Ikasu laughs wholeheartedly and unabashedly at her comment about making a pass. "No, Lillith-san, I think not. While that is the closest that I'll ever come to making a pass at anybody. I have no interest in biological romance." He grins broadly and plunks down the canister. It was of little concern to him that she is exploring. Amusement is dancing in his eyes. "There are quite a few projects in here, some simply are awaiting some of our supplies to get restocked. That drawer right there has my spare eyes and various assorted materials related to them. I like to cover them in the same artificial flesh as the reigai we make. It reduces the potential for people to question my normality. Besides I find it distracting from conversations if people are constantly staring at my eyes and not paying attention to the conversation." He reaches up to one of his own eyes and pulls it out, revealing the artificial nerve connection. He disconnects it and swaps it out for another one. "I am always tinkering with various software and firmware for it." He blinks a couple of times and it briefly flashes the Japanese character for fire before it looks like an ordinary eye, if a slightly different color than the other eye before shifting to match the color of the other eye. "Much better." He reaches up and readjusts a Vasto Lorde mask that is hanging as a simple decoration on the wall. It was one of a few relics that survived the destruction of his family home when he was very young. It was a valued treasure. A trophy of a hard-won battle where an ancestor of his, probably his great great grandfather, had stopped a rampaging Vasto Lorde from destroying the Soul Society. It was a proud treasure for most of his family. For him, it is simply a handsome decoration and a reminder of why he serves the Soul Society as a shinigami rather than being an independent scientist. "See anything of interest? Or perhaps you want to collaborate on anything?"

Lilith "The Clockwork Librarian" Sonozaki

User Image As she looked over to Ikasu, Lilith couldn't do anything more than sigh in a slight display of disdain. "We hardly know each other and yet, you're already expecting me to offer my insight and knowledge willingly? My, my, you certainly are quite assuming aren't you?", she asked with a lofted brow as she appraised her colleague. She had heard those words before when it came to her genius level skill in cybernetics. This was her claim to her fame and how she planned on becoming valuable enough to becoming the highest ranking officer she could be without the trouble of wearing the haori. Then he pulled out his eyeball, that was the least weird thing she had seen anyone do, granted because her own left eye was already an implant. "Intriguing is the fact that we seem to be exploring the same field, but likely for vastly different reasons. What reason brings you to believe our path's converge?", Lilith remarked in question as she ran a hand slowly over her cheek and down her neck, before stopping at her neck line.

She was used to being used as a stepping stone. With her memories of her time as the Primera Fraccion to Achana, the Sexta Espada, Lillith was nothing more than a steed to her, a seven headed dragon to carry the apocalypse. Now in her purified state and with knowledge of where she had been, she was keen on being the star of this show. It was why Ikasu's comments seemed to offend her slightly. There may have been no malintent behind them, but to Lilith, she obviously saw it as a threat to her own work in creating the ultimate super soldier. The perfect hybrid between modified soul technology and the Soul Reaper's form. It was a claim to fame and a rise to glory that she did not seem intent on sharing with another.

"Eventually, one has to trust somebody else if they want to get farther in this place. My father was once vice captain of this division. There's a lot of pressure to excel, but that's certainly not why I am doing this." Ikasu does not look at her but seems to be focused on one of his schematics. "We are collegues. Eventually we will need to work together. I find it best to try to find people with similar interests, even if the end goals are not tee same. I will not question your motives - that is entirely up to you to reveal or continue to keep as a secret. As long as my prosthetics program can get off of the ground." He flexes his right hand, the same side as the eye he had swapped out. "It is important to me because I have needed prosthetics since being severely injured as a boy. With our line of work, prosthetics will become inevitably necessary or we will run out of shinigami for the Soul Society. Besides, I have a bit more of a selfish reason for it. Normalizing prosthetics so that I do not have to hide my prosthetics. I want people to take me seriously and give me the respect I deserve. I will do it, with or without you, but I would like to do it with you. I like your potential." He has still not made eye contact, but rather looks dead serious, dropping the cheerful, playful cover he tends to keep up around others.

