes, anything it was easy to just smile, lie and smile. Matt picked a piece off the tower, less pieces remained and he was sure that it wouldn’t take too long for him to knock it over again. Matt stared intently at him, watching as he took apiece easily from the tower the grin still on his face. Even if he believed him or not it was rather cute in the “I am too skinny” way that would make anyone worry. “That’s it, just whatever you think to others.” It was rare to hear, if Matt believed it or not but he was inclined to somewhat. It was different. He picked a piece, the tower wobbled and then easily toppled over across the table as Matt groaned. He slipped out of the chair and laid down on the floor. “Sorry, messed that…” He was asleep soon. Matt would have been rather ********, were he in Life; those quick reflexes and nimble fingers more of a necessary trait, in Ever's division. Or maybe it was other activities that made him so quick. This time, when Matt collapsed, he actually laughed; dissolving into it for a while, checking the time and then righting the tower. He recovered the pen, and drew more tally marks on Matt's face. Then he sat back to wait, not really wanting to leave the other Hunter too far in his wake. When Matt woke, he raised his eyebrows. "Bit of a sleeping beauty? Something keeping you up at night?"

His body was stiff, more so than the first time realizing he had probably been asleep even longer than previously. Blinking his eyes, Matt groaned as he sat up rubbing his face and giving a dismal look at the smudge black ink on his fingers. Flashing a look at Ever for a moment he continued to rub his face before giving up before answering the other man’s question. “Yes, it’s called the infirmary, not that I wish it wasn’t something or someone else entirely. It’s my fault though so I can’t complain too much. I keep over volunteering, get stuck covering other people’s shifts, double shifts, randomly get people shoved at me to care for, etc. etc.” He waved his hand dismissively gicing a casual grin. “Between that and training I don’t do anything else but fitting occasional hours to sleep in somewhere if I can, like now. How long was I out this time?”

"A while, this time." Long enough that the tallymarks had merged, a bit, into a spider-like creature on Matt's face. It would be an entertaining sight for the man to find in the mirror later. Ever grinned again, and pointedly took out another piece, holding it up in demonstration. If this had been a versus game, he would have been winning. "I think you're out, now." He pulled himself into his seat again, chin in hands as Matt watched Ever take another piece, he was well aware that the hunter had won. At least there was no real lost for him, losing wasn’t anything new. He grinned. “I guess that is the end of sleeping for me.”

"Now, you just get to watch." Ever put just a note of something suggestive into it, eyes flicking up onto Matt's face as he pried another piece free -- not quite batting his eyelashes but all but. Of course Matt watched Ever, not so much in him pulling a piece a of a tower, but the expression of his almost batting eyelashes to the grin that spread on his face. “No no, continue, I am quite enjoying the show.” A crooked grin was on his own face, he leaned forward even more his hands folded under his chin.
