Rat peered off to the left tilting his head to take that side of the island and the path that went that way. " Left sounds good" Smiling Rat help out his hand to Brenton turning so he was ready to head down the left path.

Rat took a deep breath rubbing the bandages covering his hands together. He was a bit frightened at the idea of exploring the island. While the place did feel like home to him he knew nothing about it, nothing about himself in fact at the moment and this on going confusing was really hurting his head. And the pain called back to the wounds covering his body, He didn't think the wounds had to with fighting or anything like that but they were painful and he wished that what ever had caused them wouldn't happen as often as it did.
Shaking the thoughts from his head Rat headed off to the left side of the island. He was going to find those lock and key that were on this island no matter what it took. He wanted to know what was going on, who he was and if this was what it took then so be it. At that moment as he headed off to explore the boy couldn't help but wish he had paper and a pen at that moment wishing for some reason to take notes of the events going on. Once again he felt as if though perhaps he could write of this adventure, but he did not understand why so he tried to forget the thoughts and focus on finding what was apparently lost here.

Brenton walked along with Rat, he looked over at him. Watching his movements, he worried about Rat's condition on this adventure. Brenton couldn't tell him he should rest this was Rat's battle to fight and he deserved the lock and key. After all, they had been through, personally Brenton thought the 5 deserved a lot more than they had gotten out of this mess. "Why the heck were your 5 chosen anyway, why did someone decide to bully you and Raccoon??" Brenton shook his head and grumbled "At least Bear, Cat, and Fox, seem rather brave, no offense, but you and Raccoon make me feel really protective. It makes me so angry someone hurt you and your group" Brenton said with a sigh as he went back to looking for clues to finding the lock and key..

Rat looked over to Brenton and shrugged, he honestly had no idea at all why he or any of the others had been chosen and to be honest he didn't really have opinions of most of the others. ".... I don't know why we were picked and I don't remember much about the others so I don't know why they seem stronger or whatever they are to be less picked on. Though I don't really remember being picked on either." Spotting a flower off the trail Rat stepped off the trail moving to it. Leaning down to sniff the flower Rat took a deep breathe before wrinkling his nose trying not to sneeze. " Part of me wants to say we came from this place... but at the same time I don't know how that would be possible?"

Brenton nodded and then said "Who's to say where any of us came from?? Besides didn't those strange little guys kinda say this was where we all came from??" Brenton asked, he couldn't quiet remember..

The orb of light would jiggle and make a soft melodic ring sound when touched, but didn't budge more than that. It was veeeery slowly moving around the dial though, seeming to be fueled by magic. It was also a very odd texture, like trying to touch a warm cloud, though it would tingle with a strange energy instead.
The other orbs around the garden would do the same.
Still as the Ring echoed through the garden, Rat would see a glimpse of a library all around him, as if he was temporarily standing by his younger self, reading. This would only last a few moments and only Rat would see this, but he'd remember one other thing, the name "Mahil".
There'd be a smaller flash of light nearby, that seemed to respond to the Orb, and a small, glowing key would be found in the grass.

Rat touched his face his hand covering his mouth, he stumbled and tried not to fall. He remembered...something,, a library himself...his name. Falling to his knees, rat,,, no... Mahli let out a soft grunt as he tried to process what his mind had just seen.
"B..brenton" He spoke softly as if though afraid the memories would flee from him once again if he did anything wrong in any sense of anything. Wiping his hand over his mouth Mahli bent his head and sucked in a deep breathe. The memories were still there!...They were staying. Mahli smiled softly and glanced around him before noticing the small glow. Inching forward on his knees, the boy gently moved the grass from around the key to peer down at it., He was a bit frightened to touch it incase he got another flash of memory. It wasn't that he didn't want the memories it was more along the line he wasn't sure how to handle even the small random bit he had just gained let alone another. "A,,A,,,a key:

Brenton knelt down and touched Rat's shoulder, he didn't bother to ask if Rat was ok, since something clearly rattled him. "Breath Rat, breath it will be alright" Then he looked at the key that Rat found and smiled and said "Great job"

Mahli startled a bit when his shoulder was touched before taking a deep breathe and turning to look at Brenton. He wasn't exactly sure how to state what had just happened. He was sure now he had gained back some tiny fragment of memory. Rubbing his forehead he looked from the key, to Brenton to the orb then back again to the key and Brenton. "... I ...remembered something... I'm Mahli.. My name is Mahli"

Brenton smiled "Well that's a smart, nice to meet you Mahil" Then Brenton looked at the key, perhaps the key to his memories?? "Well then I guess we're on the right track smart guy"

Mahli nodded slightly before reaching down to touch the key. He did so slowly still a bit apprehensive of what might happen. Making contact with the key Mahli paused for a moment before lifting it. " I wonder why locks and keys are they symbols to just this whole memory loss thing or more than that? Why not some sort of symbol of this place.

"Maybe but a door with out a lock on it? Wouldn't that be point less? You could just open the door then with the lock not on it unless the key opens two things?" Shaking his head, Mahli brushed his hair back from his face before standing and putting the key into one of his pockets. "Do we just keep randomly searching for the lock then? Or cause this was by the orb do we look for something else that stands out?"

Mahli nodded at bit looking over at the gate. "I didn't see a place for a lock when we came in but I wasn't really paying attention. Lets go take a look then we'll go back to searching the rest of the island" Mahli groaned slightly as he bent to wipe his legs off from being on the ground. " Maybe I'll find out why I hurt all over next"
