Eziya Post 9"Okay, okay. I promise to stop worrying so much," Eziya grinned, struggling to hammer a post into the ground before Gift attempted to pull it out of her grasp. She would just be very happy when all the fighting was over and they could get back to what they were doing before. She was sure Serr would appreciate it too. Turning to glance at the man, she tilted her head at him as she saw his gaze focus on someone. Perhaps someone he knew? "You know, if you want to go talk to someone you know you can. You don't have to stick around with boring old me while I fix up this stubborn tent," she stated, sticking her tongue out at him. "I'll be okay while you go off scouting. You can even take Gift with you if you'd like!" She smiled once she had finished off another post, standing up and brushing at her skirt in a sad attempt to get some of the dirt off of it. While she was sure others were out scouting and training, she was happy to be assisting in her own little way. Sure she'd love to go explore, but right now she was doing her duty as a healer. Surprised by the sudden approach of the wind man, she tilted her head at him. "One should still be careful even when ambushing. Just in case. There's no need to be so careless, especially when things are going to be dangerous," she said to the curious new man. Kani Post 9"I'll just need to find a quiet place to pray to the gods and elements. To keep us safe," she explained, glancing around to find a shield Gael could use. Perhaps where people were training? They could have a spare shield lying around for him. "Do you plan on protecting me with your mighty shield, hm?" she smiled, nudging him playfully. She could see Gael being a grand defender. He was always so sweet to her and it just suited him to want to protect others as well as help her. She worried about him getting into any fights, but if he learned a bit in the process it wasn't all bad. Dezani Post 9"Maybe we can go to the supply tents or over to the healers and see if they need anything? I'd be willing to go out and hunt for some supplies before the Alkidike come and take it all. Who knows, maybe we'll even find one we can talk to," he suggested, trying to get Raiha to come back over to him. The kinfa was determined to stick to Araie even with his trying to move her though. Wandering closer to the tents, he turned to look back at her. "Is there anyone you know you want to try and search for?"Zumei Post 8"Maybe. I just don't know which to choose though! I know for sure I could never be a magic user of any sort. I've got the magical talent of a potato. I do like close combat though. It's nice and in your face!" Zumei exclaimed, pleased she was getting the hang of a few weapons at least. Her favorite weapons so far were the hammer and the sword, but she just couldn't decide between them. Maybe she was too small to wield the hammer though. All the hammer wielding types seemed to be big burly folk, not scrawny wind girls. "Thank you for helping me train and doing all this for me, Eije. I'm sure it must be really boring or annoying for you, huh?" She adored having Eije around to help her, but there was the constant nagging in the back of her mind that said that she was just being a nuisance to the girl. Xariy Post 8"Oh! I do believe I spot our little friend," Xariy grinned, walking over to Vukasin and ruffling his hair. "So you decided to come after all, huh? I hope you're ready to get some training in. We can't have you just wandering around not knowing what to do." While Xariy was concerned about the young boy, she also knew that he would have to learn eventually, especially with the war coming. So what better time to teach him than the present when her and Phaedra were both willing and able? "If you're allowed to that is. Wouldn't want your family getting upset for us teaching you bad things," she winked.

Sanele Post 6

Sanele enjoyed her first time out of Oba;, even if it was with a force filed with soldiers and going to war. For her this was an expedition, learn to travel while being with others so she didn't.. die or anything. She was not risking her newest and most expensive Xaraan, Nala the gift from Nera. Instead she rode Simba, hoping he wouldn't get hurt at but trusting the mature Xaraan to keep her safe and be able to fight.
The trip had been tiring.. more so since she had no idea why people kept butting heads with each other.. they were all going the same way so why couldn't the stuck up soldiers unwind a bit and relax? Not like the Matorians are going to attack us! I'd be more worried about the reverse happening! She was ready to fight.. it would at least keep the Matorians and Obans from sniping at each other so much.

a pet dino Oh, she's here, she's... Very here. 8| -Tries to reign her back a bit- Tahigwa post 6
Tahigwa had taken her time preparing herself for this, even with the limited time she had. She'd done her hair, painted her skin, and sharpened her blades to the point that even she was afraid of running her finger along the shiny metal. All that was left was waiting for Aselia and her little army of Extremists. The Warrior wandered through the crowd, exchanging glances with people she didn't know, and plopped herself next to Ilyra.
"I can't wait to tackle that witch to the ground." She mumbled, leaning against Ilyra. "I haven't even eaten yet, or slept, or bothered sitting down until now. I'm just... So ready to get this over with so I can go home and have normalcy again."

alek post sevenEven though he'd had plenty of time to think about the situation he was willingly walking into while they'd traveled, Alek found he was no more ready to reenter this conflict than he had been willing to see Kayin take on an Alkidike Mystic by herself. He had chosen this, however, so he would make the best of it. Make the best of it.He snorted, seemingly at nothing, then turned an apologetic wince on Kayin and Zuri. "I wasn't laughing at you, just at my own stupidity. But yes, I'm as ready as I can be, though I would greatly prefer to be back home right now."