Lilith "The Clockwork Librarian" Sonozaki

User Image Lilith nodded as she took in Ikasu's explanation. It was a relief that his ambitions were not intent on capitalizing on her own innovations. "So you seek to normalize the infirmed. Do you think that the wounded wish to wear their scars openly? Not many would. My first suggestion would be to work on making replacement parts look like the original. Though coming from me, those words seem like a hypocrisy.", the Silver haired Soul Reaper said informatively as she looked over her own modifications. "Quite frankly, not many are going to be willing to look at prostheses as a new lease on life, but a reminder of their failure. So you should also endeavor to make them feel normal too.", she continued to lecture as she let her zanpakuto's inner world flood the room from the emitter on the hilt. She was picking up books as a robotic-like spirit delivered them to her. "It's all located in the medical theories in the Fourth Squad training program.", Lilith continued as she opened the pages and flipped through the books at a rapid rate. Her entire frontal lobe had been replaced and the result was hyper-reading, flawless memory retention, and immunity to mental illness, well... at least the common ones like schizophrenia, Alzheimer's, and various other mental plagues. It did not stop her mania.

"This is where we might differ, because my research takes little into consideration of how my patients will look cosmetically. They were failures. I view the broken as subjects to be reworked, reimagined, and ultimately... reborn. Our goals are different, but similar, true. I seek to create the ultimate weapon. You simply want to fix broken people and normalize their deficiency.", Lilith said as she clapped a fifth book shut. She smiled slightly and shrugged her shoulders as she tossed it on the holographic pile with the rest. Ikasu might note that if he tried to interact with the world around him, his hands would pass right through it. "Your goal is not inferior to mine, so do not take it as a criticism, but more an observation. You seem more humane, where as I see the other side to the coin... taking the scraps and putting them back together, better than their original design.", the cybernetic reaper explained, before she sat on the pile of books she had created and grinned. "With my observations at hand, how could I assist you? Could it be you are looking to weaponize yourself? Maybe replace your brain like I have?", she asked curiously as she tapped her cranium playfully. "Or maybe we remove those pesky internal organs which are prone to failure? Put in something better?"

Lilith was pretty much the harmless embodiment of the mad scientist. While others might see insanity, it was actually an inability to perceive her genius, even if there were moral short falls along the way. "Of course we can leave your 'down stairs' intact, you know, incase you ever do want to use it. No shame, really. But we can always make improvements.", she laughed at the joke, waving it off dismissively. Or was it a joke? You could never really tell with the cyborg, especially now that she had relaxed.

"Heh, I like the option to be available, without judgment. Still, I respect your goal," he begins to smile once more. Flicking his wrist outward, he pulls up a hard light display and begins to skim through a digital menu. "I am thinking that we could continue to use reigai flesh to cover the prosthetics and work together to give these poor unfortunate souls a new lease on life." He ponders the question about whether he desires to weaponize himself or digitize his mind. "Perhaps it would make things easier to a certain extent, but I think I will keep my brain for now - digitizing it will do nothing for the ADHD and I have a feeling that even if it did, it would negate the positive aspects and perhaps detract from my personality. As for weapons and other augments, hell yeah." A soft chuckle. "We can get my doctor cousin in on for consulting purposes. He is third seat of the fourth division and will not ask too many questions of us about how we go about making our projects. That is of course if you need a physician who can get us an 'in.'"

Lilith "The Clockwork Librarian" Sonozaki

User Image Lilith grinned wide and she motioned for Ikasu to follow her. "Enough expository banter about projects. I actually have something useful I want to show you. If you can comprehend a simple kidou of mine, maybe you might be worth working with.", she stated flatly. It was quite obvious by the cybernetic girl's body language and the way she moved that this was a serious matter. As she left Ikasu's office, it actually appeared that she had turned out a door and down a hall of her clock-work inner world. Machines and books clacking around them as she lead the way through her inner world with the outer world of Squad Twelve's barracks providing the basic lay-out of where they moved.

