Kira opened the door to the coffee shop and took a deep breath in. She loved the coffee aroma, and even though she didn't need to eat or drink, she still enjoyed a casual cup of coffee every now and again. She had changed into more casual attire; A black mini dress with black lace trimmings, and black combat boots. Her hair was in a ponytail, and she had a leather satchel draped over her shoulder. She had just finished purchasing her art supplies, and wanted to catch a break before heading to work.
Kira went to the counter and ordered a small black coffee. The stronger the coffee, the better the taste. At least, that's how it was for her. She found a table in the back corner and sat down. She sipped her coffee and pulled her black book from her bag. She wanted to try to look as normal as possible, which is why she changed her outfit and hair. Even though her hair and eye color were unusual, and she was a tad pale, she appeared to be relatively normal. She liked being normal once in a while. Being a reaper made her happy most of the time, but having strangers come up to you and either yell at you or make false accusations got tiring.
Kira took a long deep sigh and opened her book. It contained the schedule of soul pick ups for the evening. Of course, the pages were blank since only the assigned reaper's eyes could read it.

Asmodeus Folly Hello there~ ---Councelor--- ------------------<><><><><><><><><>------------------ The little girl in the red Victorian dress and short cute hair came in with a small bell chime. Softly walking, almost to a skip, to the counter. And reaching her hand up waved at the shop keep. "Hello~" in a sweet child tone.
The shop keep greeted her, and she pulled out of her tiny purse a few coins of change, and asked for a coffee. The clerk gave a nod and got her a coffee, which she took smiling and giving a wave as she turned and began towards the seats. A group had just gotten up while she was ordering, and she climbed up at a seat where there were now four empty at the table. And sipped her coffee daintily. After a few sips she reached into her small purse and pulled out a pack of cigarettes, popping one up into her lips and pulling up a lighter. Taking a longer drag and then bringing her coffee up for a few more sips. Letting out a nice sigh.
Kira was sitting at a small table in the corner reading her black death book when a familiar figure walked in. She looked up and noticed a young girl ordering a coffee. Kira squinted her eyes and looked at the girl. She noticed her take out a cigarette. That's when it clicked for her. The familiarity of the girl became clear. She looked young but she was in actuality, older. Much older. She took a quick sip of her coffee and looked back at her book.
The vampire. She recalled the event from many years ago. She was to collect the soul of a child, but then the child became a vampire and Kira was at a standstill. She took a deep sigh. She didn't necessarily hate the girl, but she wanted to try to avoid confrontation. She kept looking at her book, trying to blend in.

While the two were talking about whatever stupid thing people who just met talked about, Breanna noticed a couple familiar faces enter the cafe. She'd just made up with Kira, or whatever, and so that was cool, she smiled even, but Asmodues? ... Oh, boy. Instinct took over and Breanna waved down her Reaper friend to try and get her to sit with her. When that didn't work the ghost-talker got up and went to her.
"I"m really sorry about this... It was nice to meet you!" She said to Vi as she left with brew in hand.
"Kira!" She said in a sort of whisper yell. It was one of those strange mixes of excitement and concern. "What are you doing here??"
Asmodeus Folly Hello there~ ---Councelor--- ------------------<><><><><><><><><>------------------ Folly simply sat daintily sipping her coffee, and puffing on her cigarette every other sip. Once that cigarette was quickly used she kept the butt lit and used it to light another cigarette she placed in her lips following that one. Then extinguishing the old one into the now empty coffee. Folly was just looking upwards puffing, pondering it seemed.
A quick flash, a glaze of red going over her eyes, then depleting. She looked over, not with her head, only her eyes moved rather quickly and steadily locking onto Bree who had just gotten up rather hurriedly to approach another girl it seemed.
Mentally she spoke to Bree, softly, 'Oh dear, you don't need to be so worried or skittish-- Is that who I think it is!?' Folly turned her head fully and had a big smile upon recognizing the face who Bree had approached. "Is that really you, miss deadly?" She asked in a sweet but more mature voice tone albeit rather abruptly and loud. "It's been Centuries!" She stated hopping from her seat, even dropping her half finished cigarette into her empty coffee and walking to Kira and Bree's direction. Her hands loosely out to her sides almost as if for a hug.

