"... What do you do?" Bree wouldn't answer Kira's comment about her trepidation; that would just be self-defeat. Instead she watched, mesmerized by her umbric feat. "That's pretty impressive... I guess you've been doing this for a why, huh? I've just managed to make a contract with a familiar today." She looked down as she said this last part. Boy, her shoes really looked nice against the stable relief of the tiles the floor laid on in scales; that negative space though!
Breanna turned her head toward Elfi, but away again when she realized she wasn't talking to her. (sorry! lol)

Kira Delphine noticed the other girl in the room constructing some sort of display out of food, and as she carried it away, was asked a question about her ability."Well, I can turn into a shadow and still see and hear things. As for using it to see and hear things, I still haven't quite gotten it down yet. I have to be extremely focused and still to do it, but every time I try I lose the connection."Kira pondered this for a moment, before the girl from before spoke. She was asked about her job. This was a question she was used to answering by now, right?"Well, as a reaper I collect souls of the deceased. My job specifically is to collect the souls of children. I help them in moving out of the physical world into the after-life. There's a lot more too it, with judgement and sin and all of that, but that's the basis of it. I've been doing it for my entire life. Although since I've started at the academy, they've lightened my work load a bit so I can focus on my lessons and studies. So now that you've made a contract, what will you work on next?"Kira spoke kindly and sincerely. She truly wanted to know what this girl had planned. Since her own black magic had been learned for the soul purpose of work, she wondered what others did with their magic.

"Oh... You don't say. Eheh..." Bree's heart skipped a beat when Kira told her about her job. Mortals should be afraid of death, or Death, so this just proved how normal Bree was, really. She pulled herself together, glancing at her book and what it represented.
"I... Well, my familiar is a Tiger, so now I have to protect others courageously. The only problem with that is I'm not that courageous." She laughed nervously. "I'm more curious than courageous. I've always been interested in the Occult, so I guess I'll just keep learning about the Dark Arts while protecting others." She managed a smile. She couldn't help but notice the other girl was out of the conversation.
"What about you?" She said turning back. "What are you here for?"

Elfriede tapped her chin as she listened to the white haired girl's answer to the shadow question. She wondered if she could possible try to do this with her control over water, but she figured that since she honestly had no clue what she was doing when it came to her abilities, that would have to be a more advance practice she would have to get to sometime while she was here. Water was everywhere in some form or sense, and if she could manipulate it so she could listen and see through the vibrations through it or the natural reflection, it could help her in numerous ways. Especially information gathering and just being on the whole prepared for certain things. If she got really good at it, she could probably just send a little water into her classrooms and observe using it instead of having to actually walk to each one. Plus, she wouldn't have to ask questions. Hearing how the white haired girl was a reaper was pretty interesting. At least she knew that if she died reapers really looked like pretty people that use shadows. One more bit of information coming from this potluck of informational wealth from these two girls. Turning her attention to the brown haired girl when she was asked what she was going to do with her magic, she found it interesting that she had a tiger familiar, though how to get a familiar was something she didn't know hoe to do. If she ever got a familiar she would want it to be a fox, or a skunk. Something intelligent and sly, or something that makes for a good decoy for escaping. Elfriede raised her eyebrow when the brown haired girl turned the conversation spotlight back on her. She wasn't really use to being the center of attention due to having to answer a question. It was awkward. Tapping her chin, she wondered if she should actually tell the girl why she was here. Shrugging, she spoke up. "Last year I found out I wasn't human. Apparently my father was a type of fairy and my mother was a naiad, so I came her to figure out how to control my abilities. Mostly so I can fly without being blown away from the wind."

Kira Delphine listened to the brown hair girl speak about courage."Courage is something many people don't quite understand. There's a difference between being courageous and simply being foolish. You have to learn that sometimes, you have to step back. Getting yourself killed because of a poor choice in judgement doesn't help anyone. But I'm sure when the time comes, you 'll discover what your own courage is."She smiled and brushed her hair back."Why, just earlier today in class I was afraid to speak up when two students were arguing over a riddle. I took a deep breath and spoke up. Courage isn't necessarily about fighting in the war. Sometimes, it's about fighting your own little battles first."Kira thought about this for a moment. Currently, the reapers were in a war on their own. The problem was, they couldn't pinpoint the source of their enemies. She always felt like she was a coward for going to school instead of staying back and fighting, but knew she needed to sharpen her skills first if she were to be of any help.
Kira proceeded to listen to the other girl speak."Usually with beings like us, our abilities have something to do with our creation. I was created from shadows, so that explains it. Because of your birth, I assume your abilities have something to do with water? Water is a source of life, so I'm sure there is much you can do. As for flying? I fly when I have to, but to tell you the truth, I'm afraid of heights."Kira laughed a little bit at her own fears. She knew one day she'd have to overcome it, but for now, she would put her mind to other things."Oh, I'm so sorry, where are my manners? My name is Kira Delphine, third year student."