She eventually came out into the court-yard which with the power of the emitter on her zanpakuto sprawled out into an ornate space where they could practice, though the physical aspects remained the same. It just felt more comfortable to Lilith to be within her own world. While she waited for Ikasu to join her, a mechanical arm reached out and dropped a book in her waiting grasp. It was a black kidou tome of Hadou and destructive spells, she then tossed it to the side where it hovered in mid-air before turning to the training implement. It was time to practice a spell of her own she had been training to wield.

As Lilith prepared herself to begin the attempted casting of a high level spell, usually reserved for Captains, her library provided her access to restricted knowledge that was afforded to few. It was with the beginning of the casting that the silver-haired cyborg took her stance, and her spirit pressure began to increase furiously, causing the area around her to shake and grow heavy as she began to form her spiritual power into a devastating binding, or at least the first part of one. Then the words of power began to issue from her lips and her eyes lit up with an ominous azure intensity. It was obvious that this ritual casting of one of the strongest Bakudou, or spells of binding, was something special and probably only to be witnessed by few, and performed successfully by even far less.

"Prolouge; Halting Wraps!"

With the first words of power issued in the incantation from Lilith's mouth, sheets of white suddenly wrapped around the training dummy before cork-screw bolts suddenly materialized and slammed down into the wooden 'flesh' of the target. One could only imagine and wonder just how painful such a restraint might actually be. It was the start of the first part of a two part arcane casting that was said to be the ultimate last resort when trying to bind a target by sealing them away under the weight of one-thousand bolted cloths and crushed into dust under a giant metallic cube. Though it was obvious by the strain it was putting on Lilith's frame that such a spell was taxing, even at just the first part.

"Refrain; Serial Hundred Bolts! Bakudou #99 Kin!"

With the final words of the incantation and the spell identified, two black straps slammed down on the dummy and forced it to break and lay prostrate on the ground as with a single sign of her hands, akin to one that a person might expect from a ninja practicing the Koga ninjutsu. The obvious focus that Lilith was putting into the spell caused her hair to flow and wave under the ebbing pressure of her spirit energy that was surging from the effort of the powerful demon art. It was truly miraculous to see anyone not of the rank of Captain seeming to have success with such an intense spell. Though the strain was becoming obvious as she was shaking slightly at her elbows and knees from the weight of her own spirit pressure. But the spell was far from complete as the last portion came into play. From above the training dummy, a multitude of white tombstone shaped blocks formed before the one-hundred stone spiritual staples pinned the black leather cross shape to the ground, fully restraining the dummy that was screwed, literally, and wrapped in a tough fabric.

It was the success that few could have ever dreamed of, but Lilith had made a reality in the middle of that training area. Her brow was perspiring, one of the few organic places that produced sweat still, but it was an outward sign of just how taxing the effort to produce the spell at been on even the superior technology that made up her cybernetic body. Though, it did prove one thing. She was not to be underestimated in the field of the demon arts. Kidou was her strong point and with a Captain level performance, it left little but wonder of what other titanic feats she might be capable of in the future. "Heh...At least it was a warm up.", she scoffed, as the cyborg tried to play off her fatigue in case anyone happened to bare witness to the extraordinary casting. There was also a fact that Twelve also now boasted one of the more powerful Kidou casters, and this would likely make her a candidate for recruitment and attempted poaching by more kidou proficient squads. She only hoped that she wouldn't have to break any hearts most brutally in that regard. Few offered the moral ambiguity and creative leeway that the Research and Development unit did. It was this fact of life that kept her loyal to her position.