Vi ignored the comment about their names rhyming and picked up her sandwich. She looked at it for a long moment before looking up at Bree. Sophomore?"Yes," she finally spoke. "I skipped Freshman year." Her eyes darted to the door. A girl with a black mini dress and combat boots walked in. Vi tilted her head to the side. She's really pretty. Another girl came in not long after the first. There's too many girls in here. Where's all the mature men? She pouted and turned back to Bree. Just as she did so she was leaving. "That's okay," she said, but she pouted again. She went back to her sandwich and began eating it. Taking large exaggerated bites and chewing furiously.
Kira had been somewhat lost in thought while reading her book, when a more than familiar voice entered her ears. Kira smiled and set her book down and closed it. She looked up at her friend Bree."Hello, Bree. It is always lovely to see you. I enjoy the occasional cup of coffee. It always smells so wonderful in here." Kira motioned to the empty chair in front of her to allow Bree to sit down."It's always nice to be accompanied by friends."Kira smiled and took another sip of her coffee.
Suddenly, another voice echoed in the room. As soon as the words left the girl's lips, Kira knew exactly who it was. It was the vampire she'd seen a few minutes ago. She stood up slowly and looked down at the table."I really wish you wouldn't call me that.."Kira managed to keep her overall kind tone, but there was a faint hint of annoyance embedded in her words. The girl then approached her, telling her how it'd been centuries since they'd last seen each other. Finally, Kira turned to her and crossed her arms."Yes, it has in fact been centuries. The last time I saw you, you were freshly turned and I couldn't save your soul."There was a little bitterness in Kira's tone. It wasn't necessarily directed at Folly, for Kira put some of the blame on herself. If she had arrived to collect the girl's soul a moment sooner, she wouldn't have been forced to continue her existence as a creature of the undead."You look well. Sometimes I forget that I'm not the only creature who doesn't age."

Asmodeus Folly Hello there~ ---Councelor--- ------------------<><><><><><><><><>------------------ Folly got up about two feet away from Kira before stopping, her hands going behind her back in a little ball, intertwining her fingers. Sweetly looking up at Kira, keeping a happy smile despite Kira's demeanor. Nodding softly in response. "Yes.... but rest assured, my soul is in no ones power, not even really my own~ hehe... you can't blame yourself though, I still don't even know who is to blame." She giggled. Waving a hand side to side, "Oh you jest, I'm old and unsavory, you have kept your cuteness and looks however." She said, smiling devilishly.
Mentally however, she was rather devilish with Bree's conscious. "Dear, you seem to make the most odd of friends~ Who is she to you?~"
Leaning to the side, and looking past Kira at Bree. Waving with one hand twiddling her fingers, a sweet smile, "Hello dear~ Nice to see you here."
Bree cursed herself for walking into this situation. How on Earth did an obvious nutjob like Asmodeus get on here at the school (no offense! sweatdrop )? She'd hoped to get to Kira before the counselor and split like a pistachio before dealing with this thing.
"Yeah, no, coffee's great. You know what goes great with coffee? PrivateBlackMagicpracticefarawayfromyouknowwhoo~" She had to sing it, just to drive it home in all its nervously obvious/obviously nervous glory. It was around this time Bree heard voices--the non-crazy variety--in her head. She glanced over at Asmodeus, demonstrating in full the terribleness of her poker face
"She's my friend! Now, we're leaving..." She looked at Kira expectantly at this moment. "Kira, you know you can get a lid for that, right?"
(Restricted, feel free to jump it. No reason to be that kid who eats alone. C: )