"Wow, that's cool!" Bree said with a smile to Elfi. "I'm just a plain old human who likes the Dark Arts... Even though they say it's not healthy for someone like me to practice them."
"That's... Really, profound, actually." Breanna didn't quite no what to say to Kira's wise statement. "So, I'll just keep fighting my own fight... Right, Mulu?" A small roar was heard from the page Bree had her book open to. A tiger-man sat on a stone wall overlooking some city. It all looked so fantastic! "So then, what exactly are you?" Bree had gathered that Kira wasn't human at this point.

Shrugging her shoulders, Elfriede moved to the back of the class to grab her small masterpiece, already the adhesive snacks were hardening, making the sugary school replica almost permanent. She didn't know if she would call sometimes appearing half naked in a crowd of people or being stuck ten feet of the ground when a particularly strong gust of wind blows by cool, but at least she didn't have to worry about drowning anymore. So one less way to die. Listening to their talk of courage, she wondered if it was really such a big deal whether you had it at the time or not. Of course there are going to be mistakes or regrets, but it takes a special kind of person to be a complete coward. The brown haired tiger girl didn't seem like that kind of person. Maybe a little naive, and probable disappointment issues based on what she was saying. But that was it. "I wouldn't say I'm afraid of heights." Elfriede said turning her attention to Kira as she picked off the pretzel tree branches that she built on her little replica and handed it to her. Someone that sophisticated and wise sounding deserved a sweet. "I just don't like not being able to get down from them, though you are right about the water. I'm just bad at that as well. By the way it's nice to meet you Kira, my name is Elfriede Cross, but it's just easier if people call me Elfi or Fluer." She said.

Kira Delphine smiled as the dark hair girl handed her the sweet. She wanted to be polite, so she ate it. She didn't need to eat or drink to survive, but she didn't want to come off as rude nonetheless. She looked over at the brown haired girl as she spoke."I'm a Grim Reaper."Kira pushed a piece of hair behind her ear. She then heard Elfi speak again about heights and water."I'm wondering if your water abilities work the same ways as my shadows. Not necessarily the same outcome, but I'm sure the technique and mindset are similar. And it is my pleasure to meet you."Kira smiled.

"Whoa..." Bree didn't really know what to say. "Like, when a person dies, there you are? That's... Wow." Seriously. If there was anyone who could fathom the phantasmal esotericisms come to be called Dark Arts, or the slightly more pedestrian "Black Magic," Bree was looking at it. Despite the evidence her vessel couldn't hold the wisdom held by celebrated practitioners or otherwise celebrities in the lore, as in the case of Lucian earlier, Bree thought this was the perfect chance to ask, "Would... Would you, um, mind teaching me a little?" Before that question was finished fully it was time for introductions.
"Oh! It's nice to meet you, Elfi. I'm Breanna. Breanna Martin." That smile of hers. If she was faking that, she should just quit now and head over to the theatre department.

Elfriede gave Breanna an acknowledging nod at her introduction and place another tree limb on her desk as she pondered over Kira's words. Hearing what Breanna asked, she stayed quiet to see how things would go. If Kira decided to teach Breanna or help her, Elfriede could probably get a few pointers herself. Especially since her time in her water basics class was kind of a dud earlier. Of course she didn't know anything about black magic or much of anything dealing with the occult personally, just in books really, so it was also possible that she wouldn't learn much of anything even if Kira said yes. As she sat there waiting for the response, she realized that she was talking to two very weird people. Kira seemed too smart for her age, and Breanna seemed much too bright and shiny to want to learn anything about black magic and the dark arts. Fun place this school was, at least so far.

Kira Delphine popped up a bit when she was asked to help teach Bree with Black Magic. She put her finger on her chin and thought about it for a minute."I think I could teach you some of the basics. But heed my warning. Dark Magic is not to be taken, for a better choice of the word, lightly. It's dangerous. I didn't have a choice in the matter, but you do. I would advise you to seek other sources of magic, but if you're absolutely sure that you can handle it, then I will show you the basics. But only the basics."Kira's tone turned incredibly serious. She had seen Dark Magic go wrong in so many scenarios, causing the deaths of many of the children's souls she's collected due to lack of control."If you are not careful, the darkness will consume you. I've seen it happen...but, it is completely your decision and yours alone."Kira lightened her tone a bit, but wanted to make sure Bree understood the risks in Black Magic.