Ikasu nods and follows behind Lillith, with the door auto-locking behind him. As they walk out into the training area, the holographic overlay she is projecting presents them with an interesting setting overlaying reality in a ghostly light. 'IF I comprehend?' he scoffs internally. Ikasu simply raises an eyebrow and smirks. He immediately follows her move for move, word for word. Kidou is a specialty of his and a favorite activity. While he may have ADHD, one of the rarely known symptoms is hyper fixation. Lillith has indeed gotten his complete attention and he proceeds to do his favorite hobby outside of laboratory things. "South wind, strike to the left. A midnight bell tolls for the virgin. Forced is the hand." he cries out. His gaping mouth revealing the robotic half of his body down the middle of the roof of his mouth and parts of his jaw. The tongue could be natural or synthetic, but it is a perfect simulation if it is real. His right pupil glows red as his mana rises in his body, above the natural suppression he has in place. The target is wrapped, impaled, and bound tightly. "Your special skill is quite interesting, Lillith-san. I like it."

He stretches and ponders about whether or not to share his family's secret form of Kidou. No. Not right now. They need to get to know one another a bit better and he needs to plead with the head of his family. It would do no good to do that and wind up having him pull his donations to the division as punishment for doing so.

He smiles at her as the red glow in his prosthetic eye fades back to a black pupil. "Thank you, Lillith-san. I hope to return the favor soon. Perhaps in the near future. But, I need to finish my project and see if I can get some things done. As for my worthiness, heh, that is entirely up to you, my dear. I have already decided that you are worth my time. We are both moving up in this world with similar goals, even if the reasons are different. It does not matter to me why you want what you want. It is your goal and at this point I support it. As long as we can get proper funding. However, that is above my paygrade ... for now." A wink and a grin. He has been having a good bit of fun here.

Lilith "The Clockwork Librarian" Sonozaki

User Image Lilith looked to Ikasu carefully as he performed her special kidou. It was a unique skill, and normally difficult to master, but he got the special energy signature needed to make it explode on contact rather efficiently. This caused her to clap slowly in mild enthusiasm before she looked back to her colleague. "You keep talking about a project, and now you have me interested. Just what could it be that you would be working on so much that has you -this- excited, Ikasu-san?", she asked as it was evident that the clockwork librarian had been enticed by the prospect of learning more and new things about her fellow researcher.

It was not an entirely selfless act on her part to know or understand Ikasu better. In truth, it was making sure that whatever she was working on did not infringe too much on his own designs so that she could work on other projects and more effectively cut her own super soldier work in half. If she could swap technology with Ikasu from time to time... it might make upgrading her parts easier and push forth her effort into breaching into the realm of a new paradigm of existence. The perfect creation, it doesn't break down, it keeps fighting, it doesn't lose it's memory, or fall prone to poison and disease. 'It doesn't eat, it doesn't sleep. It does not breathe or cry. All it does from dusk till dawn is kill and purify.', that was her slogan pitch she had in mind for when she tried to sell her research to the Central Forty-Six.

Ikasu grins broadly and readjusts his haori. "Let us repair to my lab then. I do not need uninvolved persons to be aware of my activities so that they can steal my research." As he walks back to his laboratory he does a quick series of messages and a light surveillance to answer a personal question. Just as quickly he disperses the hard light display and plants his palm on the biometric reader. Once inside he shuts the door. "I would like your gametes. I would prefer your cooperation to be willing and would actually enjoy your assistance. I am going to create a being, but I require fresh genes to suit it. After all, as you know the genes from one will risk problems, but the genes of two or more will allow for modifications to suit our needs." He punches in a code to a storage drawer and reveals the metal skeleton that seems to be about the size of an eleven year old child. "You are this far in. Do you wish to join me or ...?"

Lilith "The Clockwork Librarian" Sonozaki

User Image Lilith stared at Ikasu for a moment before she plucked one of her hairs from her head and offered it to him with a stern expression on her face. "It calls me 'mother' and I will kill it.", she stated firmly as the cybernetic scientist made it very much a clear statement that she had no intention of further aligning herself with the project or maintaining it. This was Ikasu's research, and she was simply assisting in the way that was requested. If anything, it might be the perfect genetic inheritor of some of her own cybernetic modifications, but that would be a choice made of free will. It was a person's right to choose to upgrade and enhance themselves, and it was never forced.

