Alvin hadn't even reached the library yet when he was approached by a woman not much older than him. Maybe four years? "Alfred Mathis?" "Um....Yes?" "I have an invitation here for you~. You're a lucky guy." Alvin took the closed invitation before she walked off. An invitation to what? Opening the letter, he read it through. A private tour of the castle!? But, how...!? Why...!? Was this something his dad set up? He did have two days, and that was more than enough time for him to do this. But, Alvin couldn't really see it. His dad...didn't pay much attention to Alvin's love for history. He supported it, but that was it. Well, regardless, he couldn't pass up this chance!

After letting Mr. Aarons know he was going to check out the castle, Alvin set off. Thankfully, he managed to ditch Warren. It wouldn't be worth it with a bodyguard trailing behind him. Reaching the castle, Alvin leaned forward a bit to catch his breath. That was quite the walk. He'd never walked so much at once! Maybe he should change his free hour to gym. He was starting to realize how unfit he was.

Alvin took a short break before finishing the trek to the gates. It took longer than he would have liked. He spotted someone by the gate and squinted his eyes and shielded them. He looked...sort of familiar. He wasn't sure why, though. I'm awful with faces....Where have I seen this guy before? Maybe the news? Not that he watched the news often. But, he did from time to time. "Uh....H-Hi. I was invited for a private tour?" Alvin had expected the woman from before. Not someone who looked like he could crush his head like a pimple. Maybe he was part of security or something?

Home!? But....He thought no one lived here. It was supposed to be an empty castle. A museum, if anything. "What do you mean home? I don't....I read it hadn't been occupied since....Well, since forever ago." Maybe his history teacher wasn't the best after all. "Ah....It wasn't that bad. Do you...live here alone?"

That made sense. Alvin looked at the picture for a moment before blinking. Wait. Wasn't that...? "I guess a glass of water would be nice....Can I...see that picture again?" He didn't get the best look. Maybe he'd imagined it? Or, this wasn't a coincidence at all. If it was that guy from the other day.

Taking the picture and holding it carefully, Alvin looked at the man's son. It was definitely the boy he ran into and gave his umbrella and change to. "He's not here...? Didn't he call?" He had wanted to get home. That's why Alvin helped him out. The name clicked in his head. Kaiden....That was the name that...person?...gave to him. The name he should mention if a vampire attacked him. Wait. Alvin glanced over at his companion. Maybe he shouldn't have said anything. Was this the vampire? Crap! This was a trap! "I....I should actually be going. Warren will be searching for me, so I--I--" He caught sight of what looked like a head peeking out from under the ground, but only for a split second before it disappeared. "Yes. I really should be going."

Alvin winced when his arm was grabbed. He listened to the other, trying to pull away. "I don't.....I just ran into him on the street. He was lost, so I gave him some change and my umbrella for his...his skin condition, I think he said." Alvin grabbed the hand that was crushing his arm and tried to pry it off. Damn it! He shouldn't have come. What the hell was wrong with him? Curse his damn addiction. "He was supposed to call home for a ride....I swear. I went straight home when he went to the post office. I don't know where he's at. L-Let go of me! My arm is going to break!"

Alvin. Why didn't anyone call him Alvin? Well, no....Someone did. The person who "spoke" to him the other evening. Was that Kaiden? Kai? What did he call him? "I bumped into him outside my house on Mathis Street." "Why don't you say please instead of forcing him to help, Vlady?" Alvin jumped. More telepathy? He looked around before jumping back with a startled shout when he saw the head peeking out from the floor again. Well, this time it was just the eyes and anything above them. And, it was creepy. "He's just a child....Be nicer to him." The man jumped out of the water hole, and Alvin sweatdropped. A merman? "I....I don't...." The merman changed into a human man, but was clearly feminine in some ways. At least he was dressed. And, he pulled off Japanese clothing well. Alvin blinked when his arm was taken again, only gently. "You've bruised him....I'm sorry for Vlady's behavior. He's been very stressed. I'm certain he'll apologize. Isn't that right, Vladimir?" This guy, who Alvin realized was Sal, sounded stern. He wasn't giving Vladimir much of a choice. "...I'm fine." Alvin was more hurt that he'd been tricked. What sort of jerk manipulated someone like that?

Alvcin blinked. "If you think you know where he is, then you don't need my help. In fact, I'll probably just get in the way. Besides, you could just be tricking me again, so why should I believe your offer?" Alvin jumped a bit when Sal moved to stand next to Vladimir, forgetting he was there. "I'm sorry we tricked you, but it was the only way to get you here alone. Please....We just want our son back. Will you help us? I swear, no one will be hurt. Not you, not your father....Vlad will go in and be out with Kai without hurting anyone." His father? What did Dad have to do with this? They didn't honestly believe he kidnapped Kai, did they? His father was weird, but he'd never....Would he? "You still haven't told me what I can do aside from get in the way." Sal blinked and looked...confused. He wasn't a planner, was he? The merman looked up at Vladimir for a little help. "...Dad had a tank built in his office recently. That's all I can tell you. I don't pay much attention to his private business."