Saraf Post 7This was the very last place that he wanted to be, amongst a bunch to Northern savages set to 'help' them with their Alkidike problems. As if they couldn't handle it themselves, how weak and pathetic were they? Walking along, his eyes scanned back and forth, his disgust well up. What were they doing here? Why were they here? To help these people with their petty problems? It seemed like a complete waste of time and man power but what could he do? There were too many bleeding hearts amongst his people, not to mention foreginers adding their voices to the mix even though they shouldn't have held any sway in Oba. Besian was steering their people in a terrible direction, him having their king's ear wasn't a good thing. They really needed better people around their king, not swaying them toward the foolish things that the traitor wanted them to be a part of. After a bit more inspection of the area he headed toward where his people were gathered. He saw Nuri and Kalli together, those he actually wanted to talk to, those he wanted to stay near since there was a part of him that didn't trust those around him. Who was to say that there wasn't those who would think to try to finish them off after the Alkidike had been dealt with? Best that he kept his guard up around this group. "I'm right here Kalliope, Nuri, I was just getting a feel for the area." As well as those around them. Better that they learned everything that they could before hand. He didn't want to be left unprepared.

Nuri Post 9
As Nuri continued to look around the camp for his friend, he began to notice a raising population of Alkidikes joining the area. A chill ran up his spine as he watched them come through the army to reach the camp, their heads held high as if they were doing some honor of being there. The soldier in him began to question what was going on, and why they were just walking freely. Immediately, he turned to a scout rushing through the camp and demanded to know what was happening, and was told that they had come to 'help', warning of a large army of Alkidikes following in their tracks.
Warning bells began to ring in his ears.
He began to grind his teeth a bit as he tried to work out the numbers, his eyes scanning both the camp and the distance. It didn't seem like many appeared, a handful really, and compared to the current population who had join them (the romantic ones who claimed to have turned against their goddess) it wasn't much of anything.
However, one single Alk could unravel an entire camp.
Before he could really act on his thoughts and anxieties, Nuri was interrupted by a familiar voice. Karothdra had joined his side, and he recalled their previous bonding over being in the same trial date. He nodded to the dark girl, keeping his mouth set thin, before deciding to speak with her.
"Karothdra, it is good to see a familiar face. It seems as if more and more Alkidikes are joining the area..." he trailed off, trying to think how to word this before another feminine voice broke his thoughts. Turning away from the guard, he looked to see a petite girl, one that had garb similar to Aseara. Nuri couldn't believe a dancer would be wandering around the camp this close to the front lines - especially one claiming to be hunting down Saraf of all people.
"Saraf is in a different branch than I am, although we were planning on meeting up soon before the fighting started. You said you were traveling with him?" Nuri couldn't believe it, and he eyed her once again with a bit skepticism. He tried to keep going, but yet again he heard a bit of scuffle and looked to see another Alkidike had come in claiming they were warning them of the army.
More and more enemies were coming to the door, and Nuri was feeling suspicious at their true intentions.
When Saraf finally walked up, he felt his nerves fading and his composure back. He had two allies on his side, and he felt safe enough to voice his concerns.
"No worries friend. I see you have been traveling with...Kalliope, but allow me to introduce you to Karothdra." He was quick and abrupt about it, and decided to just let it out, "Something is going on. There are many Alkidikes coming in from the west, claiming to be allies. They say there is an army, but I find it hard to believe they would want to help us. Those Amazons want nothing to do with us, and for them to come here...I fear we may have issues soon enough. They can't be trusted to walk around our camp, especially with those birds of theirs to whisper back our strategies."
Hopefully both soldiers would agree that something strange was happening, and with how Saraf always spoke of trusting no one, he might have a good idea of where to go from here, "Did you see any more Alkidikes while you were looking around the area, Saraf?"