Asmodeus Folly Goodbye then~ ---Councelor--- ------------------<><><><><><><><><>------------------ Giving a coy smile with a hand over her lips, looking a Bree once again. Inserting into her mind a rather... PG-18+ mental image of Bree and Kira. 'You two would be so cute if more than just friends~'
With that she looked back up to Kira, with a soft and happy smile. "I'll be seeing you at school then~ If you ever need help in something or need to confide a secret in someone, your counselor is always gonna have her door open." She stated reassuringly. Quickly giving a cute half hug at Kira's waist then briskly walking out the door of the shop.
Kira listened and watched as the two figures before her interacted. There was something strange going on between them. It was like they were having a completely different conversation yet without saying a word. Then it dawned on Kira that Folly was in fact a vampire, and mind reading was an ability that some possessed."Such a shame I can't kill anyone with a soul. Otherwise I'd go right after the one who got to yours first. And I wouldn't be as friendly and composed as you may usually find me..."Kira's tone darkened as an almost sinister look off to the side. She truly wanted revenge, but Reapers were unable to kill any being with a soul. Even some undead creatures still had a soul, and so Kira could not do what part of her truly wanted.
Suddenly Bree spoke and Kira put her stuff away and grabbed her bag."I'm sorry Bree, but I must be going. I have things that I need to finish before classes resume. But I will see you in the near future and I will assist you with your practices. Now, if you'll please excuse me."Kira turned to leave when Folly looked at her smiling and hugged her before leaving. After she left, Kira looked at Bree and gave a small smile before leaving herself.

"That's... OK." Bree fell a little there, perhaps spiritually, in seeing what she would ultimately equate to two parents speaking of things non-concerning to a child of four-six-ten-fifteen. What was most interesting, if you care to dissect the mind of a ghost-fanatic, was the way in which all this was taken: in stride; the formation of a new identity? The refusal to allow past memes' repetition in her newly partitioned mind?--the same way by which a child born to alcoholics grows into an adult who runs an AA clinic; or the stylish rebellion of a chocoholic in every bite of luscious cakes and pips that certainly do not ruin one's dinner! This was the anchor from which Breanna tossed herself into a largely exploratory night of reading and re-reading things which, to be fair, oughtn't to be read or re-read by mortal eyes... Ever.
"Right, see you tomorrow, be safe." One sentence because it was one night, and one thought.
The angel Anise walked up to the little cafe with a few books in a bag slung around her shoulder. They looked heavy, like something you'd find in the Augustine library, and in her other arm was her answer to all the questions they posed in the form of a stack of notebooks. She'd forgotten about some rules of conduct and secrecy in lieu of--well, secrecy--or at the very least privacy. A magician doesn't let the public watch him practice.
It was magic, though, when Anise stepped into the cafe and immediately had the place on usual mode. It was panic, but for whatever reason the workers would seem comforted by it--at least the vets would---and would inevitably perform better than they had just a moment ago when nobody could make up their freaking mind about...! She sat down and brushed a holiday menu out of the way. Really, shouldn't have had to order. In theory, that is.

Jin had walked into the cafe with a hum. He took a seat and held the menu in hand, Reading over all the stuff on it. He gave a bored sigh and was twirling some scissors on his pointer finger.
"Hm~" He hummed. Waving the waitress away for he wasn't ready. The student sighed, putting the menu down. He looked up and saw the blonde teacher, though she didn't really interest him. His fingers just continued twirling the scissors in hand.
And of course she would have to look up, taking aside it was time for a break, a lap around the place, maybe a smoke out in the rain under the awning--whatever you want, she was not about to let something like this go unanswered. Damnit, we have a language! ... All of us. We should be using that language together to coexist as an intelligent web of species, not just call things how we're trained!
But to come over there, or get up, or even to say it with more than a few words, that would be a little much, eh? It would undermine all that sophistication talk. Suffice to say a word would suffice to suffuse the situation with all due subtlety.
"Tea." It came as a verbal nudge from the table adjacent yet far--as we are in the age of space for gadgets, not guests, eschewing social-ness for the electronic signal fly--to gently ram itself against the ear of the scissor-handed boy. If he was to look Anise would have not looked up from her books; taking the hide role in this game of seeking knowledge--if it was to be played at all!
