Name: Akemi明美
Name meaning: Bright and Beautiful
Gender: DNAB, but tends to be gender fluid with a heavy pronunciation on the feminine. (Though he has little care for pronouns, he/him/his or she/her works just fine. I’ll be using female pronouns throughout this post however. XD)
Specialty: While Akemi tends to only ever want to dance. She has a surprising knack for diplomacy and potion making. She’s a decent babysitter, she loves kids, but there is no guarantee that they will all stay out of trouble.
Personality: Every family has that one ball of sunshine that somehow got dropped in, well that’s Akemi. She is bright, bubbly, bouncy, and welcoming always with a kind word and extremely loving. She adores everyone in the herd, and can be seen cuddling with anyone that will let her. Akemi has fanciful notions of true love, happy endings and is generally an overly positive person. A bit of a free spirit it’s hard to nail her down to do menial tasks, that don’t involve causing someone a bit of trouble. She’s a mischievous sort who means well and just wants to see everyone smile and laugh. A smile truly is the greatest gift you can give her and she’s there to support any and everyone in whatever way she can. That being said, she does have a serious side, though she isn’t very fond of showing it. She feels there are too many ‘serious’ faces as it is in their line of work; but she does know there is a time and place for play and when it’s time to get down to business she is capable of doing so.

Prompt Free for all! (PS what happened to prompt 2? PSS: I APOLOGIZE FOR THE LENGTH! TA T )
Clouds hung heavy in the sky, the threat of a storm dangled in the air. Though the morning had dawned bright and sunny, it had long since been gobbled up by the rolling, quivering ocean of clouds. The breeze was nice though, a gentle reprieve from the blazing heat of the summer’s day so in the end Akemi couldn’t really complain. Well she could, but she wouldn’t, after all she had gotten over her fear of storms many years ago…right? The slight grumble from the sky above had the fox lowering her head, ears falling back.
It was no big deal, besides, they needed these plants. The oils derived from the leaves could mean the difference between life and death for someone later on. So regardless of her fear or not fear, she would have to just dig in and drive on. After all it was for the betterment of the herd and a simple storm would not stand between her and this goal! Akemi shook her head before digging her claws into the ground and starting off once more.
The rustling didn’t jostle her attention at first, mainly because the breeze was making the whole forest rustle so what was a bit more. It was the pained scree that drew her from her thoughts and had her head shooting up. It sounded almost distinctly bird like and the thrashing that followed made it clear that whatever was going on it was between two rather large opponents. Her better judgment told her not to inspect, but what if it was one of their own? She should probably go for back up though right? That was the general rule, but what if the victim didn’t have that much time?
She battled with herself for a moment before the scree sound came again causing her to bolt into action. If it was one of their own and she left now and they died she would never forgive herself. What she wasn’t expecting was to stumble onto a bloody scene of feathers and fur. For a moment her world sort of faded into a cold blur as she watched the mare battle a… bear… walker. The thought passed her mind mere moments before she found the walker had turned to face her, mouth dripping with saliva and blood.
The mare glanced her way for a moment, before lunging into the air and coming down hard on the bear, front talons digging in deep. There was a brutal roaring sound before the bear broke free, fur and flesh ripping off as he did so. Most creatures seemed to have a sort of sanity in their eyes but that was not the case here.
Akemi got down taking a swipe at the bear’s nose as it lunged past her. The other mare had sunk to the ground, clearly tired and fighting to stay alive. The bear didn’t seem to notice his previous prey was a much better candidate for his blood lust and Akemi wasn’t about to try and reason with him. While she didn’t have a strict aversion, she was above throwing someone else to the wolves to save her own skin. Especially when one looked so weak as the other, and was yet still trying to get up and fight. Not that any of this mattered since the bear was focused on her now.
She stepped back swiping at its side again, before bouncing back and moving away. Strategy was going to be her best bet, for the sheer force and power of her opponent would over power her. One had to admire his stamina if nothing else, the fight before had been tough and now he was after another opponent without slowing down.
Akemi dodged and weaved through the woods doing her best to stay out of range and perhaps maybe get back to the others for some sort of help. If she could just get close enough for them to hear her call then maybe? It seemed like little hope though as she was starting to tire but thankfully so was the bear.
The fight that ensued was bloody, long, and tiring and by the end of it she still hadn’t managed to kill the bear. Though by whatever graces above it had retreated for now, unable to complete the fight. Akemi laid there for a moment, curled up in a messy heap on the forest floor, water running down her nose and sides. She wasn’t sure when it had started to rain but at some point she had become doused. It was almost pleasing to see the water erase the signs of the battle, as if it would all just go away with time.
Her ears fell back against her head as she checked her wounds over. She’d live, might hurt for awhile, but that wasn’t anything unusual. What did strike a fear deep in her belly was the fact she had broken a rule, a cardinal rule. How would it be perceived? Would the bear come back after her, putting everyone else in danger? Would Inari hate her for going against the code of their clan? Would she be kicked out for such things? Perhaps she could hide it? Just pretend like it didn’t happen, if the storm washed all the evidence away, then she could stay with her tribe right? No one had to know.

Future Plots?
Rules broken – Akemi tends to follow the rules, bending them only slightly never breaking. So the first time she actually does break them she isn’t sure what to do. They’re told to never go near skinwalkers alone, it’s a strict rule, and it wasn’t like she meant to but she did and now she has to pay the price. A tough fight with a skinwalker leaves her battered and bruised and instead of instantly going back to the herd she hesitates and stays out for long hours. Which is very unlike her when she isn’t on a job, perhaps she sneaks back into camp and tries to hide it? She’s terrified of disappointing Inari or earning Yuuta’s displeasure. How’ll it turn out?
More than this – Akemi is more than what she appears, more than who she appears to be, she isn’t just this slacker who has no skills. I’d love for her knack of diplomacy to be discovered by accident, her talking down a situation that escalated out of control. The pride she’d feel would be vast.
Not exactly a botched, botched mission. – Everyone falls prey to a pretty thing every now and then, Akemi is no different. Yet still, there is a distinct time and place to be falling tail over head for someone. The middle of a special mission is really not the place. I want her to find someone she just falls for, so heavily, she can’t help herself. It puts her mission in jeopardy, and while she does manager said mission, it comes with a lot of problems, hardships, and not nearly the way it should have.
Do you agree to the conditions?: Yeah