"Nope, too late. I'm gonna summon a demon, make a contract with it, and take over the world." She laughed after a moment of dead seriousness to let the joke hit harder. "C'mon! What kind of person do you think I am?" However Breanna quickly saw the reaper's face was quite--*cough*--grim.
"Oh... You're serious." And so she mirrored that face; perhaps not perfectly with that porcelain smooth skin, and those polidimensional eyes... Damnit she was pretty. Could death ever come in that form; moreover could this contradiction diminish Kira's impact on Breanna? No, I don't think it could.
"If Mulu here needs me to keep protecting people, then I'll just have to learn Black Magic for that end. I can't just satisfy my own curiosity anymore..." There was a tapering of her voice which said she was sad to let that life as a self-gratifying explorer go, but there was a tone of strength throughout which carried her words with the inexorable weight of a true Dark Arts practitioner; a marker on the girl's soul since before it entered her body. Perhaps Kira'd seen it somewhere out there in the ether deciding.
Drake tried his damnedest to stop him self after being blasted by Glaurung,Drake hit the outside wall of a classroom and broke through it taking out most of the wall and a few windows.Drake bounced off the floor and hit the other wall and went into the hallway before skidding to a stop on his face,with peaces or rubble covering him.After a moment Drake slowly stood up shrugging off the rubble as he dose,he turned and walked back into the room through the hole in the wall as Glaurung appears in the room.My my you want to be a combat teacher with skills like those,Drake you have to push harder.Glaurung says and as he spoke he waved his hand and the wall that Draked walk through looked as though nothing had happened to it.Drake who was covered in bruises cuts and some burn marks sighed as he whipped way blood form above his left eye.Then let's get back to it then teach.He says,then he turned and seen this class room had students in it and he gave them a little smile.Sorry about the sudden brake in your studies.He says as he walks back towards the other hole.You should rest first drake.Glaurung says,as he looked at the rather injured man in front of him.

Elfriede raised an eyebrow in Breanna's direction. She was pretty sure Kira was being serious based on her tone, and if anything Elfriede had read about black magic was true, then Kira's tone was warranted. However she wasn't quite sure that Breanna understood that when she made the joke, but she was pretty sure she understood it after a second. However, Elfriede was curious as to what would happen. In the first few seconds of Kira saying yes, Breanna had taken her warning rather lightly with the joke. But she could see she was really serious when it came to dark magic. Elfriede wasn't sure Breanna could handle it, especially since she was sure the girl would not stop at just basics. It was one of those things that you had to wait and see what happens, and then intervene when you see something heading in a horribly wrong direction. Placing her replica of the school on her desk in the back of the room she leaned on it and checked the watch in her bag. Class still didn't start yet. Elfriede could honestly look back and say, she was not ready for today. She saw it all happen, she just didn't react. One minute, there was the conversation between Kira and Breanna, and then the next minute there were two holes in two walls and two unknown men who looked like they'd been fighting. Obviously, the blonde one was winning. Instead of letting her brain assess how shocked she was supposed to be at this turn of events, she let it assess why her arm was so numb. Looking down she saw that there were small glass shards in her replica, causing it to shine against the light dangerously, but there were also two larger glass shards in her arm, with a few bits that peppered but didn't enter or didn't enter as deeply. The largest one had entered just below her elbow where her tendon was, while the slightly smaller one pierced her flesh just below her shoulder. She attempted to move her fingers, but that was a little jerky, and her arm wasn't exactly working. She was pretty sure she was actually hurt. Is this schools nurse qualified for this? She didn't really know. It'd really stink to have to go to the hospital. It's not like it hurt really, unless she tried to move it, it was just numb and barely functional, and bleeding quite a bit. She figured the blood coming from the top wound probably shouldn't enter the one on the bottom, especially since it had little glass shards in it. It also didn't help to see that the wound had started cracking her shell, leaving spider web cracks down her arm, and one going up her neck and stopping on her check just under her eye. She'd have to be really careful or it's start peeling. 'I was not ready for today.' She thought to herself. Using her one good hand to obstruct the flow of blood since it she tried to use her jacket she might cause more breaks to form.

Kira Delphine nodded her at at Bree. She thought it would be best for Bree to at least learn from someone who understood the risks and would be able to tell if things were taking a turn for the worst."Very well, then. Before I go off to collect souls tonight, I shall get you started."Kira's tone shifted, for a brief second, back to her normal kind one. Before she could turn back around at her desk, there was a loud crash in the wall. Kira's fight reaction kicked in, and before anyone could blink, she had summoned her scythe and looked like she was ready to take on whatever came in.
As the dust cleared, Kira heard two men speaking and noticed they had broken through the wall. She stood up straight and took a deep breath of relief."Oh do be more careful, please. I was ready to decapitate the both of you. Someone could have gotten....hurt..."Kira's tone was back to its normal kind sound. She smiled and her scythe disappeared into a cloud of black smoke and vanished. When she turned around, she noticed Elfriede had glass shards in her arm as she had sat through the whole event in shock. Kira ran over to her and looked at her arm."Oh, your arm! And all of that blood. We need to get you to the nurse right away. Don't fret, I'll take care of you."Kira's tone was gentle and warming. She was used to speaking with children who had suddenly died and were upset at their unfortunate circumstances. The way she spoke was the same way she spoke to the children's souls she harvested. She looked to the injured man in the room as well."Come too if you feel the need to. I don't think a teacher's showing up anytime soon anyway."Kira showed a forgiving smile. She understood that accidents happen.