She then thought of her own advances and shrugged her shoulders slightly as this all seemed like an interesting road to walk down in her own sciences. What would a creation made with her own twisted, yet purified, genetic material look like? She was, after all, at one point in her past a fearsome Primera Fraccion of the Sexta Espada. Lilith was a seven-headed dragon Hollow who brought the scarlet whore across the cosmos so she could rain destruction and misery on men. A lot had changed since then, but as it was said in a piece of literature...sometimes the past could come back to haunt you. She just hoped that poison in her genes remained nothing but a past memory. A terrible nightmare from which she had awakened.

When she responds by plucking hairs off of her head he grins at her and takes it with a pair of tweezers. "Party pooper," he smirks at her with amusement. "You know there's a difference between a gamete and a follicle, but I can make this work." He drops them inside of a vial and fills it to the line with a clear-ish chemical and caps it. Then he does the same with a hair sample of his own. Placing them into the mixer and starts the vibrating lab equipment. "Feel free to explore the framework, make changes if you think there are errors. A project like this I would prefer to have somebody checking behind me. I may be a genius, but I am not conceited enough to assume that there's nothing that could use improvement. You alone match me in robotics and prosthetics. You, I can trust to do a decent job. The rest of the lot below us barely qualify to work here as far as I am concerned." Once the mixture is sufficient he holds up the vial and inspects it. Completely dissolved. A wicked grin spreads across his face and he takes a second one and pours the contents out into a beaker with a strange smelling pink gel in the bottom. The gel dissolves and begins to fluctuate as it absorbs the liquids. "Good," he makes quick notes as he observes the reactions and then begins installing an artificial matrix on the body. "I am building on some older scrapped projects. And honestly, I do not care if I have permission here. Certain things must be done and then ask for forgiveness later." Examining one part versus another he rips out one of the pieces he had installed and installed a completely different one. "That one is trash. I do not care for the way it works with the frame. This must look completely like one of us. I refuse to accept that trashy uncanny valley s**t." He chuckles to himself as he walks back over to the beaker and begins to mix in other materials. Some of which he had only just pulled out of the cryogenic freezer. "People like you and I are going places, Lillith-san. The way I see it we can help each other out and rise above the rabble. We are not too different, you and I. Motivations notwithstanding. I will not ask your motives and I ask that you do not ask me mine at this point, however. Something tells me plausible deniability would be wise." He chuckles to himself once more. This kind of work provides him great amusement. "Some would call this playing god. I think there is no higher calling than advancing our scientific knowledge and repertoire. I hesitate to use the phrase, but it is almost a religious experience for me. Ha!" He rubs his organic arm and shakes his head. "Eh, forget that. I need to keep this project up. If you think it is ready, I want to pour this into the reigai mold."
PostPosted: Sat Jul 18, 2020 10:55 am

Looking up from his work he notices that Lillith is no longer there with him. "Must've been called away." He double checks behind her work and nods satisfied. "Good girl. Nice work." He examines it a third time and makes a hand full of changes. "Heh, nice try, Lil ... I like upgrades but I'm not letting you install overrides to my work," he mutters. His brow is knitted furiously as he works like a fiend finishing the underpinnings to his magnum opus. The perfect soldier. The perfect shinigami and shinki hybrid, though the shinki part is not going in the file Not everything is going to need to be put on that report. That is his goal. After a while of being bent over the frame working on it, he stands up and stretches. A mighty ache setting in on his left side. His right side is his cyborg half and still in fine working order. Granted there was always pain there. This is something he hopes to figure out how to solve with this experiment. If he can make a cyborg shinigami that does not suffer the way he does, then he can take that information and do his own personal upgrades. It was not always like this. There are improvements to be made. He logs his notes on his progress and heads out of his lab, locking it behind him. Now only the captain and vice-captain have access to his office laboratory. So far it has been difficult to find a lab partner that he can trust in the long term. As he walks by, he overhears somebody comment about Lilith has been arrested for something and is undergoing investigations by Internal Affairs. 'The ******** did she do? Better not bring that s**t on my head. I have enough issues.' He snaps, "Get back to work! There is no time for gossiping here. We have duties to perform and experiments to do. Next person gossiping about a superior will be my next project. Is that clear?" He glares at the two until they wither and get back to work. "Good, now I am stepping out. When I get back this hall better be clean enough to do experiments in." When he is feeling like this, he is of no mood to tolerate this sort of thing. Besides, he has a grudging respect for Lillith, even if she was lower rank and put him through a lot of crap just to get her assistance. The only reason he had bothered with that is because of her particular skill set. For now, it is time for a trip to the bathhouse to release those aching muscles.