Rishima Post 7Rishima was sitting off to one side on the ground in a cross legged position, his spear laying across his lap, eyes closed. He was feeling tense, his antennae were twitching rapidly, even as he tried to calm himself. He didn't much care for this waiting thing, nor was he really looking forward to the confrontation with his sisters. He didn't want them thinking that he was solely on the side of the Earthlings or anything. He didn't want to appear as though he were a traitor, not when he loved his sisters and wanted to keep them and Aisha safe. It was how he'd always felt, but things had gotten so complicated so fast. Tilting his head back he drew in a deep breath, held it, and then it out slowly as he did his best to calm himself. It really was difficult, he felt as though he was sitting on pins and needles, and he was so jittery that he doubted he would be sleeping for ages to come. The sooner he got this over with the better he thought to himself, hoping that he and those who wanted to follow along after him were all going to alright. He knew there were those who wanted to aid him in the negotiations, those like Gerraden and Biroki, and that only seemed to put him that much more on edge. As the oldest and the one of the highest rank amongst those in the group that was gathering around him it was up to him to keep everyone safe. Here was to hoping he'd be able to do just that. His mismatched eyes slid open slowly and he looked around the area. Meditation seemed to be a failure, so maybe he should consider a walk? He was willing to try anything if it meant helping him prepare for upcoming negotiations.

Phaedra Post 8When Xariy said she found him she grinned and followed. Once Vuka was within reaching distance he was practically no longer safe from the women. Phaedra chuckled a little. "Good to see you here." At least she knew where he was and wouldn't be worried about him getting hurt somewhere else. "I brought a spare trident if you wanna try it out." It would give him a bit more range between himself an any Alkidike that tried to attack him. Out of the corner of her eyes she noticed someone familiar. It was the same Alkidike that she had had as a guest in her home for a while. The mother of the hybrid that had died due to her rash words. Phae wondered idly why she was here but when she saw her talking to a man she learned the reason. Turning away from the small scene she gave her attention back to Vuka and Xariy. --------------------------------------------- Gael Post 9When Kani said she needed somewhere she could pray he looked around and noticed a small tent. It looked like it would serve as an infirmary but for now it wasn't crowded and would give her a moment of moderate quiet. "Over there?" Gael pointed. When she mentioned him protecting her and she nudged him he gave a grin. Putting an arm around her waist he nodded. "I would protect you with my dying breath." And he meant that, much to his own surprise. What was this beautiful girl doing to him? "You know, this isn't what I had in mind for a third date. Much less romantic than I'd like, but I'll cherish every second I spend with you." ------------------------------------------------------ Kalliope Post 9Different branch? There were branches to the army? Kalliope needed to learn more about it if she planned on staying near Saraf any more. Otherwise she'd get lost or make a mistake and insult someone. Finally though, she nodded her head at Nuri. "I was. I had to stop because of a rock in my sho--" It was then that she heard Saraf and she turned to look at him. Kalli's face lit up into a smile. "Oh thank goodness." The tiny dancer moved closer to him and listened in on the conversation, even giving a bit of a wave to Karothdra when Nuri kind of introduced her. As the young soldier spoke aloud about the Alkidike she shifted even closer to Saraf and eventually ended up half clinging to his arm. Though she didn't restrain it. If he wanted to move his arm he could. Her eyes instantly started to look around before she noticed a medical tent a bit ways away. "Uhm, Saraf, that tent over there. That's where I'll be once the fighting starts. I know I'm almost useless in a fight, you said so yourself since I'm small. So I'll help with wounded and guard the tent if the fighting gets too close. Alright?" She was smiling up at him. Kalli considered him a friend and she didn't want her friend to fret about where she was when things got messy. Then she moved so that she could hug the Oban and stand on her tip toes to kiss his cheek. After that Kalliope let go and turned toward the tent, she'd have to walk through the crowd to get there. Might as well start now.

Eije Post 8
Eije had to laugh at the enthusiasm; she could almost see something of herself in Zumei. “I definitely agree… well, not with the potato part, but the close combat part. Though I’m a bit prejudice with my choice of weapons,” it was never a question in her mind what her path would lead to after hearing all of her father’s stories and his leaving his swords to her. She felt like she owed him the world from the upbringing she received from him and she showed it in her training. The iceling just hoped that she wouldn't be rubbing her weapon choice too much on the other female.
“No need to thank, and you haven’t been boring in the least. This has actually been a lot of help to me as well!” It was actually quite fun, plus, she was getting sued to the different styles of fighting in close quarters. Though Namidu was feeling a bit neglected when Eije removed his travel pack, it was something she had truly enjoyed.