On the walk back to her Division, Sawako was already starting to feel better. She retreated to her office where she could recoup for a spell. Though she only meant to lie down for a little bit, she wound up falling asleep on her comfy chaise lounge by the window. It was no more than a couple hours before she awoke with a yawn. “I guess I really was tired…” she mused, sitting up and staring at the floor. Forcing herself to her feet, she got a cup of water poured from the pitcher on her table to quench her thirst. Heading out of her office with a stretch, she would notice the hustle and bustle going on. Apparently the hall was being cleaned and thoroughly for some reason. “And what failed experiment is being cleaned up now?” she teased the two members. But apparently, it was an order from Ikasu himself, which reminded her: what had that guy been up to? Last she saw him he was training at the academy… “Guess I’ll pop in on him and see for myself~” she beamed, making her way to his office. At his door, she knocked thrice before letting herself in, poking her head in.

Alas, he was nowhere to be seen. “Hmm, maybe his lab then?” The woman strolled on, making her way to his private lab to look for him. After she touched base with the 3rd seat, she contemplated on what she should work on. Was there anything else to gain from the cyborg Ryoka’s corpse? Until her curiosity was satisfied, she would not cease to pursue this. Reaching the lab now, her credentials would allow her easy access inside. “Ikasuuuuu-kun~ What are you doing?” she playfully cooed. Though as she stepped inside, the door closing behind her, it seemed he wasn’t here either… What was here on the other hand, was a very interesting experiment taking place. There was some sort of frame in the shape of a human, a small one at that. What was 3rd Seat up to? Sawako hummed to herself, rather amused and curious as she decided to probe a little more. She found some notes scattered on the table, getting a vague notion of what he was working on. Interesting, but what was he trying to accomplish with these chemicals?

“Trying to replicate human skin? I see. This might work, but why settle for something so...normal?” No, no, no! It was her responsibility as his superior to...nudge him in the right direction. Ikasu was a brilliant roboticist and chemist, but when it came to biology and genetics, she would not be beat! Making a few adjustments to his concoction, she would alter the genetic makeup a bit by adding her own. The flesh would not only be more natural, it would look better than normal skin! But why stop there? It would be better in the long run to speed this up a bit, so she decided to give it a little “kick”. Pulling a violet vial out of the bag on her hip, she would shake the murky thick substance, watching it glow bright red before returning to normal. Adding it to the little blob, Sawako smiled as she looked down at it. “Aww~ Why aren’t you just a little cutie? You grow up big and strong now!” the woman chuckled to herself. Well...with that done and since Ikasu had yet to show up, it was time for more snooping! What she found appeared to be blueprints on the man himself- his cybernetics. This seemed to be worth memorizing for future use so she took the time to study it for a moment. “Hmm...I wonder who helped him with this operation” she mused.

After wasting an appropriate amount of time in her subordinate’s lab, she thought it best to move on. She had other projects of her own to work on as well as- “Ah, that’s right! I almost forgot about the paperwork.” Sawako shuffled back to her office to collect the stack of documents, some that were probably long overdue. She could probably have a squad member play errand runner and deliver them for her, buuuuuuut it would be quicker if she handled it herself. Returning to the hall with a pep in her step, she cradled the stack of papers in her arm and made her way for the 10th Division. But she would suddenly stop in her tracks when she heard the sound of a giggling child. The raven haired scientist looked back down the hall from where she thought she heard it. Save for the usual chitter and noises of the members hard at work, there was nothing. “...I must still be tired. Although….no, I should get going already. I have lots to tinker with as is!” Putting that odd feeling behind her, it was a straight shot to the 10th Division.