Jerarda Post 6When the festival boiled down into a nightmare of shouting and violence it was clear to Jerarda that she needed to take her daughter and head back to the rest of her family. Still thinking on how to explain to Animah that she was going to stand against the extremists to try and protect their family , was it selfish of her to ask Animah to say behind ad keep the children safe? The trip back to Jahaur was not only a long one but an exhausting on. Shima just couldn't keep up the pace and was often being piggy backed by her mother for long periods of time causing both adult and child to end up worn and ragged. When she arrived she searched for her mate in earnest, hoping to get Shima to saftey before carrying on. "Animah!?" She called out urgently. Shima Post 6Shima was sleeping against her mothers back, the trip had left her cranky and hungry. Groaning as her other mothers name was called she rubbed the sleepy dirt from her eyes and blurrily looked around trying to figure out where they were. Hungry and pressed her face into Jerarda's back and groaned. "I'm huuunnngry..." she whined, wanting nothing more than to just be back home with her siblings and Animah.

Elsheba: Post 6 It was UNNERVING, to be so far away from home for the first time in her life - and yet all Elsheba could think of was Nimueh and Samoset. They hadn't crossed through Yera, but they had passed into Tale - her future mate's homeland - without seeing a trace of people. At times, Elsheba had considered abandoning the small group that Maya led to Sauti in favor of running to Yera to find them, but in the end ... in the end she felt that if she missed the battle, after abandoning Andile, her sisters, and setting herself on the opposite side of the battle from her sister, Lumikani, then she would be doing them all a disservice.
Nonetheless, anxiety ate at her, and as they neared the Sauti outpost she became more nervous. She may find them here, but they also could still be in Yera... with her future-father-in-law, Yaholo, hoping that their half blood would keep them safe. Closing her eyes at the thought, Elsheba finally looked up as Maya slowed, her own heartrate sky rocketing.
"I'd rather keep going, if it's all the same, sister." Elsheba said in a lowered voice, her bow held at ease in the crook of her elbow. Her shoulders, however, were tense, and Elsheba tossed her gaze to the young mystic as if seeking approval. Young or not, Elsheba clung to the knowledge that she had come by her side, as if that small fact would save her in Aisha's grace. Goddess, this was all insane... and the fear that even after all this, Samoset and Nimueh may be behind her, in Tale, terrified her.
And yet they were all expected to sit and eat and waste time?? Drawing a hand over her face, Elsheba turned and made her way through the small group to where Tahigwa, Samoset's aunt, was settled. "Do you think ... do you think Samoset and the others, in Yera, made it out?" She asked, her voice quivering despite herself.Nimueh: Post 4 They were traveling again so soon? And all without a real answer as to WHAT was going on! Pouting fiercely, Nimueh peeked up at the crowd, cowed by the unfamiliar faces, but too curious to remain huddled at his father's feet for long. Instead, he spotted... blue faces. Wide-eyed, Nimueh took a few steps into the crowd, havaing never SEEN someone his color before. He knew he was a halfling, but had never, before, thought to ask what ELSE he was.
Still only a few paces from Samoset, Nimueh breathed out an awed sound, then whirled around - blinking past the wave of nausea and dizziness that hit him at the motion (as most sudden movements did, for him). "Papa, what IS this place?"Lavender Hues Samoset, but only if you want Anyone is free to interact with Nimueh? owo