Kirukoto saunters back into the Twelfth Division Head Quarters and flashes grins and winks at other division members. He has been fifth seat for longer than most can remember and he really has no interest in seeking advancement or anything like that. It could get too troublesome! As he sashays down the hall he hears sounds going on in his nephew's office. While it has been encoded to recognize only the first three seats, who do you think wrote the program? He sticks his maintenance card into the reader and enters the bypass code. The door slides open to reveal a giggling mass of gelatin. "Oooh~! You're basically ready. Hang on, sweetheart and Uncle Hax will get you into your mold." He takes the large blob off of the counter, sweeping the bits of glass off of the organic slime. "Now now, dear, just stay still." He sets it on top of a tray and pats it. "Alright, we look like we are ready to be a person, now aren't we? Yes, here we go. Up!" he says picking her up again using the tray and pours the slime creature into the body mold and shuts the chamber. Checking the settings he nods to himself. "Yes, perfectly as planned. The modifications noted here seem to suit it well." While the flesh colored slime fills in the gaps, he opens the brain housing and smiles at the artificial brain. It was a thing of beauty. What a pity Lilith has been arrested. Shrugging it off, he modifies the circuits and swaps out a few computer components. "No, dear, nobody should have the right to control your free will. You will learn how to be a good girl the way the rest of us do," he coos softly. Regardless of Ikasu's intentions, Kirukoto is ensuring that this will be no mere doll. Seeing a way to combine a few features that were not in play, he continues his work until the slime's growth has reached the skull. He seals it shut and watches as it matures into a child. When the process is finished he opens the incubator and drapes his lab coat over her. "Wake up, Tsubaki," he says sweetly to her. "Uncle wants to show you many wonders." He helps her sit up and dresses her in the lab coat. Too big. He tugs on the collar and it shrinks down to an outfit just her size. "There, now you will not be chilly." He helps her out of the bay and escorts her down the hallway.

Tsubaki is barely conscious as he does all of this, her systems activating. "U-uncle?" Her question is met with a gentle head pat. "Uncle, where are we going?" she asks. He does not answer her but rather takes her down to his basement lab and turns on the lights to the CSI laboratory. It has been a while since they have actually needed this place. "What is this place?"

Kirukoto simply smiles at her. "This is a Forensics lab. We are going to help somebody who got hurt, Tsubaki," he says gently. "There's a bad man who needs to be punished and a lady who needs help getting justice. Let's get everything ready for when the evidence arrives."

Tsubaki dutifully obeys her uncle and sets about following his instructions. She smiles slightly because this seems to be fun. At least as far as she can tell it is. She wouldn't know either way.

The scientist would return to her stomping grounds, eager to get to work. While not a murder mystery, it was still a mystery that piqued her interest. 'Who attacked the young woman?' was the question of the hour but not as important to Sawako. Rather, she was more curious as to what means were used and how. She recovered the victim's stomach contents, a clear sign her body was trying to get something out of the system or she was sick from something. Finding some mud on her clothing, Sawako was hoping to find where she'd been, hopefully. Retracing her steps would allow her to find more clues or at least for the 3rd Division to go look into. As she approached the forensics lab, a place that could probably use a dusting, she stopped just in front of the door and hummed to herself. The lights were on and it sounded like voices were on the other side.
Someone was already inside? The dark haired woman opened the door and saw two individuals within. One of them was familiar, but who was the little one? Ignoring Kirukoto for a moment, she went right up to the child, crouching and smiling brightly at her. "Why hello there? What's your name cutie?" Who was this little girl and why was she so absolutely adorable?! Looking up at Kirukoto, she would have to say she was surprised.