Shalvesta: Post 5 Sauti wasn't nearly what Shalvesta had expected. It was... desolate, in some places, but lush in others - although not the Oban sort of lush that popped up around a water source. It almost felt like the trip up here, clinging to the back of a Yaotl, hadn't been worth it - then again, Shalvesta had come both for battle and to remain in this place.
Now that she was here, however, the calm before the storm reminded her of how anxious she should feel. In the previous battle, the chaos with the escaped prisoners, with Naevius and Ichil being taken hostage, had left her in a quiet rage throughout the battle. Now? Now she could FEEL her nerves, her belly taut and flipping, surrounded by non-Obans who, she felt, stared at her judgementally. Under public scrutiny, she floundered - and she had to retreat from the open area, and into one of the tents, taking a deep, heaving breath to suppress the well of anxiety. Gripping the support beam of the flapped tent, she pinched her eyes closed for a long moment, then opened them, once again stepping back out and peering around. If there was one thing she realized, it was that she NEEDED to find something to occupy herself. Anyone, feel free to interact! I'll pick someone to mess with next post? ;3 Cerith: Post 6 WHOSE bright idea was it to ride Yaotl up a CLIFF?! Cerith had clung to Jelanii, eyes screwed shut the entire way, screaming curses in her head - and once upright in Sauti, a land that had, all this time, been so close and yet so disconnected... she finally had a chance to really think. Jelanii couldn't be trusted around Obans. That either meant finding work seperated from Obans, and the battle, or finding a place to hide out the battle, not that they'd been snuck into the north.
But the quiet words from Illian had wound their way into her mind - and even if Jelanii seemed disheartened by his 'crush's' viewpoint, Cerith herself muddled over the words of the Oban - about change. And she hadn't missed his quiet musing, before the rush that had borne them here, about needing someone to defend his brother. Cerith had no reason to fight in this stupid war, but... at the same time, the opportunity to keep Jelanii with her, away from the fighting, and guarding his beau's brother - it seemed like a good risk. It meant the brother might be on the battlefield, but also the chances were high he'd be sequestered off in a medical tent, working on people there.
She wondered if Mynshaka, despite his disdain for being called to war, had opted to come up the wall with them. She gave a cursory look around the assembled Matori and Obans, who had filtered into the Sauti camp, but remained somewhat clumped together after travel - and paused when she spotted Illian. Well - better now than too late, right? She reached her hand to grasp at Jelanii's hood, giving a tug to get his attention, but quickly released him, instead winding through the crowd to that flash of silver.
"About that brother of yours - did he still need a babysitter?" She asked, her tone unconcerned. She wasn't sure if Jelanii would follow, given his hurt puppy feelings about Illian's disagreement, but at least he couldn't complain that she had wandered off without his knowledge. Folding her arms, she tilted her head and watched the man, eyebrows raised.

Takoda post 5The shifter after hearing what the elders had to say traveled with those who had wanted to stop or at least prevent the alkidikes from taking over Sauti. He didn't like where everything was going, there was a lot of hostility in the air and many people were on edge despite the fact there had been no sightings of the extremists thus far. It was encouraging however to see there were pure blood alkidikes here who were apposed to the expansion of their lands as well alienating the other races as potential allies. Still their numbers were few and he sighed looked around whishing he had been able to at least find Korra before they had traveled all this way. It weighed on his mind, the fact they couldn't locate the girl and he only hoped she didn't get caught in the cross fire between the earthlings and the alkidikes. Keilana Post 5Keilana had located the boys and basically dragged them along, if for any other reason to make sure they were okay. It seemed a bit ..countrary of what she intended. Dragging her kids to what could of possibly become the next war. But she knew that sticking together with the family would be the safest thing. Even if her one son did drag his animals along with him he was still better off where she and Chal could look out for him. It had been quite the trip and even as she looked around she gave a bit of a huff looking irritated that they would have to wait longer for things to happen. Chandra post 6 Despite everything they had gone through the embaressment his brother put him through they had gone traveling. Awen had made it back to him and was trying to pull him into a random direction before his mother dragged him else where. The young man was still trying to figure out what was bothering Awen now. She never acted like this before...angry sure, pouting..all the time but it was usually directed at something he had done. In this case...he couldn't pinpoint what was wrong with her. He wanted to ask his brother since, he was good with animals but hated having to rely on him for such things. So instead he remained quiet, they traveled and they arrived to Sauti while the weather was warm and looking around he saw a great gathering of people. Wonderful...

Gerraden Post 5Gerraden moved up from behind Rishima who was sitting on the ground already looking tense and worn out from their travels. The move had been sudden, with the leaders deciding that a blockade was the best course of action, telling those who didn't wish to fight to remain, whilst the rest got ready to intercept them. Leaning over he pressed a kiss against Rishima's forhead, a hand coming up to run along one of the males antenna before he looked around. "Everyone looks tense....you think you be able to convince the extremists to stand down?" He inquired, feeling a bit bad afterwards unsure if it had been the right thing to ask him sinec he didn't want his mate to feel too pressured.

Ai'ian Post 7 Well they had made it finally all in one piece. "Er, can you guys believe this crowd? I hope I'm not the only one more then a little terrified. I come from a tiny town and there are more people here then my whole village." He peered out aprehensively into the seething mass of humanity which ebbed and flowed like cytoplasmic streaming. He shuddered and had to clench his teeth in order to keep standing there instead of turning and heading back to the highlands where he knew he belonged. He...was...needed...here. He didn't have to like it for it to be so. People of all kinds were milling about, hybrids pure bloods even a contingent of matori and obans. He had never seen so many in one place. "Ugh I think I feel a little sick." He proceeded to turn green....well greener.
